Well... My first paid commission is nearly finished. A friend recently has had me creating the graphics for a Kundalini course she's running in July. It has been hard work doing things for a woman who keeps changing her mind and whose first language is not English. The collection of images will be posted here soon (hopefully... read on). I have posted up the image of my poster being printed as an advert in a magazine!

I've just completed my 3rd lino print. I'm still learning techniques and styles, and should soon be able to create something AWESOME. I have various ideas for my future prints:
A piece based on the tale of Indra and the Ants
A piece based on Blakes 'Ancient of Days'
A piece conveying the idea of existence being but a dream of a sleeping god
A series based on 'Thunder, Perfect Mind' and 'Trimorphic Protennia'
A possible series based on Marcions 'Antithesis'...

My next piece however is going to be a little different... You'll see it when it's done!

My DA subscription is ending in a couple of weeks... I shall still be around, I'll just be lacking journal css and various options. However... If you would like to buy me a subscription that would be fantastic!

And... A change is coming... I am moving to Plymouth on July 6th in the hope of finding work and a life. While this is an awesome opportunity for me to start afresh, it will also mean my internet access will be more limited. Plus, I may not be able to do much digital art due to not having a computer than can cope with more than text files. But I will find a way to be on here posting my new lino pieces...

"I can't hear you!?"

After a while of no new art, I've come back with... LINO PRINTS!
I've recently been reading a biography of William Blake, and through to myself "I'd like to try print making" Sooo... yeah... I'm giving it a go. I've yet to buy proper printing ink/paint/medium, I've just used poster paint so far (due to a lack of money, and not knowing whether I'd be good enough). I think I show potential (if I do say so myself) and will buy the stuff when I have some money to spare.

I should, hopefully, get around to finishing Gods Wardrobe [link] pretty soon as well as try to get a few odd ideas out into photoshop. I've also got a more 'hands on' piece I've been meaning to work on, which I plan to continue tonight!

I'm back Baby! With new artwork and inspiration!

I'm experimenting with mixed media at the moment - I'm hoping to finally create something that is just... well... me! As much as I love the standard photomanipulation, they dont really stand out amongst a billion billion other manips. Hopefully I'll some day create something that people will recognise as a 'LordDarko'.

Conceptually, I'm back with the gnostic writings. I'm also letting various quotes inspire me more (such as my fave Blake quote). I'm currently reading 'The Power of Myth' my Joseph Campbell so will hopefully find more inspiration! Whoop Yeah!

Soooo.... I haven't been very active on here in a while. Kinda had a bit of manipulators-block! I started doing a book cover for Miguel over at the PTG Gnostic Forum, who writes vampire fiction. But, one of my flatmates (who owns the computer) deleted a load of my files and the PSD couldn't be retrieved with a file restorer. I've also been working on a mock B-movie poster. But the computer isn't handling it well. I swear to Jebus, if I get a 'Scratch disk full' message again I'm gonna kill someone! I'm probably going to reduce the image size to make it more workable, which is a shame, but I must finish it.

*UPDATE: IMAGE FINISHED!*

I also just received a comment from a member of November Threnody about the cover design I did for them (which he has only just seen). He's asking for more designs! YIPPEEE!

On a more personal note: I should be starting work at Royal Mail soon. My gnosticism is becoming more practical and awesome. I'm now officially single - so hit me up ladies!
