However...I must remind you all about something: Do not forget about the warning I gave you all when I left for Rome. If anything should happen to me* on my way back, she will come onto my account identifying herself (assuming she knows how to) and tell you all if anything has happened to me. You who disapproved of my Halloween prank have no need to fear, as no such thing will ever occur again on my account.

I will announce my triumphant return to the states on the 12th, as I will be arriving home very late on the 11th. (My stay in Zurich, the hub of Swiss Airlines, will be only 1 hour, plus, I'm traveling opposite the Earth's rotation)

today we were at a special luncheon with Monsignor O'Brien, the theology professor, and someone claimed that we were having rabbit. I didn't really care because, whatever meat we were eating, it was tasty and satisfactory to me. Besides, the meat tasted like chicken anyway.

Ben, as a joke, asked Jon, "Do you want more rabbit?" Jon was taken aback and pushed his plate aside realizing what he had eaten, and said "I CAN'T EAT RABBIT! IT'S NOT KOSHER!" Turns out the meat was, indeed, chicken. Ben didn't even know rabbit was not kosher. He tried to convince Jon that the meat was chicken by telling him the difference between rabbit and chicken, but he still refused to eat the meat.

HA! Jokes on you buddy. You don't know what you're missing!

All I gotta say is this: It's about time he knew what it was like to be lied to! Ben is my hero! XD

It was the fulfillment of a promise.

It all started yesterday during a tour of the Museum of Roman Civilization when I was venting to Ben about yesterday's events. I figured actually talking to someone face to face would help me more so than just typing things out. XD Anyway, I felt comfortable talking to him about it because, not only is he a good friend of mine, but he has had problems with Vic and Jon as well.

BTW, it turns out Ben and Alana appearing conveniently after the yelling was simply coincidental, as I had asked him about the matter and he confirmed it.

However, after talking with Ben, who told me to just ignore them both because of their selfishness and arrogance, I started talking with Allie, a girl I went to Florence with. She was kind of trailing behind and I didn't want to leave her alone. Since she is good friends with Vic, I asked if she had heard anything about yesterday's incident. She denied having heard anything.

I then found myself in a predicament, since I knew I couldn't just drop the subject, so I explained in as little detail as possible what happened, which then led me to explain what has been going on between Vic and myself. The reason I did this with as little detail as possible is because Allie, unlike Ben, is on good terms with Vic and is good friends with her. Since this is the case, I didn't want to destroy their friendship with hearsay and rumor.

I learned that she was greatly troubled because of our mutual loss of friendship, and, needless to say, I was grieved by this. On the way back to the villa, I assured her that I would try to resolve things with Vic the following day (today) during a certain time when I knew Vic would be alone.* I told her this:

"I will do this, if not for my sake or hers, then for you"

She was touched by this, and we parted ways.

That was yesterday, now here is what happened today:

I talked with Allie some more about my situation with Vic after Theology class. We went to McDonalds near the Pantheon because I gave her some winning game pieces I had whose prizes were that of free food: a ice cream cone and a small soda. I purchased a McFlurry (Cuz I love em! XD They're so good! However, they don't beat gelato, not by a long shot!) and a soda and we sat down to talk.

I revealed everything to her, apologizing over and over again for telling her this and kept telling her how I didn't want to ruin her friendship with Vic. She assured me time and time again that no such thing would happen. Talking to her really helped, and we devised a plan to help me patch things up with Vic.

Now I had purchased some onion rings from a Burger King I found near Termini, not far from the Wedding Cake monument, that I had intended to present to Vic at the gate near our Theology class, but she wasn't there because she was bed-ridden with an illness that has been going around. I bought these because of a promise I made to her last month: I promised to take her to the Burger King I found near Termini, but it never happened. She loves their onion rings and was upset that there seemed to be no Burger Kings anywhere in Rome.

I had asked that Allie bring them to Vic because of her bed-ridden state, but she replied asking me if it were not better if I gave them to Vic myself. I knew that this was the better choice, since Vic, despite her arrogance, had the decency to present me with her "apology" picture in person. So, I asked her, if Vic did not appear at dinner, to go get her for me so I could present the gift personally. She agreed.

I then proceeded to explain what I meant the other day when I said that I was doing this for her and not for my own benefit or for Vic. I told her that although I had long since forgiven Vic for her trespasses, it was not right that I should allow her to get away with what she did.** I told her I didn't care what happened between me and Vic, or what people thought of me as a result of this, but, because Allie was in no way involved in this, she was an innocent individual being harmed by my actions. This, in my eyes, could not stand.

We talked about other things as well, and she conceived no ill thoughts nor bore any ill-will against either of us. (She's a saint. X3) When we got home, I embraced her, thanked her for hanging out with me, and parted ways with her.

If I didn't already have a migraine, I'd be laughing so hard I'd develop one! (I know, I know, I shouldn't be on the computer if I have a migraine, but I really need to tell you this. This is by far the greatest example of his ignorance, utter stupidity and one-sidedness)

Ok, so we were lucky to have Sahara Wind today (wind that comes up from the Sahara that is usually warm and brings cool rain) so it kind of helped my migraine, but when I got to the gate of the building where my theology class is (I got there about 45 minutes early) and hopped on the elevated "counter" (I have no idea what to call it) and, greatly fatigued because of my migraine, drifted off, since the air had turned cool inside the atrium arch due to the rain coming. One side of my head throbbed constantly, so I put my hand up just so so it would both cradle the throbbing section and support my head. The last thing I remember is Vic, who had gotten there before me, get down and walk in my direction.

I became partially conscious when Jon came. I was conscious of what was going on, but it was like my body was still waking up. He asked what Vic was doing, to which I could hear her say, "I'm trying to apologize to this bastard!" (Which doesn't actually sound like she's apologizing for anything...) She continued by saying, "He's supposed to be my best friend and I don't even know what I did wrong! And he's not really sleeping!" (I really didn't know that anyone was "supposed" to be friends with people. I thought you could choose who to call "friend". Then again, I'm not living in Vic's f***ed up imagination) "I know", said Jon, like he really knew.

Anyway, after shouting at me for a bit, they left me alone. However, a little later, Jon came back and actually started yelling at me to get up. This time I was actually able to, but not without being groggy. (Hell, wouldn't you be pissed if someone woke you put by screaming in your frickin ear?) He then gave some dumbass etiquette/history lesson about how barbarians would shake hands with Romans before they killed each other (wtf?) and how Stalin met with his enemies under a banner of truce, then, after saying, "I thought you were better than that", asked me if I was really worse than Stalin.*

I thought about this to myself and realized that he missed a really valid point that would have jeopardizes his insulting analysis**. However, I wished not to turn disorderly (because, let me tell you, I would have torn this kike a new asshole if I didn't control my temper) so I simply stated that his opinion of me didn't matter to me and that he should keep his nose out of affairs that didn't concern him. He then flew into a minor tantrum and said that he didn't have any bad opinion of me save for the current situation, which is bullshit. ( [link] ) He then said that I should just accept the token of apology, but I was not obligated to forgive if I wasn't ready. (Trust me, I'm paraphrasing and putting it in nicer words...)

I knew that more people were coming soon and decided to just end this quickly before I made a spectacle out of anyone. (Because, you know, I'm f***ing nice like that) After taking the "apology" paper that Vic had apparently been holding in front of my lifeless body for 45 minutes and thanking her for it, Ben and Alana showed up. This told me something: either they had just conveniently showed up after all was said and done coincidentally, or they heard everything that was going on and didn't enter until they were sure everything was settled. It just seemed too convenient that they would appear RIGHT AFTER the fight.

Anyway, I went up to Theology class without further incident.


Now then, I would like to explain why I, according to Jon, haven't forgiven her yet. The truth is, I have. I forgave Vic the instant she threw me away. However, after many counseled me, saying that I should just ignore her since she has only brought trouble, I told them that I had planned to and would only take her back until she learned humility. She clearly did not, so, although I have forgiven her, I will not take her back.

What people don't understand about the whole "forgive and forget" thing, is that it's not just about forgiving wrong-doing and forgetting the past, but punishing the wrongdoer in such a way that they learn never to do such a thing again. (I'm simply using my own words again. During dinner today, Will asked if any news had happened in the world. Tony, being an idiot and only thinking only about what happens in the christian world and not in the REAL world, said, "Bad news. A church in Iraq was bombed and a monastery was destroyed." He didn't even mention if lives were lost or anything.

I spoke up and said, "Well, was anyone killed? Were any homes destroyed or hospitals or anything?" He said "No, but a convent for nuns was."

Now, why do I have a problem if no one was killed? It defeats my argument, does it not? The problem here is that he only seems to consider the destruction of Church property newsworthy and the lose of life is second to the destruction of religious structures. It seems that people here, especially people like Tony, don't seem to understand that you can rebuild a structure, but you cannot rebuild a human life.

Sorry to have ranted, but it's still disgraceful behavior. I don't care if us Christians are getting persecuted over there. We've handled just as bad, if not worse (Rome, anyone?) and we have always pull through and come out stronger than ever.

It's because of people like him with those kinds of attitudes towards human life that the value of life is toned down so...

OK, on with the story! (The story is pretty much what happened within 2 days, so of course it'll be long! XD I'll try to keep it as concise and short as possible without leaving out any of the juicy bits.)

Day 1:

After class on Friday, we all started figuring out who was going and how we were going to get there (TMC organization at it's finest XD). Finally, it was decided that some would leave Friday and some would leave the following day. After relaying some information to a couple of trustworthy people regarding the use of my laptop, I chased after the others who were leaving, which were Lori, Eleanor and Allie.

I caught up with them and they were very happy to know I was coming along with them.I was actually pretty curious as to why, but I just went with it. It was a compliment, so why complain? XD We got on the 719 with Dr. Connell, who was going home, and discovered half way to the station that we needed our passports to get into the hostel (No, it's not "hotel" misspelled. It's a place specifically for travelers) that he recommended to us. Since we are foreigners, such a form of ID was required and we didn't know. (Again, TMC at it's finest... XD)

After returning to the villa, we all pretty much bolted up the hill preceding the villa itself. After all dropped our bags, Lori said to us, "Just run! Don't talk to anybody! Just get the passports and go!" By the time she said that, I was halfway up the first part of the hill! Needless to say, I got my passport, as did the others, and we made it to Termini, the train terminal in Rome, without further incident.

After getting to Termini, we got in line to get our tickets. The benefit of me going today was that it would have cost more the next day, plus I would have missed the extra time with friends in Florence. I made some small talk with Allie, since I hadn't really gotten to know her at all, and asked her about what she thought about certain things, like the 2012 end of the world bull crap (whoops, I mean, prophecy). After talking for a bit, she said that she was glad I came, and the other two followed suit and said the same. My curiosity was piqued and I asked why they were so happy I came, since I thought being the only guy among the four of us would cramp their style, but they like me coming because, apparently, none of them really knew me that well. I was rather confused by this, but decided it was pretty awesome that people were actually happy to have me around.

Since we were late in catching the early train, we had to wait for the later one, which left at around 3:00 pm. We grabbed some pizza and sat outside the station, talking. I brought up some political topics, but the idea of talking about such matters was shot down, as no one wished to talk about such things. We hung around a bookstore for a while until we were ready to leave for our 4 hour train trip.

The trip itself was uneventful, as most of us napped for most of the duration.

When we got to the station in Florence, we were starving, especially considering, like idiots, we had no lunch and it was already around 8 pm! Unfortunately, there were no real good places to eat, so we went to the McDonalds across the street from the station. We felt horrible doing it, but had fun eating from the mountain of fries we made from our meals. After peeling a game piece from my drink (McDonalds in Italy is doing a contest based on UNO) and winning a ice cream, I asked the others if they wanted some ice cream. While Lori and Eleanor said no, Allie accepted the offer, admitting she felt terrible being the only one to take it, not because she was the only one to take the ice cream, but because she felt bad about being the only person to "take my money". I assured her it was a treat and everything was fine.

We then went to the hostel, only to find that it was full. However, the good woman at the counter directed us to a place called "Tourist House Liberty". We were able to get a great deal on rooms too.

We were only able to get one room, but fortunately it had a big enough bed for all of us, which we all shared. (Guess who got to sleep in the middle. >:3) I guess it was worth coming along. I told my mom about it when I returned and she wrote to the college to complain about the lack of supervision. I think I may be leaving the college next year as a result.

White Chocolate:

Someone had left a bag of wrapped boxes with messages on on them on the doorstep of the villa. The boxes were filled with chocolate of various flavors and brands. (The person doing this was Mary Monoghan (Sp?)) I got German white chocolate a message that read:

"For those who like things right: God gave chocolate of white. Be thankful for white chocolate."

Well, white chocolate is actually my least favorite kind, but it was still good. Plus, the message was right, I do like things right: Right-wing, that is. XD

I gave her a big hug after. :3

Remember all those stories I told you about Jon the Jew? Well, I've got a hilarious one to tell you! After I hugged Mary for giving me the chocolate, I told her the joke about me being right winged and love things "right", then commented on how almost everyone in TMC is right-winged and that "about 3 people are left-winged". However, Jon did not like me saying that, and said "Who exactly is left-winged?", as if being liberal was an insult...

Mary Woodward, from Ave Maria, jumped in before I got a chance to respond, and said:

"Well, you are, apparently, because you voted for Obama, worked for his campaign, have his shirt, which you still wear, and are proud of it!"

Jon, being defensive, said:

"Well, I also worked for John McCain's campaign in 2006..." (Bullshit)

Tony (my director) jumped in and said "That's even worse!" At that, I was thinking to myself "WTF?! At least McCain had frickin morals!" (Anti-abortion, for one) God almight, my director is a frickin moron! (Then again...no, I'm not going to say it. That would just be low...)

After Jon contradicted his original story from ages ago (when he said he only supported Obama and worked on his campaign, Mary concluded by saying, "As far as I'm concerned, you have lost my respect as a voter", to which everyone nodded in agreement, causing Jon to sip his wine in defeat...

Many of you may remember the story i told you of a poll where anyone who answered a certain way was heckled by the deviant who posted it. Well, that was Cyantre. I never mentioned his name in order to both not name drop and to give him attention.

Wow. Way to miss the point. I really hate when people try to sic the community on me, so here you go.

I -never- said you had to like a DD. I did say, however, according to dA policy, not my own, that the appropriate way to express the dislike of the DD is NOT on the artist page, but instead, in a note to the person who featured it, or to $Moonbeam13.

You are welcome, even encouraged, to provide constructive criticism on any piece. "I don't like this piece because I think the lighting isn't very good."

"This doesn't deserve a DD" is not constructive in any way.

I noted that you should turn on your mature content filter, and linked you to how to do so, because many people are not aware that there is such a filter, not as an insult to your intelligence. You seem set on not liking artistic nudes, so why should you want to view them? I agree that more MC filters would be nice, though I think it's a little strange that you don't want to view nudes, but you want to see horror and macabre (the only other automatic MC filtered gallery.) But that's just my opinion. Again, it wasn't "to spite your intelligence."

And yes, I am a nude model, and photographer. This does not make me promiscuous, and it is a big part of why I'm one of the GMs for the artistic nude gallery.

In the end though, I never told you not to have an opinion. I did tell you that you, along with everyone else, were required to abide by dA policy. If that makes me an arrogant bitch (thanks by the way, I take that as a complement.), so be it.

So...you lurk the deviations you give DDs to and make sure that people are following the policy even though you let numerous insults go and commented mostly on ones that questioned how the deviation deserved the DD? Right...

Well, I commented on people's opinions regarding one daily deviation yesterday who said that the piece in question was unworthy of the DD. All it was a a photo of someone's derriere with a violin resting on it. (I will not post a link to it because there are young deviants on here) Now, get this, people have only been saying things like "this isn't very special" or "it's not DD worthy". however, the mod of the nude art gallery does really appreciate "her" art type being insulted, so, being a lurker, she went and attacked people who said so, saying that their opinion was "inappropriate".

(Skip this if you're under 16)

The peculiar thing is that she responded to a guy who called the image "Dick catching", calling the comment "crass", yet she said nothing about a comment that said "I wonder where her G-string is", which is an even worse sexual suggestion. Hmm... In fact, she didn't even say anything about the other "non-constructive" comments. I'm pretty sure that comments like "Violin + ass = win" is REALLY constructive and helps the artistic community.

(Done with that...)

Now then, I noticed that the mod pretty much plastered the same comment over and over again on comments she didn't like:

"Unfortunately, I can't pick things that EVERYONE will like EVERY day. Check back tomorrow, and send in suggestions, that way, you can see stuff -you- want to see "

What can we ascertain through this? It seems to me that the mod in question believes that those who don't "appreciate" nude art are selfish, else she would not have emphasized the "you" in that statement. I commented back saying that no one was forcing her to post what they wanted, since they are given suggestions, and that people were only expressing opinions. she responded with the following, which was also something plastered on some other comments:

"They need to follow the rules, which are "if you don't like a DD, take it up with the GM (myself) in private." You're welcome to dislike it, you are not welcome to be rude on the page of the artist, by saying this is "not special" or "anyone could do it."

FAQ #873: What do I do when I disapprove of a Daily Deviation feature?"

Ok... First off, she pretty much said that we have no right to express our opinions if we dislike what we see directly to the artist and we have to tell the gallery mods about it. That's like saying that I can't write a letter to my congressman telling him he's sucking at his job, I have to write it to his secretary. (Even though, IRL, secretaries handle the letters, but that's not the point)

Also, why the hell is she defending an artist who is fully capable of defending himself? Then again, she's most likely defending the art, which is still pathetic because of how she's doing it. she's just bitching about how people are complaining about the nudity.

Included in her comment were some rather rude statements directed toward me. (notice how mods can be rude to us, but we can't be "rude" to those awarded DDs?):

Let's talk about her statement 'Based off your page'. The only things you can find out about me, personally, based off my page is anything written in my profile and what's in my journal. So, based on that, all she could figure it is that, because I'm a Christian and, possibly, a Conservative, then I must believe that this form of art is corrupting me. Also, I've never actually bothered anyone who does this. I didn't post anything rude directly to the artist, but, rather replied to comments made by other people, so her "turn on the mature content filter, and leave those of us who enjoy artistic nude photography alone" remark is completely uncalled for.

Also, you gotta love her throwing in the FAQ link about how to work the filter to spite my intelligence. XD

Here's why: no one besides me got up. Seriously.

I went to Termini a little late and discovered no one was there. I thought they might have left without me, so I tried to purchase a ticket to Naples, but they were sold out. I eventually discovered that no one had gotten up because Ben told me when I returned. so, I pretty much spent the whole day out and exploring the unfamiliar.

When I got back (a second time) I watched Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Stranger Than Fiction with Ben (Both awesome movies!)

Well, at least my day was a little fun. Too bad about Naples. I was so looking forward to trying out the prosti...I mean, pizza. Yeah...pizza.

- Synopses -

I did my chapter synopsis paper, which I posted here a while back, and everyone loved it. I was actually the only synopsis that was spoken with any emotion whatsoever, had outside sources that reinforced the chapter information, addressed the audience (which is something you ALWAYS do) and ending with such a high tone. I have no idea what my grade will be or when I'll get it back.

I also had a poetry synopsis to do which turned out equally well. :3 I had to decipher the Richard Wilbur poem "A Simile For Her Smile", a poem he wrote to his wife based on the cliche pick-up line "Your smile stops traffic". XD

- Flushing the Jon -

Jon the Kike finally got what was coming to him! (Note: For new watchers and visitors, I can't stress this enough, I am NOT antisemitic. This individual just plain gives the Jewish people a bad name with his behavior. I could go on, but I want to keep this journal as brief as possible. Bottom line: He's a sanctimonious jerk) He came back to the Villa a couple nights ago completely smashed, accompanied by some stranger, at around 3 am and they went and stayed in a room that only the monks are allowed to go in until around 6:30 am.

He has been severely campused (he his not permitted to leave villa grounds) and his heavily fined. Finally, after all his constant rule-breaking and rules-and-manners-don't-apply-to-me mentality, he got what he deserved. One thing he still does that everyone is trying to get him to stop doing is he just enters people's rooms without even knocking! DX

- TMC Rome Director A Sexist? -

Today we went to the Vatican Museum, and I had to ride in Mr. Assaf's car, scrunched up with 2 other guys and a girl (Will, Eva and Jeremiah), while three girls were in the back and one was in the front riding shotgun. Eleanor, who was in the back, suggested that Eva should have sat in the back with her and the two other girls.

Tony's response? "Uh, Eleanor, you can sleep now" I know this was just a joke, but it kind of got me to thinking: Is TMC imposing forced chivalry? Eleanor suggested that Eva sit with her and the others, despite them being scrunched up like us, so that Eva would feel possibly more comfortable being with other girls instead of being scrunched up between 2 guys. However, it would appear as though the idea of chivalry and gentlemanly etiquette, in the eyes of TMC, are something that is meant to inflict discomfort on men as much as possible if it spares the womenfolk any discomfort of their own.

I dunno. Maybe I'm taking it out of context, but it seems Chivalry and gentlemanly behavior is something that is best used when good conscience and the desire to be curtious to others is there. (Being a gentleman doesn't just apply to men being nice to women...)

Anyway...we got to the museum in one piece.

We had a Jewish (I think) female tour guide for the museum who was EPIC! XD She made all kinds of jokes and anecdotes as she taught us about the exhibits and ancient history. We also went to the Sistine Chapel and the tombs of the popes, where I saw the grave of Pope john Paul II (or John Paul the Great) (where I, at both places, kind of accidentally got photos of shortly BEFORE learning that photos weren't allowed! XD Man I'm stupid...) Anyway, it was quite the experience.

We also went inside the Vatican and I got some awesome shots of the marvelous works of art and the sunlight being cast through the windows. Again, quite the experience.

Well, here's the sad yet happy news:

I think Foresta is gone...

No, she's not dead, but I think she's adopted. I hadn't been to sanctuary for a while and decided to go after the Vatican. when I got there, her cage was still covered, as it has been for the past few weeks, and the name of a different cat was placed above it. she wasn't in any of the other cages either. None of the workers spoke English (figures) so I couldn't confirm this.

It's great if she is because she's got herself a nice home now and is making a cat owner out there very happy.

It's upsetting because I'll never get to see my baby again! ;^;

Anyway, the logic behind this answer was this:

There are two holes in a pair of scissors for putting fingers through, so I compared these to eyes, and the blades opening and closing as a mouth. Hence "Blind me".

The "flesh of trees" was supposed to be paper. Certain bark, to me, when a large piece is peeled off, looks like paper. Plus, paper is made from trees.

Yeah, but no one would have guess that because it was so poorly presented. I'll try to think of something better and less confusing. DX Sorry guys. ;^;

Prohibited content? Gee, I wonder what that could be? Of all the other posters I have, this is the ONLY ONE that has prohibited content. I wonder if it has anything to do with the guy with the brown skin toned face. Just a thought...

And "Art Theft"? Those images were found on Encyclopedia Dramatica, which are put there for both the lulz and for people to use! Probably some Anon guy reported the Motivation Poster 8 one... Well, two can play at this game! >:3

The correct answer is that he is a priest. I would have also accepted pastor or minister. Priest is the more appropriate because priests can't get married in the first place (Unless you happen to be Eastern Orthodox Catholic, then the rules don't apply to you XD).

The reason the fine is 5 euros is because, apparently, 5 euros is the cost of a meal at the villa and for the labor of making the food, and, if one does not sign out before lunch or dinner, then a deduction is made off the deposit. Even if one attends a meal and does not eat (due to lack of appetite or sickness), then it is just as bad.

However...

Food is not wasted here! We are fed leftovers like any other place! Just today, we had lasagna, potatoes and chicken for lunch. Take a guess at what we had for dinner? Aside from a fish dish and a rice dish, we had leftover lasagna potatoes and chicken from lunch. This tells me one of two things is true:

1. The director is issuing the fine to ensure we are eating well.
2. The director (as well as TMC) is trying to suck as much money as they can from us using monetary punishments for petty offenses.

I know I'm complaining a lot over 5 euros, but I have been sick a lot this year and I have not been attending meals because of these sicknesses. My body just wouldn't accept large amounts of food.

Before, he tried to fine us for missing breakfast (which was at 7:00 am, and, boy, did he make money off of THAT!) but, apparently, people started catching on about how all the food that was served either came in resealable packages or in jars. Basically, our breakfast was toast-crackers and jam. I call them "toast-crackers" because they were like tiny pieces of toast, but in a resealable package.

Also, eggs were rarely served. And even when they were, they were consumed quickly and completely. I think people started seeing that there wasn't much labor put into setting packages and jelly-jars on the table, so that was canceled.

Anyway, these fines for lunch and dinner are monotonous and just plain crazy in a place where money is tight for just about everyone. Hopefully the director is reading this right now, since he is apparently playing big brother with our blogs, facebooks and DA accounts too.

Well, peace out for now. I've got to write my synopsis for chapter 9 of Christ Our Joy (which I'll post on here when I'm done) Hopefully things will start looking up.

This morning, I found my 10 euro bill that I had in my wallet missing. I had reserved it for the trip to the Vatican Museum, which costs 12 euro. However, looks like THAT won't be possible for two reasons:

1. Thieves
2. I don't have 10 euros in change or in cash at the moment
3. They, like most places here, probably won't take credit cards.

speaking of credit cards, I swear, and I mean this in no way to be offensive to Italians, as I am one myself, but, Italian shopkeeps have no idea how to work a credit card! They think it's a debit card and, when I try to tell them it's a credit card, they have no clue as to what I'm talking about.

Just today, I went to the grocery store, because, apparently, it was Allie's birthday (a Ave Maria student) yesterday and I never knew about it until too late, and I wanted to get her a small gift. Well, the cashier either had no idea how to work a credit card (like some of the other people here) because he said I had no mony on my credit card. That's impossible because there's no way I've spent over, well, the spending limit on said card. This is also when I discovered that I had no cash on me because my 10 euro bill was missing, much to my embarrassment

Now some of you might be saying "Well, you could have spent it and forgotten", but this is not true at all, as I have tried my dangest not to spend cash on anything except bus tickets, which is what I have been doing when I'm outside of Rome or when I need to pay admission to a museum or something, and we haven't done either for some time.

I have a couple of suspects in mind, but I have no way to prove that they did it. I suspect Jon the Jew primarily because, well, he's a dick who claims that he's uber-rich, but I doubt it wholeheartedly. Plus, I'm just such an easy target because I'm so damn trusting of everyone.

Well, now being here in Rome is just one nightmare after another. It seems as though Dr. Connell was right in what he aid about Rome:

"It brings out thing in people, both good and bad. No matter who you are, it'll reveal things to you never knew about yourself. Rome just does that to people."

He's right. It has brought things out in people. It's brought out their greed and utter disrespect for others, and, as for me, it's brought out a stronger sense who who my true friends are and the courage to dispose of them when such a misuse of that friendship has made itself known.

But it all comes crashing down when eventually...

I refuse to ask for money from people, because then I am no better than the booze-buying bums who only ask for money to get wasted. I almost feel like stowing away on a plane and coming home. Sigh...

Gypsies, thieves, and fake schizos. These are whom I'm surrounded by.

Could anything possibly make this worse?

What's worse is, even though I just told you I was going to make a sprite comic and have (almost) all the means of doing it, I can't start till probably next month, or when I get a wee bit of free time. I have 3 major presentations due three weeks in a row!

1 - Give (15 minute)synopsis of Chapter 9 "Joy in the Eucharist" from the book, Christ Our Joy. (Due this coming Thursday for Theology)*

2 - Go to a "space" (pretty much a church interior or a plaza) and discuss the structure, texture, form and background of the area. (Due November 15th)

3 - Go to a museum that we have not gone to as a class and talk about the collection of exhibits as a whole. Then, find one work and talk about it in great detail. Get a photo or postcard. Research may be required. **

*Wow. The chapter technically isn't even 8 pages long, (due to numerous footnotes and other stuff) yet you (the monsignor) REALLY expect me to give you a 15 minute waste-of-time synopsis on a chapter written in such a manner a friggin BABY could understand it? If I did a synopsis that long, I'd have to bullshit half of it, and I, monsignor, do NOT bullshit...

Seriously, read it yourself and you'll see that it's extremely hard to drag something like that out to 15 minutes. The other students, well, pretty much did what I don't do: bullshit.

**As if I didn't have enough money problems here in Italy, I need to spend money or my grade will suffer. I feel like I'm buying my grade here. I'm even debating if I'm even gonna bother doing this paper! Heck, I should probably just look up "Rome Museums", find a painting and just work from there, being the cheap-ass cheat that I am. XD

I'm not even motivated to write in my Rome journal because nothing has really been happening. I mean, today I tried to go out and have a good time, but it started down pouring and it even look like we were gonna get lightning, so I had to head back.

Sigh, geez, I hope I recover from this soon...

Well, I've been slowly making progress on the game, but it's not exactly going all that quickly because I'm still testing some instructions people gave me. Sixal's final ability, Checkmate, is taking long to complete because of the animation. (Yeah, it's gonna be kinda long)

I've also been trying my damnedest to make my own materials for the game, but RPG Maker is being a baby and won't accept anything I put into it, constantly spitting the error message: INVALID COLOR DEPTH at me, even though it's saved under 256-color bitmap! DX Man this thing is pathetic!

Good God, by the time I'm actually done with this game, it'll be the year 2597... x_x


- On College life -

Well, other than the projects I mentioned earlier. I pretty much have nothing much to say, except the fact that, if there's anything I've gained from Rome, it's a greater appreciation for the US of A! Yeah, these Bible-humpers will probably expect me to write about how I just soul-gasmed over God everyday I was here. (Even though there's, oh, I don't know...MORE TO ROME THAN THE CHURCHES!)

Seriously, we have only gone to about 3 or 4 ruin sites. That's it. We have barely learned any or Rome's ancient history or anything. And, when we did, it somehow reverted to Christianity and how it's so badass...

I personally find it offensive, as one of Roman heritage, that the Church tore down temple and built churches over them. Thanks a lot, Papa, you just destroyed historical landmarks of my ancient ancestors! Eh, whatever. Can't do much about it now. Bought the only thing close to a temple I can see now are either churches whose stairs came from other temples or the temple to Jupiter in the Ruins of Antiqua, and that's closed to the public. And NO, I will NOT call him that shit Greek name "Zeus". RESPECT MY GODS!

Reminds me of a little argument I had with aka aka (or whatever the frig she wants to call herself. She has, like, what, seven accounts?!)

I know this game is for Wii through WiiWare, and I'm hoping to be able to get it soon so I can play this for myself! It seems like FF4 would be an unlikely title to sequel, but, eh, it's cool.

Oh, and speaking of Final Fantasy 5 and ExDeath, we went to this one church recently that, before the place was built, was cursed because it was where Nero was buried. There was also a walnut tree near his grave. The pope at the time cut it down, and it is often depicted as, out of the cut, demons coming out.

This reminded me of ExDeath's story, because he is made from all the evil that was sealed within a tree in the Forbidden Forest. Hmmm, I wonder if Nero would have returned as a demonic, armored warlock if the pope had let the tree stay there...

So, I happen to find this in somebody's favorites: and, naturally, I went and looked at what it meant and the comments on it.

Let me say that it was not the poster of the deviation nor was it any commenter that made the statement presented in the title. hat was from a documentary I will describe later.

First off, the procedure is a CHOICE. It's not mandatory or anything like that. If you don't want your son to have a circumcision after birth, fine. No one is going to heckle you for it! DX He can get it remove if he wants to later. Heck, a my friend's husband wasn't circumcised and she didn't complain. Goodness...

As I watched the documentary that was constantly talked about in the comments (namely: Penn & Teller: Circumcision is BULLSH*T!) I did learn about the health benefits of a circumcision:

1. Prevention of severe urinary tract infection

2. during intercourse, the foreskin my get torn (or have little tears on it due to it's delicacy)

3. Less likely to get STDs.

4. 2-7x less likely to get AIDS

Now, of course, Penn and Teller just HAD to talk about condoms preventing the last two, but you know me when it comes to condoms, so screw that.

What really grinds my gears is the comment made by a choking-up Linda Otis:

"It's the most brutal thing I've ever seen in my life"

Oh really? Lady, watch a fetus get ripped apart by a doctor and thrown into the trash, and THEN tell me that it's more brutal than cutting a little bit of penal skin off.

"Even though the infant feels this pain, (the baby) recovers very quickly" - Dr. Ed (Can't really hear the last name), pediatrician.

Geez, at least it doesn't frickin DIE! DX It's amusing to see people say "It's cruel to the child because of the pain and trauma", yet they ignore a woman who has post abortion syndrome and the pain of the fetus.

"It's a crime! It's a sex crime!", says Marylin Marlos, director of the National Organization of Circumcision Information Research Centers (NOCIR). (Wow, people waste time on this crap? How about a cure for cancer?)

First off, they ASK YOU FIRST if you want the circumcision done. Again, it's hilarious how these people talk about a baby's rights and how brutual it is, but these individuals are most likely the same people who advocate abortion and fetal destruction. It's all fun and games until someone get's their...foreskin cut?

"Why are we allowing this traumatic, painful, unnecessary, brutal surgery to be done to our babies" - The pro-life view on abortion, and Marylin Marlos' view on circumcision...

"Studies show that the nervous system (of a baby) is hyper developed! They feel MORE pain than adults do" - Mark Reese, retarded physician. (Whoops, I mean, retired physician! Sorry, doc.)

We can prove the doctor wrong by referring back to Dr. Ed's statement:

"Even though the infant feels this pain, (the baby) recovers very quickly"

Now, here's one of the narrator's saying some stupid things:

"What kind of nut would be against sexual pleasure?"

Well, sorry for being pro-Kellogg*... And sorry that sex is the only thing on your mind.

"The vast majority of the world knows that there's no reason to circumcise!"

Apparently, you should tell that to the good pediatrician if you're so sure.

One person on the show said that we circumcise because it's an aesthetic reason. Uh, a majority of people who get circumcisions do it for religious reasons, not because it's a norm.

"Babies don't get to choose" - pro-life argument against abortion, and...the narrator's statement against circumcision.

"I am angry at doctors who like to play with baby boy's penises and cut 'em off" - Wayne Griffith, co-founder of National Organization of Restoring Men. (NORM)

Hey, that spells NORM, which is what these people are sick of hearing when someone says circumcisions are the norm. Interesting... Basically, they restore foreskin. We have face jobs, boob jobs, and, now, foreskin jobs. Lovely...

Anyway, I got pranked today based on my suicide prank! See, the person I pranked got upset and nervous about it (Success!) and told another Jon (the Jew I've been writing about who keeps saying how great he is) , who told Paul, the DOSL. Well, Jon came up with idea that Ben ought to hide my laptop and Paul should write a note on my desk saying the following:

"Your prank for Halloween was in bad taste, so I have confiscated your computer for one week."

I had trouble believing it was not a prank, but I couldn't be sure. congrats on such an epic prank, guys! You did an awesome job!

So, those of you saying I would reap my reward for doing such a horrible prank were right. I got about 3 hours of no computer time. (Which was mostly spent at a Halloween party! XD)

Anyway, I'm gonna start posting more stuff soon, just as soon as I take care of that suicide deviation...

President Obama received some great news this week: people love him...

In Europe.

In a recent Gallup poll, European views of American leadership have increased substantially in almost every nation polled.

And why wouldn't they love Obama?

Since the day he took office, the President has been apologizing for the United States and has given in to demands from the rest of the world. And what has this cost them? Nothing. No significant increase in troops for Afghanistan, no increase in funding for the "NATO-led" war effort.
