Stupid job search and artistic block! If you're wondering about my last journal, I didn't get a job at the video game company, I felt very depressed because I didn't have enough experience and my 3D work wasn't up to par with their expectations. I was bummed out for awhile but now I've picked myself back up and searching again.

This time I was able to harvest some fruit of my labours! I got a job interview today at a hotel to work at the front desk (instead of the housekeeping job I had a couple of months ago. Bleh!) and I'm also in for testing to work for the government in the Census department which means good pay!

But even if I don't get the government job I would like working at the hotels I've applied too, they look really nice and with the Xmas decorations up, it gives me a happy feeling (not to mention my pockets would be filled up! n_n )

From this time last year, Christmas was really depressing because I had a hard time to find a job as an animator... but now I'm just saying "Fuck this." and getting some savings built up for when I move to Ontario with my boyfriend and plan to go back to school at Sheridan College, which has the best animation programs around (compared to the shitty one, they tried to put here!)

So for this Xmas, I say that I am pulling myself back up, stop letting myself be dragged down, grow a backbone and go to accomplish my goals so that I can be and do what I want rather then let my insecurities prevent me from doing so.

Why oh why didn't this come by sooner?!! XO I could have prevented a lot of headaches! XD

As for art, I'll be posting stuff up, including some concept stuff for my comic projects and some animation experiments. In the meantime, I gotta get ready for my job interview and hope things go well!

I give thanks to anyone online or in real life who's given me comfort, inspiration and even those who gave me a needed kick in the ass!

To give an update on what's happenin'. After nearly a year unemployed, I got an interview for a position at an independant video game company that's been recruiting throughout Atlantic Canada!!

My interview is gonna be on Monday so I'm working quickly as I can to get my portfolio done on DVD and get my nice clothes ready. I'm excited and yet quite nervous 'cause I may be against some people who have been in the industry for while. But they must have seen something promising in my fancy Flash resume!

So for the most part I'm gonna busy this weekend getting everything set up but I'll have more artwork I made up for viewing!

And speaking of artwork, my little sister has joined DeviantArt. She has some very nice, traditionally drawn anime art for viewing. So please take a look and give her a warm DA welcome! :3

But neverless I'm not doing too bad. Been working on some art and will be working on a submission for some animation festivals (whoa.. busy busy busy! )

Ehehehe.. please don't mind that nasty rant in my last entry. I was quite pissed off at all the threads complaining about nudity so I had to let off some steam.

On the good side, I had in interview today for a part-time graphic design job at a screenprinting & embroidery shop. So far it turned out really good. Now I have to hand in a design concept challenged by the employer, a simple t-shirt design for Prince Edward Island, no big deal but be creative enough to get me the job! X_x

So far I've got a good idea and I'll be tinkering around with it. Afterwards I can finally submit some art. Sorry for the delay.

What the fuckin' hell is the matter with Deviants today? All throughout the damn week or so a new topic comes on about the Nude Daily Deviations and the SG/TruLove advertisements, whining about "Oh but it will be harmful to minors/It offends me/etc..

BULLSHIT!

If you don't like the ads or don't want your children to see them well what about doing the novel idea of IGNORING THEM!

If it still bothers you, 1)Get a subscription, or if you can't afford one 2)Get a Ad/Spyware remover software like Secretmaker [link]

I don't know why the fuck people are getting so pissy about it. For those who comes down to the "Children" arguement.. well whoppee dee doo, anybody under 13 is not allowed to register without a permisson from their parents. Now I've only counted a few kids and usually they're mature for their age or their parents are observing their children's activity LIKE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO DO!

Deviantart is not your fuckin' babysitter. I am sick and tired of hearing people bitch and moan because they cannot handle a tit... god forbid if it was a MALE nude deviation or else people would be having a fit because of a penis.

And there was one deviant who wanted to have a paying system for the nude and fetish sections. Yeah like that'll work, then less people will see the works that artists have put much thought into because somebody can't handle the fact that it's there and anyone could see it. I went there, I don't see anything that is out of bounds. If so, then I would report it. Easy right?

Ugh. I could go on and on about this. But I'll leave with a last point. The demand for censorship on DA disgust me, not only for the censorship itself but that they assume anyone who goes into those sections are perverts. If that's the case: SCREW YOU!

Well it's official, at 4:13 pm today, I am 20 years old... damn I really don't feel that old XD. I feel like I'm seventeen rather than twenty.

At least I know how my dad feels like (turns the radio to the song "18 Till I DIE!!")

As for the day it's not gonna be anything big, just hang with some friends playing pool (or billiards to you UK folk... I think?) and probably grabbing something to eat afterwards. Then on Saturday, my boyfriend got us tickets for Revenge of the Sith. Now, I'm no Star Wars Fangirl, I'm mostly going to it to see Anakin's whiny ass fall into a volcano and then the appearance of everybody's fav. supervillian, Darth VADER!!

Anyway, I gotta go get my Provincial ID (basically a license for those folks who can't drive) and work on some other stuff til the evening.

What's new with you? Nothing much with me, enjoying my last day of the subscription. One of these days I gotta buy myself one! It's much fun!

As for life stuff, same ol' looking for work... why did I have to take a career which is so hard to start out? Oh well. I'll get through it somehow. In the meantime, I'm getting some personal projects done like my animation, work on me website, graphics & artwork and hopefully I can make some time to get a short film on the go sometime next summer... Whew! I'm a busy bunny! :3

And not to mention next weekend it's my birthday! *dances* I'm turning 20... on the 20th of May. W00t! Break out the champagne!

Well my week has been so-so, but something interested has happened. As I mentioned in my last journal I don't have a paying job, but I'm working at a graphic design studio for the experience.

Anyway yesterday I have been given a commission to make a website for a business here on PEI, a PAYING project. So obviously I said yes and today the guy came by and gave me some info on what kind of site he wants, the colors, logo etc.. and since it was a one webpage deal it won't take me a long time to make, although he says that if he's going to expand his webpage that maybe he'll have me again for commissioning. I can't say that for sure but I'm happy with the job that I'm gonna be doing for the weekend.

And even if I cannot get a full time job right now... there's always freelancing stuff to do!

Hey glad to be back from the gutter, I'm finally out of that Artist's block and as you can tell I've been updating more on my art. So be prepared for flooding to come to your inbox!

As for real life stuff well nothing much been happening, finished my temp job and now I have a work term in a Graphic design firm. Graphic design is not exactly my number one job choice but any sort of experience in media is good. Working on a few pictures and some animation works in my spare time so at least I can keep myself busy whenever there are no orders to be done.

As for my website, it's still in the works but I have decided the opening date to be sometime in June 2005 (sadly it was supposed to be open in January but a virus came and infected my files ) Right now I am a little bit more concentrated on getting the lovely contents of the website done (drawing, website temps, animations etc...) but hopefully everything will turn out as I plan.

Anyway I gotta get some graphic projects done, so I'll be leaving you. Toodles!

As for the last entry, I've got a job on the line, provided it's two times a week but it's better than being unemployed with a big student loan debt. ^_^;; I went to another job interview on monday for a full-time job and I'm awaiting to hear their call, so wish me luck!

Other than that I'm feeling pretty good, gonna go tubing with my friends Gonna see my boyfriend on Saturday and then have Dungeons & Dragons on Sunday... whoo I've got a busy weekend! XD

I feel yucky. XP

It's bad enough I got a canker sore in my mouth (which hurts if I eat something) I also have cramps... yes the time of the month cramps. Since I'm on the pill though it doesn't really hurt as much as before... but it's still annoying and you still feel yucky.

Sorry if that was a little too much information for the guys who may be reading this. I'm just feeling a little grouchy and need to vent. XO Luckily for me I don't get PMS... even if I did it must be very sudtle cause I don't bite people's head off. I only bite them off for a REASON! XD

On the good news, I am getting more work done on new website, porfolio as well as job search. Every little bit done at a time.

I was also doing quite a lot of thinking in bed last night (usually I think the most when trying to sleep... not exactly good if you're trying to sleep but neverless XD) Pinkfairylotus's past journal entry came to mind as she mentioned as not being able to have an opinion cause she's open to both sides - like belief and science.

Well the question came to me, why must there be a definite line? I believe any sort of religious and mythological stuff must have been based on some truth but due to human documentation and error they are changed to something that's kinda way out there. Like Sailors who claimed to have seen mermaids in the past, were really seeing dolphins but since they were quite far off (or the sailors had too much to drink ) they though they were seeing something else.

I believe that most mythological and religious beings must have been based on SOME truth then through oral storytelling and then written documents they story has been changed. Like for those people who think that the Adam and Eve theory is a bunch of crap, don't take things too lightly. There was some studies on tracing back the human lineage through mitrochondrial DNA, this DNA is separate from the rest of the cell and is donated from the mother at conception, through this study they found that the lineage goes all the way back to a woman in Africa who lived millions of years ago. They dub this the "Mitochondria Eve" theory.

What does this mean? I believe that the "Adam and Eve" were the first humans from DNA but they were NOT THE FIRST individuals of a species, sensing that there were others as well... cause it wouldn't make sense to make millions of people from two, no matter what the churches tell me!

Before I go off on a tangent here, while I do think that biblical stories have been based on some truth, I DO NOT TAKE THE BIBLE AS PURE FACT! And this is because it was written by humans and things could have been changed to suit them... kinda like how Hollywood makes a movie based on a book and changes things around to suit them, ya know? 'Jesus born to a virgin woman'... well in their time the word "virgin" had a completely different definition, Virgin meant a "Virtuous Woman" not because she's pure of sexual sin (Oh god how I hate sexuality portrayed as a sin )

But then again I can go on for HOURS about sciences and belief. So I'll just leave with a little note: Don't take everything lightly... but than again don't get too heavily into it either, belief and science don't really have such a thick line between them. Belief has some explanation, and science does have phenomenon in which it cannot explain. Hopefully though I do get some replies. In the meantime I'll be working on some more stuff for my website and my portfolio!

Yeah well I'm comfortable with my own sexuality but I don't go about wearing a hankerchief and wedgie shorts (Yes I'm looking at YOU Mariah Carrey) and usually when I think of some celebrity getting fame for wearing a teeny tiny dress... usually I see them as NOT comfortable with themselves and feel a need to show their bodies off in order to have acceptance. I see a lot of that with female celebrities.. and now a lot more with males

And before people says "Well you're just jealous that you don't look like them." For one... I don't look like them and I don't really want to, I like the way I am.

And two my only problem with this is that if the sexy image is overshadowing their talents (or in some cases lack of *cough*britney*cough*) if they have talent to back UP their image then I can let that go cause I can concentrate more on the person rather than get distrated/turned off by the sexy clothing... I'm sure a lot of people are getting tired of non-existant skirts, see-through shirts and the like. :S

I guess my question is what really defines "sexy"? While I don't have any problems whatsoever with nudity, there is such a thing as too much when it's not needed.

Bweeeee! Halloween is coming in five days, it usually get me all giddy and such just like when I was a kid... even though I don't trick or treat anymore I love having to dress up in costumes! Last year I dressed up as Sephiroth from FFVII at the college (I probably had people do a double take when I passed by) with the costume, silver hair and even the Masamune sword made from a hockey stick! XD

This year though is not as creative, I'm going with my boyfriend to my friend's Halloween Party and I'm gonna be dressed up as a sexy cop (cop hat, blue shirt, leather gloves, black mini-skirt, knee-high boots, bondage collar, baton and handcuffs) and my boyfriend is gonna be the unlucky(?) criminal that is in mah possession! Mwahahaha!

...Pfft! He'd enjoy being handcuffed anyways! XD

In other news. I'll be finishing my Work Term this week, then I'll be having my graduation this friday. Afterwards I'll be going about trying to find a paying job so then I can get rid of the 15 grand loan! 0.0;;

*rubs sore head* Luckily I had my hat on.. but anyways, just writing to let y'all know about my website being rebuilt (again I can't seem to make up my mind when it comes to layouts! -_-*) I'm getting stuff all set up and I'll be having my site up soon... again. ^_^;;

In the meantime I'm trying to sign up for a paypal account for commissions but for some reason they say to me:

* Home Telephone: The phone number is not properly formatted.
* Password - please re-enter your password

When I had already typed in a password more than eight characters and I typed in my phone number.. WHY THE HELL WON'T IT WORK?!!! GAH!!

So for those who have a paypal account, how did you typed in your phone number? I've tried in many ways but they won't accept it. If this doesn't work... I'm gonna pull my hair out!! *RIIIP* ..Oooowie ;_;

Nothing much happenin' with me, just taking a break and look around in ze internet. I found an article in which they were talking about Shania Twain having her own Bioflim (Oh yay! XP)

But what caught my eye was the actress playing Shania was named Meredith Henderson.. the actress who played in the kids show Shirley Holmes! Aaaah... I remember watching that show as well as Eerie Indiana, Incredible Story Studio and cartoons like Rocko's Modern Life, Stickin' Around, Beast Wars, Reboot and all other stuff from my childhood and teenagerdom.

Which makes me disappointed to see so much crap on TV! XP A lot of good shows are gone and now were here with a lot of shows with either stupid gross-out humor, reality shows or those with whiny teenager angst which I cannot STAND!! (You can tell that I was never a fan of Degrassi High and any other of its incarnations XO)

Bah oh well.. I knew that since I'm an adult now I'll be bickering about the good ol days sooner or later. XD But at least this fall there are some decent stuff coming on Teletoon/YTV so I'll have more shows to watch without having my brain cells deteriorated from teh stupidity.

Any shows you guys hate nowadays? If so, BITCH HERE!! XD

Oi! It gets cramped in there! X_x *shakes head then yawns*

Good morning fellow Deviants, nothing much hanging with me, ending my third week on my On the Job Training. Luckily for me I get some fairly good free time in between the classes coming into the computer lab so I can get working on some nice stuff!

So far I've got another character picture from "Mikado the Ninja Mouse" - A comic series I hope I can get published- and I've got plans to make some more pics of the characters. Again I hope to find a good publisher to make these comics someday but obviously it would take a lot of money to do that... which I don't have right now! XP

Let's see... I've got a couple of plans to make some Flash Cartoons, one of them is in the works right now and I'm getting some schtuff done on the other one... may not be up though for awhile

Ah yes and many many pictures I gotta draw and color. Dad's stressing me to add more to my portfolio... kinda irritating but everything will come in good time if I'm not shoved too hard!

Oh yes and congratulations to for recieving 1000 stabs...er I mean hits! *looks at the blood on the floor* I'm not cleaning that up!

Fun time for me, hehehe. gota work on some more pics and today I'll be going to my boyfriend's house for a Dungeons and Dragons session.

In the campaign I am a Swashbuckler Princess (ARR!) off to explore the land with my three bodyguards, a human cleric, a human warrior and an Orc barbarian... all males.... this oughta be fun! Not to mention that today is Talk Like A Pirate day! Which is quite convenient!

Saw the Resident Evil movie for my friend's twentieth birthday. It was a pretty good action movie, but it would be considered tame to the hardcore gore movie lovers, but it was still good anyways. I jumped a lot throughout the entire thing, usually with my hand defending my neck!

My boyfriend and my friend were tempted to spook me during the suspenseful parts. I'm glad they didn't or else I would leapt off my seat! ...Or bash them in the head, whatever comes first. XD

Afterward we went to Pizza Delight (in the building which used to be a jailhouse.) and had some yummy pizza and garlic fingers. Then Marcus drove me home and I went to bed....

Then having my sister yell at me at five in the morning because I was snoring too loud.

Oiiiiiii... I can't wait for the weekend!

*Yawn* Just woke up, it's 8:36 am here and I was kinda bored and couldn't get to sleep.. so here I am!

Oh well, things are pretty much gonna get a bit better, I'm gonna go for some extra work at school, finish up my portfolio and then hopefully I'll be working at my work term.

It probably won't be at an animation studio liked I wanted... but Graphic design is just as good. I'm just pissed off that the best animation job to get is either at Montreal, Halifax, Toronto and Vancouver. It wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that I want to stay on Prince Edward Island until my boyfriend graduates from University and then we'd go off to Ontario for his Doctorate. So I'm here waiting for a good opportunity to pop up.... any time now....
