The "game guide walkthrough" method of storytelling was dropped. There wasn't really forced Mega-Emo stuff going on. The only complaint I have is with Wily... since when did he calmly go "at least I die knowing bla bla stoic dramatic villain bla" upon defeat? Where is the frantic begging for mercy and/or forgiveness? Wily is the classic bully; twists the knife hard when he's in control, but a crying weasel once it's over. I really would want a lot more than a level editor based on MM2 and the ability to play as non-MM characters. I know some people creamed over the animated "opener" sequence, with questions as to how they could work with classic and X characters in the same thing, but... that's an anime opener. I'm getting very discouraged here.<br /><br />It's not the WORST thing it could have been... but in order to be worse it would have had to have gone to a not-family-friendly publisher that would try and make the silly, bright classic MegaMan all dark and gritty. So at least Archie is trying to keep the tone light, which I feel is VITAL to classic Mega.<br /><br />As it is, though, it's just BORING. It's basically like reading a supercondensed walkthrough: "Go to BombMan's stage. Get his Hyper Bomb. Go to GutsMan's stage. Beat him with the Hyper Bomb.         <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Lordy. Transformers Animated has hit across the nation, and I've grabbed up everything... except the currently-out versions of Optimus and Megatron. The briefly-seen Cybertron modes aren't quite doing it for me, and I want that Voyager Optimus that's not out yet.<br /><br />I've been detail-painting up the toys, as I also do a good amount of painting. Expect to see the results soonish, plus the repainted "Heroes of Cybertron" PVC figurines.<br /><br />And, of course, more art. ]]></media:text>

If anything, this should encourage me to do more finished art. The last few years, I've been largely sidetracked with writing projects...<br /><br />For several years, I wrote strategy guides for BradyGames. Predominantly for the MegaMan series, but a few other choice titles, such as the last two Kingdom Hearts books, The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer, and Transformers: The Game (fer the big movie).<br /><br />As that whole scene has slowed down, I've been recruited by Fun Publications for the Official Transformers Collectors' Club, primarily as a writer (Ne ]]></media:text>
