Day 1 :
Got up at 4am, drove to the airport, slight out of it most of the time since I was half asleep. Got on the plane after and arrived in Chicago. Then when we were waiting at the next gate to go to DC, United Airlines suddenly decided to cancel their flight because they felt like it. My parents were pissed as we waiting in like for an hour to schedule another flight and I was still like "zzzzzzzz". And so we got a new flight later that day....FUCKING 8 HOURS LATER THAT DAY. WTF were we gonna do for 8 fucking hours in a goddamn airport?! But since I asked the people from my ~Storm-Riders club I had thing to occupy me which didn't make the 8 hours so bad. But then the flight went to a different airport in DC and our bags went to the original airport we were going to thus we tried to race there to get our bags but we just gave up and went to the hotel. So we were able to arrive at "The Quincy" hotel at like midnight and sleep in very fluffy and comfortable beds.

Day 2 : We got up early and got on the Metro to the airport that got our bags and we rolled them back to the hotel when I noticed that right across the street WAS A BORDERS BOOK STORE! FUCK YEAH! So I spent a lot of time there and forced my dad to buy me the book "Seeing Redd" by Frank Beddor and camping out in the Manga section. Then later that night we met up with my dad's old friend and his new girlfriend at this fancy club that came straight out of a movie. Like all this 5 star shit. You had to dress up fancy and the hostess looked like a bitch and apparently was one if she didn't like you. So we had a salad that was the strangest salad I've ever seen, it didn't click to me to take a picture cause I was staring at it for so long but yeah it was odd. Two large square pieces of croutons were cut with a hole in the middle standing up right with a branch of lettuce jabbed through the middle and it stood like it was a lopsided bridge. The food had all the fancy serving shit and I felt so out of place but it was YUMMY.

Day 3 : Day of rehearsal. So today I was going to meet most of the people and more importantly Ariel, who was only a year younger than me but going to be my future niece-in-law and we've talked a lot on GaiaOnline before so I didn't feel alone. We went to the place for the wedding and me and my dad were the first ones. A bunch of people pranced along and I mostly just greeted them with a smile then avoided them until Ariel came along and we chatted a lot and wandered around avoiding all the adults. Then we went to the rehearsal dinner and sat in the corner having these disgusting lemonade drinks then switching to sprite and looking for food. But we couldn't find any so we ordered pizza and then got a taxi back to the hotel and walked to Borders, once again RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET, and spent time there before her mother changed her mind several times and was picked up later on.

Day 4 : WEDDING DAY! I gotta say, this couldn't go any better. It was awesome. Ariel and I handed out the programs that doubled as fans to everyone and the process of Shelley (my sister) was beautiful. Then we all went in for the bands and drinks and food later on and mostly me and Ariel stayed in the corner talking about manga and anime and yaoi. FUCK YES SHE'S A YAOI FUN! Epic win. And at dinner, the waiters gave us wine and champagne and both me and Ariel we joking that we'd get drunk and wobble back home but we didn't. So I'm happy for my sister and now my new brother-in-law. And my dad says that if I ever wait as late as my sister to get married, he'll have to take me down the aisle in a golf cart.

Then we woke up early and went home the same way but it was uneventful thank god. And I think turbulence on planes makes the trip more interesting. And according to my dad, the guy he sat next to was a walking sewer.


AND NOW I'M SO READY FOR THE ANIME EXPO! I ESPECIALLY WANNA MEET SOME OF MY BUDDIES FROM ORG-INFINITY! WHOOTZ! JUST THREE MORE DAYS!

Zomg guys we did it! We finished high school and pranced across the stage and got our diploma covers! (Which was lame and anticlimatic) BUT WE ALSO GOT CONFETTI STICKS! Hooman it was epic to see everyone there getting there diplomas and me shouting at them when they passed by "ARE YOU EXCITED?!" Only a select few said yes. Psh.

Especially Kyle, I needa jump him to get his green cord for the Engineering and Design acadamy. Natsu's lucky, she already got her fave color. And he was lame in not being excited when I told him to be. LAME!

Anyways, so after my graduation, I got to see all my buds and especially my two junior buds : Cayla and James. I you two! Both of you are awesome artists that have a lot ahead of them. Oh and it sucks that you'll have to deal with the changed schedule next year but I'll come to your graduation! I'll totally be able to hang out with you guys next year anytime!

IT WAS AN EPIC YEAR! CHEERS TO HAVING ANOTHER EPIC YEAR IN COLLEGE EVERYONE!

In very good news, I got into yet another club! And now I think I'm done with clubs and applying for them now. I got several event things to do with them anyways so I got my hands full.

Also, perhaps if I feel like it, I may start a shop on GaiaOnline which is probably the only place I'd accept commissions. Otherwise here on DA, I only accept art trades with people who are on the same artistic skill level as I am. Yeah so I'm gonna be busy during this Spring Break with hanging out with my friends and trying to complete and redo a lot of my concentration projects for the AP Studio Art final. I gotta focus so I'll only be on DA to check up on updates and that's about it. I gotta put aside what I want to do and work on what I have to do. T_T

So apparently my sister is engaged to some guy that I only saw his picture when he was at the beach in trunks and I was pretty darn tramatized. So he's coming after Christmas to see us. Whooo joy. As long as he's not some asshole using my sister, I really don't care.

So anyways, I'm also here to rant about something I really hate. AMATUER ROLEPLAYERS. Y'know how you can tell if they're amatuer in roleplays? They're character designs are stupid. They basically just make a franenstien version of various already made character into one. Like sayings they have Cloud's hair with Riku's Clothes, Vincent's gun, and they're Yuffie's long lost twin brother. THAT'S SO FUCKING RETARDED!! Where did all the creativity go? Can't you people think of any good character? Base it off yourself or something like that. I mean, that's what I do. That's what a lot of my other friends do. If you take two and two together, you're not always going to get Reeses peanut butter cups.

One thing I would let pass is a character that looks like someone else, like if you couldn't find a good reference picture and a picture of Sora was the closest you can find, I can deal with that as long as you give him another name, a different story, and a different personality. Seriously, if it was mentioned in the story or videogame that Yuffie was an only child or something, SHE THEN DOES NOT HAVE A LONG LOST TWIN SISTER/CLONE/LOVER/ETC!! @.@ Jeez.

Does this seem stupid of me to get so into these online roleplays and feel close to the friends I've made on there? Perhaps it is, but it also holds a world where there is an adventure that can never been truly achieved here in the real world.

Creating a character based off of myself, to be able to roam around these worlds, is it strange to even feel a small pang of jealousy?

~sigh~ I think my involvement with AP classes and comic book morals makes me think too much. --; Astronomy too. Meh, I like making my journals sound metaphorical. Since my thoughts definately are.

I was able to get an autograph from Fred Gallagher with a picture of Miho! It was so kewl to meet him. Although, he was tired from his long flight from New Zealand. I went there with $200 and came out broke but with a lot of art from DA people and I was able to get comissions of Riku from KH, and Maki and Zain from my own. It was so awesome seeing a lot of people in Artist Alley and all the anime stuff!

I wish that I didn't have to leave. It was like one giant family who all loved the same thing and knew what each one was talking about. The atmosphere was so lively. I can't wait for another Convention. Preferably so that me and Kioki can go to another one next year. But she keeps saying she has plans but doesn't finish what they are. Kinda weird really.

But oh well. The awesomeness is over and I finally got a tablet!! It's so kewl and a lot easier to work with from OpenCanvas and to Photoshop. I hope to produce more art on here since I've gotten totally addicted to my tablet.

I also have to do an art summer assignment of drawing 25 pages of REAL LIFE stuff. I can't do that. Thus, it is why I specialize in anime and manga. I can't even draw a rock without making it look like a scribble.

My days are usually busy with trying to work with kids at a Sportz Camp as a summer job and for some extra cash. And I'm about ready to drop kick them into the sky for the random hawk that's flying around the park to get them as a sacrifice. Well mostly the brats after all.

I can't wait until my next paycheck though, I'm totally aiming to get one of those tablets for my computer. I wonder why I didn't think of getting it before. Don't you hate when that happens?

ANIME EXPO THIS FRIDAY!! OMG I totally can't wait! I'm so excited since there's gonna be an art contest there that me and my partner can try and participate in. Although if I have to color with Copic markers, I might fail since I don't really know how to use them...but Fred Gallagher is gonna be there! The guy who created MegaTokyo of course! WHOOTZ! I have to save up my money for stuff!

Anyone who wants to come, just jump into my suitcase and no giggling when we pass security and if anyone asks, you are life sized souviners from Disneyland.

There was someone whom I had admired and created beautiful and amazing art. I watched their art improve and only met them recently. I wanted to get to know them and so I began to chat with them. It was fun getting to know them. Sending me doodles they did since there was a large time difference and I was probably the only one on at the time.

However, when I asked them about their connection to their characters, all they said was...."I just draw them. I draw random ppl. I don't have a preference. I just doodle."

At that moment, my admiration for this person shattered. I believe that an artist has a connection with their characters as if putting part of their life and even personality within them. Giving them life and lives on paper. A special connection is made between the two. Artist and art. I believe the characters I make to become real people in my world and to cast them aside as just doodles...seems sad.

It's kinda strange to have the sudden change and see my characters in color. It also is weird since I never really thought about the colors in detail....or well I did, but wasn't able to get an exact picture of how it would look on them.

For example, one of my guy characters had black hair at first. For some reason, I had this logic that him and another character of mine shouldn't have the same color, so I changed it to dark dark green. Everyone who looked over my shoulder or commented (mostly my best art buddy Kioki) said that it shouldn't matter if one or more characters have the same color hair. So I guess when I color him again, he'll have black hair like he seems to need. xD

So eh, bare with me as I go through this change of black and white to "life."
