If you're the sort of person who saves these, I'd suggest waiting a while, because it always takes a few days and re-reads to catch all the typos.  Something about the formatting changes makes it easier to spot the mistakes that you've been reading and re-reading for months.  I already fixed it three times since I posted it 45 minutes ago.

My Dad, whose computer experience dates back to Magnetic Core memory (Seriously, he worked on a computer we saw on display in the Smithsonian) told me a story about attempts on a early Russian-English translation system.  They fed it a common English phrase, "Out of sight, out of mind", and got a Russian translation, and then to test the accuracy, ran it back through the other way.  The result?  "Invisible Idiot".

They mean it to be a compliment, but I want to say to these guys "Gee, imagine saying 'I normally hate black guys, but you seem really cool' and see how far that gets you, or 'You know, I normally think cheerleaders are stupid, but I'd like to go out with you.'"

Face it, these comments start with an insult, and then fail to make up for it.  "You suck, but this isn't too bad."

Over in my scraps there are two more bits of Dr. Mauser.  A character list (Which may grow over time) and the script for a little semi-visual story.

And yet to come, a story more focused on Infinity and the trouble she gets herself into.  You'll never think of Bollards the same way again. (Look it up).

Working on it in e-mail was fun.  It brought me back to my old BBS days where I participated in a lot of storyboards, the KAOS Saga on KAOS, The Galaxy Local 999/Dining Car on The Electric Holt, and a storyboard with no name on a Drexel BBS.  There was something about the pressure of limited resources, and the blinking modem lights and the danger of getting disconnected and losing it all that really kicks the typing and creativity into high gear.

First, I've made myself a little avatar logo.  That's a Mauser Broomhandle pistol,   Of course, it's not a TRUE Mauser model 712.  That was the full-auto version made in 1912.  I can't own one in this liberal fascist state, even if I did pass the federal screening.  Actually, I don't own a C-96 model either, or a "Bolo", or even a cheap Chinese copy. *snif!*.

I mean, here's an idea that's been kicking around in my mind lately.  I'd like to Bash together Logan's Run and Ergo Proxy, and use Re-L Meyer in the role of a Sandman (With a slight air of "Why am I here?")

There are three images that come to mind.  Re-L in the interrogation chair at the end saying "There is no sanctuary".  The second would be her shooting Vincent with a Sandman Homer, and the third would be her looking quizzically at the blinking red star on her palm.
