Yeah, I've kinda been stuck at rehearsal most of the time.

Today I got a nasty splinter. Managed to get it out and clean it up though. 's'all good.

So now I'm on an hour long dinner break. I have to be back at rehearsal in 20 minutes, and then I won't be home until AT LEAST 8.

Yeah, hell week sure is fun.

I do not want a Facebook account.

Multiple people consistantly try to make me get one. And a good amount of those people know very well that I dislike Facebook to begin with. I don't like it when people try to convince me to get one.

I hate it even more when those same people get annoyed at me for trying to get them to try something out that I like.

And it makes me want to slap them when after they get annoyed with me, they justify their Facebook crap with some variation of "Well, I like it I thought you'd like it."

I do not want a Facebook.

Now everyone please stop trying to convince me to get one.

Though the people that are most annoying about this probably won't see it anyway. I just wanted to vent, I guess.

Metroid Prime 3 is the most hardcore game on the Wii.

Carnival Games is...surprisingly making any profit at all.

Nintendo doesn't realize that the core audience is what's keeping them ahead. Sure, Wii Fit may bring in a HUGE profit with its misleading nature (the game alone does not make you get in shape. You're all bloody stupid), but the thing is, once Wii Fit has passed, what will Nintendo do with the huge amount of people who bought it? Wii Fit is as big as it is because Nintendo mass-spamvertised it on everything. It's no bigger a game than Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, or Metroid Prime 3. But Nintendo knows that they wouludn't rake in as many people with hardcore games.
But that is exactly the problem. Nintendo is a gaming company, regardless of what Wii Fit leads you to believe. They're going to actually make games now; games that the "Wii Fit audience" won't care about. Thus, the Wii Fit audience won't buy these games, and Nintendo won't make a huge profit out it. Nintendo will have to keep making games like Wii Fit and mass-spamvertising them to keep this audience. But such a fad can only last so long. They can only make so many games that help you in daily life like Wii Fit and Brain Age before they run out of ideas. And of course, the casual audience isn't going to buy sequel after sequel after sequel. I know someone who loved Super Smash Bros. Melee, and said it was the greatest game ever. Then I asked if he was going to get Brawl, and he didn't know that Brawl was out. Therein lies the problem. The casual audience won't keep following sequels. Thus, they won't buy the sequels. Eventually, they will lose this audience.
But they won't have the hardcore audience anymore if they keep up at this rate. While Nintendo was mass-spamvertising Wii Fit, they were completely neglecting their other games. I never saw any advertisements for Metroid Prime 3. I never saw any advertisements for Super Mario Galaxy. I never saw any advertisements for Twilight Princess. I never saw any advertisements for Radiant Dawn. I never saw any advertisements for Zack and Wiki. Super Smash Bros. Brawl had advertising, but there was only the Dojo. The fans did the rest, in their fan communities and in hardcore gaming magazines.

And you know what? I just named every hardcore game I can think of off the top of my head.

Nintendo has stopped caring about how well the hardcore games are selling. Retro Studios, creator of the Metroid Prime series, recently got upset over the advertising for Metroid Prime 3, and fired two members of their art department. If core games keep selling badly, then eventually the developers of the core games will stop working for Nintendo, because they're losing money. They will leave and go to Sony and Microsoft. And once the core gamers have lost their games in Nintendo, they too will shift completely to Sony and Microsoft.
Nintendo is making all the wrong choices. Yes, they're making money now, but sometime down the road, they'll end up like Sega did.
For those who don't know, Sega got really stupid and it ended up in them losing their audience, and they stopped making consoles because of it.

But I'm ranting now.
I just feel I need to vent how I feel.

And I just had a funny moment in Chapter 8.
You see, in Chapter 8, you have to defend the castle for eight turns. There are three entrances into the main area where the "seize" point is. Each entrance is one square wide, meaning you can position a character in the entrance to prevent enemies from getting through. Now, the archers are unable to attack enemies less than two squares away from then. So what happened? The enemy archers ended up directly in front of the character I set to defend the entrance. At the same time, all the other enemies grouped around the archer so he couldn't move. Thus, the character I stationed there could not be attacked, and I could do next to nothing for the whole battle!
Except of course, singing "Livin' On A Prayer" during turn five. (âªOooohhhh! We're halfway there! OOOHH-OHH! Livin' on a prayer!)

Rant about Brawl.
More specifically, about a certain character in Brawl.
A spoilerish-character known as R.O.B.

When it was first revealed that R.O.B. was playable, people hated him. They believed he had no real part in Nintendo, and that no one wanted him.

He had a huge part in not only Nintendo, but the history of video games in general. R.O.B. practically saved video games.
There was a time when Atari screwed up so bad, that it ended up in video games becoming a commercial failure. Stores refused to sell video games. This happened right around the time that Nintendo had finished their first home console, the NES. So what did Nintendo do to get around this? They developed the Robotic Operating Buddy. R.O.B. With R.O.B. packaged with the NES, Nintendo could pass the NES off as a toy, which stores would sell. With games like Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda, the NES became a huge success, breathing new life into the gaming industry.

Essentially, R.O.B. saved video games. Without him, there would be no Smash Bros. for you to BITCH about.

Also, people wanted a character that no one was expecting. Now we have him, and you complain that no one wanted him. Wtf.

I for one love R.O.B. Always have. He's an awesome character. He's also a great fighter. Top tier, probably.
