Dear god. I have waited sooo long for this game. It looks cooler than I imagined too. I have always been a fan of the Devil May Cry series. Badass heroes and villains, kickass action and boss fights. If you have a good PC, an XBOX360, or a PS3, get this game. Nero (the humanoid) has an ability with amazing possibilities. Unlike the protagonist of the other 3 games (Dante), Nero does not have a devil form (or so we think). He instead has a demonic arm imbued with amazing power, and can be used to grapple on to an enemy to get yourself closer to it, or to hit it away. Or, as is demonstrated in the video, brutally pummeling things. I must have this game >.<

So here is how it goes. I leave for orientation 30 mins late today, and think, "No big, I will be there for most of it" Now, I was leaving 30 mins late because I saw the bus zoom past me. I was slightly angered, seeing as how it was there 6 minutes early. Anyway, so as soon I get out of the house and lock the door, my ankle gives way, and I scrape my knee and rip holes into my absolutely new pants. I was now more angered, seeing as how I had 0 time to waste. Next part is the best though, by far. I see the bus about to wizz right past, but then, it slows to a stop, so I run up there as fast as I can. I was 10 feet from the door to the bus, when it sped off. All I could do was sit there and fume. I even saw the driver LOOK at me through his mirror. I really want to burn every public bus now. >< Hopefully the rest of my day turns out better.

I was just reading a journal of someone I watch (not really a friend or someone I know) and will kind of keep it confidential, due to the fact that it is personal to him and someone else and if you don't know about it already you shouldn't know it at all. Anyways, the guy's life is falling apart because his girlfriend left him. Saying that he has no family and all that shit. The relationship had been going on for 1 year+ so I guess there is a reason to be sad (for the record I have had 0 real girlfriends) Also, if your entire life is hinged on the love of another... get a life, get friends, get a hobby. People are in myriads and if one of them hates you and you crumble to pieces... Okay, on to something less trivial than human hatred and sadness...

Now, I want to speak to you tonight about human nature. I mean the mannerisms of humans, not where we came from (origin of ephermeral = trivial bullshit). Some people think that people today (operative word) cannot think for themselves. Look at history, the rabble (us, me included) has always followed the leader, the guy with the shiniest trinket. For example, Copernicus (astronomer) said that the reality of the matter was that earth rotated around the sun, not the sun around the earth. To that, the people said, and I quote from the holiest of scriptures... "Zoh mah gerd he's a heretic. NOOOOO!" And sure, you can say, well, all of Copernicus's theories were proven scientifically (very shiny trinket) and are right. But we followed him because we thought "Hey, maybe that one guy with the cool hair was right" (Copernicus had amazing hair) And we eventually proved him right. Now, for the other part of human nature, and a very cool spell in World of Warcraft... Corruption. Many people (I knew them in high school, blech...) Are always (not really) saying the government is corrupt, and that Bush is corrupt. Wooptie fuckin doo. Government in general is corrupt, not just ours. The bible says that because of knowledge, Adam and Eve were cast from Eden. Knowledge brings intelligence with it, and Intelligence has a creepy friend that looks too greasy and smells funny and has weird hair (should talk to Copernicus) named Corruption. Corruption is in our daily lives, we are just delgued by it so much we can't see it. Look at any advertisement and think about the head of that corporation. How many people has he screwed (figurative sense) and how many lives has that person ruined to get where he/she is (not speaking of all corporations, just many) No one with power is honest with it. People with power will always take advantage of the weaker and more stupid individuals to get them higher on the ladder. Always Always Always. I have not heard of anyone with power doing anything good and thinking "Wow, this person is an amazing individual" I would love to be proven wrong, I yearn for it, as I yearn for . Heh. Well, that's all. I am going to call peoples now and wish I was at my house instead of my dad's (nothing fun to do) PEACE!!!!!!!

Today is the day that a great tragedy befell the United States of America. A tragedy that brought out the best and worst of the human race. It showed an entire country, tens of millions of people, all acting as a single organism out of fury and hatred for the common criminals and all those like them who helped in the orchestration of the hijacking of 9/11. When it happened at first, I was utterly detached from it, I was glad that we didn't have to do classwork or homework. But then I grew aware that people were banding together, in the right ways and the wrong ways, I heard of racial profiling, again. I began to detest the criminals responsible for the tragedy, because it served no gain for those like them ethnically and relgiously. It put many people in danger and made them feel fear because of what some asshole extremist did. I did not see the best of the situation. Not then, I discovered it in silent reverie, or in the shower, as I have dicovered many different things pertaining to me or the events around the world. But enough of that. I can only say one thing in light of this day of remembrance of a tragedy that reshaped one of the most powerful nations in the world.

No man can change the events of the past. We can only remember our scars, pains and pleasures and wear them as badges of honor, always knowing that because we have endured the hardships of our pasts, we become stronger for our futures. You should never attack someone because they are like the person (or people) that hurt you. Move on and remember. Make our wounds our strength. Show them no weakness. We are MAN, and despite our deficiencies, we cannot be stopped by a tragedy. Thine Eyes Bleed- Pretty good, better (in my opinion) than Zeo was.
Mastodon- They did a song, I think it was caled "Circle of Sasquatch" or something like that. That song kicked so much ass, and the rest of the songs were amazing too.
Children of Bodom- They didn't play Hate Crew, but they were still absolutely amazing.
Lamb of God- They were absolutely insane. I actually new their songs (As wellas Bodom's) and... you just don't even know.

Slayer- These guys opened with an assload of crucifixes, which slowly turned upside down, and then the chaos began.

I didn't want to to keep on punching religion in its metaphorical face, though it does deserve it. Today, I am talking about, the war in Iraq. Here I go. Technically, it has turned from a war to a conflict, because their is no real large government that controls all actions of the insurgents that our troops are fighting. I believe that this war was botched from the beginning. True, Saddam did need to be taken out of power, but the entire region was full of turmoil in the first place. This has now turned from a war "Corrupt gov. vs. Corrupt gov." into a civil war "Sunnivs. Shi'ite" (I think that's how you spell it) This civil war is for the control of a country, though a desolate country itis. Didn't we learn our lesson when we stepped in Vietnam. We supported a corrup government against a communist one twice (China) and both times our government wasted our money and troops, and also showed us how 1950's we are (for understanding of reference, see last journal). Though many may argue that the Vietnam war wasn't just a civil war, that other countries were helping them (that was a fact). We didn't need to get involved. Sorry, off the subject, back to Iraq. We have been depriving our soldiers of one important thing, can you guess it? I will answer this question for you. The American government (representative of "us", kinda means "we".) has been depriving our soldiers of information. Many of our soldiers believe that they are over their because Saddam Hussein had ties to Al-Qaeda, which we now know isn't true, but they still think it is. Now the problem has reared its ugly head (more ugly than my friend's ex-girlfriend) back at the American government. A question isposed to them, sort of like this one. "The people have lost support to the war in Iraq, and though it is bad depriving our troops of information, if we allow them to access it, they will lose support for the war as well. What should we do? Note: The government has gone so far as to ban certain internet sites with the information we know, but our troops don't know from their internet connection. So, now, I know many of you might be asking "So Galen/David, you have brought up many facts, but what do you propose?" If I were president, I would respond to the question as such: Simple, we evacuate now, admit it is our bad, and watch the situation unfold. The way I see it, America is screwed either way in accordance with this matter. If we stay, our people will die, and we will be criticized on a world-wide scale. If we leave, we will be responsible for the utter destruction we caused and the vulnerability that the country is in, ushering in a (most likely) terrorist regime that we can attack and have real support by facts and other countries. As for me, I am going to take a flight to Norway and resign, I hear they have good cheese there.

Dear Die-ary,

It as become apparent to me that the American 1950's stereotypical view has destroyed ths country, and will continue to destroy it until it is absolved in entirety, especially in the case that affects many people worldwide, but more importantly to me, millions of people in the USA, the jackass country. However, this situation cannot be rectified unless the Jesus freaks and other religious groups can change their views on some things. For example, abortion. It kills fetuses, don’t get me wrong, but it saves them too. I had a bitch-person that got pregnant and would’ve died if she didn’t get an abortion. Her religion does not allow abortions. So, she made an important decision, the life of an entity that would make her life crumble around her, or her own. She made the only good decision. She had the abortion. However, for feelings I have towards her, I sometimes wish that she was completely brainwashed and stupid. Never mind that though, the important issue is that of a very touchy subject in the worldwide community. Homosexuality. I believe that my opinion is not skewed or spun any particular way, seeing as how I am agnostic and a moderate. Taking these factors into consideration, I believe that homosexuality as as right as any other bonding of the sexual nature. I shall quote my mother, who grew up in the fifties, for a little snippet of a conversation we had.

Mom: Blech.
Me: What’s with that?
Mom: The mere thought of it disgusts me, it is against nature.
Me: The nature of reproduction yes-
Mom: Damn right.
Me: But not nature itself. Nature allowed us to have preferences of every nature. Because a preference is different from the norm does not mean it is wrong.
Mom: It is the nature against most religions though-
Me: People who belong to a religion of most sorts are skewed towards a side in most issues, too bad they control the greater amount of our population. Makes me glad I am not a Christian.

As you can see, the unaccepting stereotypical view is still with us today. Unless we throw most, if not all of the western religions into oblivion, this specter of distrust and persecution will remain with us forever, creating many paradoxes in religion. I, as you can see, hate religion with a silent passion. (Most)Religion breeds three of the worst things I can think of.

1. Ignorance: When you start accepting everything as the creation of a higher power, though the answer is staring at you in the face, you’re stupid. Yeah, God may have indeed made atoms, but those atoms made water by themselves, God only indirectly made molecular compounds.

2. Fanaticism: Every single horrendous act of terrorism has been made in the name of God, or a version of it. I am certain that if religion was cast into oblivion at the dawn of the universe, 9/11 and many wars would not have happened.

3 Brainwashing: Almost 100% of the time, being in a religion tells you what to think. It tells you to base your life and the actions within around a derelict scripture, and the mindless bodies advocating it.

As far as I can tell, these 3 things are true with almost all western religions. You might be saying “Well, the terrorists of 9/11 were Islamic, not Christian, what has my religion done bad?”. This question can be answered in any text covering ancient history. I am speaking of the Crusades of course. The persecution, slaughter, and massacre of many pagans was absolutely unnecessary in every view, except for one, the mentally blind one. I am not saying that every person is mentally blind, that would make me a liar. The only religion that I come close to tolerating is one that many find annoying. The Jehovah’s Witnesses. Yes, to serve their religion means to attempt to recruit others, but because they believe only 144,000 people will go to heaven, and rule creation alongside God and Jesus (equality = good), while the rest get to live forever on paradise on Earth (party!) I have come to accept this as a near-harmless religion (can’t rule everything out). Also, what I have realized is that the word God means nothing to me anymore. It has been grotesquely distorted that it has lost all meaning. In fact, the concept of God itself is a paradox within itself. But, this is for another time. I thought about putting my opinions out into the public slowly, but where is the fun in which there is no resistance?

Haunt removes the creature from the came "haunting" target creature, and these cards usually have a "come into play" effect and the same effect for when the haunted creature is put into a graveyard from play.

The game is great, I give it a 8.5 out of 10. The plot is a little short, and after the game there isn't much to do, but while you are in the story, it is addicting to play. The combat system is amazing. While most of the game is in third person view, you can go into first person mode for limite amounts of time, due to the fact that everything is slower (matrix style) and you can rack up tons of kills in the game. While this is a western-style game, it would make any shootr fanatic tear with joy at the sight of this game. While playing the game, I found myself saying this phrase.
