This account is dead, I'm not planning on using it anymore really. I moved in October, actually. This account has had many cherished memories on it but it's given me a reputation as a "Sonic Artist" and I want it off my back. A new boat set sail more than a year ago. The reason I'm getting involved in this even though I've been out of it a long time is because I am not for EITHER and I refuse to be labeled.

Now I go to see what's up and what do I see? Fighting over character shipping? Uhhm, okay. Sure. This is where I begin. Both of you leaders of these "True" and "Anti" groups are extremely confusing to me. Character shipping does NOT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN perverse artwork and stuff. You shouldn't judge people like that. I mean sure, it isn't very original in creativity to ship your character with another.. but hey, it's what the point of a fandom is. Fanfiction and the occasional couple. But does it automatically mean sex? No.

So I honestly don't think it's very fair to go up to an artist (namely a talented one) and slap them with that nasty, double-sided-tape anti-fan label. It's just not cool. Especially if that person doesn't even draw porn. HOWEVER, there are of course people who draw pervertic stuff. However, don't take it so personally, EVERY fandom has it's adult half. I myself, being a former fan of the Sonic community learned this the hard way when I was younger. You had best learn to ignore it, though. No matter WHAT you do, it will be there. Just mind your own business and it won't have anything to do with you. It's not like it's being publicly broadcasted on television.

Just seeing you true and anti fan leaders go at it constantly drives me crazy. It's irrational, running up to eachother and calling eachother names. "LOL PERVERT!" ... "LOL MEANIE!" ... "STOP DRAWING PR0N! ROFLZZ."... "OMFG GROW UP. LOL. *SLAP*" (N00bish speak intended.) Truth to be told, it looks like a bunch of little children going around eachother calling names. You know what I say? Grow up and face it! BOTH sides. Not one or the other.

The basis of a fandom, ANY fandom, is this:
-General Fans.
-Fan Artists.
-Fan-Fictioners
-Fan Comic writers/artists
-Collectors
-Adult-content artists.

It's something you can't remove. It can be something you censor to your young ones, or yourself if you have a problem with it. But no matter what, NONE of these aspects of a fandom can be removed. They are what they are and if you can't face it, leave the fandom. It's as simple as that. Don't fight over it, you're only stressing yourselves. I personally am not fond of Adult Danny Phantom artwork. It's just as bad as seeing Dennis the Menace adult artwork.. or any of the sort. But if some people, young as they want to be desire to live out this fantasy, ignore them! Don't let them on your site but don't stalk them and say "LOL CHILD MOLSETER" 'Cause half of them will end up to be 12 or 13 year olds with nothing better to do.

If you want any more on my opinion on this, note me or comment. Just let me remind you that I am not a True or Anti fan. However, I do like Danny Phantom and can't deny it either. I've seen many fandom communities with issues. The Sonic community I was once from was pretty bad with it's Popular and "Inferior" artists. However, I have never seen arguments about CHARACTER SHIPPING THIS BAD. It's their fiction, get over it! If you don't like it, don't read it. You can't stop an artist or writer from doing what they want and that's a well-known fact. Don't respond with "WELL WE MAY AS WELL TRY" either, it is immature and will not stop them. Also, it will only make you look like a jerk who's trying to get in the way of someone's thought. CAN'T YOU ALL JUST GET ALONG AS FANS? As some of you say. A FAN IS A FAN IS A FAN. I like that. (I just don't know why it's said a third time...)

Alright, folks. Math question for yah. What is Fairly Odd Parents + Tiny Toons Adventures + Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi + Xiaolin Showdown + Jackie Chan Adventures + The Powerpuff Girls + Captain Underpants + TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES.

Can you spell a show about wanna-be martial artist bunnies that look like Babs and Buster and use Cosmo and Wanda as their fitness idols? Oooh yeah. That's just their appearance. Bob Boyle, the director, is also a self-proclaimed ex-animator for Butch Hartman. Dude, even if you are one of his ex-animators, doesn't give you any rights to rip off his art style. Along with a bunch of things you DIDN'T work on.

You're wondering, how in God's name are they similar to Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi? Well, look, the plot may not be the same at all. The lack of effort put into their animation is, sort of. (Even though Puffy Ami Yumi even looks good compared to that.) It's more the characters that are similar. Lets see, two main protagonists who are so unnaturally short that they make real bunnies look enormous. Did I also mention a short, bristle-faced Asian guy with a large, swollen chin?

The show rips off Xiaolin Showdown WAY more than it does Jackie Chan. (Jackie Chan was a REALLY cool show, mind you. I'll always prefer that show to Xiaolin Showdown any day!) It's probably the martial arts. Xiaolin Showdown is a show with the main character a short person who does martial arts. It also has it's very cute humor in it. In my opinion, Mr. Boyle here is trying to go for a show like that. It's just the thing is, Xiaolin Showdown was a LOT better of a show than Yin Yang Yo! is.

This drags into the humor part of it. Wedgie jokes? Uh-huh, it's been done before. They're okay. In fact, I find them rather funny. But where else in our childhood have we heard Wedgie Jokes? TRA LA LAAAAA!!! Capitan Underpants! It rips off Captain Underpants. I mean, if the show had only one or two wedgie jokes, it'd be okay. But if they're recurring... only Capitan Underpants was seriously known for it's recurring wedgie jokes.

The Powerpuff Girls? You wanna know what drew me to that conclusion? There are three characters in Yin Yang Yo! They're called the Chung Pow kitties. (Okay, that's also ripping off something a friend of mine did a long time ago.) Going further, yeah they're cats. Does that mean you can get away with it ripping off the Powerpuff girls? Three floating female characters that beat the hell outta' people and represented by three colors: Green, Pink, and Blue. I mean, doesn't Bob Boyle know how OBVIOUSLY he's copying this show?

We all also know the obvious part that he's copying the Fairly Oddparents for the art style used in the show and the character designs of Yin and Yang. It also rips off two other of Hartmans' characters. Okay first look at Dave, a talking piece of wood (WHAT. THE. HELL.) when you look at him, doesn't he look like Tucker Foley (Danny Phantom. Butch Hartman.) without glasses? Who also ENJOYS going to school? Yeah. And Coop (a chicken named Coop.. how creaaative..), maybe this is only a little, but he looks like a cross between Poindexter (DP. Hartman.), Tucker (Ditto.), and Chester (Fairly Oddparents.)

Ninja Turtles. Okay not only do they make a parody of that show in one episode, but they also steal the concept. Weird looking animals raised by an old guy (of a random species) and fought a recurring enemy. Although, mind you, Ninja Turtles is an AWESOME cartoon. Splinter can kick Yo's ass any day of the week even with his eyes closed.

Here's also two other criticisms I have. Not for ripping off but just for criticizing. If you really want to make a show about martial arts, don't put a recurring WEDGIE joke in it. I get that this show is for children who's minds are so far regressed and brainwashed, but could you at least put some humor that doesn't make martial arts look so bad? I mean, seriously "LOL I GIVE WEDGIES TO COCKROACHES WITH NO ANTENNAE." not funny. Even as a little kid I wouldn't find it funny. The name is too stupidly generic too.

I know cartoons are regressing these days with their all-3D or all-Flash work, but seriously, this is the lowest of the low. Don't copy, it's not good for your health.

I SAW THE TRAILER

Okay, I love the producers of Underworld. The Underworld series were a couple of the best movies I'd ever seen. But after seeing the trailer for Blood and Chocolate... that just.. it took the book and MURDERED IT. WITH EVERY OBJECT POSSIBLE. Then gave it the execution.

The story is COMPLETELY incorrectly portrayed. I mean some things are accurate but.. most of it is... unacceptable, especially from Underworld Producers.

Okay, since WHEN does Aiden like Vivian and when does he try to help her escape from her pack? Since WHEN does Gabriel look so thin? Since when do the settings look COMPLETE big city? I know they came from West Virginia, but into a SUBURB. NOT NEW YORK CITY WITH A FANCY ROOM.

Gabriel never has a heart to heart while alone with Aiden. They didn't really show Vivian's contact with the tyrannical queen bitch in the film version either.

Another criticism, the werewolves look more like quadrupedal wolves rather than wolves with human body appendage. (Not wolf-men either, that's another bad extreme.) Taking the term 'werewolf' too literally. Werewolves look like a literal half and half cross of a wolf and a human. Not more like either. These seem more like shapeshifters that turn into wolves specifically.

The appearances of the setting and characters weren't accurate either.

I see they intentionally made the characters adults so it wouldn't seem like a cheesy teen flick. Seems like they're trying to hide the fact that it's based off a book. How sad. Especially coming from Screen Gems/Underworld makers.

However, the graphics are nice. Music's alright, Within Temptation, though unoriginal. They're okay. Although they rip off Evanescence majorly.

You think Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was innacurate?

I'm still gonna go see it though.

My comment count has reduced since Swift phased out of Sonic Fandom Designs. Is it because ALL you guys want is Sonic Art? And if it's Sonic art you WANT the official characters in there? If that's it, it's rather pathetic.

Warning: The following is a rant, if you cannot stand the exercise of Freedom of Speech, go to hell and don't read this.

I hate to sound like one of those "former" Sonic artists who rants all the time. It's because I'm not. I still draw Sonic, but rarely. Reason being is because I have my own things to do. If I feel like doin' fan art, I will.

You know I actually PUT EFFORT into the pictures that I draw. And lemme guess, if I posted a picture of Sonic I did in five minutes, I'd get like... twenty comments on it. Of course, not after posting this journal, though. But generally speaking. You guys would rather see a random doodle with no effort put into it and likely of some random FANCAHRACTER (and at that not an original one), than a LONG, BACKBREAKING WORKED ON CG image that took weeks to do, with an ORIGINAL character in it. It's rather insulting on my behalf.

I'm not asking for more comments. So don't go whining to everyone that "OHH, Swift wants attention, Swift wants to be popular." And all that crap. I'm not saying that AT ALL. I'm just stating what I observe. This is why I hate the Sonic Community, you guys don't care about effort. YOU JUST WANT YOUR CELL SHADED HEDGEHOG-LOOKING DOG CHARACTER IN A THONG WITH GREEN HAIR THAT LOOKS LIKE SONIC WITH A BUZZCUT NOW NOW NOW. LOLZ. Either that or your "OMFG ANIMAY LOVEFOXES! OMG SO CUTE. OMG UR AMERICAN STYLE STUF LUKZ LIK CRAP. OMG SO SIMPLE AN BORIN LOL.", it's either Sonic or anime. Or CRAPPILY DONE hentai.

You may go complain that I'm annoyed with you. Sure go ahead. See if I care.

And no, I'm not insulting fancharacters completely either. At least not ALL of them. I know plenty of people with ORIGINAL fanworks. And I'm proud of them. You know who you are. (REEANUH.) And there is some anime stuff that I really like too. But if you want cheap stuff posted frequently, forget it.

I'm trying to get through this without losing my temper, so if I sound like a bitch to you already. Too bad.

Again I'm not ASKING for you to comment and love me. I could care less, all I'm saying is the observations behind it annoy me to death.

Okay, I am SO sick and tired of people ranting about how Archie's new version of Evil Sonic, Scourge, is a recolor of Sonic. You know what? It's a LOT better than some of the FAN CHARACTERS YOU RETARDS COME UP WITH! 90% of all fan characters, are recolors. So why are you ranting at an OFFICIAL story and telling them they can't recolor? What gives you more right than them? And don't go on and on barking that Archie isn't official. Yes they are, they had permission from Sonic Team to make comics off them.

At least now we can distinguish these two characters. It's better than just Sonic in a jacket right? And I have plenty of ground to say this, my character isn't a fan character and her new design is way different now. My characters are not associated with Sonic Fandom, period.

Now what I REALLY don't understand is why some of you people don't rant about FIONA. You know what? She's a recolor too! Tails, turned red and pale orange, in a tight outfit and with long hair. If it means so much to you, how come you only rant when it's a HEDGEHOG? Then again, maybe I should scratch that, you don't rant about Shadow, his spines are only just a little different, and I forgot, you guys love mysterious emos. (Now I like Shadow too, but I'm just saying how most people are.)

Look, I love Shadow, Fiona and Scourge as far as characters go and I know there was a lot of heart put into designing them. However, I'm just wondering why you alll only rant at Scourge and don't rant about yourselves doing the whole recolor thing.

Now I don't mind ANY of these characters, nor do I care whether they're recolors or not. Also, I'm They're official, so the artist can do whatever the heck he/she wants.

Now I advocate characters that look similar to Sonic characters, but their personalities, outfits, and stories are way original. I'm friends with those people, you guys know who you are. There are one or two people with fan - based characters I advocate too, but their characters are original in their own sense too.

It is the way it is. If you don't like the new characters, don't read the comic. Whining won't help you.
