        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Muscular Dystrophy, refers to a group of genetic diseases that negatively affect and cause progressive weakness and degeneration of the skeletal and voluntary muscles.<br /><br />The syndrome was first noted by Conte and Gioja in 1836, who described symptoms of progressive muscle weakening, and general weakness in a group of boys. The disorder was officially named after French neurologist Guillaume Duchenne, in 1868, when he described the symptoms of 13 patients with the disorder, and due to his work in the field, one of the most severe and classic forms of Muscular Dystrophy is named after him.<br /><br />Statistically, Duchenne and Becker Muscular Dystrophy af ]]></media:text>

Its a communication with one's senses in one way or another - it can be natural or paranormal or totally devoid of any feeling or sentiment.<br /><br />For others, religious theory is very much interconnected with their personal spiritual experiences.<br /><br />For me, its something I've just started thinking about - so in other words, its in development. ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ I recently uploaded an artwork in the fan art category called Cartoon Coca-Cola.<br /><br />And a comment on the piece, really tickled my imagination and resulted in a creativity burst in my mind.<br /><br />The viewer commented: "it's coca cola doing the splits".<br /><br />And when viewed in a surrealistic, abstract context; the elements next to the coca-cola can,  extend themselves to a point where they look like they are part of the can - so it really does seem as if the Coca-Cola can is doing the splits.<br /><br />This creativity burst spawned a whole new surreal, abstract Coca-Cola art series which can be viewed in its entirety on my Flickr photostream.<br />http://www.flickr.co ]]></media:text>

Initially, it was a holiday that originated from the Christian calendar, honoring St Valentine, a man who refused to denounce his devotion and dedication to his faith.<br /><br />The traditional idea of love - is very reminiscent of St Valentine's story.  An unwavering emotion, a deep connection and link to another person that is steady and all consuming, and filled with warmth and intensity.<br /><br />I always thought I was incapable of this kind of attachment, that I was too cynical to fall in love or love others in this way.<br /><br />Eventually I realized that while I don' ]]></media:text>

        <media:text type="html"><![CDATA[ Well this is part 2 of my series.<br /><br />Its a new year and I've decided not to make New Year's resolutions in the traditional way, instead I've resolved to do something I usually do -  in a different way.<br /><br />So for example if I open GIMP and usually only use one type of gradient setting, this year I'm trying other settings, and experimenting with new filter parameters.<br /><br />So if I add all the little changes up by the end of 2012 -  I will still be the same person fundamentally but the cumulative effect of these changes would have resulted in the same person with a different outlook, perspective and pattern of life.<br /><br />This journal contains the rest of my ]]></media:text>

But thank you so much to everybody who voted.<br /><br />As for the presentation I got a little bit of stage fright but it still went fairly well since they did ask how I made the graphics,  they loved the graphics so I got to speak about GIMP and all the plugins and GMIC especially which was strange - speaking about GIMP at Microsoft Developer Idols, albeit unintentionally.<br /><br />:-)<br /><br />It was very interesting hearing from Microsoft South Africa and some of the Microsoft Developers from Redmond and attending all the talks.<br /><br />They spoke about how Excel and Excel Services would be driving a lot of the BI from now on  ]]></media:text>
