In case you've never seen me mention it before, I am a Dietary Aide at a hospital.

Our Dietary Director is a fucking idiot. Since the kitchen has a reputation as being a hell hole we have a hard time hiring new employees. This time we only got one applicant, who happened to be an older volunteer at the hospital. I was a little kid again and my mom took me to an amusement park that was super epic. There was a really cool bird show there, but I ended up getting mad at my mother because she got in the way of what would've been an amazing photo so I decided to go off on my own. I got in at 8PM and the vet saw me at 8:30. What was wrong? A bellyache. An extreme one. The vet said his stomach was as hard as a rock and Scuzzy screamed while he was examining it. They made him walk around, pressed on his tummy, and helped him pass a bit of waste to get things going. Finally he quite audibly passed gassed and started to calm down. He even looks way thinner.

As for me, the show Reboot finally came out on DVD just days before I got my guinea pig. Awhile back an auction popped up for a long sold out vinyl figure of the popular Shin Megami Tensei character Jack Frost. I had talked with the seller about a price, it seemed like I would be getting him, but then suddenly the auction was ended and I was left very confused.

Lately work has been absolutely terrible. I'd worked twelve out of fourteen days the last pay period, ended up working six days in a row, and they were all mostly late shifts. I even had a double in there the one day I had an early. The money is going to be nice but it doesn't really compensate for the mental and physical toll it's taken on me. The one thing that makes it all better, though, is when I come home and hear excited squeaks the moment I say "I'm home, Scuzzy!" after I walk through that door.

Duluth had a lot of construction going on so it was a little scary to navigate through that town. I went on two train rides, visited an aquarium and a zoo, and also took a boat ride. None of them were too fancy but I enjoyed myself. I got to touch a gorgeous stingray and the zoo had a bat exhibit I spent a ton of time at. I just love bats and I'll never understand what people find so creepy about them. They're fascinating to watch and always so active!

I'm really worried. It's been four days now and my friends' cat Flow hasn't been seen so I'm fearing the worst. They were trying to keep her as an indoor cat but she kept slipping out. I guess she got a taste for the outdoors since she was born a farm cat and it didn't help there were seven other cats plus a pug in the house. Flow is quite the diva so she hates most living things. She has a collar on, so I'm really hoping she'll turn up at the local animal shelter and my friends will get a call about her.
