Hey kids, I am taking flight with the idea in Hazelnutx's journal. I will feature 15 people in my journal with Hazelnutx's being in the #1 spot. The Mind of Megan

I've been trying to come up with different story boards for The Mind of Megan because i really enjoy drawing it. As you can see by my weekly poll a lot of you enjoy reading it. And thanks to Lewis @sine-out I have a web site that I will be updating. However, because I'm not the best at coming up with the theme of the comic, The Mind of Megan will now become "The Mind of Megan _{_{and Jake"}} My husband intends on writing some new material from his perspective. If you didn't know he's been over seas for some time now. That's when I pretty much stopped writing. Nothing really happens here with out him. But, a co writer should be a lot nicer.

o.O Deviant Freedoms?

I've had a lot of request to get #DeviantFreedoms back up and running. So I'm really considering it, but in the meantime I'm trying to get some designs together for a new improved DF. If you have any ideas, comments, or want me to hold a contest let me know!

^--- That's a great song! Look it up! So I've been in a rather docile and reserved mood lately, switching in and out from Alpha to Delta dream states in less than a minute. It kind'a makes me nervous that I could possibly be losing my mind more than I thought I was. So it's been 4 months 2 days since I lost my brother. It still breaks me down more than I can bare. Last night I had a dream that I lost my son, granted I dont have any kids but I closed my eyes at 11:05 and woke up at 11:23 after the most vivid and disturbing dream ever. I felt like I was still holding him. I was in almost a state of shock. But I digress.

This week I've been attending an A+ Certification course. It's really cool but they haven't really shown me anything I didn't already know. If you don't know what A+ is look it up. Basic computer workings and what not.

I can't wait until Jake comes home.

Recent Events

My Dear Friends & Family here on Deviant Art. I know you have all been keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. But as it happens, my eldest brother Michael Jr. passed away last night 9-20-2008 at 7:24 pm on his bed surrounded by his closest friends. I was not there unfortunitly, his wife and I had gone to get her tattoo. We never made it before we were called home. Exactly 5 months since he was diagnosed. Exactly 1 week until he would have been 33 years old. The funeral is Friday.

I am the Strength.

They Time Stamped my brothers head. 2 weeks... 2 weeks... that I have to figure out how to take it... 2 weeks to find a way to keep his memory alive... 2 weeks before he's not in pain any more... but I don't think he'll make it more than one.

So, I got the job!! Chillen at my new desk playing around... Unfortunately... I Don't have a scanner or Photo shop with this PC ... yet.... So I'm going to have to say this...

The Mind of Megan is on hiatus momentarily... I have about 10 comics backed up to be scanned and up loaded... I will try to get my laptop from my daddy (he borrowed it while he was in the hospital). This will allow me to scan and play with them at home and then upload them here.

Speaking of Dad... The Doctor Says he looks great. He might not need a Defibrillator after all!!!

On the other hand.. My brother has taken a turn for the worst... as you all know. They sent him home...

Changing Our Stars

With everything that has been going on recently I thought I was never going to get out of this bog... With Dad Sick... Junior Sick... The Job Offered to my friend and Jake going overseas I didn't think anything could get better.... Until...
To $Moonbeam13 :

I was jokingly pestering $Moonbeam13 in #seniors about a week ago... Next thing I know I get a note saying "sent you a fella" ... Well I thought it was a joke and went on with my day... Then last night I get a call from my mom... "hey you got a dA package" So I got to her house and low and behold... There is a fella.... ... the next thing I know I'm getting a call from my friend who was offered the job saying... I turned it down.... and put in a good word for you.... finally some good!... then the doctors called dad this morning and told him his shock treatment on his heart worked... and that as long as he takes care of himself, he'll be just fine....

So the point of this journal is.... You may be down on your luck... but with an act of random kindness from someone you don't know... or don't know very well... You can change your stars... your luck... and your life...

Word To Yo'Motha' Dawg

So, I've decided that since there really isn't much comical going on right now in my life. I'll just have good flash back stories and what not... a story line if you will.... rather than the cutesy and funny day-to-day happenings of The Mind of Megan.

On the Other Side:

Jake and I will be working on our book while he's overseas. I'm going to start turning it into a comic. I'm also going to start working on the story of Catt Calico.... Which fails to have an actual name right now.
