I asked... they responded, tho the answer didnt make much sense either.

It's true... They are shutting down "Romantic Portraits" saying that people are posting pics in there wrong.

It seems that when they said "Romantic Portraits" they never meant ROMANCE...
They meant romantic as in the time period, and this confusses me because this is a PHOTOGRAPHY category and that wasnt really around durring this period of art. Id guess 99% of the submissions did the same thing I did and assumed it was meant as romance.

So why didnt they just change the description of such a popular group rather than break it down? who knows... I dont really give DA any credit for common sense. Its a place where the talented come to get an ego inflation and the not talented come to feel like they are more than they really are. (not saying which I am... but even I fit into that)

and now... Its moved! I mean... who the fuck is the new guy that up and moved a photo after all that?

I tried to figure out the difference in those sections.
I have no clue! (The way DA does submissions now I cant find the description of what goes where.)

So I tried to figure it out myself, and looked at the top all time in each.

All of you out there that want to be models... this is your chance, but you must understand that not everyone will get to be in this piece.

Now for the info:

The Project: A photo manipulation project ussing aprox. 20-25 photos to create a panoramic image of a team of super-heros.

Who I need: Females over the age of 18, Males any age. Any body type. Any style, Any race, Any... whatever. (Reason of Age Restriction on girls will be explained in "What I need")

What I need: Clear Photographs of high reslolution (prefer 300 dpi) in which you are shown in full from at least waist up. Standing Postition... but posed at your descretion. Head, torso and arms must be COMPLETE in shot and not cropped out in any way.

PHOTO MUST BE SHIRTLESS! (this is why no females under 18)

What I will be doing: I will be ussing the images to "paint" costumes on each person selected to be in the project. The images have to be shirtless because it allows the muscle structure to show up even the costome is on.

About 5-6 years ago I aquired an interest in Photography and began shooting friends. All my models are close friends (for the most part).
Later, I learned the joys of Photoshop. However, I refused to manipulate photos unless it is it is to a point beyond what I can do with the camera.
everything that I take on Film is a " Natural Crop" (Digital I am forced to crop on the comp tho, cause the image is always bigger than what it shows in the view finder).
Light and Darkness I may also adjust (because I hate Darkroom time) and there for have to adjust exposure somehow. But No removing or changing back frounds... no air brushing faces... You get what Im saying.
In the Future I want to continue my past.
