My cosplays this year were Hao Asakura on Friday and Sunday (currently in my gallery) and RKO Caterina Sforza on Saturday (Trinity Blood - will be uploaded when I find a pic).

Thursday: Went to the Doubletree Hotel to pick up my pre-registration before the convention started. That didn't take too long, but then we had to wait around for the Weapons Master to show up so that I could check my SOF sword.

Friday: Checked in to the Doubletree at around 2:30 PM, and the line wasn't too bad. Had a nice corner room to myself with a beautiful view of the parking lot XD After changing into Hao, I headed over to the TCC to wait for my friends to pick up their own badges. Then I just kind of started wandering around the Comic Market (since there was 'no' way I was waiting in the huge line to get into the Dealer's Room). Picked up a smaller version of the Axel/Jun picture I have from Kina, and another print while I was there. After heading back to my room and eating a slice of pizza, I headed down to the Renaissance Hotel for the Nominoichi at 9 PM. There were so many people in there that it was hard to even move, so I didn't really buy a heck of a lot. Just an Amidamaru figure, and some Shaman King postcards. After that, I turned in for the night.

Saturday: Got up early in order to hairspray my Caterina wig to death...again >>. I swear, those curls will not stay and exist to just drive me crazy. But anyway, once I was finally all ready to go, I headed down to the TCC to check out the Dealer's Room. I have to say, it all seemed to be the same sort of stuff at most of the tables. Manga, DVD's, random accessories...guess stuff I don't really need. Of course, the only things I were looking for they didn't have, so I ended up leaving empty handed. Went back to my hotel room to fix up my wig 'again' before the Trinity Blood photoshoot. Now that, I have to say, was...interesting XD I now know what it's like to not be able to walk more than ten feet without being stopped for pictures. It was kind of nice when it first started but once you're stuck outside, in a black outfit, with a long wig for long periods of time...it gets very, very hot. By the time the group actually reached the TCC, I think we were all ready to pass out. I headed inside in the hopes of getting Carrie Savage's autograph (Asta in TB), only to find out they had already cut the line before she even started signing >>. I wasn't about to 'wait by the wall and see if space opens up' like I was told, so I just went to take another look around the Dealer's Room. I ended up going to Carrie's discussion panel later on, and she ended up signing autographs after it was over anyway. I was very grateful for that ^^. I then hiked back up to my room, ditched my costume for a bit (I was 'dying' at this point) and had dinner (yay for chocolate milkshakes XD). I just kind of hung around in my room until I went to line up for the masquerade. At least I didn't have to wait long in the line. Once inside, I ended up sitting with some of our TB group again. Sometimes it helps if you just go on your own, since you can generally get seats closer to the front. Anyway, the masquerade was good, although I recognized very few of the costumes in it. Ah well. Once that was done, I went up to my room again and effectively passed out.

Sunday: Dressed as Hao again and met my parents for breakfast in the hotel restaurant. I have to admit, it's fun hearing people say 'OMG it's Hao' from the other tables around you XD Although I think I probably scared the waiter, as he didn't even look at me *shrugs* Spent the rest of the morning just checking out the Dealer's Room and Comic Market again, before heading over to the Heather Dale concert. Truthfully, I didn't think I'd like the music, and I had only gone early to get a good seat for the Charity Auction...but it was actually kind of neat ^^. Then, after she was done, came the Charity Auction. It's basically where a bunch of stuff is auctioned off (some by Voice Actors) and all of the proceeds go to the Hospital for Sick Kids. I didn't really pay much attention to most of the stuff that was being auctioned off, except for the Trinity Blood stuff near the end. I ended up getting an autographed version of the Limited Edition First DVD Box Set thing...but trust me when I say it was 'not' cheap. Ah, the joys of bidding wars ><. I didn't really mind though, as I bought next to nothing the rest of the time I was there. And it got me a hug from Vic Mignogna, so I can't complain. After that, it was time to head home for another year.

Well, I came up with it when Pokemon 2000 came out. Lugia was my favourite Pokemon, and the short form for the movie was P2K so...here I am. I don’t watch Pokemon anymore, but I guess I’m just too lazy to change from it. As for joining DA...I don’t honestly remember why I did. Just to have a place to stick my drawings.

Had a few pics taken of my costumes (which I'm still trying to find online), and had some dealer take my pic in my Hao cosplay because he said he'd never seen anyone with the balls to do Hao's costume because of how difficult it is XD. Also got a hug from a L (I think? I'm not too sure with Deathnote...) as I was cosplaying Hao too. And I've discovered once again that being dressed as Yoh is annoying because you don't know if people are calling to you when they say it, or calling to one of their other friends XD.

Went to the masquerade with my friend on Saturday, and was amazed that I actually saw Trinity Blood costumes ^^. Well, I knew one was going to be in from reading threads on cosplay.com, but I didn't know about the others. There was a Tres, Esther, Queen Esther, and Caterina...who I couldn't find after the masquerade to get pictures of. Ah well.

The Dealer's room didn't really thrill me all that much this year, and I didn't end up buying very much: Trinity Blood Rage Against the Moons 1 and 2, Trinity Blood OST Music File, Trinity Blood cross necklace, Trinity Blood keychains (see a trend here?), Kingdom Hearts II Volume 2, a Devil May Cry 2 random figure box for my brother, and two Shaman King pins of Yoh and Hao (from Artist's Alley). I think I spent more money on food than I did on other stuff >>.

Went to get an autograph from Quinton Flynn (VA for Axel) on Sunday, and was amazed at the sheer amount of people who lined up. I'm glad I decided to forgo going to a brunch I got a free ticket for to line up instead. It turned out that they were running late, and he had to leave early, so I think a lot of people in line missed out on getting autographs. All in all, I did have a great time, and wish I could go back already ^^.

Let's see...only 67 more days until Anime North. Which means, I should really get going on my Hao cosplay. But...I'm just not inspired to make a costume which I have made three times now (this will be the fourth) and draw up patterns for a sword almost as tall as I am. Well, I'm sure the inspiration to do it will come to me soon...I hope. Probably has something to do with the fact that I've seen a nice Abel costume on EBay and I am incredibly tempted to buy it. Oh well, at least I have my hotel room booked, and have purchased my ticket.

Work is going alright, I suppose. It isn't really hard or anything, just kind of boring (I work at the checkout in a grocery store). They must have some faith in me there though, since they keep calling me in to help out, and keep putting me on the Express lane. Ah well, it's money after all ^^. Could be a lot worse. I bet it's going to be really busy on Saturday this week though...

Hm, let's see, anything else...Oh, right. We're trying to tame another cat right now, who lives outside. She's slowly inching closer to us when we go outside to feed her, so we're certain we'll be able to pet her soon enough. Then Alexandra can have a friend XD

-Picked up my Suikoden commission and then headed off to the Gaia Gathering
-Left the convention around 8:30 PM

-Arrived at the con about 10:15 AM and went to pick up tickets to watch the Masquerade
-Headed into the Dealer’s room to meet Veronica Taylor**
-Went to McDonald’s for lunch (took us about half an hour to get there since we were trying to kill time; I got a few strange glances walking down the streets of Toronto with a katana as well) before heading back to the convention
-Did some shopping before heading off to watch some horror movie with my father
-Went to look for an unofficial Gaia Gathering, but didn’t end up finding anyone
-Headed to Union Station to grab some subs for dinner; while having a young boy curiously look over my sword and the plushie Amidamaru on my shoulder
-Headed back to line up for the Masquerade around 6:00 PM
-Took some pictures of other Shaman King cosplayers
-Waited in line for nearly two and a half hours, only to have the line become a mad rush for the door as soon as they were opened (yeah really fair to let the people that showed up ten minutes before get in before the people who were there for hours >< )
-Watched the Masquerade until around 10:30 PM (there was a Suikoden III skit ^^) before heading out to try and find said Suikoden cosplayers
-Didn’t end up finding them but ran into a group with two kids who were completely fascinated with Harusame and ended up chatting with them and their parents for a while before handing over one of my business cards and heading off for the night

-Was one of the first people eliminated from the game; waited around to get a signed autograph card from DJ Helsing
-Headed around the Dealer’s Room once more looking for a Shaman King wall scroll (I found two, but not the one I was looking for) before leaving the convention around 4:30 PM


*Sean ended up writing a grocery list for me (as a joke; since my notepad looked like it was supposed to be used for such things), including: milk, eggs, cereal, and Shreddies. He signed as Goku; not seeming to remember playing Amidamaru at all.

**I ended reminding Veronica about Shaman King and she talked about how much she enjoyed playing Tamara. She signed a Japanese Shaman King card of Tamara for me.
