Please consider helping a poor college kid out and buying something! I'm actually looking forward to doing any of these. They were all fun to do.

And like I said in the comments of the picture, the buttons don't seal as nicely as the keychains do, and I'm pretty worried about them popping open. I'm going to play with using paste or something to ensure they get shut properly, and that won't be a problem. So some stress testing needs to be done on them. But the keychains seal like, air tight. They're pretty awesome. D:

the only thing I need you guys to do it leave another comment for those who haven't lost interest in doing this!

The trade:
I want to trade artist cards. They are these small 2.5 x 3.2 pieces of paper, such as bristol or watercolor, etc. that are meant to be used to draw and trade with other people. What I'd like to do is after drawing these, send them to each other so we can actually have them and collect them from each other.

What should we draw?

I was thinking of each drawing each others characters. Look through my deviations and draw the one you like the best, and I'll do the same. Don't have any characters? What's your favorite animal? Person? We can work something out.

I'm going to do these in the order of people commenting, so if you want to wait until I get to you to start the one for me, that's totally fine. But please, PLEASE do deliver on your end. I did trades many moons ago, and after working really hard on my half, never saw the other persons half, and it really put a damper on me wanting to do trades again. And I promise I'll get my half done. I'd feel terrible if I didn't. T_T

Also, these cards can be in whatever medium you're strongest in. If you're shaky with color, that's fine. Do some really nice inks or graphite work. Just put your best effort into it, because I'll be doing the same.

So here's my question. What do you think of Shepard Fairey and his use of "appropriated" images in his work? This is not, by far, the first time he's done it. would this even fly here on DA? If someone here traced a photo, and called it their art and their idea, and did not get permission to trace said photo, wouldn't we get pissed? So why does it seem ok for Fairey to essentially do the same thing? Or do you think he's finally getting what's coming to him?

To be honest, like i said in a comment, I'd rather be made to look silly than for these cats to really be being used as bait. Though I don't appreciate them getting thrown in the ocean. Especially for someone else's gain. Sounds more like attention needs to be payed to this guy, and not the video he made.
