Haven't updated the journal in a LOOOONG while, and been neglecting Twitter as well. I've just been so busy with university these days that I don't have time to look around deviantART, especially as it seems to be acting up for the Firefox browser now.

But in the short gap I had to write this I also took it upon myself to move all my older work to the scraps as they're only making things look messy, I look back at my old works and grimace, "Was I really that crap those years ago?". But since people might be curious to where certain pieces went, instead of deleting them I just moved them to scraps.

By the time I submit this journal it will probably be another x amount of weeks before I ever get round to doing another one, I guess I'm not the kind of guy to document his life on the internet, who really cares what somebody's day went if you don't even know them?

As for requests I'm afraid that my workload prohibits me from doing personal works without exhausting myself, but I may consider doing the ones that were sent to me by note when I have the time. I'm just not surfing deviantART as regularly as I used to through time and technical problems (serious loading issues in search, galleries, devWATCH...etc).

It seems my attempts at getting commissions have fallen flat, perhaps I'm not good enough or people are cheapy-cheap to afford 6.50. I've decided that I might need some example works to show I really am good enough, and as I haven't been drawing lately, I'm going to change that by offering requests.

I am going to use this chance to create a small list of example artworks to boost the presentation of my commissions, so please be mindful that I would prefer the permission to use any works for my benefit, such as portfolios and example artworks.

So long as you read and obey the rules and limitations, everything will go smoothly!

Commission details

You may commission a single frame, a comic page or a sequence of frames of anything you wish. So long as it's content does not break deviantART policy, in other words, no adult stuff. Most commissions will be sketched or inked digitally with simple colour. Extra quality can be negotiated.

:bulletred:It costs $10 for every comic page, $8 if it's a newpaper-style strip.

:bulletred: Although thanking people for adding your artworks to their favourites is somewhat of a tradition around deviantART, I am fed up of people hyperlinking their works on my profile page with their fav-thankyous, it's bordering on unsolitied advertisement spam and until now I just tolerated it with simmering anger, leaving the comments alone to refrain from using the hide-comment tool. But I'm not allowing it anymore, srsly.

:bulletred: From this point on (and retroactively), any thank-you comments with URLs attached will be hidden. I don't believe comments should be hidden with no reason, otherwise I would be no better than those devianTARTs who hide and block people from saying their kawaii-desu fanart isn't perfect in every way! And with everybody else clueless to what actually happened.

    My mum got married to her fiancé just yesterday (as of posting), I was the 'Son of the Bride' and had to give her away and make a speech. With the help of my sister, I managed to do so well I made every woman in the room cry at my charming speech and warrant almost every person in the room to comment how well I verbalised it.

    I guess all that practising til mid-night proved useful after all!

    After purchasing some web-space with a conveniently-timed promotional offer from a nice webhost called Dreamhost, I now have my own domain with generous disk-space and bandwidth along with it. With that said, I'm looking for anybody who needs some web-space to do whatever they want to use it for. From websites to file-hosting, I'm pretty sure Dreamhost can do it all.

    But I'm sure with an offer like this, random passers-by will be tempted to scoop up a bargain and consider all this text tl;dr.

    My mum reminded me of a letter than came through today and I decided to check it out, it was rather confusing but I knew it was from UCAS, a UK organisation in connection with a university I wanted to do a course on 'Games Art & Design' for next year.

    Eventually I gave it to mum, reading the letter properly to tell me that I had succeeded in my only entry into the Norwich school of Art & design for fun days of fulfilment in drawing and making video games. On a unconditional basis no less, which means so long as I reply before a certain date I'm in regardless.

    All those scrabbled days of finding old artwork and rushing them into a portfolio paid off, fortunately an art-teacher and my other student-help teachers were there to help me prepare said portfolio. And my strangely enough, my mother banning me from all internet access until it was done had some perks, I was able to finally focus on some artwork for once instead of being drawn into cheap thrills.

    Something tells me next year is going to be a very productive year, I might even upload artwork more than once a lifetime?

    YMCK ...no, not the colour-plate for printers

    One of my friends introduced me to the nostalgic world of modern chip-tunes a week or so ago, apparently there is this J-band called YMCK who's songs are entirely played out in simulated 8-bit chip-tunes, similar to what the original Nintendo or Atari might have played.

    The songs were bouncy and upbeat just according to taste, and somehow despite the lyrics being all Japanese and non-understandable, I couldn't help but listen to them over and over again on Youtube. I'm usually the guy who's not into J-music because of said non-understandable lyrics but the whole musical genre allows me to tone out the vocals, they're a nice band!

    Their music videos also take on a nostalgia, all rendered with 8-bit similar graphics. Some utilising some rather advanced mode7 manipulation, it fits the music fantastically. If any of you passers-by are curious, just try searching 'YMCK' into Youtube and you should be able to find some of their songs there.

    Lastly it seems that one of the band members had made a synthesiser plug-in called the 'Magical 8-bit plugin', it gives AudioUnit/VSTi compatible music composer software the ability to emulate primitive sound-waves to create your own 8-bit chip-tunes, just in case you're curious and musically adept.

    The Colosseum

    I was interested to hear from my recently renewed friendship with *ConnerCoon that he was going to enter a kind of original-character tournament called and hosted by *TheColosseum. For those who aren't aware what an 'OC Tournament' is about, it's a kind of art-battle of people's characters in, you guessed it, a Colosseum.

    Since the final date for collecting ';participants' is the 30th of May, I've decided I'd give it a shot and complete with my main character, Mark Jerry. I'll have to look into the rulings a bit more but it looks I could have a partner compete alongside me, but anyway.

    I wanted to try out an OC tournament ever since I saw something called the Winter something.., unfortunately character entries was too far-gone for me to compete. Fortunately not only will I have time to enter, I'll be able to fight knowing someone in there likes me, my good friend *ConnerCoon! :> See you there mate!

    Daily Sketchbook
    After looking around Encyclopedia Dramatica I went onto one of ConceptArt's forum topics involving a lulzy round of shouting at artists who don't take critique if at all. I learned that if you make a Daily Sketchbook and draw something in real life, the practise will help you improve. So basically that's what I've been doing!

    I've only been doing it for a few days now, with the second day just finishing off a picture of my kitchen. There's only so much I can draw in my house before I run out of things to practise on. I'll probably draw some people and places around my college when it starts in September. My traditional skills are quite poor compared to my colouring so I need to balance some things out.

    Unfortunately this means the already lack of artwork I'm doing will practically stop, unless something amazing happens of course. Since I'd much rather learn to draw well rather than just to whore up stats and popularity.


    Satire!
    I've been surfing ED quite a lot recently, I find everything within it very funny and truely understand the core purpose of the site. Since a lot of furries, fetishists and sites get shot at by this website, I now understand true satire and enjoy the site for it's lulz. Mind you, this site does go a bit too far sometimes in the way of posting very personal information in public, that could lead to some bad abuse.

    But whether or not people find the articles about them or their friends funny, I know not to take the internet seriously. Also that the site itself is not responsible for libel or defamation, so making journals and generalising ED usually leads to having an article of yourself put on the front page ^^;


    Comic Series - Work in progress
    As I mentioned a while back, I'm one of those dreamers who wants to make a comic book series and one day publish it everywhere and get famous. Since I'm nowhere near to being a good comic book artist I've decided to just write down all the info on the series including a plot breakdown so when I do finally get onto drawing the project, I'll have some nice material to work from.

    Since I plan to publish books and story comics, there's a fairly low chance I'll upload these to the internet even as pages due to exclusivity and stuff. Maybe I'll put up a Web-comicstrip someday, maybe later.

    Dreamhost and devART prints
    Miscellenous info, I found a site called Dreamhost which offers fantastical paid webhosting. I was pretty impressed with the prices and features offered, especially the One-click install Wikimedia and PHPbb. They even increase disk-space and bandwidth weekly for free. Maybe if I had some time I would join that group, since my previous Hostiz shut down.

    I've been spying on the devART prints too, I thought it would be cool to submit one of my deviations as a Mug or fridge magnet. None of them are really good enough but I'll probably custom-draw something for that purpose and load it in for purchase.

    Conclusion - tl;dr
    Practising Life-drawing, writing up a comic book series, interested in getting a webhost again and thinking of making one of my deviations into a print I can buy myself.

    Noooooooo!
    The worst had happened, I checked onto my computer one day to discover it wouldn't turn on. I was pressing the button, checked the cables and nothing. Only a red LED from my Floppy/Memory-Card reader was working. With that big family holiday coming up and my friend not being able to come round, I was stuck with a broken computer for over a couple of weeks.

    I couldn't bring it to a shop because of the holiday, woe is me. At least until I decided to take the...

    Holiday to Newquay!
    Only a week ago I was in the Sunny coastal town of Newquay in Cornwall, home of the Cornish Pastry. I was there with my mum, mum's boyfriend Ian, Ian's parents, my sister and her boyfriend and Ian's sister and her boyfriend. A party of 9 going camping, hoo boy.

    Throughout the week we looked around shops, looks over the fantastic views of the bays and cliffs, I would've taken photos but mum didn't bring it, indirectly blaming me for not doing it myself considering she was using it on her holiday only a couple of weeks before then!

    One of those days was a trip to the beach, only around 100ft away from out campsite. It was neat because it had an amazing tide that one part of the day would be a half a mile of sand beach, the other day the entire bay would be covered in ocean. It even had it's own river that past our camp! Too bad it's against the rules to swim or use inflatables in there.
    =P

    I caught a Tan too, without even trying much! The only annoying thing was that my Tan also caused a Sunburn that lasted a few days. Ian always makes jokes of me being a vampire because I spend most of my time indoors, oh how true that statement was after that sunburn.
    :hmm:

    I did some gaming down at their arcades, totally owned OutRunSP2 and G.H.O.S.T. Squad against Ian who bet he could win against me. There are a ton of clubs and resturants all around, Newquay is like the polar opposite of my town, with Newquay being super-amazingly popular and teched out.
    You can guess the rest.

    The worst part of the trip wasn't the holiday at all, but rather the returning back home. There has been some major heavy rain last friday that flooded out many towns including Swindon, and guess where we were at the time...? The traffic jam was horrendous, the worst jam I and my mum had ever since. Our TomTom said we were 220 miles away when we decided to go on a shortcut. Two hours later and we had to turn back, the TomTom now read 220...So basically we had waited two hours only to make a total distance of Zero...

    It cleared itself eventually, but our estimated time to go back home went from 7pm to midnight literally.

    Yeeeeesssssss!
    Returning home, my Dad came to visit and I got to go to a family wedding reception at a hotel in my town. Yay! I like it when my dad visits, it's probably the only time in my life I genuinely enjoy a family member's company.

    My dad got robbed after the party while he was at his friends house. The ultimate diss; The thief sneaked in through the front door and not only stole my dad's phone, his wallet containing his license and cards and £500 but also stole his trousers. That's right, the thief stole his PANTS as he was sleeping on the couch...Bastards!

    Throughout the week up until now we've been spending time with each other including my sister, he managed to get back most of his stuff and cancel his stolen objects. The YEEESSS! part of this journal entry is also because my dad funded my computer to be fixed at the shop!

    Apparently the problem with my computer was a broken power supply, the 5 rails it uses to power each of the devices had one or more of it's rails broken. My floppy drive was still recieving power hence the red LED, but the rail powering my motherboard and such was gone, which was why my computer didn't turn on.

    Even more of a yes, not only did I get a new power supply, but my dad paid for new RAM I wanted. Now increasing my 512 to a 1Gb memory, whee!

    New Deviation! Gasp, litb007 drew something, reality is destablising!

    I recently uploaded a new deviation after many infinities of idleness. Please excuse the crap thumbnail, I would've made a custom thumbnail for my transparent PNG but devART hasn't (or more likely won't) re-implement that feature.

    It is vital you full-view and use either Firefox or IE7 for it to show up properly. (IE6 is crap and I have no sympathy for those who don't keep their computers up to date)

    It would also be nice if I could have some critique on it too, as always I'm trying to improve and it would be INFINITELY BETTER without the 'cool' or 'awesome' one-worders that devART is plagued with nowadays.

    I did numerous things to my account like sort out my friends list, obviously posting a new journal, new deviation, new inspiration to draw. But most of all I'm finally clearing my watchlist by commenting (and if it's good, favouriting) all the deviations I've been for so long. Now I have 693 deviations to sort out, and that's not including new ones that'll surely appear.

    I thought it would be fun to make pictures for a theme, I'll try to complete the entire list demonstrate my skill as an artist. Especially since I need an idea to actually draw =P

    I've really been getting into Skype just recently, with the £200 I got for my birthday, I got a headset and got to talk to some of my friends. It's just so funny sometimes when you do a conference call with a couple of others, it's just so much easier to talk to people that we often find it hard to make new topics to fill in the extra time :P

    Also recently I got a new game 'Dragonball Z: Tenkaichi 2' as a late birthday present; and I can tell you this, DBZ:T2 is a vast improvement from the previous game. More characters and ingame-transformations; not to mention other neat stuff like bigger arenas and more ways to counter your opponent's moves.

    They managed to intergrate the story of Dragonball, a better alternate to GT and even ALL of the Dragonball Z movies including Lord Slug and the undubbed 13th movie will also feature. I'm still pretty early in the game, but I'm sure I'll be playing this game for a very long time to come, considering the amount of stuff to unlock and the 5-v-5 team battles :P

    As for Kingdom Hearts 2, I completed it initally, but never actually saw that secret ending everybody talks about. Since doing Proud mode to get it was rather cheapy; especially considering it's not that much harder, I wanted to do every single task there was to not only completely-complete the game, but also watch that secret ending.
    With DBZ:T2, it seems a bit unlikely I'll be able to continue KH2 until it becomes slightly boring.
    Oh well... ^^;

    It's my Eighteenth birthday today!

    EDIT, The day after;
    Had a great day on my party, family friends came around and I ate loads of mini-sausages and savoury eggs. And loads of digital pictures of me standing next to my family. It was a good old time.

    Later on, I went with my dad and found a Pub. They say it's tradition to have a pint with your father at a Public house. We did so, but I don't like Alcohol so I got coke instead. It was funny because while I was messing with my iPod Nano (which I got to work), my dad was messing with his over-sensitive phone and we never spoke much except when I was playing Solitare
    :lol:

    The next day after college, Dad picked me up with my sister and we went electrical shopping, everybody wanted me to buy accessories for my pod but I consecutively declined and go indecisive on what I wanted to buy. So he gave me £100 to add to my other 100 so I could spend it on what I wanted. Awesome!

    I brought myself a new Headset with Mic, and finally downloaded Skype so I could do free internet calls. If you want to call me, Search 'Louisisthebest007' and make your opening statement using your deviantART username. It'll clear up a few things at least

    Just testing out deviantART's new Custom Journal CSS support by sprucing up my page a bit. I made sure not to use neon colours but still use my favourite blue-with-yellow colour scheme.
    Any feedback on it would be appresiated, since I don't want it to become another crap, ugly MySpace page!

    In case you can't see it, you might have to become a Beta Tester (Subscriber) for it to appear or create your own layout on your journal. But it's pretty good that devART decided to allow us some colour, and to a limited scale so people wouldn't start blinding us with Neon green on Pink backgrounds and whoo-hoo no embedded music/videos =P

    I've started a new community project, based on one of those interesting concepts I think of sometimes. The theme of this project is
    'What would deviantART be like if it were an Art Gallery?'

    While essentially I'll be doing most of the drawing stuff (like backgrounds and stuff), I just want to let you know that the picture will contain deviations and deviants from the site to be shown in the final result!

    Characters
    You may use the background as a reference image to draw your character (as an art observer) and send it to me along with where you want your character to stand in the picture.
    Be aware of perspective, characters drawn at odd angles for where they're standing will result in either moving them somewhere else or full-out rejection.

    Also, try to make your character 'clean-cut' so that they can be simply stuck on the image without having the very, VERY, annoying process of removing useless whitespace around the character. A tutorial for getting this effect coming soon.

    As well as removing whitespace, please send me the highest resolution version of your submission to me as you can find, I currently have the background at 600dpi and increasing the size of characters and deviations may screw up the quality.

    As you may see from the background, There are blank frames on the walls, these are the places where deviations can be placed. You can suggest DDs, others and your artwork, but please take note that I will only accept the best art pieces considering this is for higher-quality artwork.

    Submissions
    When making a note, please do not try to suggest too many deviations, nor should you do anything like 'Take a look at my gallery' or anything that would require more than one click to see a deviation.

    Also, remove any watermarks from your images. This is not a scam or a security risk, you won't need to watermark images considering they will be reduced and skewed in the final image.

    EDIT: Okay, I've now finished the background, Now I need to collect deviations and deviant entries for the final result. The final image will include a list of credits, who drew what and links to actual deviations.

    I recently heard news of a preview for the new deviantART v5 layout, as shown in [link] . I'm not sure about the access privliages...but you need to have Firefox to view it...anywho...

    At first, I thought the layout looked fantastic...everything was smooth and dynamic...no more reloading pages to switch from preview to full-view anymore ^^;
    But even though it's still in the Alpha stages...there were some downsides to the whole thing...

    First off, colour scheme. The whitish colour kinda loses the essence of deviantART and makes it look more like Sheezyart...which I do not like at all. I don't care if the edges stay pointy...I WANT GREY-GREEN!!!

    Secondly, the use of Greasemonkey strips is totally bunk on this new layout, while some scripts remain okay, ones like deviantGALLERY comes up with errors...and I really liked that extention :(

    It's still rather early on in development, so maybe they'll see the feedback and start inplementing changes that benifit the tastes of the community more. I'm not sure how the Greasemonkey scriptors are going to handle the new layout though :hmm:


    What's your opinion on the new layout?

    Been back a while with my new fixed computer, they were even nice enough to install Microsoft office absolutely free :)

    In other news, I got reeeealy sidetracked from my art due to gaining a new hobby...Interactive Fiction...
    It's kinda like a story where you can moves whereever you like and do what you want to do...so long as it was programmed into the game. The fun thing about it is that ADRIFT, a Interactive fiction program allows you to write and play your IF stories for free!

    The only problem is that with the unregistered version of ADRIFT, you can only make up to 25 objects of one category (You can have 25 Tasks but no more, but you can max out others like Objects and Rooms as it doesn't count up ALL elements in the limitation)

    But the good news is that to unlock the limitations you just pay £10 ($18) to get a number code through paypal, I'm currently getting my account verified so I can send an order to get my ADRIFT unlocked. Who knows, Maybe I'll submit some of my Interactive Fiction to deviantART for you to try?

    But if you do want to play ADRIFT files, You'll need to install the 'ADRIFT Runner' on the website...They're .taf files ^^;

    My computer had three problems with it;
    1) No matter what drivers I install, I can't get sound or Audio drivers onto the computer.
    2) Booting up isn't reliable and sometimes requires restarts.
    and just recently
    3) My computer doesn't care wether Floppy disks exists in my computer and ignores them entirely.

    I really wanted to do a fresh install so I could fix all the problems I've been having with it. After trying for days to Format C:\ because other ways failed, My computer can't install Windows XP due to 'Unknown Disk' partitions.

    Not only can't I reinstall Windows XP onto my computer, I can't even get onto my 'broken-down' computer because I had to Format my C: drive to do the fresh install :roll:

    I'm now stuck on my Mum's Laptop with tight installation rules and all my files being stuck on my computer unless I get SpinRite or get a Certified Technicion to install Windows for me.

    My mum got me a new Wireless adaptor for my computer yesterday and after a bit of fiddling I managed to get personal internet for the first time in my life! :W00t:

    Also, for some strange reason, My mum seems to have forgotten my Week-long ABEND as I'm able to use the computers without even getting a glance...But that's still good eh!

    The only problems is the fact my SoundMAX audio drivers seems to have disappeared from my computer, and trying to reinstall them is producing errors related to the fact the drivers aren't there :O_o:
    The guildwars game I finally got installed is really choppy at 30-40fps because my Graphics card is unsupported by their game. :roll:. And while my boot-up is getting better, it still requires some restarting to get it to load up properly.

    Hopefully I can fix these errors without having to uninstall and reinstall Windows, But if I can't find other ways, I'll have to back up my data and do the long, agonising chore of reinstalling all my previous programs back again!

    Only one week left til christmas...and one more week til I finally get my router and adaptor for my computer instead of using my mum's laptop all the time. :aww:

    The only annoying thing is the fact that I've come down with a cold, that sort of cold with really dribbly snot that makes me have to go get a tissue every other minutes and disrupts my internet surfing.

    I recently started a Thumbshare thread called 'The Incredible Commentator' where I would make a well-thought out critique for up to three deviations per person. However, even after declaring the topic closed, people still post their thumbs and some don't even adhere to the rules on 3 per person and no photos. :roll:

    I have about 33 people to critique, but with this cold; it might take longer then expected.

    I finally have home internet access, my mum brought a laptop straight off the shelf and install broadband onto it :D
    And about time too, but unfortunatly my computer has been delayed YET AGAIN until Next wednesday :roll:

    But at least that gives me time to get the old harddrive and give it to my friend to recover my files to transfer onto my new computer (and get my mum's files back onto her laptop of course).

    Yes, it has been a LOONG time since I made a journal...or even online for that matter! All because of the computer blowing up, It's completely ruining my 'Internet Junkie' reputation and gathering about 347 new devmessages at that :O_o:

    My dad ordered a really awesome computer from JAL systems; 3400Mhz 64-Bit processor, 512Mb DDR RAM and all that stuff...It was ordered about 2 weeks ago, I thought it would come on my birthday but delayed for 21 days...Then how atypical of life, It's delayed for another week.
    Which is seriously hurting my Collage assignments since I have no home computer or internet to use :hmm:

    I do have a borrowed computer, WinXPPro, but it has a crap office 95 which makes Windows internal program 'Wordpad' look like a god, and I can't even install Office 97 onto it because it's a borrowed computer :ohmygod:

    I've been reduced to sneakily going onto the collage computers to write this message because I haven't used my Library card in years and can't use their computers >_<. Believe me, Looking through 272 deviations is hell to work without Firefox's Tabbing feature.

    Well in any case, I should be getting my computer sometime at the 11th, and if my mum will allow me to drill holes in the ceiling, I could be getting internet access soon after that!

    Sorry I have been away for a long time recently. For some strange reason, my computer´s CPU got fried and now I can´t access the internet or my files until I get it transferred to my new computer on my birthday :roll:

    The only reason I'm able to write this journal is because I'm using a Internet cafe compy at 1€ per 20 minutes! The reason I'm using euros is because I'm on holiday at the moment in Lanzarote!
    I would've posted my holiday information before I left but obviously my computer was still b0rked from before.

    My holiday so far is pretty great, There's still internet even though it is very costly to use for a long time, I brought my sketchpad with me on the trip to see if the new area would inspire me to draw anything. Considering the fact I can't use Photoshop or my scanner, you won't see them for a while :hmm:

    Anywho, Just logged in to check if anybody missed me. I have a massive buttload of messages waiting for me in the devwatch bar :o

    Just started collage a week ago, It's a pretty nice place actually. The occasional annoyances from people who just take the mick but it's a relaxed atmosphere in there.

    Since all my classes are computer related...I get to play on all the Major programs like Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver, apparently you can get super cheap license version of the programs which are the same thing as the original but with Student discount.

    At the moment, My first assignment is to be handed in tomorrow. We had to go design a website for our favourite band with HTML...in only notepad!
    It was hard at first, but learning how to use inline frames and CSS makes it so much more awesomer :aww:

    Yesterday was the day my GCSE results would be compiled for use and viewage by my collage and me. After waiting ages for the mail to come, my mum came in back from work and asked me if I had my results yet.
    Later after driving up to the school, We actually have to collect the results ourselves! @_@


    When I read the results I was quite pleased, My results were
    4 Es - Engineering, RE, Geography
    2 Ds - IT, something else
    and...
    4 Cs - English, Science, Maths
    I needed 4 Cs to successfully enroll in the courses I wanted, Even better because I got all my Core Subjects passed, which is quite important in doing any kind of course in collage really ;)


    Now all I need is 20£ collage deposit (y'know, so the collage can replace borked or stolen equipment) and 3-5£ Student Membership for neat discounts in the UK ^_^

    Shortly after doing my course, I'll be able to get my EMAs which should be nice in funding my computer project :)

    In other news, My dad who lives in liverpool is coming down on saturday instead of the previously scheduled a few weeks later. It's a really nice suprise since I don't see him very often.
    He'll be here around up to Wednesday, So I might be gone for a few days spending time with my dad and sorting on getting parts for my own computer :)

    I noticed that many people around deviantART don't use AIM...They use other things like YIM and MSN only, which can be a bit of a drag when I try to talk to them...

    So I signed up for all the accounts and wa-la! Now everybody can contact me, and visca-versa :D

    Mind you, I will stick with AIM more then the others, I'm just using the other to test with, and so people can ask to speak on a certain messenger and I'll be able to do it!

    Obviously this search is basic and lacks the advanced features they talked about, but this is to test it out on the public to see how well it copes with the load of users using it. Then, they'll bring out the full version!

    My computer is just taking the :censored: now. When the internet wasn't working, I had to restart. And a billion times I had to try to get it working because it would either.

    a) Freeze up, making me have to restart again.
    b) Ask for me to go into Window's Safe mode...which doesn't help because it crashes as well.
    and c) It seems its funny when I almost get to the controls and suddenly the screen goes black, because it's automatically restarted. :hmm:

    Also sometimes, the screen turns off...and thats a pain to keep it 'on' when I have the computer running...God sakes, I'd take a pre-made computer right now rather then wait later to make my own :crying:

    Its not entirely the fact that if the computer did blow up or permanently crash that I would lose all my files and programs, Its the fact that my mum will BLAME ME for the computer crashing for the sole reason that I go on it the most. She said it was either me or NTL (my ISP) that was causing it, Since an ISP only does the internet and my problems are computer based, she was practically inplying that its all MY FAULT >_<

    As I'm writing this, the computer is okay now. But that was after changing the Graphics accelleration to None, hoping that'll reduce the crashing times. But the image updating is a bit laggy, Which is probably what the controls meant.
    My kingdom for 256 RAM and a WinXP disk!

    Just finish scripting for CD#1, might need a few changes here and there but its pretty much okay.
    I have been thinking about my current artistic skill as of late, I reflected upon myself and discovered that I still need to find out how to use advanced cel-shading as my current cel-shading is still very basic, pretty much only shading and still haven't used highlights or other techniques.

    Plus I need to learn the muscular anatomy and the natural figures drawing to make my characters and creatures more anthropometric realistic.

    The final thing I have to learn is the physics of crease-lines and line art detail. All these elements would be perfect in making good pictures for when I draw out my comic.

    I could go on working on the comic and do the Sketching/Colouring stages with doing anymore learning, But seeing as this is my first 'professional' comic series. I 'm kinda conflicted between Speed and Quality. And absolutely any constructive criticism would be appreciated.

    I could sure use some interesting tutorials on the subjects, but seeing how slow it was to complete a Script, Can I really afford the time to find tutorials to effectively complete the stages I haven't even got up to yet? (Sketching goes after Storyboarding/Dialogue btw)

    I've been a very lazy artist for these couple of weeks, not doing any pieces of art and just watching TV and playing games. After realising how neat it was scripting the first part of the first issue, I thought I might work on actually making the comics instead of saying I was in #devart. ^^;

    The comic is in the early stages of creation but I'm willing to do it. Not for my boredom but because making a comic series that some people like is fun.

    For those who are interested in my comic, Please note I'm only going to submit entire episodes per submission. So every comic will be far apart from each other. But I'll still upload individual deviations from time to time though.
