I'm actually....ready for it. Though I'm now going as Namine instead of Hojo for several reasons.

1 - My hair won't go Hojo on me. My hair is quite like Namine's.
2 - No shoes for Hojo. Passable shoes for Nam.
3 - Bez JUST HAPPENED to have a white summerdress in my size she didn't want.

Bez is currently my favourite person

So this afternoon I spent two hours watching Pride and Prejudice and turning a v necked dress with spaghetti straps into a straight across with thick straps.

YAY

Also, because I had nothing better to do, I copied some of the drawings in her room into my sketchbook as a prop. That was a labour of love as that room creeps me out ¬¬

Now I'm not so panicky about the whole expo seeing as costume is DONE, although I might take the dress in a bit (if I can work how to feasibly do that, as it's got a zip up the side so I can't really do much there) so it's a bit more fitted like hers is.

Life is generally being manageable, which is great, though also half term = v big drain on teh cash front. Woe. Though yay.

OMG EXPO! Yay! Hopefully convincing more people to go! Don't wanna be the only one in mah group in cosplay

Speaking of Cosplay...Lucrecia has currently...died. As in I never got round to making that costume. So Hojo it is. Though I don't actually have everything I need for that. Nothing too onerous, but stuff I'll probs forget about.

-Shoes. I saw some PERFECT (budget-wise) ones in Primark but they didn't have my size

Hair....yeah. That's going to be hell. I mean, everything else is not aaaassss necessary, but the hair. Ah. I can't get it to work so great, and can't afford wig. Suspect shall have to suck up to friends.

In other news, I’ve started writing fic again! Yay! The plot bunnies died over the summer hols, but now they’re back in full force (to think I actually missed them)! The trouble is they’re for NEW fics, not the ones I want to finish damnit.

I did manage to finish one this week, and all it needs is a last onceover by me as it’s been ripped apart by my LOVELY team of betas.

So. Two weeks into Sixth Form. And the work load is sort of killing me.
But that's because I'm an idiot and am doing five subjects. And trying to see the BF as much as possible before he departs for Uni next week (much alas). Hormones were pretty whacked last week which didn't help matters of life, but yaywoo back to normal now me hopes.

Josie randomly turned up at school on friday, which was brilliant, as the Coven hasn't healed its Josie-shaped hole yet. I also got to see Sarah and Chloe who I deeply miss(JANE HINT DROP BY SCHOOL WE MISS YOU HINT). I spent the evening with the latter two and Kate, until Chloe abandoned us for cooler people in London.

Lessons.
Yeah.

-I love Classical Civilisations. It's epic.
-Geography is Geography. IE bores me to tears but piss easy. So far it's the only lesson I can actually tune out in and it not matter. I sit next to Charlie Bez in it, so no work gets done anyway.
-Physics.....actually makes sense. Am surprised. And suspicious. Like hell it'll last like that, though we are learning about chocolate with Bride, and Barwell gives us Story Time (think: slightly Yorkshire accent teacher reading in a robotic camp american voice).
-Biology is half WTF. The heart makes sense because it's a pump. Fin. Lungs is sheer wtf, but that's because it's microscopy, which is looking at cubist artwork whilst squinting. And PROTEINS DEAR GOD PROTEINS. I actually had compare the structure of proteins to the Crucible from Dr Who for it to make sense. THAT'S HOW DESPERATE I WAS.

And Chemistry. WTF. So WTF it deserves its own paragraph.

Ok, so I'm good at maths. And I'm good at science. And Chem practicals. But Chemistry theory (which is basically all maths)? WHAT THE FUCK. DO NOT GET *cries*. But I can't drop it, because the ONE thing every single bloody course worth being on wants Chemistry.
So I'm just praying that it's going to get easier as I "adjust the jump up to a higher ability level".

Italy was...nice, I guess. There really wasn't anything for me to do, so I was constantly reading, which is usually nice, but I'd like to CHOOSE to read constantly than do it cause there's nothing else to do. And there was no one there who was English/my age until two days before we left, and they were chavs. Oh, and serious lack of Internet and some sort of game console was a biggish blow. And I started to miss all the people who NO LONGER GO TO BHS AND SO I'LL SEE LESS OF Still feeling pretty lonely (which is pretty rare, for me), as everyone else is still abroad.

On the plus side, OMG I HAVE A TAN!!! This is srsly epic. I take forever to tan, and, seeing as I'm basically bleach white to start with, I'm now the colour that everyone else is naturally! Wooo!

Lol, while abroad, I actually thought of half decent things to write in that Write 8 things about you meme. I come home, and look, Roo's tagged me again...and I've forgotten all of them. Bugger that.

In other news, am still in shock that OMGWTFBBQ I have a lovelife. I mean, I have less of a social life than that of a squashed pea. So much so that when I tentitively changed my srsly outdated and abandoned/ignored Facebook to "In a relationship" I'm immeadiately pounced on. Those who I've actually told are also annoyingly surprised.

Also, Wall-E is brilliant. Go see. I mean, the Obligatory Pixar Short at the beginning is worth the price of the cinema ticket.

So work experience is....interesting.

Well, no. Not really.

Some days I'm archiving finds, which is DULL, but actually quite informative. I can now tell the difference between Roman, prehistoric and saxon pottery chunks now, biatches.

It also gives me enough knowledge to TOTALLY LOVE how inaccurate Bonekickers is. But I'll watch it anyway. For the Lulz. And The Spirit of Brian runs through it. Brian being my weird supervisor who is....crabby. Very crabby.

So, when I'm not stuck in the freezing, dark dusty shack known as The Store, I've been doing a shit load of rather redundant admin (which sucks) and taking workshops at the villa for school children.

Basically, I get to shout at bratty kids all day and then arse around with James (co-worker/volunteer) talking about Dr Who and attempting to play Crisis Core. The former also includes drumming out the Master's drum beat all. day. long. to the utter confusion of our bosses. The latter because James is a kind soul and lent me his PSP. YAY.

Tomorrow I'm going to some Anthropology Day thing. I'm not as excited about it as I was, because even though I booked a place and had it confirmed in April, they STILL haven't sent me the details of the workshops available. Which fucking sucks, cause the form had to be returned by June 10th.

Bastards.

So I'm probably going to be shoved in the activities I don't wanna do but oh well. Promised to bug James via text if/when I got bored, poor him.


Also, the "not quite sure what's memories, what's dreams" thing has kicked in again. But seeing as I texted Kate MINUTES AFTER IT HAPPENED, I'm pretty sure I have proof that I didn't go looney, which is always nice to know

To put it simply, this week was fantastic.

Monday – after the last exam (40 mins of Biology), The Usual Gang (+Lauren’s Boyfriend, who I hadn’t met before but had seen pictures of. The first thing I said to him was “I thought you’d be taller”. Go my people skills) went up to London, though we weren’t all doing the same thing once we got there. Tashie and Sarah are FINALLY overcoming their addiction to Topshop, which is great, but meant we had a lot more time to kill than planned. Toddled over to Ping Pong and ate way too much, and therefore cost a fortune. After that, we wandered – without getting lost for once – to Leister Square, where we totally failed to agree on a movie to go watch. So we sat in a café and ate ice cream XD.
CRISIS CORE CAME YAY.

Tuesday – (Rowan) is having a fancy dress party with the theme of “characters from your childhood”, so (Nicole), my Charlii and I are going as Powerpuff Girls for simple reasons such as joint lack of bank account and/or sewing skill. We’d set ourselves up for a day of trawling round Bromley looking for some vaaaaaguely accurate clothes to use for our costumes….

We found everything in Primark in less than 20 minutes. O.o

So we spent about an hour sitting on the floor of Waterstones near the manga/sci-fi section talking and reading.

After a lunch of McDonald’s, Nicole had to go, so Charlii and I wandered round the park, which was nice.

Wednesday – nothing interesting happened except my frantic searching for all my lost textbooks.

Thursday – did nothing in the morning except some more frantic searching and tidying, as room was utter disaster zone. To make up for the fact that I haven’t been able to spend much time with my Charlii recently, we went for a meal to celebrate end of exams, and afterwards she stayed the night. Which was epic, and totally worth not getting enough sleep for. Unfortunately, Charlii was also sleep deprived from not getting much/any sleep the night before that, so was feeling ill for most of Friday, which made me sad L

Friday – LAST DAY OF YR 11!!! It was a good day on the whole, but dashing round to find all the teachers to return books to was hootttt work. General admin things such as the giving out of holiday homework. URGH. I also got my book list for my Classics course, but it’s not actually made clear which books I’ll have to buy, and which I’ll be loaned, which is a bugger.

We were also given our timetables, which of course provoked much squealing/whining/celebrating etc. Good news: I have practically all my frees with Claudia, and I think quite a lot with Nicole, who I think is the only other person dumb enough to think that taking all three sciences was a Good Idea. Bad news: I have barely any lessons and no frees with Charlii, which also makes me v sad L

Finally, we were given our tablets. The idea is that we’ll use them for notetaking. The reality is that the handwriting recognition thing only works 100% accurately if you have perfectly neat handwriting, and there’s only a limited space to write in. Meaning you won’t be able to write stuff in quick enough.
They are, however, immensely fun to play with. I predict many a game of hangman and noughts and crosses.

We also had to sort out who we’d like to be in a form with (as in choosing 3 people we really really want to be with). This sort of didn’t work out so well. There are about 15 in a form, and as there was a group of 12 of us who wanted to be together, we asked if we could just set it as us lot, it’s close enough. We were told “no”, for reasons such as “to mix you all up”. This didn’t make much sense as we had a few people from each form all mixed in. I then joked that we’ll just rebel and call ourselves our own form anyway. (Janey) then dubbed us “12 F”. F standing, of course, for “Fangirl”. And of, it was totally awesome that there were 12 of us for that to work XD.

1)I have a photographic memory and imagination. I'm also a perfectionist. So I get incredibly frustrated and slightly depressed when I can't recreate what's in my head.

2)A while back I had a blood test to check how much iron was in my blood. The scale they use is between 10 and 210 (in whatever units it's supposed to be). They get worried if your iron count falls below 80. Mine was 14.

3)When I found out, I found it hysterical. (I think that it's now gone up to 21 now)

4)I can actually be incredibly shy and self conscious.

6)I really want to cosplay one day, but the actual process of trying to make a costume daunts me greatly.

On a happier note, I FINALLY got round to ordering Three Days Grace CD (which I was supposed to do in March ¬¬ ) and preordering Crisis Core with it's shiny special edition artbook. YAY.

For the record, I don't actually own a PSP. Nor do any of my bribeable friends. And I'm broke (all those trips to Starbucks are adding up¬¬ )
