As I like to say "First there was Lesta". Lesta is the screen name of photographer Nataliya Petrova who happens to be my first "photographic love". I began following her works when her style was much darker than it is now. The exceptional models, their costumes, the way she thinks a photograph has grown to be simply outstanding. It is very true that she has put a lot of effort into it doing workshops, experimenting and when she posted something it was only her best work. Her "Dark Esthetic" gallery ( [link] ) is my favourite and it contains one of the pictures that has obsessed me for years: [link] . One of the models she works with really often is Frau and you should check out her series "Who made you the hero?( "[link]). I can blab about what I think of her all day long but it is better if you took a glimpse at her woks.

Great photographer from Ukraine, Alexander Shatsky, has captured in his pictures an atmosphere that I find quite charming. It's just something about each and every work he does that makes me come back for another look. I linger on his gallery and I have the feeling every model is talking to me. It's hard to say which model or photo I like best but I surely enjoyed the session with Black Angel and Sore. ( [link] ) he hasn't given us anything new since June but I am pretty sure that when he'll post new stuff they will be as interesting as everything he has done until now. Run and see!

These two are really out standing photographers and I don't know how to divide my love between them. Why? Josefine JÃ¶nsson (=Bloddroppe) is exceptional, dark to the point of macabre, extremely dedicated but a bit too bloody at times (Can you image that? Something being too bloody for me?). I'm not going to lie I adore her. Her "_dead or alive 04." is one of my all time favourite photos and if you'll go here [link] you will understand why. The coldness of the colours that she sometimes uses just freeze your soul. Two words: Freaking Beautiful! But then we have Elizabeth May (=Auriethepixie) who can joggle between the most colourful photographs to dark tones and still preserve her own outstanding style. How could you not adore her wicked and vampiric self portraits? ( [link] ) And now throw your eyes at the pictures done with Renae (a beautiful redhead) and especially at this [link] . Tell me that isn't beautiful...

Actually, I'd like your opinion on these artists... curiosity..

The agony of my concert photos is over... A lot of gothic centered photos are waiting for me to submit them. I am still furious the Nikon died exactly at MDB's performance. Nikon - you failed me!
So... what did you think? Considering this was my first big gig...? It will get better, I promise... but I have to thank a special miss for my press pass and everything... Lena, if you're reading this... I love you. She made me feel special...

Also, good news... Gabriel interested people... as you could already see... I added something to "I Sleep".. it's really important... and another addition to "Enchanting Requiem" will follow cause I kinda messed up the narration with my little "i am drunk and miserable" story in "I Sleep". Don't get me wrong... that part still stands... but I'll need to fix everything. You can curse me afterward.

I want to thank my models again and to say that I'm quite pleased. All the photos were collected 67 times and were viewed on 649 occasions. I hope they will gather more than this.
Thank you to some special persons that showed me their support : ~nightfallrose and ~OrderOfShadows. I loved getting so much attention from you guys. And I could add *Metal-Goddess and =Dina-bv for their favorites and comments. Of course, they were many more. I adore each and every one of you. All you people that don't talk often but you've been me since a while now.

I'm not being a hypocrite. I don't need favorites on my tribute to MJ. I just needed to not feel alone in my sadness. But I'm glad Jacko is in a better place now. As I said, I wasn't a die hard fan, I haven't seen him live but I grew up with his music and a single magazine with him on the cover. Just how I cherished that magazine when I was little, I now cherish his songs and the person that he was. Nobody is going to surpass his talent.

RIP, Jacko. You've found peace at last.

The only thing that keeps me excited and happy these days is the upcoming Artmania festival where bands like: Tristania, My Dying Bride, Opeth and Nightwish will play. I must admit...I'm going for Tristania (even though Vibeke's replacement is pathetic) and for this I need to thank my mistress, =Eternal-aphelion. It was along her side that I discovered this music and what can I say? I'll love her forever.
I am absolutely dying to see and hear My Dying Bride again... I'm almost hyper. But THAT you already knew... Nothing surprising there.

Who's going? Maybe we'll meet there.

Visual Rock Fantasy

presupune imbinarea unor ingrediente, aparent din lumi diferite: lucrari artistice in domeniul vizual, concert live sustinut de formatia ACT, insotit deun test drive moto extraordinar al celor mai noi modele Suzuki, expozitie depostere artistice si sculpturi metalice si o degustare de vinuri.

Lucrarile foto si photoshop vor fi proiectate in aer liber, pe un ecran de 25 mp. Cei 22 de artisti expozanti au si misiunea de a-si alege fiecare un fundal sonor adecvat, din sfera muzicii rock, pe care isi vor prezenta lucrarile. Pana in acest moment si-au anuntat participarea artisti din: SUA, Franta, Suedia si Romania. O prezenta fascinanta va fi Ia Bjargo, solista cunoscutei formatii suedeze Arcana.

Between the 22 artists there are many names that would sound familiar to you from around dA. It sounds like an cool idea, I gladly accepted to participate as I love the fact that something like this is organized around here.

While doing this I had another brilliant idea... (well to tell the truth i stole =Dina-bv's idea) I will try the news... maybe it will work. because i have so many features and so many categories to place them in.

Mood

I've been struck by... loneliness. I'm not sad, depressed... yet I'm so conscious I'm alone, at times. I'm so lucid and I can see it clearly. And in these moments I feel... old. So, dreadfully, old. I have this stupid impression I own my friends... that I must protect them and that they should love me. The majority of my beloved friends are far... I just lost faith. Sure, call me a spoiled brat... people in Iraq are dying as I'm writing this, yet I do not care about them... It was high-time I cared about myself. And I do. And I see my loneliness. There are persons who would like to be besides me, but it just can't be. I understand.
The good part is my protector is back to me. He arrived last night... and I feel better knowing him around. He, "a bit like an archangel looking for a lost sword" when he scolds me about my foolishness... and then he smiles, as always... remembering how he was "at my age". He then leans over to kiss me and walks away.
Again... I'm not sad. I'm not depressed. I'm just... alone.

1. [link] "Old Memory" by

This is, in my view, one of Ketmara's best shots with ~AgathaScarlet as model. The idea isn't I new one by you must appreciate the boldness of the model that took off her shoes because that gives extra naturalism to the shot. Also, the girl seems like floating, expressing gentleness but as a contrast she is walking on graves. The shot fives the impression she is counting her beloved dead. Good idea and composition yet the shot looks like something pretty spontaneous.

2. [link] ÂShrouded, they mourn" by

Probably, he is going to be surprised by my choice but this is a photograph that I often find myself admiring. It's useless to mention that the grainy look simply fits the atmosphere of this photograph, many other people try to obtain that effect but simply fail. The expression of his face says everything... you can almost feel the grief and hear the silent cry. This face can be compared to a soul... and I think this portrait is one of the most impressive I've seen.

Let us say that the fact that I was with ~eucontramea at this concert doesn't matter.... but I still remember how fascinated we were when he came back after Anathema started playing with a series of these beautiful photos. I would suggest him to put the rest up as well. What this photo needed was a better position of the camera and maybe just a little PS action. However, the blue-green light creates a beautiful atmosphere... The bars seem like the gates of Hell (he must get that often) so, the conclusion would be: "In Hell they Rock/Metal all the way!"

A journal dedicated to the manifestation that took place in my town - The Bucovina Drama Festival. It was simply overwhelming to breath in the scent of the stage again. Please, let me get all melancholic on you just this once because I love the wood of the stage under my bare feet or the song my shoes leave when I step on it, the dusty, old curtains and the silence of the people who watch you or the silence of the empty chamber.

The competition didn't matter because I was with my friends from the group making jokes that only we knew, laughing and crying because life will split us up very soon. I love them all and I know I will lose them. And the sad part is that we breath as one while on stage.

These are the press' comments about our represantation:
"But The Knockers, the last group to enter the stage made the crowed go silent"

"I saw people rasing from their chairs to have a better sight of the chess game that the actors were playing on stage"

"A preformance that would dare even a professionist actor to think twice"

"A morbid theme but somewhat so surreal and philosophical."

We won the biggest prize in the contest and we were congratulated by everyone. We appeared on stage smiling, laughing embracing each other... and the others understood what makes us so special:
"In Knockers there is no me... there is US."

Please forgive my for this journal entry... It's pathetic but this is how I feel... pathetically in love with them all and with what they represent...
