School's FINALLY starting up again, so that means I'll be taking lots of art classes (hopefully!) and making lots of art (hopefully!) which i will (hopefully!) manage to submit in a timely manner.

I did experience a major setback however... my right hand's been almost entirely immobilized for the past couple of months in an attempt to circumvent carpel tunnel. Kinda hard to draw when your wrist cant move!

But now it seems everything will work out just fine and dandy.


I'm getting back to work on my window that I promised everyone about 3 months ago (and come to think of it, that monster as at least partly responsible for my wrist issues!) so (hopefully!) you'll be seeing that up asap!

So i haven't uploaded in a billion years--terribly sorry, but life got in the way.


I'm going to try to work and upload semi-regularly now that things are back on track, assuming i don't die again anytime soon.

Since then:

I have a "real" job -- Visitant Detritus Eradication Engineer...arlight, so i'm a professional picker-uper Day Custodian at Disneyland This allows me to establish some semblance of a social life and support my retarded addictions (i.e. jamba juice power macha green tea smoothies, Malificent paraphanelia, shoes and manga).

i recently recovered from a terribly irritating bout of tendonitis from my wrist to my elbow (via the picking), which is the main reason i've been out of comission for the past 3 months.

The other 11 or so are due to the fact that School eats my face.

I bought a new computer (YAY for MONEY!), my super-sexy 17" powerbook G4 (yes...i converted to apple)

I'm addicted to Fall Out Boy.

Boys suck.

Blisters suck more.

I need to stop eating and start sleeping...now.

did any of y'all catch the Avatar premeir today?

it was AWESOME!
granted the flaws inherent in americanized anime on kid-based american station (lots of info cramed in short frame for sake of story progression and time, ocassionally corny / slightly clichequed dialogue, etc), it ROCKED! I love the story and the elemental treatments...and who doesn't love a big lummoxy 6-footed flying bison? STUPID PEOPLE, that's WHO!

It's a total trip...kinda like a weird melding of Alchemist, Naruto and Totoro...very fun if you can see past the obvious contraints of a kiddie station

man it's been raining like something CRAZY! We had water damage in the hall for the first time today...my dad laid out these big giant forced-air fans to help dry it out. It's fun to stand in front and be blasted by air! (cheap intertainment for a penny-pinching prude )

lesse what else...oh yeah, i haven't been submitting because i haven't been producing CRAP! Alot of time has been allocated for the eating, sleeping and television observing, in addition to learning how to draw like a real person. Quite an adventurous lifestyle, believe you me.

And i think i have an ingrown toenail...so not looking forward to the inevitable doctor visit and the subsequent toe-cutting that is sure to insue. YAY!

People really seem to like my blood for some reason.
Had another test on friday, and the freaks sucked 12 viles outta me, and left the most outrageous bruise going all up my arm...my freaking RIGHT arm, which I use constantly, so the bruise gets bigger.

...YUCK!

I haven't submitted because i'm a looser.

I can't color to save my life. I have lots of linework laying around, all bearing the pitiful scars of my lame colouring sickness...for which there seems to be no cure *cries for shame*

School starts on tuesday...YAY!

OOOH! new TT tonite....was so EXCELLENT!
AQUALAAAAAAD is so hot...especially when he's being evil *drools*. I really wish they'd make a decent figure for me to moles--er, admire.

Last night. I had. The. MOST $&@KING PAINFUL EXPERIENCE. of. My. ETIRE LIFE.

Alright. so i've told all of you before about my freaky chest problem. My specialist officially diagnosed me with chostocondritis in my 3rd rib, which is a sort of cartilige virus. I was supposed to go see another doctor friday about getting a steriod injection. WEE!

Well, last night, it got to the point where it hurt to breath. Call the doc, he says "go to emergency!". FUN!

So my mom takes me to the emergency room. After about a 2 hour wait, i get into the table. Another half hour of song and dance goes by because no one could figure out what to do with me, due to the abscence of my specialist's notes. WOOP!

FINALLY someone gets a hold of the specialist's partner, and he directs every one. I got to watch them set up for the shot.

The sirynge, i kid you not, was 1 freaking inch in diamter, filled with about 3 inches of medicine. and the needle. LORD the need....was HUGE..and LONG! SCARY!

So the guy who's doing the injection pokes around a bit and determins that not one, but TWO ribs need poking. YAY!

so they hold me down on the table, i grab my mom's hand, and the doc goes at it. It'll only sting for a minute, he says. uh....YEAH RIGHT!

I cannot even begin to describe to you the miraculous amount of pain that was involved in this process. Not only did it sting like a MOTHER, but he poked around in like, 8 different spots for EACH RIB. It FUCKING HURT!

I sort of went into shock afterwards. Shaking like a freaking mother and bawling like there's no tommorow. GREAT FUN!

It was werid when i got home, because my whole left side and arm were COMPLETELY numb.

And that was my lovely yesterday!
i just wanted to share it with all of you, my dear, sweet, sympathetic buddies of DA

I also went to my specialist on monday. He's convinced my rib cartilidge is wacky. next step? another specialist!

I was in the store with my dad and bro. My dad's all like, "i want some cadbury cream eggs!", so my bro and i set off to go find some. We get to the dairy ilse and encounter two guys in tuxedos. They break out into song and dance. It was a very clever song...and dance...and somehow they managed to marry each other at the end. Then they go prancing off. My bro and i are like "ooookay...", and proceed to look for cadbury cream eggs. Alluvasudden, Jack Sparrow comes slauntering down the isle, followed closely behind by Legolas. Jack comes up to me and is like, "hey mel!" and i'm like, "yo, Jack". He says "I'm gonna get some RUM!", and Legolas kinda taps him and says, "Dude, you already had rum", after which Jack says to me "i HAD some rum". Then Jack says "i'm going home" and turns away. Legolas kinda grabs his arm and is like, "dud, you okay to drive?". Jack kinda turns and looks at us all sarcastically and lets out a sarcastic "uh...yeah?", and slaunters off. Legolas looks at me and kinda shakes his head, then goes tearing off after Jack.

I've been gone an exceptionally long time though...aside from the quite normal bit of laziness and lame excuses, i've been out on medical
I've been seeing all kinds of fun doctors *sarcasm sarcasm*, and getting all kinds of fun blood drawn *sarcasm sarcasm*.
The doc seems to think i have some sort of virus in the cartilidge of my chest wall or the tissue of my heart wall.
Nothing life threatening so far I'll keep you updated.

hmm...other than that, english, japanese and anime club have been eating my face...so much to do, so little sleep...you all from Troy know the deal .

OOOH! i had this really awesome dream last night.
Basically, i was like, a female Serge, living out a LIVE ACTION version of the evvents in Chrono Cross. I spent some quality time with Glenn in all his sex-god glory...mmm mm yes...I think i was going through trying to disprove the scripted ending of the game. Like, doing everything differently just to mess with the system and piss the bad guys off. at one point, there was a battle in Janice's ring . I had to fight three ppl to get the last pice of something to complete some portal. The first guy was um...goku? the second guy was really strong. I kicked him. the last one was like...goku's mom in Janice's suite...and she forfitted...it was strange...i woke up RIGHT when i got the Cross and was going to go beat the big Bad. God damn alarms and heat deprived cats.

My vet says i should be a Vet. I helped remove like, an ounce of yummy yellowbrowngreen puss from my cat's face. It was not pretty. Demo, i saved about 300 bucks in vet costs. HAPPY!

House of Sand and Fog is a very uh...dark movie. I thought it was brilliantly executed, but if your in the mood for a light, brainless flick--or happen to be neurotically manic depressive--i do not reccomend it to you. in fact, stay far away. FAR. AWAY.

...i liked it, can you tell?

It was ultra stylized and very well done. MUCH better adaptation of the orriginal story ...though not perfect...it's better than the spawn of evil Disney birthed. The actors were darling and did a great job. i. just.....LOVE!

I love scarves. they make yoru neck warm. and feel nice.

It's very late and i haven't slept more than 4 hours at a time all week.
The bags under my eyes are a kind of trophie. It's sick when we have eye-bag competitions at school. twisted.

I need this break. Despirately. i want to sleep for 12 hours straight!

My lil brother's day care centerorsomethinorother's christmas uh..play? was today. It is very amusing when toddlers dance ballet. It very painful to listen to off-key children scream-sing. It is also very sad to see your sibling wear a pig hat on stage. I felt for him. Sorta. He's been a butthead lately, so maybe more of the sorta.

SUBWAY SUCKS! NEVER EAT THERE! THE PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE A FREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKING SANDWITCH!

...you'll understand what i mean when you have to wait 20 mintues for a sandwtich because yoru server is incompetent and takes his damn sweet time. dunno bout you, but that bothers me.

I stayed up really late again last night. bad mel.

Kevin makes me feel so happy when i'm sad. it's nice.

Banack is so patient...he spend 2 hours walking me through math analysis crap. I understood! Come test time though...YUCK!

I absolutely do not feel motivated today. At all.
SCHOOL SUCKS!
I hate government...and find it so amusing...but hate the work. THERE'S SO MUCH FREAKING WORK!

I relax for one weekend and the entire world decides to bite me in the ass on monday.

Math Analysis. I don't EVEN want to think about it!
