I don't mean just in terms of printing a copy of an image or patterns (though they're also interesting), but the art of printmaking.
While I was always at least fond of it, I'd lie if I said that I appreciated it as much as it deserves before I've dabbled in it back when I was an art student (even went as far as implementing it into my Master's Thesis). In fact I get an impression that, overall, printing techniques and creative ways they can be utilized are quite under-appreciated.

With that said - I don't mean to state that originality in itself doesn't matter, because it does. It's just that I kinda get an impression that many people are obsessed with being original or unique, while hardly ever thinking about what those words can mean (and not just in a dictionary sense).
It's not a new or isolated tendency, of course, but since originality is definitely important in art/personal expression and since it IS an art community... ;P

I've been inactive for a while and it's not that it didn't happen without any good reasons... well, at least a few of them were^^;

One of the main reasons I've been on the Net so scarcely was... well, lack of access to it. The problem began around October, but for last two months it was unstable to the point of being unsuable. It still isn't completely fixed, but at least it's now stable enough to consider that it's back.

I don't sit in the topic too deep, but I couldn’t help to notice that the general "fur is bad" discussion (?) often it appears to be yet another thing that is not based on facts or reason as much as it is on emotions and trend.

Like - it's really, royally screwed up and I somehow can't fix it.

Sometimes I can't sleep for two days, sometimes I just need two hours of sleep and sometimes I go to sleep at reasonable hour and wake up 12 hours later (while unconsciously switching off a chain of alarms in my phone :|).

It's not something that happened recently - I am a creature of the night, I've always had troubles waking up in the morning. I just really, REALLY like to work or simply enjoy time when the world around me sleeps.

It's still sort of unofficial, but apparently not only I've defended my thesis, but I also got 5 (an A) from it.
Which is sort of... well, unbelievable for me, as things were getting quite bad at some point and I've spend about half of September and basically all October trying to rescue it. Phew!
And since I'm the kind of 'seeing-is-believing' person, I'm waiting for the grade to be confirmed in official papers I'd be getting some time from now. It appears however that whatever I've got, I AM PAST THIS THING :excited:!

Recently my sister became interested with the topic of jewelry making and she begun dabbling in it herself - after 1,5 month of trying and learning basics it appears that she's found her artistic calling!

She's still learning, still trying to gain confidence in many mediums, but I can say that she's positively hooked.

Many times when I sit before clean canvas (digital or not) or paper it stays blank - not because I suffer from idea drought, but because I have too many ideas flooding my mind (although they're not necessarily good ones) and I have no clue which to do first or next.

Aaaaaargh.... I'm counting days for my exam session to end. With that comes a question - is there any type of food that you like, even though it's often a topic of nightmares for many people (or, at least, they are stereotypically presented that way?).

It doesn't have to be anything eccentric, like insects or snake hearts or whatever, but e.g. things which many of us were forced to eat while we were kids, thus many associate them with unpleasant - traumatic even - experiences and dislike simply for that reason.
