I'm working at SunSplash, the local water park, this summer. I love it! I get to talk to people and put wristbands on them! It's always hot, though, so I'm constantly miserable. But I like it. Does that make me a masochist?

Also, it rained last night. Like CRAZY. Do you realize how monumental this is? We got an inch and a half of rain within two hours. In Arizona! I'm super excited to go to work today!

There's a peacock in my neighborhood. It's so cool! I haven't seen it, but I hear it all the time, and I feel like I'm at the Phoenix Zoo or something. It's migrated into my neighbor's yard I think, so I'm hoping I'll see it soon!

I haven't been posting much (read: anything), so I'm sorry about that! I've been crocheting amigurumis and making stupid sock creatures, so I'll take pictures of them and upload them soon.

I've been in love with art and music lately.
And I'm doing an art trade with my favorite artist, *kkamagi. I'm so happy.

We got SUPERIORS, the highest score, from all three judges!!

On the trip up, we were without half of the orchestra because they were at the chorus concert. I played Pokemon pearl, listened to Beth's iPod, and played waht if with Beth and Sarah. When we were playing we got a question that said "What if Nemo never got found?"
and the answer that ended up going with it was "Nobody would care."
I was SO sad when I read that. ALSO, we tried to watch the emperor's new groove, but these stupid people at the back of the bus were blasting their iPod speakers so we couldn't hear any of the dialogue, WHICH IS THE BEST PART OF THE MOVIE.

The hotel we went to was really cool. There were inspiring messages on the inside of the elevators. But we got a SUITE. It was so cool.

Then we picked up the chorus people and went BOWLING! Apparently I suck at bowling even more than I thought I would. It was still fun though, and I did a lot better once I got a heavier ball. Whitney and Cherish and I all played this shooting game where you had to kill the terrorists. I sucked at that too. But I was actually O.K. at air hockey, so that made me feel better about myself. IT WAS FUN.

I forgot to mention that my mom was chaperone-ing. She had a great time too. It was grand.

Then we went to the mall. Whitney and I were gonna go to Victoria's secret and were gonna put thongs on over our pants and lingerie and double D cups on our head like hats and whatnot and take pictures of it, but Mrs. Williams told us not to get kicked out at the mall, so we decided not to. THE FLAGSTAFF MALL HAD NO BOOK OR MUSIC OR MOVIE STORES. That killed my time there. But I got the first and third (they didn't have the second) Lord of the Rings movies, and an awesome poster of Jack, Will, and Elizabeth from the upcoming Pirates movie. They're all surrounded in mist and it's awesome. Beth bought this really, really cute green dress for the ninth grade dance. I'm not even kidding, it was ADORABLE. And then we went back to the hotel.

We had planned that Beth's room (Sam, Olivia, Markie, Kendra, Beth and someone else whom I can't think of right now) and my room (Paige, Paige, Lauren, Whitney, Shannon and me) were gonna get together and watch Mean Girls, but that didn't work out. Paige and Sam got into boy drama, and we couldn't find Sam and spent the longest time looking for her (and then she ended up being in the CLOSET!!! We had been so worried, and we had asked her mom about it, so then she was all worried too... IT JUST MADE ME MAD.). So Whitney and I got tired of all the drama, which calmed down before we left but kicked up again later, and just went back to the room. Augh, girl drama is so horrible! But then we watched What Not To Wear and critiqued it and stuff so it was all good.

The next morning was PANDEMONIUM! The doorknob fell on my foot and ruined my stocking things and I had to go to my mom's room to get a bandaid and new stockings, and poor Kendra got altitude sickness, so she couldn't play with us... It was so sad.

We played and it was awesome. The auditorium had the best acoustics I've ever played with. It echoed and sounded so amazing! The judge who critiqued us was hilarious. I can't even fully explain his hilariousity. He had this russian or polish or something weird accent, and he did all these huge motions to explain what he was talking about. On one song, he asked us to say "Taka-ta taka-ta taka tak tak tak" and stuff. I don't even remember why. And then he was talking about continuing the song without letting the rests break up the sound and he said "Today it is snowing.... in Flagstaff... when it is May 5th... and we should really.... be eating mexican food." And he kinda danced around the stage when he was saying it. ANYWAY, he was hilarious.

The ride home was great too. I'll stop there, 'cause I'm guessing that no one has the time to read this entire thing anyway. Sorry it's so long! To sum it up, we did a great job and had loads of fun with a little drama thrown in.
