It was really just something thought up on the spot while I was hanging out with Nadine and Kristy at the SPCA donation thing. The other dude showed up right before we started filming, so he got to be in it too.

Other than that, nothing is new with me really. I didn't get to do anything for halloween, but I didn't mind too much. Considering I just bought Demon's Souls.
Shit. Is. So. CASH.
Srsly, anyone that loves a challenging (like, extremely hard) action rpg, should definitely get this game. And if you hear people saying its a hard game, they aren't kidding. For one, dying is literally part of the gameplay. And for second, when you die, you go all the way back to the start of the level losing all the exp/money you earned, but keeping all items found and used.
So yeah, it can be frustrating. But its totally still fun, no joke.

So yeah! If all things work out the way I hope they do, I'll be back in Vancouver with all my stuff again! Including my computer which was barely out of the box before I crammed it back in for 8 months... bawww

Now for some embarrassing news. I've started listening to Owl City. And the reason I'm embarrassed to admit this (aside from listening to overly cute music) is that I heard Adam's stuff so longggg ago, but I wasn't too impressed. Then a bunch of "indie/scene/whatever" kids were all like "I sure do love me some Owl City!" and I was all like "bah, whatever. Its not my thing" and now I'm totally like "aw shit, this is my jam!"... not really, but its definitely nice chill music to walk to.

So yeah, I thought I'd let you all know I'm moving back home to Vancouver soon and I can't wait! You should be excited too because the animation I was working on ([link]) is on that computer and I can finish it when I get my new place

The only reason I happen to think its interesting is because I recently replayed and beat FF7 on my PS3. I learned two things from doing so... 1. my PS3 is extremely backwards compatible and 2. FF7 really was as great as I remembered.

Also, I haven't really given myself the chance to sit down and draw anything since my last journal. But in my defense, I've been busy with work and small town drama (as usualllll) so I'm sorry, but I'm gunna need more time ;_;

Isn't it funny how just when things are getting good it can all come crashing down around you?... well maybe not so much funny as it is debilitating...

So yeah, things pretty much suck as much as they did a couple weeks ago, if not worse. But what I've found over time is that DA is probably one of the only things that keeps me from being thoroughly depressed. Reading the encouraging messages you guys give me and seeing all the amazing art people make, it just eases the heart and mind. So I wanted to thank you all for keeping me level and to let you know that although I may not feel like drawing at the moment, I'll never stop.
My current project is going to be on pause, obviously, but only until I feel up to the task again... hopefully that'll be soon lol.
I'm sorry things like this happen and keep me from submitting as much as I should... I sincerely hope that things improve soon so I can get on with my life again and work on the things that make me happy.

As it turns out I've been drawing quite a bit lately, and I've finally got my big project underway!! Yayyyy! Too bad its still a secret and I can't tell you what it is! Gafaw!

I'm quite excited right now (if you couldn't already tell) and its because of tomorrow. Yup, tomorrow I'll finally be getting back to Vancouver, but only for a week. But its awesome because not only am I getting a blackberry curve 8900, but because I can finallyyyy pick up my PS3 and bring it here so I have something to do! UGH. I've missed my PS3 so hard you don't even know ;_;

Plus, if things work out, I'll be able to see my friends that I haven't seen in like 7-8 months! Its sad to think its really been that long...

So yeah! Lots of artwork to be expected in the coming days after I'm back from Vancouver.

Apparently I have a high blood pressure, despite not feeling the least bit stressed or anything. I've been having nosebleeds randomly, which is weird because I've NEVER had them before. I'm probably going to Belize now. And I'm moving back to Vancouver asap, and maybe even Kelowna after that depending on how things turn out??? idk.

I'm not totally back yet, but things are looking good!
I just got all the stuff I needed to get my passport processed so I'm heading to a nearby town tomorrow to get it done, and hopefully I'll be in Miami within a month!
So yeah, I should probably announce that I'm planning to take a trip to Miami and I'll be staying there for a month!

McHuggies (its actually MC Huggies though...)
The name came from a little black kid in one of my families in the Sims. He was a rapper named MC Huggies. I loved that name so much I used it for my DA.

Q: Alright boy-o. what do you hope to accomplish with your artistic talent? animation? concept artist? or something else?

A: Well I hope that one day I'll be able to animate a whole bunch of ideas I've had spinning around in my head for the longest time. Some of them are just short animations, others are long series with magical story arches and everything. But I'm going to start off by learning how to draw better... a lot better.

Q: What would you rather have for a hand, crab claw or octopus tentacle?

A: As tempting as performing tentacle rape with my octopus hand sounds, I'd probably go with a crab claw based on practicality. Plus the tentacle would be like all slimy... I'm not comfortable with that ._.

Q: If you could meet anyone, and I mean anyone throughout time, who would it be. You could even say that guy who first made fire. And you could interact with that lone person in any way you wish.

A: Honestly, I'd want to be with my gf (because we're so far apart from each other right now), buuuut people might think thats kind of a cop out so I'd like to go see my great great great grandfather and give him a thumbs up and just be like "yeahhh!"

Q: Most traumatic memory?

A: Uh... maybe the time I got bit by a spider when I was really little? I honestly don't think I have any memories that haunt me enough to be "traumatic". Unless I've suppressed them or something... *boring answer*

Q: I'd like to hear about your favourite type of underwear since it has been brought up.

A: You mean to wear? Because I really don't know. I wear boxers, boxer-briefs, and briefs... they're all comfy in different ways.

Q: I'd like to know when you're going to start that panda farm you've been talking about.

A: I have canceled any and all plans for panda farms henceforth because I wasn't aware of them till now... sorry

Q: Wierdest curiosity? What would you like to know/experience that is not really accepted by the mass/community.

A: I definitely would have to say that I want to know what it'd be like to survive in a city/world overrun by zombies. Thats been a weird fantasy of mine for the longest time.

Q: Do guys use the slit in front of their underwear when they pee, or do they pull the front down?!

A: I can't speak for all guys, but I think most guys pull the front down considering its easier (typical guy rationale). It also depends on the type of underwear you wear as well because there are ones that don't even have an opening in the front. But, again, I can't say all guys don't use it, its likely there are guys that use the opening in the front.

Lately I've been going through some personal issues (finding a place to live, etc) and I don't see a quick solution to these problems so I thought I'd let you guys in on a bit of my life so you don't think I've abandoned DA or anything crazy like that.
I've decided that in order to deal with these issues I should take some time to collect myself and figure things out... meaning I won't be submitting much, if anything, on DA for a bit.
I can't say how long any of this will take, but I promise I'll try to draw whenever I can/feel like it. And hopefully things will improve soon so I can move on with my life and get back to drawing stuff for you guys.

Also, I didn't eat or drink a single thing today which is the first time I've ever done that. And no its not because I'm stressed or depressed or anything, I just didn't get hungry today... I actually feel kind of dizzy, but that might also be from the 3 hours of sleep I got last night.

Oh and I'll still be on DA replying and giving comments btw. So don't worry about that.

I partied for two days straight and spent most of today just recovering.
The only snowboarding I really did was go off a little narrow jump made of ice situated between two huge trees which had a landing comprised of sticks and smaller trees sprouting out of the snow. Needless to say, I didn't land either of my jumps on account of shrubbery attacking my face.

The good news is we had a video camera to record the complete and utter drunken randomness that ensued on our weekend trip to the mountain... unfortunately we did not get any footage of the 4 man GT-ing (4 guys on a single person sled riding at night) including the biggest bail any of us had ever had. But really the memory of that will always remain.

Suffice to say, I had a good weekend

Also, I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow... if it turns out good then I'll be ready for Boca (I'm going to Florida in the next month or so btw). If not, then I'll cry until my hair grows back.

Sorry if its a bit of a long read...

Ok, so something I've had on my mind for a while now is how people become "internet famous" and then "disappear" due mostly to online bullying (lol that still sounds so lame). Its actually kind of sad/scary when you see it happen though.
For anyone that doesn't know what I'm talking about, its basically when a person gets popular on the interweb (youtube especially it seems) and they become subject to some of the internet's biggest assholes. And I'm talking hxc dickheads that set out to ruin your life as much as they can...
A recent example and primary cause for this journal is Boxxy. Now I realize most people here will be like "who???" but essentially, she was just a cute girl that got picked up and chewed alive by the internet's lamest personal army... to the extent of people hacking her youtube, photobucket, phone number, school, and home address.
I mean, how scary is it that you can have literally thousands of people find out all this personal info just because you posted something online that caught the attention of some creepers?

It makes one wonder "is it really worth it?"
And by "it" I mean achieving the status of internet famous. Some would view being internet famous as a good thing seeing as how they can use that popularity to make money, friends, etc. but also because humans by nature do actually strive for attention from others, at least to some extent.
See, I've never had the intent of becoming very popular on DA, or anywhere else for that matter. I just post stuff I like to draw in hopes that it makes people smile or feel good because I know drawing that stuff sure makes me feel happy inside.
But I do have friends online that are quite popular (and no, I will not drop names) and usually what happens with becoming well-known online is you pop up on the radars of people that take advantage of the "anonymous veil of the internet" and get hurt for no reason other than some sadistic coward wants a few lulz.

Admittedly, DA has its drama, but really, its not that bad in comparison. Its mostly bruised egos or art theivery causing artists to feel frustrated or unappreciated. But its still sad all the same when an incredibly skilled artist decides they've had enough and leave.

Now, I'm not claiming the attacks come from one sole place specifically, but from what I've found... \d\ is a horrible place to be well-known lol.
Seriously, with the increase of btards in the last couple of years, its become even worse than its ever been before... which is really saying a lot.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is if you suddenly find yourself in the spotlight online, you better grow some thick skin, if you haven't already, and watch your back. Because the internet can be a scary place.

So yeah, sorry for the lack of activity on DA, but immediately after I moved out of my apartment, I came to my home town to visit family and whatnot. I'm not sure when I'll be back (both on DA and in Vancouver), but chances are it won't be until I find somewhere to live... hopefully that'll be by December.

I was originally going for Akito Wanijima's hairstyle (from Air Gear), but ended up with Akito Sohma's hair (from Fruits Basket), except a little bit shorter.

But yeah, the lady cutting my hair was doing good right up until she grabbed a chunk of hair I was going to grow out and went *CHOP*, pretty much ruining the hairstyle I had in mind.
I was kind of like "UM.... whut are you doing???" and she was all "oh... OH! This isn't what you meant??"
So yeah.

Ok so first of all.
I ordered a custom computer, but one of the parts was out of stock and I didn't find out until after I should've already received the computer... whatever. Then I e-mailed them with the replacement part, but I got no notice or anything about them getting it, even though the payment already went through.
So now I'm heading to one of the stores to sort this mess out, since I should've had a computer like a week ago.

AND AE?
I'm still contemplating whether to go or not... I mean, I'd love to, but going by myself is so laaaaame, and its so far awayyyyy ;_;
Plus, I should start saving money since I'll be moving in another 2 months or so.
But UGH.
I want to look at all the pretty animu.....

I have to work overtime all weekend, which is fine except that I have to get up an hour earlier than normal... boohoo ;_;
Oh! And I did some mo-cap today! For those that don't know what mo-cap (motion capture) is, its that thing where people wear a black outfit with little reflective balls all over it and they perform actions used in games, such as swinging a bat, shooting basketballs, etc.
I can't say much about it other than I got to use replica guns, a sword and shield, and do some cheering/clapping/etc.
It was fun.

So yeah, I've got a lot of things to catch up on, but without the time to work on any of it, I probably won't have much to submit for the next little while.

Um.
I bought the kit which comes with the mic, guitar, and drums, but.... the USB thinger for the guitar is broken.
After one use.

So now I have to send it away and wait 'up to 5 days' for another one.

My only beef with the Wii version, save for the faulty equipment, is that you don't get to make a character. So it plays more like Guitar Hero than the other Rock Bands.
Its not all bad though, I've still got the drums which is fun.
The mic though, is just for karaoke loving azns to do something.
lol jk.
But my azn friend Jose won't let anyone else belt it out...

And as for the artistic aspect of my life, I haven't even so much as touched my tablet since the last pic I submitted.
But to be fair, I've been working and the weather this weekend has been awesome, so I've been outside the whole time.
I've still got some things that need final touches, so if I have time tonight I'll try to finish something.

Also, I have to wait for voice actors to get back to me before I can finish my flash. I'm holding auditions until Sunday, so I'll be able to finish it after then. I'm not too sure how long it'll take me, but with work and whatnot, I probably won't have it done until the Sunday after next.

FOR LIKE THE FIRST TIME IN FOREVAR!
And its already looking pretty decent as well.
But man... what started out as just animating on a whim, with no idea of whats coming next, turned into this big fat project that took all day to conceive.
I gave birth to this massive idea today and now I'm in awe of its awesomeness. Mostly because it got me excited (in the pants) and I came up with everything in a day. Not to mention it all just fit so damn coherently AND its plausible.
I gotta tell you. Sometimes I surprise myself.
This all must sound so stupid, but I haven't slept in some time and I'm sweating for no reason... wheee! sweating

I can't say for sure when this flash I'm currently working on will be finished, but I'll keep you all updated.

Srsly, you can't expect anything from people online... well you can, but you're just going to get frustrated.
I understand exactly what they're saying, but at the same time its like "omg woe is meeee, I have too many people commenting meeee, and none of them understand meeee." If anyone was really fed up with it all, they'd either leave DA or get a new account without telling anyone. Its been done before, its not hard.

Anyway, I guess I got lucky because people that take the time to comment on my stuff usually leave something more meaningful than "I like it". Constructive criticism is great too, but I don't expect it. Believe it or not, there are actually sites specifically used for constructive criticism on pretty much all forms of art.

Which brings up another point. A few friends of mine have asked me why I don't "sellout" and just spew out popular fanart and fav random art like a DA-whore for more pageviews.
First of all, I don't do anything for pageviews. If I wanted pageviews, I could get them. I want my art to earn it. And I'm not trying to sound conceited or anything because I actually think I suck at a lot of things when it comes to drawing/coloring/etc, but I'm working on it.
Secondly, I'm into making actual 'friends' on DA, as opposed to just gathering DA street cred and pretending to be friends with well known artists to make myself feel cool or accepted.

I'm not targeting anyone here, I'm just sort of venting.
And yus, I realize I do fanart, but I do it for me to make me happy because I'm all that matters... lol jk. But yeah, usually my fanart is something fairly obscure or outdated, inspired by random thoughts that make me laugh or just happy in general.

Sorry for the long journal, I'll stop right now before I go on for days.
I'm actually in a pretty good mood right now, despite the bitchy-ness expressed here

So I'm trying to get a job as a game tester...
Its actually more glamorous than it sounds.
But as of right now I'm trying to get a hold of some dude named Dick Brown (no joke...) and once I do, I might finally get my broke ass a job *thumbs up*

Because colds suck.
But I finally got to draw a little today, after not being on my computer for like a week.
Hopefully I'll finish something soon, but I'm going to be busy, so we'll see.

I had a pretty fun weekend with my friends, which involved getting lost in a moving labyrinth of suburbs, drunk bowling, dirty dancing, and building a fort out of blankets and pillows for the "orgy". Because all good orgies need a fort.
The only downside is that we went to sleep at like 5 am and had to get up that morning at 7 am. Oh, and I got sick before going to sleep, so that didn't help.
I get food poisoning like once a month it seems...

Oh yeah. And I bought WOW like a week ago. But I haven't even played it yet. I'm waiting for a certain "someone" to be there when I lose my wow virginity... *shakes fist at that certain someone*... you know who you are.

Of course, I was so deep in my wallowing that it took me a minute to notice that mine had been changed as well. And another minute or two to realize the time and what "day" it was.

Aside from that nonsense, I've only gotten the chance to work on a few character designs for stuffs... and things. You know. Just that vague thing I'm alwaaayyys working on.

I almost forgot to mention that I'm entering a Metal Gear Solid flash contest of sorts for NG (newgrounds). Its a gunna be epic. fo cerealz.
I'll definitely have to throw a couple ideas up on hurr for you guys to watch and pre-judge.
...I'm only hoping my flash will work. Lately, its been making me want to cut myself and bleed black all over my life.
Srsly. It either crashes if I have it open for a while or if I make it work too hard... why is life so unfair???
On the bright side, the rules for the flash contest/collaboration is it has to be 5-30 seconds in length. So maybe I can work around that and get something submitted. I do have 2 months afterall.

The next step for me is to practice coloring, and then textures/backgrounds/etc.

One bit of bad news though, is that animating has kind of come to a halt ;_;
Yeah... its getting a little ridiculous with all the crashes. But I'm not giving up completely. I'm just hoping that with a re-install, things will be as good as new. We'll see.

Also, I'm going to be experimenting with photoshop. I'm a noob when it comes to drawing with PS. But maybe my art will take a giant leap forward?

I've been thinking recently about starting a band IRL, but thats no fun for you guys, so I came up with the idea to have a band on DA.
Basically, what that means is I'm drawing a pic with everyone who joins the band, in it.
But here's the catch
"THERE'S A CATCH??"
Yus. Keep reading.
The way it works is anyone who reads my journals, this one in particular, can join my band.
Its as easy as leaving a comment for this journal stating you want to join and what instrument you want to play.
for example:

"HI MCHUGGIES! I'M UR BIGGEREST FAN AND I WANT TO PLAY TEH RAWK GEE-TAR. PLZ PLZ PLZ. I LUV U 4 EVAH"

You don't even have to play a real instrument either.
Get creative.
Also, its important that you leave me a link to a pic of yourself (or your character), so that I have a reference to use, obviously.
But this isn't something that'll be going on forever.
You have until Dec 1
Pretty much a week, but that should be plenty of time.
After I have everyone join, there will be a poll (EVEN THO I DUN HAFF A SUBSCRIPTION) to see what our band is called.
