Basically, Brickshelf is like the Photobucket of LEGO-related images. They offer a non-LEGO alternative called Maj (later renamed Majhost). Recently, the site has stopped allowing people to upload pictures to it.

I considered the possibility that I got in trouble for some reason - it seems others are experiencing the same problem, so either there was a massive ban of users, or they're down for a rather long period of time.

I've been using the site for uploading to it since 2005 or so; non-DeviantART art, website resources, random things to upload to show others. LOTS of things. The fact that it's down concerns me, because this means I've lost a very reliable, no-questions-asked service.

For now, I'll just have to use FlickR. [link]

Journal Skin by =Thewinator
Shell stocks by ~huomennastock, ~chop-stock and ~hatestock

I went to an early Thanksgiving a few days back and have been trying to recover from that (or rather, the incredibly tiredness I was going through) for the last few days. I'll try to get to the remaining sketches in a little bit.

OKAY, so, money. I need it. So, let's see if we can make this happen.

I'm trying to get into submitting Prints here. I've got one up now since someone requested a Print (intentional or not?), so we'll see how that goes. I WILL try to do some more unique pieces for Prints, so it won't just be the usual stuff that you can see for free.

If it doesn't go so well, I wanna try doing commissions. SOMETHING to get some cash off'a my art, since all I really do is draw. I kinda wanna see if people are interested, and if so, how much you'd be willing to pay. Sketches, colored, whatever. I'll lay down some ground rules once people are interested.

Journal Skin by =Thewinator
Shell stocks by ~huomennastock, ~chop-stock and ~hatestock

[link]

I just have to say... Wow.

A lot of people will tell you that, over the years, Disney has lost their "magic" when it comes to movies. Be it because of animation liberties (ei: CGI all the way), or just because they've looked like nothing but a business corporation. I used to think the former, but when I saw Meet The Robinsons, that was a film that proved they haven't lost their touch.

Toy Story is something that has been part of me for most of my life. It was the first fully CGI film ever made, and while you can't say such things about other films, it really feels timeless. Toy Story 2 was... well, most people don't like sequels, for whatever reason - sometimes because it ruins the love they had for the original, or just because they think "I saw a sequel and it sucked, so all sequels must suck."

What I'm trying to say is, Toy Story has been close to my heart for a long time. To this day, I feel something when I see Buzz and Woody make it back to Andy. Or when Jesse tells her story of woe. And when I saw the trailer for Toy Story 3, saw Woody stand up as he looked at Andy's room... that feeling returned.

I can say without a doubt, I will LOVE TS3. The trailer brought me joy, and brought me laughs. If a simple trailer could do that, the movie will feel like a masterpiece to me. I honestly cannot wait for June!

Dunno where I'm going with this, all I know is I'm a sucker for toys. And something about the plot of this one... yeah, I'm psyched.

So a long while back, YouTube planned to redesign the Channels. The video they uploaded for this announcement showed what it looked like and would base their decision (as I recall) on how people felt about it.

There were thousands (if not millions?) of comments, most of which were AGAINST it. So you'd figure if nearly everyone hated it, they'd decide not to go with it.

So later on, they decided to make the new Channels something you could just "try out." I put that in quotations because it's a PERMANENT switch. If you tried out the new Channel design, you couldn't switch back. I'd say it's a glitch, but at this point... no. And it seems that if you're a sponsored user, you have no choice.

And now... Now they've just turned it mandatory, which I find completely unnecessary. Even now there seems to be 9-out-of-10 people who hate it. But YouTube has proven that they're not going to care what people like or dislike, they're just doing what every popular site does; Updating themselves so they'll look more "hip." Total BS.

I know people probably find this rant pointless, but I HATE the new Channels. It's supposed to make it easier to browse people's videos, but all it does is make it harder. Especially when they've got tons of videos, and you can't handle the lag.

And I'm not a fan of the "browse videos without leaving the page!" gimmick. I don't care how "convenient" it is, it's annoying when I want to view multiple things at once. On top of that, there's always the 60% chance that my browser crashes from USING the Channels.

Ugh. They were just getting on people's good sides by allowing more copyright content, and now this...

(By the way: [link] Modest much?)

Went shopping and got some minor things. At Big Lots I found an Animal Crossing stamp of Bunnie, which I thought was really rare to come across. They also had knockoff Transformers ("SUPER INTERCHANGABLE ROBOT FIRE RESCUE") but I didn't care about having a G1 Defensor that would probably break.

Anywho, at Toys'R'Us I noticed they had Sonic toys, so I got one. Specifically, it's a special exclusive which comes with two 3 inch tall figures, one is Knuckles and the other is Sonic, who for no reason (other than being an exclusive) is clear blue.

So, I have this thing about Sonic and action figures. I think, if done right, they can work, but their anatomy is hard to make articulated, y'know? These have a decent amount of articulation, but the joints make them look kind of robotic. Regardless, these have to be the best Sonic figures I've seen.

To sum up my thoughts: Knuckles is better than Sonic. Sonic can't even stand due to his big head and feet (the feet having the problem of being in a curve.) Knuckles has a similar problem, but his big flat feet help keep in standing.

Overall I think these are good for Sonic fans. Oh, and the reason they're so special: They come packaged with issue 200 of the comic. It's labeled as a "Collection's Edition" but doesn't seem to be any different than the normal one, from what I understand. Only kinda skimmed through it since I haven't getting past issue 25 yet.

Also in addition to these, TRU also had other figures. Sonic, I think Shadow, Black Knight version of Sonic (came with non-removable armor glove and a sword), Werehog Sonic, Super Sonic, and Super Shadow. I found it odd how the Super forms were bigger than the normal figures. Apparently they have various toy scales. Odd.

So uh, yeah. These are decent, but I think Sonic could've used more work. In terms of size, if you have any 3 3/4 inch action figures, these would be in scale with them. At least I assume so. Also, JazToys: You did a good job on these, but please go beyond the game cast? Knuckles wasn't even relevant to the comic these came with. Should've been Sally.

Review to come I guess? There's not much to say other than what I've said here. XD

I've been pretty lazy lately as far as writing goes, but I've got some things I want to do some work on. Particularly, 700AZV. That said, I have a bit of news about it.

I know that people (well, maybe just a few) have been waiting for me to put up chapter 4, but to be honest, it's been hard to finish. And I think I know what my problem is: I'm not liking where it's going.

As I look back on the story, I feel the same way about the writing as I do about the art style: "What was I thinking?" So, once I get back to writing, guess what? 700AZV's going to be having some changes made to it.

There are characters and plot details that, since I've written them into the story, have evolved in my head. And to be honest, it results in me not being pleased with what I've already revealed. So, for some of it I may just add a little or remove a little, or even completely rewrite what I've written thus far. I do have a better idea for the opening, something that's less like the somewhat-boring recap it opens with.

So yeah, just thought I'd throw that out there. I may be starting on 700AZV in a little bit once I reread the chapters and see what needs to be done.

UPDATE: In order to keep random story spam off my Twitter, I made an account there specifically for 700AZV updates: [link]

Well, I'll paste what I said on this forum;

So I had this setup for a while, and it was fine until my Internet connection got lousy. This somehow caused it to never connect at all. So, I figured maybe if I uninstalled it and reinstalled with the latest version, all would be fine.

The freakin thing is in Japanese. And I have no idea how to revert it. In fact, I don't know how to install it. I select the language(?) under Japanese - which I assume, based on the official site installation, is English - but it either just sits there or it makes some progress then gives an error; [link]

I've tried using every version Nintendo has up, each does the exact same thing.
My mom and I went to see Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince today for my birthday. And I must say, best film of them all so far. This is kind of bias, of course, because my interest in it comes from the whole atmosphere of the film and how it resembles that of the third film, which has always been my favorite for the way it looked.

As for story, well, I don't read the books, but honestly don't care how different they may be - I enjoy seeing it all happen on the big screen. And I honestly can't tell how consistent the plot is in the movie either, because... come on, each film takes like a year or two to come out, so by the time you get to see it, details from previous films can be foggy.

I just take everything with a grain of salt, and try to act like a stranger to the upcoming films. Trying not to think too hard on how things played out in the previous films, just enjoying what I see unfold in this one.

So, am I going to see the last one(s)? Definitely. Am I getting this on DVD? Not yet. I'm going to be the ultimate man of patience and wait until they're ALL out, so I can buy the inevitable "here's EVERYTHING" boxset. You know it's gonna happen.

So yeah, that's all so far. Just finished my cake (CUPcake, but it was a big one!) and ice cream.
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the series, it would seem 4Kids has a movie where their cartoon cast meets the original '87 cast.
So earlier I was eating cereal and put the cereal on the tray my desk has. The tray has been kinda wobbly lately but was fixed using major awesome glue. However, it ended up getting loose again, annnd knocked my cereal into my lap. What didn't stick to my shirt got on my lap and on the couch. So after I cleaned that up, I took a shower and changed clothes.

Annnd soon after, noticed the keyboard wasn't working. I rushed it into the little cubby where I store it, and must've broken it. A screw was missing, but that doesn't explain why most of the keys weren't functioning.

Ended up using my moms keyboard, which is also kinda broken, but actually works. Once I finally sat down to relax... theeee desk tray broke off completely. Now I don't have a spot to place my keyboard and mouse when I'm using them. Very weird.

Bright side is my mom will try to reattach the tray by adding new holes, since these are kinda old and worn out. The desk itself is about 5 years old, and the tray has suffered at least a hundred spilled drinks, so... it was bound to lose the battle of gravity at some point.

So yeah, wtf.

I DO mention some characters, but other than that, all is spoiler-free.

Within the last few days, I've had a lot of friends on Twitter say they enjoyed the movie, so I had high hopes. However, there's always gonna be negative comments as well. And I've heard a few. But despite that, I went to see it.

And what did I think?

Well... To put it simply, I thought the action and the plot (namely the look into the past of the Cybertronians) was really awesome. However... I will say this; If you're expecting the human material to be better than the first, don't get your hopes up. It's just kind of trying to get the job done, and I didn't think it FAILED at it, but it wasn't all that interesting to me as a whole.

But overall, I really enjoyed what went on. However, I do want to address some things I've heard.

For one, the twins. Yes, we know it. They're gangster stereotypes. And I know not everyone can enjoy that. But calling them the most offensive and racist characters in movie history is just a BIT too much, y'know? I think the point of them was to be literal and obvious joke characters, but people seem to take them as normal ones, and thus label them as stereotypes. Just get a sense of humor, 'kay?

There's a couple other things people are angry about, but I've posted them over on LiveJournal; [link]

Anyway, great film. Hope to see the sequel in 2012 or whenever it shall take place. There WILL be a third one, no mistake there!

Welp, it's official - Michael Jackson, at the age of 50, has died of a heart attack.

I don't know what to say other than... I am disappointed. I was a fan of his work, and not too long ago, I gained much respect when I learned a little about his past. It's sad that he lost his chance at a real childhood because of fame.

He's not been very well liked in recent years, I know. And when I've said to people I liked his music, it would give weird looks. The fact is, though, I was a fan of his music, not the man he became. But despite the jokes I've made in the past, I do feel sorry for him and how he's changed. And now, jokes just seem cruel.

I'm watching the news for once, watching the report they have going on. Even though I'm going out to see Transformers 2, when I get back, I think I'll watch Moonwalker in honor of him.

So, yeah. Rest in peace, oh King of Pop.

It's been a while since I've done toy reviews on LiveJournal, so I guess I shall do a summary of my recent items... Within the past few weeks?

A few weeks back, I decided to get the last TFA figures I could get before the movie toyline comes along, so I got the infamous shelfwarmers; Oil Slick and Blackarachnia. Almost instantly regret Blackarachnia, she's hard to stand and just isn't all that impressive, but I'm sure she's good for Beast Wars fans. Oil Slick, on the other hand, is a cool boy. He's got a funky Earth alt mode (and it's technically exclusive to the toy, since he's always got a Cybertronian mode in other forms of media!) Overall, Oil Slick was worth getting, but Blackarachnia is something I MIGHT be willing to sell. I may have plans for her shoulders in future kitbash projects (you know, once I get into actual kitbashing.)

Not so long ago, like a week ago, I received an item from *HunterofHearts - Classics Hot Shot! We had a trade sometime ago, where she got my Energon Rodimus and Prowl, and I got... Hot Shot. A MAJOR improvement over the Armada figure, but his poor Mini-Con Jolt... the Armada one is better, sadly. He is a poorly thought out figure, and can hardly even stand unless you have him in a bent over pose. Seriously, wtf Hasbro? Other than the little derpy Mini-Con, he is awesome.

And now, today I FINALLY got to go out and get movie toys! Unfortunately, despite Toys R Us having TONS of movie stuff (a whole isle, 1/4 of an isle, and at the entrance of every other boys-toys isle... wow), they pretty much only had Wave 1 for everything. I got Deluxe class Rampage, who's gotta be the most complex Deluxe I've EVER fiddled with, and is almost intimidating because of it, but I've mastered it now. I almost took advantage of their 50% off deal (If you buy a Deluxe/Fast Action Battler/Robot Replicas, you get a second one at 50% off), but the only thing they had that I wanted was Fast Action Battler's own Long Haul, and... it just didn't feel right. Now I wish I had taken advantage of that deal, because it would've been worth it with how good Rampage was.

Anyway, overall I've only gotten 4 new things. Reviews to come... someday. Got pics of Oil Slick and Blackarachnia, but before I even post the reviews I need to add the TFA synopsis of Endgame Part 2. GAH.

Also, I may not be getting more stuff in a while. Gotta save up to see the movie. And with my Birthday coming up (July 15th), I wanna have cash to spend there. Yup.

That is all.

Another series of reviews for you all to read. At this rate I may be done with these comics by Monday!

--------------------------------------------
Issue #011

The Good, The Bad, And The Hedgehog:
An interesting one involving an alternate dimension Sonic. I like these sort of stories.

Beat The Clock:
Coconut's failed comeuppance. Poor guy can't catch a break.

Food For Thought/You Are What You Eat
A random little dream sequence of Sonic's. I'm pretty sure this is just bonus content.

Overall an interesting read.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #012

A Timely Arrival:
Time travel stories are always fun, and this is a bit of a wacky one.

Bold-Headed Eagle:
A bit short, but it's okay.

The Lynx Is A Jinx:
A cute little story, I must say. Fun thing to read.

This issue had a lot going for it, so I enjoyed it.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #013

This Island Hedgehog:
A very nice way to use the Sonic 3 concept, as well as introduce Knuckles. I really liked this one.

Space In Yo' Face:
Not entirely interesting, but it had its funny moments.

Another good one, basically. And I noticed the art style changed again, I kinda like the way it looked in this one.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #014

Tails' Taste Of Power:
A nice little Tails-centric story. I like it.

Do-It-Yourself:
This is more of a fun little activity than a game. It provides blank word bubbles and you fill in the text. May try it sometime.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun:
A nice turn of events where the female characters save the day.

An okay issue.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #015

Rockin' The 'Bot:
Wasn't able to follow this one very well, it was kind of confusing... And weird.

What's The Big Idea?:
Rotor... makes... a thermos? Yeah, this is pretty short.

Animal Magnetism:
Another throwaway plan of Robotnik's. Nothing special.

So, an average issue, I guess. Nothing fancy, but nothing horrible.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #016

Sonic Under Glass:
Clever concept, I liked it. And we finally see Uncle Chuck for a brief moment.

The Man From H.E.D.G.E.H.O.G.:
A little spy parody, which was kind of short, but good.

A decent issue here, and FINALLY Sally is sporting her proper colors that are used within SatAM.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #017

Gorilla Warfare/The Apes Of Wrath:
King Kong parody. Kind of interesting how it says something about Robotnik's past.

First Star I See Tonight (Princess Sally's Crusade):
A curious short chapter which is to be continued in the next issue.

Perhaps now we're getting buildup to much more serious writing. I hope so!
--------------------------------------------
Issue #018

Wedding Bell Blues:
An interesting twist which I won't spoil, but I will say it ends up not happening.

In The Still Of The Night (Princess Sally's Crusade):
Continuing where issue 17 left off, this chapter is rather unexpectedly emotional. I liked it for this reason.

This was a rather nice issue, I must say. Now we're getting somewhere.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #019

Night Of 1,000 Sonics:
An awesome chapter with more alternates dimension travels.

This issue was packed with one single, epicly sized chapter. Awesome.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #020

That's The Spirit:
Another awesome chapter which, all I can say, is well written.

A Princess Sally Adventure (Deadliest Of The Species - Prologue):
A small little scene with Sally sneaking into Robotropolis, with an introduction to a character called St. John.

Another awesome issue, I'm really liking the way these comics are evolving.
--------------------------------------------
Having read 10 more issues, I can safely say I have made excellent predictions.

Old Predictions:
- Snively gets more screen time: Confirmed! He did, indeed, show up more often as a regular lackey.
- A special will spans two chapters/issues: Confirmed! The Princess Sally's Crusade stuff is spread across a few issues so far, even if it's just a side story.
- At least one or two more character-centric chapters: Confirmed! There was a Tails one and Rotor had a small bit, which counts. Not to mention all the Sally stuff.
- I'll find at least 3 chapters I really like: Confirmed! There were...

To make introductions short, this is where I'll be writing my thoughts on each of the Sonic Archie comics. I've wanted to read them all for a while, so this is a real treat for me. Let's begin.

--------------------------------------------
Issue #001

Meet Me At The Corner of Hedgehog & Vine:
A bit of an odd way to start things off, but it works.

You Bet My Life:
Another odd one, but an interesting read. I like how they incorporated the Casino Zone into the story.

It's very obviously old, and admittedly a bit cheesy, but I thought it was a nice little read. Definitely no solid plot yet, just random little episodic chapters.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #002

Triple Trouble:
Introduces Scratch and Grounder from AoSTH, and they act pretty much like they would on TV, so I guess this would be fun for the fans of that show.

Vertigo A Go Go:
Random little chapter. Not sure what else to say. Though I did like how it apparently incorporated the Special Zone from Sonic 2.

Another episodic issue. This one seemed a little more wacky and random, which I guess works since it introduces characters from the AoSTH cartoon. Still, an okay read.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #003

The Bomb Bugs Me:
This was a misleading chapter. I was expecting it to be the long awaited plot, but turned out to be a joke. Still, fun read.

Rabbot Deployment:
This is probably my favorite chapter so far. It introduces Bunnie (who I thought was probably just a minor background character all this time), and already she has some nice development.

This issue was very promising. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but maybe the second chapter is the long awaited plot I've been hoping for? We'll find out soon enough!
--------------------------------------------
Issue #004

The Lizard Of Odd:
An odd little chapter. I kinda found it odd (yet interesting) how they used the Chaos Emeralds and Super Sonic so unexpectedly, without much explanation to the origin of both things.

Tails' Little Tale:
Cute little story here staring Tails. I kinda skimmed through it since not much was going on, but it was still fun.

Seems that there isn't any plot like I was hoping for. But maybe further chapters will have it.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #005

Olympic Trial And Errors:
Episodic, but clever.

Chomp On This, Chump:
This... was strange.

Needless to say, this was another one of those comics you can skip on. Not much interesting stuff took place.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #006

The Spin Doctor:
A nice little way to use Sonic Spinball in the story. Though it's not all that interesting.

Sonic's Christmas Carol:
Parodies of this Christmas story are always fun to read, and this one in particular was pretty neat. I also think this is the first use of Snively so far.

Even more episodic chapters. But I did notice in particular, the art style seemed slightly different. Perhaps another artist was used here?
--------------------------------------------
Issue #007

Uncle Chuck's Treasure:
Cute little story. I think this is the most Uncle Chuck has been used aside from his cameo in the Christmas Carol parody.

Sorceress In Distress:
A Sally-centric chapter, kinda. I thought this was pretty funny. And that's all I have to say.

This one was actually decent, so I'd recommend it.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #008

Bot's All, Folks:
A hilarious little comic that parodies a few superheroes, including a little cameo with a Steve Urkel bot. Loved this one.

A Little Sonic Goes A Long Way:
Typical shrinking episode type of story. Didn't read much of it.

Overall the first chapter really saved it for me, it was hilarious.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #009

Pseudo-Sonic:
Possibly the first introduction to Metal Sonic. It wasn't spectacular, but it works.

What's The Point?:
One of those stories where a character acts unusually bad and learns a lesson from it. An okay story.

Not quite as good as the previous one, but I guess it's good.
--------------------------------------------
Issue #010

Revenge Of The Nerbs:
Introduces another race, but not all that interesting for me. Though I did like the clever Ninja Turtles cameo.

Twan With The Wind:
Antoine-centric episode. I like how he has some comeuppance here, even if it's probably not gonna affect later chapters.

Another okay c...

Much to my surprise, shortly after my previous journal, more BotCon news took place! Namely, a bunch of different panels (Again, Q&A and future plans)

This time, extra special guest Weird Al (popular in the TF series for Dare To Be Stupid, featured in the '86 movie, and the voice of Wreck-Gar in TFA) had a Q&A with David Kaye (voice of Megatron in previous shows and Optimus in TFA.) Much fun was had, judging by the live text feeds. Wish someone could've recorded it. One thing I liked reading was that Weird Al apparently plays with his daughter using his Wreck-Gar voice, I thought that was cute.

Aside from that, there was also a panel for IDW, which from what I was told revealed that a TFA comic was in future plans, so that should be good news for fans. Another panel was for Activision, which revealed some info on the upcoming movie game, didn't really read that one either. Most important was Hasbro's panel, which explained future listing in the movie AND TFA lines. I must say, surprising stuff was said.

The only most notable things about the movie line is that there will be a special Toys R Us pack which features a blue redeco of Soundwave, as well as movie 1 Voyager Megatron for some reason. But the biggest thing there is the announcement of a movie version of Lockdown, the bounty hunter Decepticon from TFA. Lockdown's character and name were both exclusive to TFA, so seeing him graduate to a new series is interesting. And from what was said, it sounds like he's gonna be like a movie version of the TFA design, which I'm dying to see! But this will be in 2010, so we must be patient.

Now, I'm sure people here wanna know about the TFA toyline, right? They listed off every release they've got in mind, but I'm holding out hope they have more plans as time goes by. Here's what we should be expecting;
Electrostatic Soundwave with Ratbat
Arcee
Cybertron Mode Ratchet
Ironhide (Redeco/remold of above)
Rodimus Minor (Comes with spoiler missiles, apparently has odd legs)
Fugitive Waspinator (Simple redeco of Bumblebee, reenacting when he switched places with him)
Hydrodive Bumblebee (The smaller-than-Deluxe figure who comes in Voyager class with a submarine accessory)
Goldfire Grimlock (Gold redeco, yawn)
Blackout (Has an Earth mode and hand weapons or something)
Wingblade Optimus Prime (Voyager price point set which features Deluxe Earth mode Optimus Prime with jetpack, gauntlets and hammer JUST LIKE I PREDICTED)
Thundercracker (Redeco of Starscream)

So, wow. Hasbro surprised me with all these releases. However, I don't know if these will release alongside the movie line - All that I saw about it was that they want to release these all (especially Arcee) in some form, some may be exclusives. Before people groan at the word 'exclusive', I'm thinking maybe that refers to the redecos/remolds. So, no need to get into a tizzy.

Anyway, great stuff revealed at this BotCon. To be honest, this is the first time I'm actually reading up about BotCon stuff, so it's pretty exciting news. Probably not for the people who hate the movie AND TFA, but for me, it's AWESOME.

Welp, it's nearing the end of BotCon, the fabled Transformers convention that you need to have lots of cash for. I'm not there, but I know a few people who are, and loving it. TFW2005 and other TF sites are showing info on the panels (Q&A and general info on future projects), as well as tons of pictures of what Hasbro has in store for the movie line, and even a tiny bit of Animated. Where do I begin?

First, the big thing, TFA. Yes, unfortunately, the first thing they had to say was that TFA was indeed done. HOWEVER, HOWEVER, there was some good bit of news within that little grey cloud. I have 3 things;

1. The biggest would be that they said TFA would no longer continue in animation - While they could just be specifying the series as a whole, it sounds like they may be hinting at future comic releases? After all, there were toy listings which took place long after the show ends, so it's possible we'll still get some form of continuity. ~GeneralTekno also pointed out that IDW is talking of a comic continuation, but nothing solid has been established YET.

2. Wreck-Gar, the Constructicons and Dinobots all survived (those who saw the finale may understand what this means.) They were originally meant to show up in the finale itself, just as an indication that they didn't die in the end, but I guess it was cut - like always - for time. Still, this should be good news for those who were doing fanfiction and weren't sure who lived or died.

3. This probably doesn't affect many people, but it does me; With the confirmation that TFA's story is finished, this means we all have a perfect chance to write our dream season 4 fanfictions. See, what I was worried about was, I'd write my own fanfics about season 4, only to have the show continue and ruin all my planning. But with the official word on its status, there's no worry in that. Write to your hearts content!

With that out of the way, I should also say; People, please don't bug Derrick Wyatt or any of the TFA crew about this cancellation. It's like with Hasbro - It isn't their fault their TFA toys got canceled, it's the retailers who decide what they want to sell from Hasbro's collection, so if anyone is to blame here for the show's cancellation, it's probably Cartoon Network you're after. But even then, it's kind of silly to go after anyone here. TFA is over, and it ended on a positive note. No cliffhangers, not TOO many questions, and no lost potential. It did what it did, and succeeded. I think that it's probably best if the show ended where it did, but if it were to return for one more season, I'd welcome that to get a more definitive ending.

So, that little rant out of the way, what else did we learn from the BotCon? Well, on Hasbro's side, it sounds like they're still working out details on what they'll be releasing in 2010, so there's no real answer on what we can expect. And on the Fun Pub. side of things, they plan to do some more Shattered Glass comics, which I'm happy to hear. As for the movie, there's some hilarity about how a certain (annoying) fan asked the movie writers Star Trek questions (as they did that movie too), despite it being a TRANSFORMERS convention. Ahem, anyway.

Looks like a majority of the movie toyline has been revealed. Naturally, most of it is stuff we've known about through leaks and store listings, but some surprises were had - not very GOOD ones, though. Looks like there's some redecos in the Scout line, nothing too fancy... But one thing I discovered not too long ago is they're doing a lot more Legends figures, including Skids and Mudflap! Yey <3 Oh, there's also one for The Fallen, of all characters, but SKIDS AND MUDFLAP YES.

Oh right, and among the movie toys, there was also a display for Animated. Most of it was stuff already out, but it seems we finally get to see a few yet-to-be-released toys, which include; Activators Soundwave, the firey redeco of Activators Grimlock, Deluxe class Electrostatic Soundwave, and finally we see Deluxe class Freeway Jazz, who is pretty much a grey redeco with a normal Autobot symbol. Curious.

One thing that concerns me a bit is, aside from the Activators Soundwave, none of these upcoming toys on display were new figures, just redecos. But I'm gonna have some hope here and say they're holding that stuff back as a surprise. Oh, also, they displayed a few unreleased store exclusives for the Universe/Classics line, which included; A red redeco of Classics Powerglide (G1 accurate, somewhat, no robot mode shown yet), a green redeco of Classics Onslaught which is apparently homaging Hardhead from the G1 Headmasters line, and a Classics Silverbolt redeco homaging a G2 character named Skyjack (this redeco named Skyfall f...

Like before, no, I will not be writing spoilers. But instead will be giving a brief series of opinions on it. So yeah, scroll down if you wanna know how well the series did in its possibly last finale.

-----------------

-----------------

-----------------

-----------------

Since before the third season even started airing, there have been rumors and concerns about the possible cancellation of the show. The simple fact is, we may not get a fourth season, so you have to wonder; will this finale be another cliffhanger with no conclusion? I think it worked out well, personally.

The ending is much like that of Avatar: The Last Airbender. If you're not familiar with the show, or don't know how it ended, I will try my best to explain; It's a sort of storybook happy ending, peace is restored and whatnot, but the antagonist is still around for potential continuation. That in mind, I can definitely see it being a season finale rather than series finale, but it can serve as the latter if needed.

To kind of add to that, while I think we shouldn't need more seasons, I do think one more couldn't hurt. After all, some things were left unresolved. Such as Lockdown's origins, which I know that Derrick Wyatt has gone on record saying he has a well written background that has yet to be revealed. There's also the Constructicons and the possible Devastator form.

In my opinion this finale seemed rushed by the end, but what it provided was enough to satisfy me. I can say without a doubt that, if this is the end, I'm not disappointed - it had a successful run with 3 seasons, albeit short, and made an impact in Transformers history I think will always be remembered, no matter how many people were against it.

You can complain about the designs, and you can complain about the artwork... but one thing you can't possibly deny is the heart that was put into the story and its characters. For years we've had nothing but anime that has used typical mecha-style robots, blocky designs, and usually sub-par English dubbing/writing. Now, we have a true American cartoon created by fans of the series, which has changed all of that and created a new masterpiece.

-ahem- So... What I'm trying to say is... even if this is the end for the series canonically, it will never end in our hearts... That is all.

Expect the second part synopsis on my LJ later.

Yeah, so, we all know who Stan Bush is, right? Did "Dare" and "The Touch" for the '86 TF movie. And he has also done other music too, but most people probably don't know. I can never find his music so I barely knew.

Anyway, recently, there's been a lot of rage against him. He did a remake of "The Touch" which he hopes to pitch for use in the upcoming TF film. It's basically considered a Linkin Park-ified version of the song, being slowed down and more emotional, along with rap bits. Really, it DOES sound like a Linkin Park version. I almost thought he collabed with them or something.

Anyway, he's getting a lot of flak for this song. The music video for it he posted on YouTube had a lot of negative comments and suggestions on how to improve it, so he posted a new version... I guess he didn't understand the comments, because people said remove the rapper, and... he removed all video footage of the rapper, and only left parts with him in it. Kind of a kick in the pants there.

So, I just figured I'd explain why, despite how people somehow find it blasphemous to remake a song from the 80s, that I still like this remake. Well... To start off, I can be pretty open minded at times, so that's probably where most of my optimism comes from. Namely though, I just think the slowed down pacing of the song works for the message the song gets across.

And considering he's trying to make it work for the movie, I think he would need to make it a little less "80s rock" and more emotional. Granted, I want to make it clear that I'm not trying to stand up for the guy - I know he may be seen as "shady" since he's apparently hiding negative comments now, but I just think the concept he was going with was more because of its importance to fans rather than just being an ignoble attempt to get back into the music scene.

Although, I could be completely wrong, and the popular opinion of Stan Bush is a man who's trying to become popular again by leeching off the new movie's popularity could be completely true. I dunno, just wanted to get it out there that I'm not quite as hateful toward this song remake. But I do think everyone would like it more without the rap.

That is all?

Okay so, TFA has aired the first part of its season (and going by past news, possibly SERIES) finale. Given the mass importance of this episode (and that it aired little over an hour ago), I will be as brief and spoiler-free as possible with this little "review." Synopsis coming to my LJ tomorrow.

Okay, so basically, I will say that they explained a couple of things I didn't expect, plus pulled it off nicely. Some things were also taking that great storytelling route of making you expect a certain thing will happen, then completely fooling you by doing something else. Really clever writing in that regard.

If there's anything bad I have to say.... I think this episode was more of a "let's close this plothole up" episode, rather than a "let's close this show" episode, but it IS just the first part. And having this stuff out of the way will make room for more action in part 2, airing next week.

Lastly, while it might be a bit spoiler-y to say - the episode brought in what could easily be one of the rumored upcoming toys. And judging by what was shown in the episode, I think the toy can be done with style and grace, and look really neat. That said, I still hope my expectations for said toy are not gonna be crushed by a brand new, oversized mold.

Anyway... All of this out of the way, the episode wasn't entirely epic, but it did stuff I liked, so with that in mind, it's awesome.

Well, I must say first that I don't wish to give names, but I will bring this matter to the surface.

There's a toy reviewer on YouTube I really like, but lately he's been going through some tough times, financially. He made a video explaining how he was having trouble making money (likely due to the many stuff he buys for reviews and to get views), and due to copyright infringement lost his YouTube partnership, which was his only source of money.

He was explaining how he didn't have a job, and needed cash so he didn't end up losing his home. He got some video responses which were, more or less, trying to talk sense into him - If he needs money, he should STOP trying to make money on YouTube, and just get a job. He didn't really show any sign of getting a job yet, but has gotten his partnership back.

Now, the issue at hand - He's become a bit... questionable. He's been uploading a lot of his reviews again, but this time they have a lot of false tags. Transformers reviews having X-Men tags, and vise-versa. He always seemed like a nice guy, but these actions are pretty underhanded. And I've tried to tell him on YouTube as well as on Twitter that this could lose him his partnership, as "Mass Advertising" is one of the things videos can be reported for, but as far as I know, he seems to be ignoring me.

I don't even know the guy personally, only spoken to him once or twice, but it still concerns. However, this behavior shows he's really desperate for money, to the point of breaking a few rules. And, again, as far as I know he still hasn't even just gotten himself a job. I really hope he can get his life together, because he seems to be in a very dark place right now, and is muddling through it like he's doing just fine. It's... scary.

Not sure what the point is in telling all this. I just felt like I needed to let off some steam on the matter. Still not sure why it should affect me. I just care about people, I guess... Even strangers.

Here's hoping he gets better.

So, I've been going through my head some thoughts about the idea... I guess an introduction to my interest is needed.

As some would probably know, the Ninja Turtles is a cartoon that was near and dear to me as a child. It was one of the earliest cartoon memories I had. That being said, I had a ton of toys, and the Turtles In Time game. I had a couple of friends who loved to play it, and even got my mom to play it too since she kinda liked the cartoon at the time. One of my fondest memories is when she and I beat The Shredder, yup.

So, now, I don't have the original game. But I DO have the manual. You know, the one which reveals every boss in the game, whereas the game itself tries to keep you guessing until you actually get to said boss? Yeah, so... I've played the game again on emulators, and it's still a great game to this day, albeit a bit difficult at some points, but fun.

That said, I am really in favor of a remake, especially if it's pretty much just a complete graphical revamp. However, I do think it could use some improvements to make it a bit more spiffy...

For one, based on a comment someone else has made elsewhere, I'd love if they worked in Venus, the female turtle from The Next Mutation. While I never even saw the show, I knew of the character and thought it was just awesome for them to make a female character who wasn't defenseless. As much as I like April, you have to admit, she gets herself kidnapped way too easily, so it's nice to have someone who can put up a good fight.

Another thing I would personally like is if they have cutscenes in the game. I know that might take away from the original game, but keep in mind on the SNES, there weren't many fighting games (this one included) which had a story that was told between levels, you just skipped to a completely new level without explanation. So, it would be nice to at least have some short scenes involving the transition between levels.

Well, I guess with talk of cutscenes, the big question comes to mind: Would it be possible to get all the voices from the 80s cartoon to voice their respective characters? Cam Clarke is definitely still around to voice Baxter Stockman and Leonardo, and I know James Avery is still alive and kicking to voice The Shredder. As for the rest, I have no idea. I wouldn't mind it so much as long as they pick the right kind of voices, something that at least fits the characters in one of the continuities.

Another somewhat major aspect might be how the designs look. Being the fact that it's a complete remake of the graphics, I am half-expecting them to keep the designs intact, but also half-expecting some modern alterations or even complete makeovers. I'd definitely be in favor of the latter if they were to make characters less cartoony and more "tragic." Like Baxter Stockman, his cartoon design - which I DO love - is a bit dorky and hilarious. And the fly form is only scary if you're a kid. So if they happen to make him a more realistic fly mutant, with more realistic "scientist" clothes, I'd totally dig that. As for the rest... Who knows? Perhaps some sort of mashup of previous character designs?

Anyway, at this point in time it's too early to have solid guesses at what's going to happen. Heck, all we know so far is that it's gonna be on XBox Live and Wii in some form. I'm looking forward to updates on the game, and am hoping some of my speculation here pans out in a good way.

Forgot to say, a few days ago I got it. And no, I'm not writing a full review this time... But I do have a few things to say.

Volumes 1 and 2 covered the Ocarina Of Time storyline, so volume 3, chronologically, is about Majora's Mask. And due to how short the story is, it's only a single volume. Which, obviously, makes it seem really short.

The chapters pretty much cover each of the four bosses, though like in OOT, one just gets defeated at the start of the chapter. The beginning, like OOT was at times, had some filler that wasn't in the game, which explains a little bit about how Hyrule is doing after the events of OOT, and Link's journey to find his fairy, Navi.

One of my favorite parts about this manga was the interaction Link had with the characters in Termina. In the main series of games, Link isn't an audible character who can interact with others vocally (well, in terms of gaming), so it's interesting to see it happen in this manga. His confusion over how Termina characters resemble Hyrule characters gave me a chuckle, because he gets surprised each time he encounters someone.

And another favorite thing is how the Kafei/Anju thing was used. In the game, despite it being a "sidequest," it's one of the most elaborate ones in the game, as it requires you to at least have access to each of the for main dungeon locations, as well as do certain events at certain times. While the manga version is by no means 100% accurate to the game, it was used well, and now portrayed them as meaningful main characters.

Also, Fierce Deity Link. Gotta love the badarse that he is.

With that said, a pretty good manga, one that you should definitely pick up. This journal ended up being more of a review than the one for volume 2, but still, there ya go.

Volumes 4 and 5 are about the Oracle Of Seasons/Ages storylines, so I'm not entirely sure if I'll want to check those out, but if I gain interest in them that'll be on my list. In fact, I think volume 4 should be out this month...

This is just a warning: Apparently, someone has gotten to yet another episode before its official release, "Predacons Rising." No, I'm not writing a synopsis if it's actually been leaked in full. At this point, I just have to say no.

It was exciting when "Where Is Thy Sting" leaked, and even more so when "Five Servos Of Doom" was out. But after watching those two, which practically leaked one after another, we (the ones who watched them) have had to wait two weeks for those episodes to air before we could get a new episode. And now, it's only been a couple of days since we finally got past the leaks, and already we are brought right back into it.

At this point, I'm avoiding the episode leak. It's just too much. I would advise you guys do the same. I know you've probably heard the "Respect the people who made it and watch it when it airs" speech, but in this case... Just wait for it if you want to enjoy it with the world, okay? I've been on the side of the spoiled with the previous leaks, and let me tell you, it's limited fun when you know people who are trying to avoid spoilers.

I'm not showing any hate towards those kind of people, I'm just saying... If you enjoyed said leaks to the point where you wanna share your excitement with others, you'll probably know people who don't want to be spoiled. It just kind of makes me feel bad when I can't share happiness.

So, with that said... Let's enjoy these episodes when they air officially, right?

Hopefully this wasn't a waste of time to write.

I didn't expect THIS movie to get the treatment. According to what I've read elsewhere, it'll air in select US theaters as always, on April 29th (subbed) and April 30th (dubbed.) I'm gonna have to order tickets to see the dub! I haven't even seen the movie yet, so this gives me a fresh take on the film.

[link]
In honor of April Fools, Derrick Wyatt (artist and designer of TFA) posted an image full of new characters, and wants people to guess which will cameo in the show. XD I really love the image, it's full of so many great designs. Most notably are the possible Mario Bros. reference in the plumber-bots.

For those who haven't caught on; Rodimus' alt. mode is there because we haven't seen his alt. mode yet, and Shockwave is there because... he's purple now. Popular theory is that he was grey so he could disguise himself as Longarm.

As for the rest, this is a list of the characters, from left to right;
Rodimus (alt. mode)
Sky Garry
Grandus
Animated Personality Vangelus (yes, ~Vangelus!)
Huffer
Pipes
Botanica
Tap-Out
Zaur
Slapper
Sundor
Flip-Sides
Shockwave (true colors)

Personally, I'd believe Shockwave showing up in his classic colors. The plumber-bots (as they've been called) could be in the background. Grandus has apparently been confirmed to not only show up, but to have a speaking role. Flip-Sides -may- be possible. Tap-Out is another background guy. Sky Garry had a technical cameo in "Five Servos As Doom" as his helmet was briefly shown. And of course, I demand a Vangelus cameo just because it's hilarious and an actual fan cameo!

Also, for those who are interested, he's also updated with larger images of Vangelus and Flip-Sides;
[link]
[link]

Of all the pranks I've seen for April 1st, this is my favorite.
