Hi there!

First of all, thank you to all who fav.ed, thanked or in any other way left a message on my page. Sorry but I couldn´t get to answering all one by one.
Bad excuse n1: I had no time realy, bad excuse n2: I didnt even noticed those placed on my frontpage because those are not reported in my inbox sometimes, and couldnt see them due to small browser window. Im realy Sorry!

I haven´t been online much and haven´t added a single work to my gallery for a long time now. I could write about why, but its just the usual boring stuff, school, work, life...

But this will change in a few days (weeks?) I hope! I´ve just ordered my first 3D PRINT, and I hope to have it received and finished by the end of the next week. I´ll post some screenshots, and if I´m realy bored, I may even texture and upload a render of the 3D model itself, but that would be kinda hard because I modeled the whole character as one object, and I´m not that good at mapping.

I hope to post something new and worthy of your attention in the next 2 weeks!
Have fun "arting" around!

I'v been very inactive for the last month. Thats because I don't have the time to do hobby modeling. The little time I have I spend with preparing for the airsoft season by home tuning my cheap chinese guns.

I also try to get a modeling job which pays, and I'm constantly doing test models, but I usually end up with the messege: "sorry, we found someone who is totally übercool, better luck next time sucka" which is = "we found someone who will do it for free, and is such and idiot that he even feeds cheese to his mouse, and thinks that Maya is the name of a porn star (it is) and 3DSMax stands for size like XL on clothes, just in a foreign language.".

Then after 2 weeks I see the same job posted again, because the super worker they found just didn't quiet work out. They find his test work on the net as free downloads along with the originals of his portfolio renders, all stolen from real artists. Also this super worker prolly tried to feed cheese into the mouth (battery holder) of his wireless mouse, and somehow it didn't wanted to eat it, and so he considered his mouse dead. So he mentally collapsed, and commited suicide.

Then after 2 more of these übercool employees, I got the job, along with another one of these idiots, because they think that I won't be able to model such complex things like dice under 3 months. And of course theres no pay, and the project dies, and everything gets lost.

As usuall.

After 2 months I see my work in another project, or as an item offered for sale on turbosquid and such sites with out any credit to me ofc. Cool, eh?

BTW, those übercool ppl should consider skipping the application part, and just start with the suicide part. It would make the life of employers and employees so much easier. Thank you very much in the name of Humanity.

I've received my first prints!

All looks cool, except the image of the ferrari is a bit darker then on screen. I'm still waiting for my mug to arrive, then I'll update my prints with higher quality ones as necessary.
I've also went to a shop here in the city and made a print of the same ferrari picture, and as I expeted it turned out horrible. On the same size it was blurred and dull, and it cost more then the deviant version with postage included. So I think it really does worth it to order from deviant art.

Today I'm going to get my new monitor It'll be a Samsung 226 CW . It is the best of the bad choices. All the high end color correct monitors are unavailable in my country, and I also had to obey some special circumstances while choosing, so I came up with this one. I don't know how it'll look, but I can only hope that it will have some better colors then all the other samsung tft-s. I'll know more by the end of the day

It may seem like that I've been inactive for the last few month in the modeling/art department. This was due to the fact that I got invited to a game project to work as a modeler It's really much fun! Also I'm still a bit ill at the moment but I'll survive

I'v got myself a printing subscription. I'm very interested in how my work would look when printed in professional ways. I could've taken my pictures to some places in the city here to get em printed, but I know their costs (expensive) and the kind of machines they work with. Printing with a lowcost HP inkjet on a cheap photopaper will never look good. Also I'v had some experience with shops making mouse pads and such from photos, and it turned out horrible.

So I'v not made this out of a business interest, I just want to see my work properly printed on a mug or mouse pad
I should recieve some samples in the next 2 weeks, and see how it turnes out.

Feel free to order some of my works, I'll be updating them and making more available for prints over time.

Just a friendly !WARNING!:
These pictures are not yet high dpi enough to look excellent as a print, but I will soon update them to higher quality. I have not yet seen any of these printed, so I don't know how it will look. So if you still decide to order one, I would suggest getting the smallest and cheapest print available first

Hi

As I mentioned in my last deviation, my old monitor is dead. It was a good over 10 years old philips 107B (or E?, hell knows after 12 years. It was the shortened smaller 17" version). It was working perfectly over the years. Some wear was noticeable on the colors, but it could be corrected with some video driver setup. 2 weaks ago I switched it on, it came to life alright, but when I went out for some drink while waiting for the booting it went cold black.
Now I'm using a philips 170S lcd-tft monitor, wich I borrowed from my father's office. It has some strange color presets. There is the "normal brightness with yellow instead of white", or there is "blue laser mode" wich burns out your eyes and has a color like an rgb picture with R and G disabled. SO its very very over-blue. There is a "custom color scheme" option where the user can set the RGB channels , so in theory it is possible to set it tocolor correct mode. Too bad it will never ever be done on a tft due to the way it works. Another bad thing about tfts for me is that it burns my eyes out, no matter how I set brightness and contrast. My eyes are just too sensitive for such brutal lighting.
This is also caused by the way tft-s project the image. The easiest way to imagine it, is to think of all the pixels as flaslight with different colors and brightness. If a pixel is a bright color, the flaslight is turned on and set to high brightness, if the color is dark or black, then it is turned to low brighness or even off. A tft cannot project dark colors, because dark to a tft means no light, and no light means we cant see it. old big CRT monitors allways project every color with the same "brightness", because the color of the pixel is only affected by the wavelenght of the light emitted. of course blue will always be brighter on any monitor then a dark-red, but you will only see it correctly displayed on a good old crt.

So, the conclusion, I need a good crt, 17-19". Any suggestions?

Yeah, I'm furious, outraged!!! I wanna kill those sonova' ****s who written 3dsmax5!!! As usual, I was makeing some "art" for 3 hours, then I pushed render, and in mid-render it just quit. Just like that. No prompt or anything. It quit so fast that I didn't even notice first. I thought I just accidentally switched to my net browser window.
So, you won't see what I'v been doing, cause I lost 2/3 of what I'v done so far. Autosave doesn't worth anything, it saves randomly allthough its set to 5 minutes. So, I'm going back to work. If I don't post for mor than 3 days, I'v thrown out this piece o s**t out the window. (I live on the 4th floor, so its gonna crash nicely)
Better luck to you when makeing art, and dont't forget to click the save button before you touch anything.

First of all, I'm not a "blogger" kinda person, so I have no idea what to write here
I'll start with some more details about me:

I'v never learned art, in any form, except the weekly lesson at school. I'm pretty bad at drawing with pencil, but I allways wanted to create. So I met my first 3D experince, when I got my hands on a demo of Maya. The first thing I created can be called "typical" for a man: it was a gun (a 1911 Colt to be precise). I even made a small animation with it, friring a bullet and loading. I done all that without any help, on one afternoon, so I got very happy that I could manage such a task. I liked plaing with playdough, and done some very simple ceramycs (a box, some dinasours, a dragon.. ) when I was around 6-10 years old. Modelling in 3D felt the same, but it gave endless freedom.

I got my hands on a full version of 3DSMax5 as the next step, and started learning how to use it from the tutorials that shipped with it. This was in 2003 september. So I set out on a jurney to be a 3D modeller, to learn useing a 3D application to such a level, that when
I wanted to modell something I liked, I could do it. Since then I spent most of my computer time modelling. I left off games for a long time.

Untill I found World of Warcraft. I played of Warcraft games earlier, and read fantasy books, I loved the "feel" of it since I was 7. SoI started playing again.

I found other hobbies, well before my "3D" time. I raced R/C modell cars for 4 years, and become 3 times hungarian champion. I got a wall full of cups. Once a year I have to turn em upside down to get the dust out before they overflow Sadly that hobbie became a past, as the racing community lost the only race track in the city.

I switched to flying R/C airplanes, it's cheaper and I can allways find a field to fly from. Also, flying (even when controlling a plane while standing on the ground) feels much more "free" than playing with an R/C car. I'm thinking about getting into the helicopter business, as I'v pushed my plane to the limits, and its no longer a challange to do a rolling harrier 20cm's from the ground.
I have a girlfriend now, I spend most of my time with her, so I do modelling and gameing much less frequently.
Antoher of my hobbies: I got myself a guitar 3 years ago. My parents said that they won't buy me one, cause I said I didn't want to learn playing it from a teacher. I just wanted to have one, and learn playing as I learned "playing" 3D, on my own. So one day after school, I went home with an extra bag on my back, with my first guitar. A year later I bought myself an electric one, because the acoustic "wooden box" was just not enough to play hard rock and metal

So, 'nough said, I do a lot of things.
Oh, I almost forgot, I'm learning at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, as a "transportation engineer". I forgot this cause it's not a hobby of mine, it compulsory

The point of all above is: you Can have a life, even if your obsessed with 3D modelling, MMORPGs, rock, and rc modelling

Gotta go and wave the national flag a bit in front of the parliment. We have a bit of a political crysis here at the moment
C'ya later, alligator

ps: sorry for my ballistic aproach to puctuation and spelling!
