The opportunity came to me with my DM Class Final Project of the school year. Since we didn't get to learn how to Adobe Flash, I decided to do the traditional "Draw, Scan, and Trace" with a pencil and paper to create a music video. it won't be 30fps though due to the lack of time I had when I received the assignment. The smoothest animation you'll get would be made up of 3 frames. =/

If you're familiar with the popular YouTube Poopers, the late IAmTheGang made a video of the same song starring King Harkinian. My video will be somewhat relative concept-wise on parts basically because I couldn't think of any better ideas. Right now, I'm a minute and ten seconds into the song, and I'm pumped to end the project and show everybody. The only worry I have is scanning all the frames and sticking them all into iMovie in time to write the video and audio and turn it in. I have until Friday of this week which gives me two Study Hall periods, so I'm very optimistic at this point.

Once I have a raw file of the .mov, I'll put a link in my gallery as well as upload it to my YouTube Channel.

Now, I'm doing a trade with . This is the third time I'm asking someone to draw Kirt, so I'll be developing two more OCs so people will think I'm more original than drawing only a Raccoon/Rabbit/Serval/Mobian/Ottsel/Marsupilami crossover.

And now for a useless fact: the purple car I mentioned in my previous entry is a 2002 PT Cruiser. I'm a little tall for it, but that's okay. It has a sunroof so I can poke my head out while I'm driving.

I slipped on my grades a bit, so as a guy with the best parents in the world, I am grounded (no sarcasm). I'm restricted from Photoshop and the Internet in general (I'm typing this from my laptop just to get this out to you), and Steam, which means System and I can't blow each other's brains out on TF2.

Oh, well. HE LAGS ANYWAY.

So, until I get my grades up, I'll mainly be in to check messages, deviations, notes, and whatnot. As much as I want to get on Photoshop and submit something new, I can't. It's not all that bad, but I'd at least want to create something.

Meh. It's better than having a greater chance of being supreme chancellor of Corn Land for the rest of my life.

However, by this Friday, more stuff will be in, including the possibility of a few more scraps, another Mike n' Kirt comic, and my trade with =Impish Vermin.

Yes, all you racists better get used to it. Barack H. Obama is now the 44th and 1st African-American President of the United States of America. I've developed a lot of respect for him since after the election due to gut feelings. I'm pretty sure he'll lead us into taking care of our problems. It's LIEK HOLEE CARP ON TEH PEDESTAL.

He screwed up on the oath, but heck, under the pressure of the entire world watching, he stayed cool nonetheless. That's a good sign, right?

I can get Counter-Strike: Source + Garry's Mod for $25 and Audiosurf for $10 which takes only about $35 off of me to get a new set of earphones for my iPod.

Or I can get Left 4 Dead (which by the way is my favorite Zombie Survival game of all time for just playing the demo) and get a few packs of Juicy Fruit.

Or I can get a mic headset for the games I currently have with a Wireless router to give my Wii Wi-Fi along with internetz access to a bojankity laptop I just got from my dad.

Or I can put the money in my savings account so I have some bailout money in the future.


Life just runs my mind ragged when I have a good bundle of money. :/

And I heart it.


Turns out the exaggeration of my hate for the Wii was put up too soon. I had the first workout I've had in months, my parents decided to throw in Raving Rabbids TV due to high demand from my sisters (and I've gotta say, it's the funniest game I've ever played since WarioWare Inc.), and I've never seen my Mom so active or entertained by a video game....EVER.

On top of it, I got the scanner anyway.
And the Mii channel is sending me on a doodle rampage.....
And so is Raving Rabbids....
And my parents highly support the console which means they'd give some deep consideration for what I have to say about the games which will probably get me Brawl sooner....

Since everyone's doing it, I'd say it's about time I do my first one.

This girl is just AWESOME. She's done the most fanart of me than...well, anyone.

BECAUSE WE GOT THIS EVIL HARDWARE SPAWNED BY SATAN.

Which means, I'm not getting a scanner. Which means, PS jobs are still gonna take a lot of time. Which means, my doodle folder is gonna stack a mile high and it'll be harder to bring myself to do all of them.

This also means our little Gamecube of joy that I've loved for years will be obsolete as of December 25th. In fact, all other Nintendo systems are pretty much obsolete as well with the Wii's virtual console. And get this: the Wii will be in the basement, which means I can't even take advantage of Wi-Fi is I wanna brawl with you guys. Actually, I won't even be brawling anytime soon with you guys due to the fact that my parents think they've spent enough on the Wii for a few months just by buying it.

IT ALL JUST MAKES ME WANNA

When we pull out the Wii on Thursday, I'm gonna stab it.

Here, I'll do trades with anybody and there's a good chance Photoshop will be involved in my part of the trade.

Only if you're willing to give an honest effort in your part of the trade, I'll be more than happy to participate.

Photoshop will most definitely be involved here along with my best effort. Here are the prices.

$3 - Character Sketch w/ Background

$5 - Character Colored, add. $1 for another character

$7 - Two Characters Maximum, Background, All Colored

$10 - 6-Panel Comic, add. $2 for Color

Also, if you believe these prices are unreasonable, let me know so I can reconsider. I know my art's not the greatest, so I just wanna be fair.

So, I've recently checked and reviewed my gallery (drawings, doodles, Photoshop'd jobs, literature, etc.). Now I've come to significant conclusion...that I'm way too serious.

When I started my comics back in the era of 3 episodes of Super Mario Bros. Z, they not only brought out my humorous side of my talents, but also the storytelling side. I very much enjoyed doing them until the demand for them prevented me from doing my own regular work. So, I joined deviantART and let my pencil go crazy.

Unfortunately, I started a fan-fiction about my ego character and being the writer I am, I tended to establish the feeling and emotion before I could hit the humor. That's probably one of the reasons I'm barely getting any comments on them; it's too boring for the beginning.

So, I've made a decision (because nobody pays attention to my polls) to stop submitting Mike's Legacy on deviantART. I've developed an opinion that this place is meant more for art and not fan-fictions of an ego. Heck, of all places for a setting, it has to be Mobius. Geez, I'm not that big of a Sonic fan and yet the existence of my fan-fiction are saying I'm a total fanatic, at least from my POV.

I want Mike and Kirt to be funny, not constantly arguing about sticking together because they're not in a good spot and have to deal with trust. Besides, in most doodles I don't post on dA, they beat the living crap out of each other and I love drawing their sticky situations. Now, I was planning to introduce a few more characters into the story and hopefully have some situations for some LOL's, but I don't think it's that big of a deal anymore, especially since I'm putting a lot into descriptions and all and yet have on comment on every chapter on average.

I've asked, I've begged, and I got nothing. Mike's Legacy has got to go.

BUT...

...if I have a majority demand for it to keep going, I might continue it, and I might stick them all in scraps. Everyone has 2 days to reply to this before I remove ML for good.

Though, whatever happens, from now on, I want to make people laugh with 83% of the deviations I submit.

Yeah, I don't have a lot to say, but I just needed to update since my last entry was on the 2nd.

I'm almost done with my art trade with . I have the lineart done, but I'm still shallow on deciding the PS job for it (the technique from my recent deviations or the technique from my old ones). But if Tero wants to tell me hims-*ahem*-herself, then she can.

I dunno if I should, but I'm thinking of extending my entry space yet again for the significance of making room for current Collabs, Art Trades, and Requests (though with the progress of all of them being sucky lately, I just might not). I'll get that squared away eventually.

It's like I have a whole extra day.

Anywhooz, just a few things to square away.


Saw Max Payne today. Didn't play the game, but MAN was it awesome. If you take Jason Bourne, give him a shotgun, and open a portal to the depths of hell, you get Max Payne.
Wait, that kinda sounds like Constantine, doesn't it? Yeah well, it's still an awesome movie.

I just now realized that 's character is in fact a hedgehog. I dunno, the first thing that struck me on first sight was a cat or a combo of a cat and hedgehog (believe me, Sonic fans can get that creative <_< ). So, I believe an edit is in order. :mallet:

I'm thinking about taking a break from YouTube and dA, though I don't know when I'll take it. There's a chance I won't anyway, but I'm considering it. A few things have come up and if I take care of them, I'll definitely take some time off.

Most of my current deviations require a Photoshop job. And for some reason, it's hard to bring myself to do it. I dunno what it is and I doubt I'm gonna find out, sooooooooooooooo....I'll just wait and see.

I have a few new chapters of Mike's Legacy done, though I don't want a bunch of literary deviations on my front page. If I do that, people will think I'm not that artistic. So until I have a few PS jobs in, I'll submit another chapter, as well as re-write the first chapter since it's HORRIBLE.

I'm thinking about deleting my review videos on the upcoming Sonic games. Everyone who's commenting on it is telling me the same thing over and over, and they're gonna be obsolete once the games get released anyway. Though, this doesn't mean I'm gonna quit doing reviews, even though that's not something I'm going to give my undivided focus to.

Finally, does anyone play America's Army? If you don't have the Orange Box, then this game is the only way you'll be able to play with me (since I'm the only gamer in the US without a Wii). And if you do have the Orange Box, then why the heck haven't you told me your Steam name yet?!

But other than laziness, I've been submitting recent deviations that have proved to be my best so far. I haven't been on Mike's Legacy lately or my collab with System. I really want to get back to them apart from my YouTube video frenzy.

So that's just what's been going on with me. Also, I finally convinced my dad to upgrade our PC to get another GB of RAM and a graphics card. So now, I can finally play The Orange Box! W0oT!

So, it's been a while since I've updated my journal and now seemed a good time.


My creativity level is slowly regenerating, and to me, that's incredible. I've been doing absolutley nothing productive (besides guitar) this summer, and drawing is one of my big anti-drugs.
Though, Photoshop is giving me a little trouble (but not the "Error" or "Lag" kinda trouble). My last PS attemt went by smoothly because of the Magic Wand tool. It selected all the pixels of the area I want to color in (for example, the pupil of an eye) and made it faster for me to stick in the solid color. But now, it only selects all the similar color pixels of the entire picture. So, I might've changed a setting or whatnot before I used the tool, but I can't remember what it was.

The "LIEK OMG" deviation was all paintbrush. i didn't even know the Magic Wand exsisted at the time.


Now on to YouTube. I'll be uploading more videos in the near future on my alt channel.....which is now my channel channel. The other one is gay, but since some people like what's on there, I'm not going to close it. If you subscribed to it however, unsubscribing would be appreciated.

But now, I'll be posting videos of relevance to the Background Picture (yes, King Harkinian wants you to scrub the floors of Hyrule) and some other random crap.


Finally, I'm still stuck on Mike's Legacy. I know what happens in the beginning, but I just can't bring myself to start writing it. It's really wierd, this situation.

Maybe I need my sister to cheer me on. <_<

Well, for the most part...

So here's the thing: I install Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal, 'kay? Then, I launch Half-Life 2, and I had to end up restarting the PC a few times just to start a new game. About 10 seconds into G-Man's wake up call, the game gets stuck and 1 second of the current audio loops over and over. So I had to reboot it again.

Then I say to myself "Okay, Half-Life 2 can wait." So I launch Team Fortress 2, and guess what? The same thing happened. The menu screwed up and connecting to servers got stuck as well. Then after rebooting twice, I start my own server, and the graphics lag up my computer, until it freezes my screen altogether.

So that pretty much put me in a bad mood. Then I went to a friend's 16th birthday party, and quickly murdered my agony from the Orange Box.

Then I come home and launch Portal. Finally, it works, but very slowly. So the conclusion?

It's really the computer causing the trouble. Just like when I tried to get my scanner to work. Only not as bad.


Surprisingly.


To tell you the truth, my PC has so many bugs and errors on it, it's anything but funny. I got it about 2 years ago and it's pretty recent. It's not outdated or anything. It's just that Me and my sisters decided to go insane and net-download the heck out of it. This is why I can't to Skype, which I was hoping I could do with . Sadly, I can't do much of anything until The PC's thouroughly scanned, cleaned, and fixed.

Let alone playing Team Fortress.

If any good came out of the $40 out of my wallet today, it's that the games do indeed work, and that Team Fortress online is free. Once I'm in the right spot, I will be able to play Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal.

Also, congrats to the UK for finally getting Brawl.
