Message to all the fans of Elfies-World!

Hello dear fan of the Elfies-World,

I am sorry for the general email I have to send you, but sadly because of the INCREDIBLE amount of the emails (and emails with the same question) I receive every day I had to make it to be able to reply to each of you.

I am glad you enjoy my art and signature making, when I made my decision of going ÂfreeÂ some time ago I hoped it will give you a freedom to create new things and designs for your own usage. Sadly MSN changing their rules of ÂnudityÂ brought me a thousands of emails with questions about considering things as: creating a separate website or gallery without nude art, taking away a nude art from my gallery, giving permission to create a tags without link to my site and so on.

My answer will be NO. And this will be the same answer to everybody.

My art is a huge part of me, it is my expression and my view on the world around me. I will not be changing my gallery and taking the part of my art away because of the rules on the different website. I will not be giving a different permissions from user to user as well simply because rules are the same and they stays the same to everybody who want to use my art for creating a signature tags.

I hope you understand my decisions.

Â This is something special... every time I think OKAY all the day ahead of me, I will be able to do everything I planned... yeah right. Batteries stop working in the camera, glue is nowhere to find..... and sun........oh yeah.....out, in, rainy, sunny again.... can you imagine me running in and out with a camera, boxes, cameos and than running to the different direction.......ARRRRRRR........ paper flying away, trying to catch it and I need to start all over again........

SO yep..........its life.............so no tattoes and transfers listed today as I AM DRAINED!!!!! Hopefully (shhhhh to all who planning anything opposite over there upstairs!!!) Sunday.....

Actually it was a great experience for me - to paint online. I thought I would pick up some very short simple fast done painting in watercolor just to give you an idea how it all works for me.... and you also could pick up some of our music choice on the background AHAHA......

Mary had a little lamb....

You know.... I have it with frames and songs........

Couple of days ago in one of the antique shops I saw a set of 3 tiny frames.... they were not really something extra ordinary but while looking at them I started to hear the song in my head...."Mary had a little lamb...." Yep, you may be laughing but this is the influence frames have on me sometimes. I look at some of them and I know there are already painting sitting inside. I know some of the sculptors have it with a stone - they swear they can already see the creation that is sitting inside it. I think I have the same with frames sometimes. It seems that some of them almost have already a painting hidden inside them and you just need to paint it out , so yes, I picked up the frames and painting tiny tiny (they are really SUPER tiny) triptich with a little lambs

You know what I also noticed? Probably because music is also huge part of my life (it is always playing when I am painting, in our car, while working in the garden..... even my daughter calls Melody! LOL) big part of my paintings also named after songs.... you didnt noticed? Look....

Tick-tock! LE Wall clocks and....

Not for nothing I am still stuck with "4 minutes" song....

Yep, wall clocks are magically fitting the song I posted in a previous entry LOL... and no it wasnt planned, so I guess this is one ofÂ the "synchronical happenings" again.Â

This item is a very special and VERY Limited Edition. There will be only 12 clocks made. Each clock will carry a different painting and each clock will not be duplicated. Clocks are signed on the back and of course coming together with certificate of authenticity. They are pretty mini wall clocks of only 4.5 inch in diameter - which means it will fit even a very small room.

Two of the Mini Wall clocks are placed in my Ebay shop and one of them are running right now on the auction from the price of only 5$!

The rest of the clocks will be slowly added later.......

It seems I am finally updated my deviantart subscribtion, wooohooo!. I am working on several comissions in the same time and got another one todayÂ so I am trying to be fast. Which also reminds me that prices for the COMISSIONS will be raised from the next week! So hurry up if you still want to catch them on a recent prices.

But now lets move to the nice news ....

First of all several licensing contracts was signed last week and several of them are in a signing right now....so things are moving forward One of the contracts is with Pacific Trading and I am truly looking forward of what images they are going to choose, with my big gallery I am truly curious LOL

AND as already promised - real special Belgium Chocolates will be released next week .... yep, for all who still didnt tried a REAL Belgium chocolate should definately do so - I still will be posting a real updated with photos and item description. Boxes and packing are looking gorgeous so far!

Yep, after almost year of not listing any comissioned art on Ebay I thought I would give a chance for my fans or consider it as an "easter present". First of all thank you so much for your warm comments! I truly appreciate it from all my heart.

Please understand that my decision was made NOT because of the bad experience with my licensing company but because I FELT and I BELIEVE it was the most right thing to do. I came far thanks to my fans and this is a way to show my gratitude and appreciation. Thank you for your support, for your wonderful emails and for keeping up with me all this time. Thank you for buying my art or my prints because it is my bread on the table for me and my kids and this what keeps me able to give some things for free as well, please dont forget about it. If once a year you will be able to buy something from Elfies-World - it what will keep me able to give more. Please be respectful while using my art, the same way as you would treat your own creation. I am truly looking forward for a long road of working with you all, so just dont forget simple things I am asking for. Please notify me when you know that somebody using my art in a wrong way - thank you for all who has been "watching out" for me always. If you would like that your tags, websets or other creations will be shown on my website on the Fans section - just send me an email and I will be glad to do so. Attention for all the makers and creators!!!

After long consideration and personal thoughts I finally decided to end my contract with International Illustrator. Email to them already has been sended couple of days ago. There are for now only 15 images that licensed to this company so you will need to send me an email anyway before making anything to ask which ones not to use for now.

I guess I grew up somewhere and I have a different views after being "on market" for about 3 years as a serious professional artist. Some things evaluated in my perception and some are got on a lower level.

It is important for me now:

- To keep creating from my heart.
- To be the best in what I am doing.
- To go further with understanding that you should be no less good in business than you are in your art.
- To be recognisable no matter when and where you see my creation.
- To allow things that used for NON PROFIT basis to be FREE for people that do that.

Models needed!!!

I think the last time when I requested a models was about two years ago...

So now here I am with a new request MODELS NEEDED!

Remember the calendar with a Goddesses? - (you can find it in my works on Deviant art here as well). These beautiful faces of the goddesses are all real people and friends. This calendar is sadly sold out completely (I even dont have a copy for myself...)

So what it is about now.... I am already slowly preparing my next calendar for 2008 (simply because it is LOTS of work) and I would like this one to be digital art related for a matter of change. This calendar will be Wicca/Pagan/Witchy/Nature related and this is what I need.

1. Good clear photographs of the face (it cane be profile as well).
2. I would like photographs with some expression....... let it be anger, sadness, joy, happiness, gentle smile, but try to make it alive as much as possible.
3. I dont have any specifical preferences - EACH one of you is beautiful.
4. I need 12 people in total - so try to hurry up.
5. You understand and agree that your face will be used in this calendar which will be publicated.
6. Each accepted participant will recieve mini print + 3 ACEO prints of finished painting.

Elfies-World is holding a NEW YEAR competition to all of our fans. Everybody is welcome to participate but you are required to follow couple of simple rules. This competition has 3 very special prizes which you can see on the photos.

What is competition is about

Competition is about creating a best promotional campaign for Elfies-World (or for the art of Maria van Bruggen). How? This will be your choice and your imagination. You will need to come up with something very special and original - that also will be something realistic of course and will be useful for Elfies-World.
