Now, i have a certain announcement and personal commentary about the new rules. A pat in the back to bret for finally pointing out the guidelines and for rhythm for tolerating the changes.

Some members gets discouraged when they're told to put effort in a piece, remember that the purpose of drawing, illustrating or whatever you do is to challengue yourself in every new piece you make, remember that laziness is not good, if you make a legends submission just because you were bored in class, that's fine, but making it bad on purpose is sort of akward don't you think? It's your art, a representation of yourself and your likes.

You can have fun doing the piece, being told to put a background or color it is not adding difficulty to your piece, it can still be as easy as you've always thought it was, just that this time you have to put a little something else unto it. Even a flat color is acceptable for certain styles, just don't mock your own art, that won't harm US, it harms YOU and your integrity as an artist.

The purpose is to grow your artistic skill by having fun at the same time, if drawing is not fun for you, then maybe this isn't your thing after all, you have to put attention to that too. That's all i have to give of advice on this.

IMPORTANT STUFF, READ!

Now, there is something that troubles me about the club lately, we are a club and the submissions of such are made by different artists, favouriting submissions on the club won't give the original author the praise his art deserves, since your watchers will be directed to the club and not to the artist himself. You could say a little reading will lead them to the author eventually, but we know that most deviants are too lazy to read the author comments (wich is a disease i tell you, sometimes there is important info there).

If you want to fave the club's submissions, that's ok. But if you do, then the least you can do is favourite the original piece as well, specially on members that specifically ask you to fave the original. (Something that i have seen has not been respected).
So i'll take the little task to sport this:



On submissions whose artists wants to get a fav on the original piece. I'm sure most of you will understand what this is about.
