<sub>hey guys, i've been posting more than i usually have, haven't i? well it's just about the end of the year so i figure i'll do an end of the year journal! feel free to skip to the bottom if you wishh.

overall:
i feel like this year was probably one of the best years of my life. a lot of things happened & a lot of change/growth in myself and my friends as well. there are many people who helped open my eyes to a lot more things, and i feel like i am a lot more self-aware about myself/my actions/how the world works etc...though i know that i'm definitely not 'mature', and i'm still naive...i've still got a long ways to go, i'm still a bloody teenager @_@ but i'm proud of how much more i've matured...though i feel like i can grow up even more this coming year, since 2009 opened up endless possibilities.

this year has also been quite a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for me; i've opened my eyes to a lot more things i had never thought about/never knew, and when i started to forget some old things i had wonderful people to knock me back in my place. without them, i could never be the person i am now. at the beginning of the year i was...well, childish, if i say so honestly, looking back at myself. there were a lot of things i thought i knew that i really didn't but grew to really know this year. but even now i look back even just a couple months from now and regret some of the things i did/said...nothing can change those times but i know i can always do things the right way in the future if i try. even though it was painful i felt like i learned a lot from it.

also, this year contained an immeasurable amount of fun. even though some of the year was painful i really think this year was one of the funnest/best in my life. =]

<sub>seriously i need like an exploding emoticon for mood. it's not love, it's SUPER LOVE. because i got so much stuff this year i never expected to get from so many people i love, and i gave so much more stuff than i usually did and just the smiling faces...really, just one of the best holiday seasons i've had.

i've been having a pretty awesome break from school, got to party with my best friends (~Kagome62, ~soren13, & ~xfersurex) last Friday night and also exchanged gifts then >w> art-wise i presented ~soren13 and ~Kagome62 with unfinished pictures and a completely polished doujinshi respectively, hurr. i also recieved some lovely presents from them, too, and overall it was super awesome hanging out with them lovely ladies!

thennn hung out with my boyfriend ~Romia456 as welll. i had a ton of gifts for him but wound up giving him a couple throughout the days. we also wound up betting a gift through a game of 41 (hur hurr) and i wound out losing out so he got the gift xD i will post a pic of his most epic gift tomorrow after i give it to him though, because it is amazin'!

so, how are your guys' holidays going at the moment? good? bad? hanging with friends, family? alone?

aaaand, what are your favorite parts of the holidays? mine is giving. i never had a reason to really feel like giving until last year and this year though. before it was kind of like obligatory, y'know? but then i started REALLY getting into DIYs and homemades(giving art gifts for 4 years as well)...their happy faces just light me up inside xD

how was your halloween? my weekend was fucking amazing, one of the best weekends i've had all year. ~soren13 slept over thursday night for costume day at school on friday, party friday night, ~Romia456 & our awesome friend chris slept over and they, ~soren13, ~Kagome62, my sis, and i hung out downtown along with having lunch, trick or treated with them then with our super awesome friend ~xfersurex, then sleptover at her house. had a ton of fun over there on the trampoline and reliving disney days, then went on a bone-chilling date with my bf to watch the Saw VI and Paranormal Activity. couldnt sleep last night lmao, so i read Catching Fire.

SEGUE! Catching Fire is part of a new book series my sister got me to fall head over heels with, and i heartily promote it like her. it's part of The Hunger Games Trilogy, here's my somewhat crappy yet spoiler free summary:

Katniss Everdeen, a 16 year old girl struggling to support her mother-and-younger-sister-family that lives in a totalitarian-futuristic United States in the country of Panem is forced into her cruel government's will, like the rest of her people. Panem is divided into thirteen Districts - however, the last district, District 13, was destroyed in a revolt that caused the bloody tradition of the Hunger Games to ensure the people's obedience. Each year, a male and female tribute from the age 12-18 is selected from each district to participate in a fight to the death for the Capitol's(the government)amusement. When a series of events forces Katniss to participate in these games, she is thrown into something greater than she ever imagined.

so i wasn't able to go with ALL my friends, (meaning i was without my awesome friends ~xfersurex and ~Kagome62! D8) but i did go with my d.gray buddies, ~soren13 as Crown Clown/Casual Allen(she changed after dinner lulz) and my babe ~Romia456 as Lavi. as per usual, i was Lenalee~ and my lovely sis ~PirateStar01 was photographer~ also, our kind-of cousin, Julia, or Jules, came with us~

we didn't take so many pics at this con since it was somewhat small and BLAZING HOT (i swear. pleather+heat = the worst idea you could ever have.) but we did take a few. a tiny photoshoot, not a huge one lulz.

it was great because we met up with old friends (namely ~lolixXxhime and Sora from Fanime - totally unexpected) and made some new ones ^^ my phone got a bunch of additions because i handed out my number to a couple people lulz. gave brownies to ~lolixXxhime, it was nice to see her again from AX ^^

basically had a ton of fun hanging out, posing, taking photos, etc etc. im somewhat glad this con we weren't mobbed as much as we were at Fanime, we were able to get around and go around the Dealer's Hall. ~Romia456 got his money's worth and more with free Venom drinks (he got $50 worth of it) despite spending his money in the Hall xD;; the convention's organization bugs me though...they put the Artist's Alley in the already cramped hallways =\ and they didn't have in the book the location of events. frustrating...but we found out things anyhow.

<sub>lolll im starting sophomore yearrr. so everything is so damn busy. i woulda posted a journal YESTERDAY when school actually started but i had so much homework i was working forever. today my workload is a bit lighter, and it should be even less tomorrow, so i am typing now.

1. i have drawn a total of 2 notebookfuls of first random comic crap, one crappy chapter of Mirrors, which was what Black Ribbon was originally, four doujinshis ranging from like 16-27 pages?, a four-page intro of Black Ribbon, the first chapter and half of the second to Paramount, and multiple short 1-2 page comics dealing with an assortment of things like Bleach and Kingdom Hearts. I draw a lot of comics.
2. i thoroughly enjoy blood & gore of any kind to any degree
3. i've been drawing lolita-style clothes for a good 2-3? years but i have yet to actually own one (dunno if i even want to, lolitas are getting old lately)
4. if i could have multiple jobs, i would like to be a fashion designer, a doctor/nurse, a video game character designer, a manga artist, a professional cosplayer, and an author 8D
5. the first series of comics i had ever drawn were adventures of me and my on-going life...with edward elric. then reno joined us at a point. alphonse made multiple appearances too.

derr giving you guys all a heads up that i will be gone friday to like...monday afternoon, i think.

i will be attending Anime Expo 09~ as Lenalee Lee, 2nd Uniform Friday (and I will be at the D.Gray-Man gathering. :3) with my friend ~soren13, who will go as Allen Walker Crown Clown Version on Friday, and maybe casual on Saturday. I'm going as 1st Uniform (for the first time really, since it's been fixed and beautiful <3) on Saturday~ ~Kagome62 will also be coming with us, dressed in her fabulous Ouran Highschool Host Club dress, and my bootastic sistah, ~PirateStar01 will be photographing cosplayers~

the gatherings we're attending are the D.Gray-Man mini-gathering on Friday, since we can't attend the huge one on Thursday, and then the Gurren Lagann gathering on Saturday, then the Ouran one on Saturday as well. how exciting.

then Sunday we're going to be at Disneyland. wewt! dream come true! we're meeting up with ~xfersurex and fulfilling our dream of all going to disneyland together. exciting.

there will be a full gigantic report of this stuff when i get back on my LJ. and probably a quick summary here.

derr dress rehearsal tomorrow. oh boy.

<sub>my god, it's the last week of my first highschool year already /sob

freshman year was so amazing. so much change happened. so much GOOD change. god, how many times can i say that in my lifetime? XD;; it's so rare to get such a fantastically awesome year.

anyhow. firstly i apologize on being artdead. i mean, i could be more active, but...boyfriends and friends take up tons of my time. plus, i'm addicted to video games. zombies and the sims 2 are an everyday of my life. i blame the sims 2 on muh wifey, though. custom content + legacies = win. for those of you that read my Legacy on my LJ though...i'm going to update that at some point. there's tons more info about it in my actual LJ though xD;

secondly. because it is summertime, hopefully i'll be more active. either that or playing RO/hanging with my babe/playing some video game/hanging with friends/summer assignments. well, i'll be doing something for sure. hopefully, i'll work more on Paramount/Ostium/Black Ribbon, though. so much work to do, hurr

now third. because it is summertime, i have a gigantically awesome trip scheduled for the beginning of July for Anime Expo and Disneyland. it is the super dream trip of 2009, i must say.

<sub>hey guys, just giving a quick update since i apparently haven't updated in nearly a month. gee.

umm, Fanime is coming up pretty fast this weekend, and i'll be attending for one day only with...a lot of people. i still have to sort out who's coming and blah, so i might edit this and update with info.

we're probably going to spend the entire day down at San Jose, since we're going to stay til late night for the dance. i'm kinda sad they aren't making it a rave; i had contacted the people for info and apparently they discontinued it and it's just a dance now, but one of my friends is going to it anyways. i dun really know what it's like, but im assuming it'll be kind of rave-like. i dunno if there'll be lights n stuff, but im hoping it's fun. what makes me kinda sad is that im not over 18, so i can't attend the nightclub since there are two different dances both starting at 8, i believe, though one is more nightclub-y and 18+. baw. ah well.

anyhow as far as i know, people going fo sho are me, , , , , and i think her lil sis , and probably too.

this week is so exciting. OH AND the weather is heating up which is even better, plus we're swimming at school and fjlkdajsfld.

so yeah i felt like updating cos im waiting for some people here to be done with some assignments before i can continue working on it

anyways, some new occurrences have some info since like none of you read my LJ-

- cosplay photoshoots were done. believe it or not, i actually managed to get photos taken with ~soren13 and ~Romia456. my bf still needs to get Lavi's first uniform IMO, so that we can all wear first uniform cos we only all have second uniform. my sis, ~PirateStar01, might be posting photos so if you are interested go look there. also, she has good photos so yeah go look at those too.

- in regards to ostium in case anyone actually reads that, i might upload another chapter soon but i am slowly working on it (read: real slow) on and off, so yeah, and my sis just got in on it and wants me to write more.

- for paramount, i have worked a bit on a new page, but i already have on uploaded so i might just work on that and post a new page up since someone commented on the latest and i considered posting more.

- sketchblog. that thing needs to be updated, and things need to be scanned. hmmm.

- school is kind of hectic ish now. because...i have prom not this weekend (it's ~soren13's birthday and im going to her party) but next weekend, so these two weekends i'm busy. then the week after prom is STAR testing for us, boo, so yeah. this school year is almost over, dear god, it went by a little too fast and so many amazing and awesome things happened. <3 so yeah.

- i got addicted to sims 2 again. i blame it on ~Naru-kitty. that's mostly the reason why im inactive. also, ~Romia456. in fact, i'm just easily distracted.

we hadn't even registered for the con and so many people asked for our pictures. when we reached the upper floor we got attacked for pictures again.

i like her voice. it's actually the same pitch as mayumi; if i fuck around with miku's voice, i get it to just about this pitch for Mayumi, so it's like "hay this works". miku's voice is incredibly high so her standard voice is like reika for me...but eh. messing around with vocaloid people is fun. listening to vfcs are pretty cool too, since they're already messed around with. but usually, i dont listen to vocaloid. unless my wife links me, but then that's all different because they're good songs.

super awesome shoutout to muh sis, it was her birthday yesterday and i was too busy after finals to post cos ~Romia456 came over nd we played brawl, then my sis came home and ripped open her TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN SPECIAL EDITION BOX SET 1. so we wound up watching two eps of pure awesomeness before we had dinner with our dad unfghhgh.

and then ~soren13 drew an awesome pic of Kamina nd Simon for her. go love her now. and go wish my sis a bday you kids she just became a teenager. so i bestowed upon her the core drill. pierce the heavens, little sis.

as for artwork. i dont think i'll update here for a while. ive got too many distracting things in my life (gee, im using that word DISTRACTING a lot, i wonder why? /sarcasm) so i don't draw as much, though i do doodle. so i suppose after this i'll stop by my sketchblawgh and throw all my stuff there. so if you're interested, skedaddle over there. there's a link at the bottom of this entry.

I AM HAVING A GOOD DAY AND I HAVE BEEN FOR A WHILE. lately i seem to be very happy. i wonder why, HON HON HON.

aum my Lenalee cosplay underwent huge change. my mom fixed it since it had so much stuff wrong with it i was writhing when i realized how much stuff i needed. but my mom fixed like everything and now the jacket actually closes and the belt around the collar actually buttons and it's actually a belt around too and all i need to do is sewn on like three buttons and i think my mom fixed the belt and we also remade the skirt AHHH i love my mom. all i need to get really is new shoes 8D

and then my 2nd uniform arrived and that has to be modified because im too skinny to fit into it -facepalm- but its okay because it's amazingly awesome and ~soren13 has hers too and ~Romia456 ordered his and they also ordered wigs ajblkaaljfd i cant wait til AOD in feb GROOOOOOUP -seizure-

anyhow, sorry to everyone ;3; that ive been gone forever and ever.

1) i got addicted to playing Pikmin 2 and Brawl [omfg what. yeah. just now.] and managed to unlock all the characters except 2 in one go, so...subspace emissary is so addicting. i went from like 20% to 85% today & finished it, ahaha...

2) i got artist's diarrhea and i have a bajillion pictures to post now. seriously. i redrew a bunch of pictures and colored a bunch so i'll just throw them all on here.

about paramount, i'll be posting like three pages soon hopefully, if i get them done. i have like one page inked LOL -facepalm- but my dad's stealing me away for christmas and forcing me to parties [-hides away-] so i'll be gone for an indefinite amount of time. ohh, break is going to be gone so fast.

hopefully i'll get christmas presents up soon, too. @_@;; i still gotta draw some of those.

umm some updates about things. Ostium has so far, 10 chapters posted up. i might go to fictionpress or something to post it up. or something. i dunno. somewhere.

Paramount's off hiatus and I'm working on it now. check out the smackjeeves of it, link below(you guys don't look at it, you don't. xD; ) in case you're interested. the site is also updated slightly with character profiles and pics. if i do more art of paramount i might make a seperate section of that. but i do actually have some paramount art laying around...

also, info about a new story i've concocted in my LJ profile. oh yeah and my convention schedule for 09 is there, in case i haven't said already. it's subject to change, and there might potentially be a fourth convention and stuff.

anyhow, story stuff. um slight kind of spoilers of Ostium. in case you haven't read the first ten chapters. but everything else is pretty okay. again. new story. -coughs- im repeating myself. im tired. -rolls around-

a bit about the story - it's all :devmini-cow:'s fault it was formed, really. her sketchblog inspired it. that, and i was looking at steampunk goggles and realized i really, really like steampunk and cyberpunk. they're love. steampunk goggles, biohazard signs, and bomber jackets. yeeeeeeees.

it's a horror story. so there will probably be blood. i don't know if i'm going to illustrate it. but if i do, it'll be after black ribbon. that's not til years from now, FYI. but it will be written, and probably posted, unlike BR+Paramount.

anyhow, weather is now cold here and i was stupid today and wore a tanktop. :[ ah well.

besides that random fact i felt like i had to share with you all, NaNoWriMo ended yesterday.

and, i managed to win! i feel so proud of myself. for those of you that don't know, all you have to do to win in NaNoWriMo is just submit a story that has 50,000+ words before 11:59:59 pm nov. 30.

from thursday to sunday afternoon, i was down southeast at some almost-relative's houses so i was forced to type up 15k in a very limited amount of time, but i got around to doing it.

but now im incredibly behind on posting chapters of Ostium .____.;; i have like what, 8 posted, and 14 actual chapters done. does anybody even really read it, LOL. im probably going to go and just post it on my LJ and remove it from here anyways; the story would be incredibly long and annoying to just post here. plus, i'm not really a literary person.

also, on the etc part, felt i should let you guys know that i'm going to be in my school's yearbook [i think so. i'm not a hundred percent positive, but i think so.] probably, with my own page and stuff about my art. so i'm filling in this interview thing right now. it's thanks to ~</sub>zokiai though, she was originally the one being interviewed [though, about being russian. that doesn't...make sense to me. "how's it feel to be russian?" "erm...great?"] but they told her she could get out of it if she found someone more interesting [though, i don't think i'm all that interesting] so she got me to do it.

happy tidbit right there, ahaha.

so there's two of some awesome things there. and christmas is coming soon. hooray! then i get my cosplay outfit, and my sis gets awesomeful SLR camera - whatever those newfangled lingo words chillun are making up these days.

i can't choose what cosplay outfit i wanna buy [cos...i might be able to buy one. this is a bit presumptious of me, but i want to choose before i ask. because...then i'd know what i'm asking FOR.]

i am [hopefully] going to AX again next year. and because i like planning ahead, i want to get my cosuprayz nao. i have to fix up my Lenalee cosplay cos it's missing a bunch of stuff [/inspect] and then i have to also do the designs on my insignia thingy that ~soren13 and i did together [which i will do, later].

so. there are two choices.

Lenalee or C.C.

i stated i already have a Lenalee outfit, yes? but this is d.gray-man. they have like 5720935 different outfits. no joke. lenalee black order ver. 1, ver. 2, and now THERE'S A VER. 3. then there is also her dress, then some random black one...and there's another one too that isn't at the site i wanna buy at. but anyhow, the lenalee outfit i wanna buy is her 2nd version. which is the really overly complicated one, in case you guys have any clue of what i'm talking about.

and c.c.. i have wanted to cosplay as c.c. for as long as i've like known her. which is like two months [GAIZ I HAVE THE EXACT DATE I STARTED GETTING INTO CODE GEASS FUCK YES.] so i would like an outfit.

this is c.c.'s 2nd outfit [what lol], which she wears in R2, her dark one not her white one...except, i'll need a wig for c.c..

Lenalee's doesn't necessarily need a wig[uh, if you read d.gray-man, youd understand...], so it'd just be that outfit and that's...almost it. i'd need her shoes, but the outfit comes with the gloves she has, so i don't have to worry about that.

however, c.c.'s has EVERYTHING i'll like possibly need. her outfit, the underclothes, the arm stuff, and bootcovers for the shoes. the wig [which i found for cheap] is also much cheaper than i'd find at most sites, and it's already styled too.

so. i don't know if anyone really pays attention to me anymore, i mean i'm practically DEAD...but opinions please? XD;

i've known about EVA for a really long time, and i've also seen a couple eps and really liked it.

but i've never actually done anything to check up on it til now and oh my god. i read 78 chapters and i wish they didnt put it on hiatus. i need to watch the episodes and movies. holy crap.

EVA is beautiful. it's (naturally) the best anime of all time (its the name for it ive always heard), and it definitely deserves the title. its so depressing and true and beautiful. :<

i was lookin at movies and i found out that

Tim Burton's doing his own remake of Alice in Wonderland.

pretty good. xD not as fabulous as AX, obviously, but still just as fun.

went to sacramento at like, 5 on Friday OTL because...we still had to finish up some costumes. wound up not going at all on Friday and just relaxed, ahah XD;;

saturday we went after finishing up costumes so around noon...pretty fun. was gonna be in masquerade, but i chickened out. OTL sorrrryyy D8;;;

performed in a corner though. xD that day i was cosplayin with ~Leyoto in lolis, and ~soren13 cosplayed as Allen xD~ my sis was normal. XD

that night we went to the rave. OH GAWD. i love raves. best. things. ever.

and this one awesome guy who cosplayed as Xemnas/Mansex kept making a train at the rave. AJFDLKASJ. they played Where's Your Head At by Basement Jaxx. i screamed when they started playin it. D8 oh gawd loooove. they also played remixes of Tetris. HAHAHA. it was awesome.

we also raved with this one super nice chick and this Prince of Tennis cosplayer (HE COULD DANCE LIKE FUCKING AWESOME). cosplayed as Fuji. xD

~soren13 dressed up as Trucy and me and ~Leyoto went just as...ravers? XDDD

sunday (today) i went as Lenalee and ~soren13 was Allen again xD~ she kept carrying me around OTL and ~Leyoto was Apollo Justice, nd my sis, ~PirateStar01 was Trucy xD~

i met tons of awesome people and managed to snag their email addresses, dahaha~ -adds a bunch- there were these two awesome guys trying to get a marble out of a ramune bottle. it was hilarious. xD

there was also these two super awesome Soul Eater cosplayers~ so nice xD

i saw a Kallen, a C.C., and two Zero's/Lelouch's. D8 they were so awesome. omg.

i got a bunch of code geass stuff this time, dahaha~ and another FMA keychain. xD~ make me happy.

they printed Paramount pretty well compared to the computer OTL Paramount was just perfect in the book. really small, but much better. xD so that made me happy <3

now im off to catch up on my animu
