I bought some Christmas lights the other day. I'm going to hang them from my bed (I have a four poster bed, so it should be awesome). I just might take pictures of them.

I could have sworn today was the thirteenth. I think I even wrote that it was 121309 in my notebook.

For the first time in my life today, I actually got a really cool idea from one of my dreams. I think it will be my next story I write.

I don't really have any funny or sentimental stories to tell about MrWolfeConcoctions, sadly. Well, aside from the fact that I found out that we both love olives in the last journal.

I do really like what I've read so far of his Combustible Dust series. It inspired me to start learning how to draw organic things like flowers and insects in a more realistic way (not that it is reflected in any way in my gallery. It's all in my sketchbook.) :)

Okay, good! Now, how long have you been writing for?
Three and a half years or so, but I've only really started writing in the past year or so.

There's always the dreaded subject of "Writer's Block". What do you do to overcome it?
I don't. I just pretend that there aren't things to write.

Okay! So, what do you like to write about most?
Dramatic things. With annoying cliffhangers.

Do you have a favorite FAVORITE author? Or just somebody/something inspiring to get you motivated?
I don't think I can pick an ultimate favorite, but Ray Bradbury really inspires me, as do J.K. Rowling and C.S. Lewis.

Alright, writers tend to "baby" certain characters. What's one or two characters you could not live without, currently?
Well, in my NaNoWriMo novel I should be working on right now, I have this one character named Conrad Ryder. He is a lieutenant in the police force, and I can't help but write in sappy scenes with him and his adorable family. Unfortunately, even he has bad things coming his way. :iconsadtardplz:

GASP. You're faced with the dilemma of killing one character off! Which one is it, and why?
Davis, my other police character. His death would be a very poetic and ironic one.

Finally, you're stuck on a deserted island with a character. Who is it, and why?
Conrad, because he's so nice and he would probably give me all of his food so I wouldn't starve.

2. Fabulous! And what got you into Fanfictions to begin with?
Lots of people were talking about them, so I read a few, and decided to contribute to the madness.

3. I see, so what kind of Fanfiction do you like to write?
Well, looking back over my recent ones, they're all very character/dialogue driven. I also love cliffhangers. But I'm not above writing snarky parodies.

4. Do you tend to write the same pairings/characters? Or are you a fandom whore?
I tend to stick to the Myst fandom, but I have a few Harry Potter ideas up my sleeve.

5. What is your most popular fanfic and why do you think people like it so?
According to the feedback I have, the most popular would be Sisyphus. Since I'm writing for a small, but devoted fanbase, it would take quite a bit to alienate them. That probably has something to do with it. :)

6. Forget other people, what is the fanfic you've written you're most proud of?
Forget other people? I can't! It's only because of my readers that I ever got Sisyphus finished. :D So Sisyphus is my favorite right now.

But I do have one in progress that I'm really excited about.

7. Do you find writing easy? Hard? What are the most difficult aspects of writing you struggle with?
Easy? Grammar and spelling. Hard? Not being too rushed or ending abruptly.

8. Write a few sentences or so of your favourite pairing or character.
Does this mean I do quotes? How about a short passage from several, to pique your interest?

I decided to do the comparison idea, so expect to see some really old drawings in my next picture. It's alright, you're allowed to criticize them to pieces if you so wish. It's definitely going to take a lot of guts on my part to post them.

I haven't been updating my pictures at all lately, sorry. I've just felt rather apathetic all summer. Hopefully school will get me up and running again soon.

Don't expect much to be posted here for a few days. Artistical-curls and I will be going to see the premiere for Half-Blood Prince on Tuesday with lots of people, and we're both frantically making ourselves scarves and preparing our costumes and characters. We both made up our characters, so this should be interesting. I'm going as Daisy Wigworthy, and she as Perenelle Bagman. We have bios written up and everything. :D

"Which book in the Harry Potter series is your favourite? Why? What is/are your favoirite scene(s) and quote(s)?"

If we go based on plot and story alone, my favorite book would be Half-Blood Prince. The sheer amount of plot twists and surprises in this book are enough to keep me wondering for quite a while. But if we go on meaning and symbolism, Deathly Hallows is my favorite. There are so many references to different things in that book (Alchemy, Christianity, Medieval Literature, etc) that you find something new in each re-read.

I'm starting a new thing in my journals. You people get to ask me any question, and I'll answer them all in my next journal. From technical to absurd, I'll answer anything as long as it doesn't get too embarrassing or personal (like asking me where I live and stuff like that).

The honor of the very first question goes to :iconartistical-curls:

"What is/are your favourite Harry Potter quote(s)? (They can be from the movies, but I didn't think you'd have any from the movies.)"

One of my favorite quotes in the whole series is from Deathly Hallows, after (spoiler) Harry has been hit with the killing curse and he's conversing with Dumbledore in the "World Between Worlds".

"'Tell me one last thing,' said Harry. 'Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?'

Dumbledore beamed at him, and his voice sounded loud and strong in Harry's ears even though the mist was descending again, obscuring his figure.

'Of course it's happening in your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?'"

Rowling herself says that she wrote the all of the previous books in anticipation of writing that one statement by Dumbledore. There's so much depth to that one sentence, I can't even begin to explain. John Granger in his book, The Deathly Hallows Lectures, explains it very well. I highly recommend that book to any Harry Potter fan.

I have recently discovered the joy of watercolor pencils. They are amazing.

Then I spilled water all over my laptop. Thankfully, Gateways are more resilient than Macs.
