cradled in wings of love
soflty brushing against this damaged, desolate heart.
To be held so by an angel...
what indescribable joy!

Spasms of fear!
Must fight against the small blue flame
flickering hope in a ravaged soul.
Flail, scream, run, strike out, hide, tremble
Cannot let those tender wings
rend such hard-earned defenses.

Pitch black silence
not just falling into the abyss, but plummeting
back to the nothingness
of a ravaged soul, disintergrating.
decimating any vestiges of the cradling wings,
of my angel's love.

Echos spiraling in pursuit
forever fading, mocking the blue flame, ridiculing,
crushing, jeering the eternal question...
were they all right? do they see what I can't?
am I unworthy

don't rhyme. the rhyme you have here is unoriginal and only seeks to restrict your poetry. freeverse is STRONGLY suggested for new poets because of its focus on technique rather than rhyme. rhyme does not instantly classify a piece of literature as "poetry". prose can be written with rhyme and it will still be prose.

use punctuation. punctuation regulates the flow of a poem, line breaks do not mean the reader takes a breath. full stops and commas and colons and semi colons and periods do. ellipsises does not signify a long pause, an ellipsis (...) is used to describe "etc etc". a period (-) is used for long pauses.

detach yourself more from this piece so that you can gain a critical perspective of your own poem. this is so that you can edit it yourself so that critics wont have to go through basic things such as dotting "i"s and crossing "t"s, also to make for a better reading experience

more showing less telling. you are just telling people how you feel. poetry is about showing how you feel, you need to be more articulate and creative in your method of communication rather than the factual "i felt this, then i felt this". use something like "passion burned in me like a fire" or "the fire of passion burnt within me", except not as cliche and more original. good poetry is dependant on originality.

the comments you have so far dont help you in any way besides to bloat your ego. saying it is good without a reason is like your ego masturbating itself to a brick wall. when you have a comment which defines what they think is good then you have deserved it, because the reader paid enough attention to your effort.

use a journal or talk to your friends, or talk to someone who will make you feel better rather than get pointless "omg i feel sorry for you" comments because it will only drag you deeper into "depression".

overall if you decide to continue writing, i strongly suggest you ask yourself 3 questions

why do you write?
who do you write for?
does posting on dA help you in any way besides making you feel better about yourself?

Well i have been doing a lot of work with my knee and i can put my weight on it now!!! I am doing my best to walk as much as i can so the mscle will actually be muscle again!!! Its strange how fast muscle dies and turns in to mush... I will continue to keep you updated on my knee!!!
