While this is NOT the last Halo, it is the last one being produced by developer Bungie, with ownership moving to Microsoft's 343 Industries after Reach. So, in essence, it's the last TRUE Halo, and frankly, I don't know if I'll look at subsequent Halos the same way.
That being said, I'm extremely excited. I was in the Reach Beta, and I saw a glimpse of what could be. Needless to say, I was dumbstruck.
I also pre-ordered the Legendary Edition. Some might scoff, but I like the sound of all those extras.

Does anyone else have similar thoughts?

I'm not doing any art for a while, though. I just can't. I have my own apartment in Edmonton, and I finally got myself a job. I work 8-4 every day, and I'm gonna save up and take some art classes. See, when I learned how to draw, I eschewed most lessons in favor of learning how to draw by sight. I see now that this was a mistake. Currently playing Halo 3: ODST, and it really is a different feeling for a Halo game entirely. The VISR system, the usage of tactics to win, and the slightly enhanced graphics, along with the open world/flashback themed gameplay easily set it above all other Halo games.
