I loved the movie! But... argh, it did a pretty good job reminding me that my english comprehension still needs work (reading is okay, but watching movies is kinda tough sometimes). I'm pretty sure I missed some details of the plot. (it's okay, it gives me an excuse to buy it when it'll come out on DVD)

Brad was awesome, as usual ^^ It's so nice to see him on the big screen again. For some reason, I thought he looked younger there than in other recent movies (like Halloween 2 or Humboldt County). I'm not exactly sure why. His character seemed like a good guy, and he even managed to survive at the end of the movie! (that was kinda surprising, since Nicolas Cage's character was constantly waving his gun under everyone's nose ) His part was kinda small, but he had a couple of nice scenes.

Talking about Nicolas Cage... well, I thought he was great ^^ I'm not especially a fan of the guy (he's okay, but most of his recent movies bore me.), but I had lot of fun watching him play the "bad lieutenant" He looked so messed up, and had many funny lines too. (some of them are in the movie trailer, BTW. Go see it!)

Some really samll parts of the movie reminded me vaguely of the Wild Blue Yonder... I think it was the music (really nice soundtrack, BTW. I'd buy it, if I ever have the chance), and some other moments where everyting was completely still. But still, it was a very different movie. I'll need to see other movies made by Herzog. Too bad they're kinda hard to find here, most of the time.

I hope other Dourif fans here are gonna have the chance to see that movie too! It's worth it ^^

Finished to read IT today, just before going to work. What a great beautiful book! Beautiful and terrifying. I really should have read this one a long time ago. Pure instant classic.

...I'm still reading IT. This book is PURE GENIUS. I just love how King can always create this bunch of characters, and manage to make them so lovable (my fav is Ben Hanscom, BTW). Of course, I also have a Huge Moment of Happiness everytime there's an allusion to the Dark Tower serie.

Lovable characters, links to my favorite books serie ever... but there still are also Huge Moments of Terror. OMG. I think I'll never eat another fortune cookie without feeling sick.

So... "What's up?" is the question now. Well... I've finally played Myst 4: Revelation and I'm replaying Exile right now, just for fun. Now I just have to find a place to buy Riven... I never had the chance to finish it. I'm finally going at the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal, in Création Littéraire (writing writing writing!). It's fun! Even if my first class, every monday, is gym, at 8:00AM (which means that I have to get up reaaaally early. Too early since I almost never sleep during the weekend). German classes are totally cool, I love them so much! And the teacher is so hysterical!

Beside school... Nothing, really. Oh yeah! Quelle honte, une absence aussi longue, c'est tout à fait horrible, j'avoue, j'avoue. Mais bon, pour me faire pardonner, je vais poster quelques trucs aujourd'hui, malgré mon état de fatigue (à ce niveau là, j'sais plus si le mot fatigue est correct. C'est pire.) TRÈS avancé.

Encore des dessins de persos de Brad Dourif (*soupir dans la salle*), mais c'est des feuilles d'expressions... J'sais pas pour vous, mais moi c'est le genre de trucs que j'aime bien regarder, que je connaisse le perso ou pas. Alors euh... voilà.

Awww, je suis joie ^^ Hier, je me suis décidée à réécouter enfin The Mound Builders, et comme à chaque fois que je réécoute un film en VO sans sous-titres, j'ai saisi de nouveau trucs à l'histoire. Coup de foudre sympa pour le perso de Brad là-dedans, Chad Jasker, même si c'est un pauvre idiot qui est un peu trop obsédé par l'argent. C'est un idiot, mais c'est l'idiot le plus adorable que j'ai jamais vu! Un Brad Dourif qui a tout juste 26 ans et qui se balade encore entre le cinéma et le théatre sans trop savoir quoi choisir... Il est A-DO-RA-BLE. Et puis comme si c'était pas déjà assez la joie de le voir comme ça... CHEST-SHOTS!!! Par Damballa, rien qu'à y penser, j'en bave sur mon lavier. J'emmerde les gens qui disent qu'il est trop maigre, Brad, moi je bave devant. Là.

J'ai d'ailleurs quelques dessins réflexions fait pendant que j'écoutais tout ça. Vais devoir les poster, je crois.

Sinon... Ma fanfiction sur Alien 4 stagne... Quelle horreur. Ça m'énerve de pas arriver à avancer, c'était bien la première fois que je m'amusais autant à écrire du point de vue d'un perso féminin (ce qui, en soit, est un exploit) et puis c'était pas une Mary-Sue (*encore sous l'effet de la déception et de l'horreur causées par sa vieille fic sur Death Machine*). Et puis, merde, je croyais pas que ça serait aussi long, cette fic en fait. J'avais en tête une dizaine de pages pas plus, mais avec tout ce que je rajoute, ça prend de l'ampleur...
Pour ce qui est du One-shot sur Deadwood, pareil, ça stagne. Je crois que ce que j'ai écrit pour l'instant est loin d'être génial de toute façon... Beuh.

Oui, je sais... Encore des fanarts de Death Machine. Mais, que voulez-vous, j'adore ce films! Et en plus je l'ai réécouté il n'y a pas très longtemps. ^^ J'en suis très heureuse... En ai profité pour convertir plus de gens au culte de Jack (et celui de Yutani, mais ça c'est une autre histoire.)

Oh, sinon.. J'AIME ROB ZOMBIE!!!!! J'ai terriblement hâte de voir le prochain film de Halloween! Ça redonne espoir, on verra à nouveau Brad sur grand écran! Une bonne chose puisque la dernière fois c'était pour Pulse et que ça a fait un flop pas possible. Ça va être génial, j'vous le dis! Je ne connais pas encore grand chose du personne du Shérif Brackett, j'ai hâte d'être plus au courant. Ça sera chouette de voir Brad dans un nouveau rôle, et pas dans celui d'un méchant en plus. Que de changement! ^^

Que du vieux, que du vieux... Des bonnes notes, je survis à la débilité profonde de la plupart des gens. Que voulez-vous, je suis une personne pleine de courage. Travail de français à finir demain, un texte argumentatif. Passionnant.

À la maison:

Pas grand chose de notable, j'en ai bien peur... Ma vie est si passionnante. Mais j'ai recommencé à écrire! Avec une amie, on parlait de Jack avant-hier et, du coup, on a fini par dire plein de connerie... Et elle a insisté pour que j'écrive un truc. J'avais pas me plaindre, ça concerne Jack après tout! Ai fini le mini one-shot, maintenant faut que j'écrive la seconde partie. J'ai pas encore d'idée, j'y travaille. Enfin, pas encore mais ça viendra. En ce moment, je travaille plutôt sur une fiche de forum. Ça avance bien et j'aime déjà pas mal mon perso, un ancien criminel qui a eu le malheur de se faire lobotomiser. Un miracle qu'il soit toujours capable de penser. Bref, qu'est-ce qu'on rigole! Life is Fun, comme le dirait si bien le Gémeau.

Hum. je viens de penser que j'ai un livre en retard pour la bibliothèque.. Argh. Peu importe. Allez, je file m'occuper à quelque chose de plus constructif.

Argh... j'ai envie d'écouter Deadwood. J'ai envie de revoir les acteurs, voir les magnifiques décors, entendre des "Fuck!" et des "Cocksuckers!"toute les dix secondes... Je veux pouvoir lancer des rires sataniques devant les combines de Al, grommeler contre Môsieur Fâché (Bullock), sourire devant la petite Sofia qui est si adorable. Je veux pouvoir rire des répliques cinglantes de Calamity, hurler comme une hystérique fanatique à chaque fois que l'on aperçoit le Docteur Cochran, danser en écoutant les musiques ragtime qui jouent dans le bar de Al... Pencher la tête sur le côté en disait "Awwwww...." lorsque Doc est gentil avec Jewel, m'exclamer que je le savais quand l'homme de Hearst se révèle être un psychopathe, pleurer à la mort du révérend... Je veux pouvoir m'irriter devant l'acharnement de Bullock, sourire devant Trixie et Star, couiner de dégoût lorsque les gens sortent le goudron brûlant et les plumes. Je veux pouvoir m'horripiler devant une atroce VF et baver en écoutant la VO. Je veux être frustrée à la mort de Wild Bill, rire en voyant Calamity dire à un type agonisant de se la fermer, essayer de comprendre ce que raconte Mr Wu, être écoeurée quand le Doc enfonce son instrument de métal dans la tête du type... Je veux me moquer de la gaucherie de EB, vouloir poker les cheveux de Dan, rire doucement en voyant Doc et Calamity discuter...

Bref... j'ai envie d'écouter Deadwood. Pourquoi suis-je aller prêter mes deux coffrets DVD (saison 1 et 2) à une amie? PARCE QUE JE SUIS STUPIDE! ... Argh... je vais lui demander qu'elle me le rende vite...

Complêtement crevée... pour rien en plus. J'ai assez dormi, je devrais pas être comme ça! Enfin bref, sans intérêt. J'écris ceci parce qu'il faut vraiment que je le raconte mais que tout le monde s'en fiche parmi les gens que je connais. Ainsi, même si je sais que probablement personne ne lira ce truc, au moins je l'aurai écrit.

Lundi, je suis allée au cinéma et j'ai vu The Wild Blue Yonder, un film allemand qui passait durant le festival de film Fantasia, à Montréal. Malheureusement le genre de film que l'on ne verra jamais dans les cinémas, parce que c'est tellement différent de ce que l'on voit tout le temps.

Ok, en gros, l'histoire. Tout est raconté par le personnage principal, un extraterrestre déchu joué par Brad Dourif. Lui et d'autres de sa race sont arrivés sur Terre il y a plusieurs années pour fonder une colonie... mais rien n'a fonctionné et, tout compte fait, ils n'ont créé qu'une ville fantôme. Ainsi, Brad Dourif nous raconte son histoire en s'adressant à la caméra et revient sur certains points, comme le mystère de Roswell...

Par ailleurs, il nous raconte également une expédition de la Nasa (de véritables images inédites sont utilisées d'ailleurs) qui envoya des astronautes dans l'espace en quête d'une planète de rehange, au cas où... Ainsi, à la suite d'un très long voyage, les humains finissent par tomber... Sur la Wild Blue Yonder, la planète du personnage de Brad Dourif qui est devenue inhabitée depuis le temps. Débarquant là, les atronautes commencent l'exploration et décident par la suite de faire une colonie sur cette planète, comme les habitants de la Wild Blue Yonder avait souhaité faire sur Terre. On devine que tout cela risque de se passer de la même façon: création d'une ville désertique...

Mais, lorsque les humains reviennent sur Terre, le temps a bien passé et plus rien n'est pareil. Beaucoup sont morts et il ne reste plus grand chose... À de nombreux endroits, la nature a repris la place qui était autrefois la sienne et les astronautes eux-même ont bien vieillis...

Ainsi, tout ça nous est raconté du point de vue de cet extraterrestre qui ne peut s'empêcher d'être un peu abasourdi de voir que les humains sont en train de reproduire l'erreur que sa race avait faite autrefois. Alors qu'il nous raconte tout, il se souvient également de sa planète (dont les images sont en fait des images filmées en Antarctique, sous l'eau, entre le sol et la glace) et comment cet endroit lui manque. En imaginant les humains fouler le sol de la Wild blue Yonder alors que lui est si loin sans pouvoir y retourner le met en colère et il semble que Brad Dourif ait été la personne parfaite pour jouer un tel rôle.

Bref, ce film est vraiment super, si vouus voulez voir quelque chose d'original sortant de l'ordinaire, c'est certain. Ne serait-ce que pour la beauté des images (et je ne parle pas que de Brad Dourif, bande de mauvaises langues que vous êtes)... Les plans de la Wild Blue Yonder ont quelque chose de féérique et, avec la musique en plus, ça a un côté un peu hypnotique tout à fait fascinant. Tout compte fait, j'ai adoré, ce qui est super, surtout quand on va voir un film sans trop savoir à quoi s'attendre (c'était le premier film de Brad Dourif que je voyais en anglais, dans un cinéma... et je n'avais pas trouvé beaucoup d'information sur l'histoire, donc je ne savais pas du tout à quoi m'attendre).

Un film que je recommande, donc!
