Well, as you can see, I haven't been on here much at all and have little to no activity. I think it's going to stay that way. I really appreciate those who I've become friends with on here and those who just stop by a visit. It's nice that my art gets attention around here But, I honestly am sick and tired of where DeviantArt has gone and no longer wish to be a part of it. I'm sorry to bitch, but I'm definitely sick of it here. I noticed that others feel this way once a while but then will go back into DA because hell yeah, it's addicting. But I'm not going to do that. There's millions and millions of accounts on here of people that just sit here and favorite other people's work, copy other people's work, or try to get other people's numbers. What the fuck happened to DA? It didn't used to be this way. It's too overcrowded and spammed. I miss it back in the day when every person on here had something to show, and it didn't have to look AMAZING to get attention. It was worth getting online every minute you could Everything got the attention it deserved and wasn't overshadowed by someones squiggly that they drew while taking a shit. Again, sorry to bitch, but this is my perception on how it's going.

Arg anyway, my point is that I love all of you and you all are AMAZING people! I just don't want to be a part of it anymore. I'm going to set up a livejournal or flickr account and move my art onto it. I will let you know when I do so you can keep tabs if you want, because I will definitely be adding the new ones I've done. Besides that, I'm going to miss everyone very very much. I hope all is well with everyone.

But the reason why I'm doing a rant is because it's the reason why I wont be posting anything anytime soon. Just so you guys know..

*ahem*
So since last night, our internet wasn't working. The internet light on the dsl box was red, meaning that the box is fine, but it can't find the Internet. Tonight, it was still down.. So, I looked up our ISP's phone number, and called them. *note that this took place at 7, during prison break, which I'm an AVID fan of.. but my mom's computer where the dsl box is, is in another room than my tv*.

Anyway, the first time I call, I was on hold for about 12-15 minutes. Then, somebody 'answered', although they didn't say anything and just set the phone down on their desk. I could hear them typing.. and I heard people talking in the distant background. "hello?" I cried. "Hello??" Nothing. They then hung up.

Ok.

So I call again. I was on hold for another 5 minutes or so, and all of a sudden, my phone started clicking, meaning I've been disconnected. "If you like to make a call, please hang up and dial again" wrang in my ear. I hung up yelling and went and ate dinner.

So then I go back and call again, and I was immediately transfered to someone. He was very very very nice, and walked me through what to do. We concluded that there was a problem with the DSL box, since I couldn't get into the configuration part of it.. so I was instructed to call Qwest.

Now, I dont know if any of you have ever called Qwest for any help before.. but let me just say - their customer service is HORRIBLE. Ugh.. so I end up calling them, and they tell me that my box is fine! and that I have to call the provider above my internet provider. She gave me both numbers, but failed to mention that I need a fucking access code to talk to anybody (which I found out AFTER I called the numbers).

So after that painful process, I call my internet provider back and get the same guy. While he's typing stuff up on his computer - out of nowhere - my dsl box is suddenly letting me access it's configuration and settings section. He walked me through the steps to fixed it, and I finally got the Internet light to turn solid green for the first time in 24 hours. Yes!

Mmk. So rant over, right? No. not over.

I go back to my computer and relax to the last 2 minutes of my favorite show that I missed. About 10 minutes go by, and I get this popup on my computer. It's your average stupid "hey buy our insurance derr just enter you credit card number here!" popups. So I try clicking the X to close the dumb thing.. but it wont close of course. And then.. my Windows command prompt window popped up about... oh over 10 times.. Just *blipblipblipblipblipblip*. I'm like wtf??? I then get an error, mentioning something about a 16-bit something failing..
As I'm trying to inform my brother over msn that I think I have a virus, my computer crashes, and I get the beloved BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH. I can no longer get into Windows without running into the blue screen. I tried booting in on safe-mode, but I still got the blue screen of death.

So, moral of the rant, I can't access my computer right now. I'm typing this from my brother's laptop because when I was on my mom's computer, (she has two computers hooked up to one monitor, and you can jump between monitors by hitting a couple certain keys on the keyboard) - and out of nowhere, it started switching between each computer, back and forth.. I had no control whatsover..

*sigh* anyway, I'll end this painful rant right here. I'm hoping my brother's super spiffy laptop will last me the next 2 minutes for me to submit this. I wont be posting anything anytime soon.

EDIT EDIT EDIT UPDATE:
So, I took in my computer today to a very very very wonderful technician to hopefully solve the blue screen of death.. of doom!
First of all, let me just give you a bit of history:
I recently (a few months ago) got my computer upgraded, meaning I got a new motherboard, processor, video card etc at PC Club. When I had gone in there to determine what I wanted to be put in, the guy behind the desk said that they could only put in a certain motherboard because of the case I have on my computer (I have a Compaq.) I said ok, so they put in that certain only motherboard that would work.

So ok, knowing that, I mentioned it to the technician that I talked to today.. He took one look inside my computer and was completely appalled.(sp?)
My power supply in my Compaq computer is NOT compatible with the motherboard that PC Club put in. They should've known that, right??? Just wanted to give another update on how things are going.. they're going.. slow..
It snowed a little today. First time since a few many months ago heh. *squeals* its goina be fuun!!
Anyway..

This weekend I plan on whipping out 2 more pastels, so look for them soon I also entered [link] and [link] into an art show that goes through christmas and new years. I dont find out if I made it in or not until next week, or the week after.. we'll see. Wish me luck!

I'm also conjuring up some ideas for some marble-themed photography. I already posted a couple shots of the same thing, with the pill bottle with marbles coming out. I decided I might try doing an addiction theme with marbles.. thanks for the idea
Any addictions you guys can think of? I've already got pills, eating (like binge eating, or just over-eating because of stress), and shooting up.. any thoughts? Just thought it would be an interesting thing to try.

A friend of mine passed away tragically resulting a bad car accident. He was driving in his truck on the freeway (and for some reason, it was raining today, even though it was 80 degrees yesterday), and he lost control and hit the median. Well, he wasn't wearing his seatbelt, and got ejected out of his truck. He broke his neck and got really bad brain damage. He was taken to the hospital, but they pulled the plug because the brain damage was so severe.... R.I.P. Brandon.

Our AP Art Portfolios are due this friday, so I've been scrambling to get it finished and overwith. You've seen 11 pastels that are going in out of 12! The last one I dont want to post because it's kind of uncomfortable looking.. eh!
Anyway, so I'm graduating in less than a month. already! I've waited for about 12 years to get out of grade school (K-12). Although its quite the exciting, its depressing too because alot of my friends that I grew up with didn't make it this far. I dont know why.. but something about senior year really smacked alot of people in the face. A few of my friends have had a kid already, alot of my friends are dropped out completely, and one of them is in rehab for heroine (sp?). So yes! I'm glad I made it this far, but I'm saddened because some of those whom I care for didn't make it this far.

*munch munch* baby carrots are delicious, btw

Oh yea, another thing.. I've been THINKING about maybe.. just maybe.. leaving DA after my subscription runs out.. No worries though, I haven't seriously considered it yet, but I have been thinking about it. It has just gotten slow, and I haven't been on as much as I would like too.. So maybe in the summer I might change my mind. I dont mean to scare some of you, but yea, it's still on my mind.
Oh! And I took the ACT again, and didn't do much better than before. I got a composite of 21 (average) my first time, and 23 this time. I did do drastically better in the math section because I had a calculator this time! But yes, I didn't do too well.

We just got smacked with a huge snowstorm, and my poor car doesn't have snowtires, so I'm ice skating in my car everyday. I got a hell of alot of stuff for christmas. One of those things are a very large set of prismacolor pastels! *drools* you'll probably see some more of that. I got some filters for my camera as well, and I will soon begin to do more photos
As for New Years.. It was probably the best I've ever had. I thought it would be wild and crazy, but it was more relaxing Got to see Regis on TV.. Wahoo..

Many apologies at the same time though.. I know I've hardly posted anything lately. I am currently working on a soft pastel drawing of my friend that I will post very soon. Besides that, I've been brainstorming and comeing up with tons of ideas for pictures, but I haven't gotten around to it!

I've been focused on school, and the term ended last week, so hopefully I can get around to actually getting something done. Heh I got 100 percent on an english paper yesterday - its neat, because she was saying that out of the 10 years of teaching there, she's only given 100% on assignments maybe twice.. but on this particular assignment, she said she's given two more.. Hah so mine got one! I didn't think it was that great of a story, but she liked it. We had to write a narrative, so I wrote a story about my cracked rib

Ugh, and I'm sick again. I have that nasty cough that feels and sounds like I'm coughing chunks of my lungs up.. Blegh! Not pleasant one bit. There's so much gunk in my throat too, making me clear my throat like every damn 2 minutes.. I bet everyone around me is ready to throw sharp objects, but oh well!
Besides that, things are well The love of my life and I are celebrating our 10 month anniversary this weekend! Yay for love!

Here we go....20 RANDOM THINGS ABOUT ME

1. I was born in Bremmerton WA and now live in Utah

2. After I was born, we stayed at a friend's house in WA for a long while, and then lived with my grandparents until we found our house in Farmington.

3. Eesh I've never been back to my home town for over 16 years, and I hope to do so eventually.

4. I've only moved twice

5. I am currently a senior in High School, studying AP Art, Yoga (yay!) and English. I'm also going to DATC and studying Graphic Design classes Heh and my job is a file clerk at an Attorney's office.

6. I have one brother who is a year and a half younger than me, who looks nothing like me, who also looks like he's older than me, and is a whole foot taller than me.

7. I am currently living with my mother and stepdad. I get along fine with my mother most of the time, and I get along fine with my stepdad if he's not being stubborn and rude My dad lives in Colorado right now, and I only get to talk to him through email I only see him 2 or 3 times a year, but oh well.

8. I am very thankful to have the friends that I have today, and even more thankful for the love of my life who has helped me discover who I am.

9. Heh when it comes to homework or needing to get something done that has a deadline, I ALWAYS do it at the last minute. I prefer having fun before my studies

10. I trust people very easily, even though I shouldn't, but I'm just nice at heart

11. Hehe I LOVE rice, its probably one of my fav's (especially if it's mixed with Yoshidas sauce... or soy sauce *drools*), but I HATE mushrooms!! Ew Ew Ew.. fungus is gross.

12. I've always wanted to go to Italy and Ireland! But the farthest I've been from the US is in Hawaii

13. I have social phobia - for example, I can talk to people on the phone or online just fine, but I'm extremely shy in person and can go into panic really easily if I'm in an unfamiliar situation, especially if there are alot of people there that I dont know.

14. I'm more of a lover than a fighter, but I'll stand up to myself and others when it's needed.

15. One of my hugest pet peeves right now is how judgemental people can be, ESPECIALLY if you're not their religion And another pet peeve is when people assume you're LDS or Mormon (no offense) if you dont want to do drugs. If you live in Utah, you'll know what I'm talking about.

16. I will absolutely put other people first before me, no matter what.

17. I hate making mistakes and I sometimes think about them too much, but nobody's perfect, and making mistakes is what makes you who you are and makes you stronger.

Classes are going well. I'm supposed to come up with a theme for my concentration when I turn in my AP Art Portfolio, but I have NO idea what I want to do for concentration.. maybe oil paintings of glass? I dont know.. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm supposed to do 12 pieces of concentration, and another 12 of breadth. I have the Breadth down, but I need to find out an idea for conentration - you're supposed to have all 12 pieces concentrated on one thing, or have some theme.. For example, someone did 12 pieces of bones done in different mediums.. So I dont know, something like that.

School is going alright. I have one more final exam to take at the technical college, and then the huge final test to pass the class. I'm really excited to get it over with, because I'll finally be taking a graphic design class instead of this computer literacy stuff I already know.

Anywho, I'm going to start an oil painting hopefully today or tomorrow, but I'm not sure what to paint I'm also going to try to take some pinhole camera pictures as well, and scan them in so you can see them. I hope all is well with everyone and I love you guys!

I've been camera shopping, and I decided I wanted to get the Rebel XT (thanks for the suggestions ). Now, I dont really have the proper funding, so to speak.. So I just asked for it for my birthday which is coming up in December. We'll see what happens!
I also went looking around for a tablet, and found some awesome deals, but that's going on my wishlist as well, since I need the money I have for gas and such.. Oh well.
Have you guys heard of Pinhole Cameras? Very fascinating process.. In my art class, since this is the second year I've been in there, my teacher wants me to make a pinhole camera and take some pictures. What you do is make a box with a lid, but paint the entire inside of it black (so you dont get overexposure or anything.) You then tape this thin metal (god I can't remember what its called) onto any side of the box, and make a tiny hole with a pin (hence the name pinhole camera!! That's all for today class.. ). After making the hole, you then just get a small piece of cardboard or anything thick and make sort of a flap to cover the hole. Once the box is made, you get photographic paper and tape it to the inside of your box on the side opposite of the hole (you're doing this while in a dark room so you dont ruin the photographic paper.) Ooookay, then it gets hard. You're then supposed to find a good place with good lighting, and experiment with how long you want to keep the hole uncovered while the paper captures whatever image is coming through the hole. After that, you cover the hole, stick the paper in fixitive, stop, developer (that stuff smells, I dont remember the order you're supposed to put the paper in) and then viola! You got a picture. It's a negative though, so you can stick it on photoshop and switch it around. So yep, I will hopefully post some of those so you can see how cool they are

I didn't bleed that bad and I didn't get sick from the anesthesia My mouth still hurts and there's brusing on my jaw still, but I'm slowly healing. I'm still waking up once in a while at 3 in the morning needing to take more pain medication Not fun.
Anyway, I have started my senior year at high school last week. I have also started going to DATC (Davis Applied Technology College). I deeply apologize for the lack of work lately - bear with me, I'm really trying hard I am enrolled in two art classes, so you will for sure see more stuff really really soon. I do have an oil painting that I did last year and entered into an art contest - I got an honorable mention for it yay.. But yea, it is a painting of Spike (The cute fluffy fat kitty in alot of my pictures). I'll get a picture of it soon so you guys can see it. I'm also working on a pencil drawing of Natalie Portman - you will also be seeing that really soon too.

Thanks for the 400 pageviews!! I feel very special. I didn't think I'd make it to 400, but I guess I did. I will be doing more pencil art in the next week before I get my wisdom teeth out, and hopefully it'll turn out okay. Allo! How is everyone lately? Good I hope. I've noticed that alot of you are getting soooooooo much better when it comes to art - its just amazing to see people's talents Dont give up guys - you are so damn inspiring! I mean, you're already awesome to begin with, and then the more you keep submitting, it just keeps getting better yay!

Anywho, school is starting up soon. I'm supposed to be going to highschool for 4 classes, a technology college for another 4 or 3 classes, and then working at the same time this year. EEsh!! *rips hair out* I'm glad its my last year in high school though - already, too! I was talking to a friend of mine about how it seems like just last year we were shitting ourselves because we were almost in High school - now its the last year. Its amazing how time flies by so fast.

I watched two movies yesterday. Have you guys seen The Bourne Identity or Bourne Supremacy? I finally watched the second one last night. I personally dont really like matt damon (he's great in dogma though! haha and Team America) but the story line is alright. The character he plays is pretty smart too. Its really sad near the beginning of the movie though - he loses someone really close to him so suddenly.. Man, when you see stuff like that, you look at that person that your madly in love with and hope to god they dont get taken away from you! Its just a movie though*sniffle* eesh, good movie though.

I watched Appleseed with my brother last night as well. Have you guys seen it?? Incredible movie! All computer animated too. Just amazing stuff. Heh I can't remember her name(the main character) but she has this ex-lover who went to Africa and totally screwed up his body, so he was placed in this machine-like body. Heh I laughed a little because he has these things on his head that looks like bunny-ears They're actually a camera, but it still looked a little funny. I would've shit my pants laughing if they gave him a fluffy tail too...

Well, first I just wanted to say thank you for everyone being so damn welcome and nice I really love coming to this place with my art to receive feedback, good or bad. And I absolutely love seeing everyone else's work because of how much of an inspiration it is to me. You guys are great

But here's the bad part. Just recently, there's been some prick (pardon my french) who has been just completely insulting people's artwork!! And these people (not mentioning names) are only 15 or 16 years old! This prick(sorry) is also 15 years old and has just been making these people feel completely unwelcome. I'm sorry guys, but that just makes me so upset to see someone that rude do something so insulting! I mean, if you are 15 years old, just starting out with art, and wanted to give Deviant Art a try, wouldn't it be nice to be influenced and inspired by others rather than COMPLETELY battered on??? *sighs* I'm so sorry for letting out so much anger, but this just makes me so sad. This place is such a great place to be, but its people like that poo face (sorry ) who ruin it for you. You should see the things he said! People should come here and be welcomed, damnit! (sorry.) And I guess this lil jerk (sorry) has been banned before for stealing art. Come on guys.. get real. I'm sorry once again, I usually am not this angry of a person, but I am so upset with people like that. Garr!!! Give me comments and let me know what you think about this.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm going to cali - tommorow!! yay! But I'm a little nervous about it at the same time. I'm really going to miss my family alot since I'm always home and never gone for this long, so its going to be hard. But at the same time, it'll be good to get away because it has been stressful at home I suddenly have alot of responsibilities ( not that there's anything wrong with that ) and its just been a challenge to keep up with everything.
