While 'Wikiped'ing some Digimon so I could learn to draw them, I noticed at the bottom a list of the Digimon games. The one that stuck out for me was "Racing". I clicked on it and sure enough..

It's a GBA game.

Yay! I can play it in VisualBoyAdvance! So I went ahead and did.

I'm not as good at it as I am at Mario Kart.

This video is me battling Omnimon in Digimon Racing. I was playing as Gabumon. Oh, and you can pick the color of your kart, unlike Mario Kart, where the color depends on your character.

My graphics card hasn't done anything weird since yesterday. I think it was just ATItool failing to load properly.

Also, I'm learning how to draw Gabumon. I have a couple of pictures done, but I want to get better before I start posting them up here. I have one at FA, but it didn't get anything. I'm hoping to find a good way to draw him AND get a scanner so I can stop using my goddamn webcam to get my pictures to my computer.

The graphics card in my desktop computer is having trouble. I'll explain what happened..

I turned my computer on as normal and waited for everything to load.. I remember that ATITool loads automatically to set my clock speed up when my computer loads, but since my room was always warm, I opened it again to underclock. I set my clock speed WAY down (default is around 580/400, I was using 64/68) and then minimized it. While poking around YouTube, I noticed the pages were scrolling extremely slow, even for a low clock speed. This was unusual.. I checked the temperature.

145 degrees.

That can't be right, it doesn't even reach 120 at normal clock speed! Bad news was, that number was going higher! I opened a game (TrackMania) to check for problems, and sure enough..

There were artifacts. Triangles all over the main menu of my game! D:
I ALT-ENTERed out of my game (making it in windowed mode) and checked the temperature again.

170 degrees!

Just as I started to record a video about my video card, it went back to normal, game stopped artifacting and the temperature dropped to 80 degrees. As of writing this, it's running at 89 at normal clock speed.

This goes to show that messing with clock speeds can be dangerous for your video card.. But I turned mine down to PREVENT this. Why does a low speed make it overheat more?

I got help with them and now I have a sun and a spade in my name. I can also hex-edit them in, so if you want a Mii with them in your name, you can ask me. I have: Thick left arrow, thick right arrow, sun, cloud, clock, envelope, umbrella, cellphone, L-trigger, R-trigger, A-button, B-button, X-button, Y-button, D-pad, spade, clubs, snowman, Â. It's not that long, seriously.

Now, onto the big part.

I haven't been posting any. Why? I just haven't been drawing. I haven't been in the right mood. I did a few pictures, but they don't seem good enough to upload. Now, there is ONE picture that I want to upload, but my English teacher has t because I used it for my English project.

My English project was to draw a propaganda poster about anything we wanted. What did I draw?
Bowser, Bowser Jr and a couple Paratroopas, Bowser's castle on a sunny day. The text says "The Mushroom Kingdom has been lying." and "Help us take down the Mario Bros.". The bottom says "Join the Koopa Troop". The top says "Help us give the Mario Bros a 'game over' so we can have a 'free life'"

I think it's one of the best pictures I drew for a while. I'll be putting it up with the other pictures I like a lot on my wall. x3

I like my English teacher a lot. I mean, he got me to draw something after having an art block for a while. I couldn't think of anything on my own, but after thinking a little about the project, I realized that it would help me! I drew my poster in about an hour-and-a-half, all colored and everything. I passed it in to him and I'll get it back on Tuesday.

In the meantime, I'll be playing Mario Kart and RPing with people. If anyone wants to talk, add me.

1) I didn't get transferred to the school my cousins go to. In that same school is where 99.9999% of my friends go to.

I have hacks, though I won't use them if you want to race. Note, though.. If you join a Worldwide race I'm in, you will usually see me hacking o,o;;. I'm a FTL (For the lose, ot for the lulz) hacker most of the time, but if another hacker joins that is FTW (For the win, durr), then I'll change my VR to be Guest and beat them. I VR drained one named "Kadabra" and their friend "Jynx".. They were on the same system, but Jynx was the guest doing all the hacking.. I attacked Kadabra constantly and placed just in front of them, causing VR drain for them until they stopped being FTW. They didn't stop, so I left eventually, after taking ~2500 VR from them.

Otherwise, you'll see me with either between 9500-9999 VR, or with 35249 VR.

Had internet problems on my laptop. Deleted Norton Internet Security and it disabled my network cards. =S
My character's Koopa form is now upgraded to Hammer Bro. It's mostly just a look change.
One of my computers are formatted.. My dad said that my main one will NOT be formatted.. but he's still keeping it at his house so my brother can use it for gaming (even though right now, my brother uses my dad's computer and it's all fine and dandy). That computer is still having BIOS errors.
Found out that DirectX 10 cannot run DirectX 8 games..
Played Smash Bros Melee after not playing Brawl for a couple days.. Realized that Lucario wasn't there, so I played as Mewtwo.
Watched a bunch of Shamwow dubs.. Rofl!

All this time and that's all that happened other than me visiting my cousin's house. I'm hoping to bring my cousin to my other cousin's house. lol..

Also, I got Mario Party 8, already got Hammer Bro. and Blooper unlocked and I have Bowser's board unlocked.

.. Oddly.. I play as Hammer Bro more than I play as Yoshi.

Also also, one of my Mario Kart hacking videos got featured by a famous Mario Kart hacker, who's brother is responsible for making the SZS Modifier, which is the ONLY tool that can modify Mario Kart Wii's SZS files. Yup.. MrBean35000vr (or just Mr Bean) showed one of my videos on a Mario Kart fourms, showing the track I modified.. Because I couldn't collide with it, his brother decided to look into the solidity map again and found it out! Soon, the SZS modifier will be able to give custom tracks full solidity! No more flat, SNES-style tracks!... N64 Rainbow Road, anyone? Or maybe even GCN Pipe Plaza for Battle mode.. Who knows?

1) No RPing
2) No DA
3) No FA
4) No drawing

Even worse, my desktop's BIOS settings got corrupted in a thunderstorm last night.. And my dad is going to give it to his girlfriend because I got a laptop. This means I have NO WAY TO SAVE MY FILES BEFORE THEN! 120GB of stuff just gone! No Flash, no Paint Shop Pro, no 3dsmax, no SZS Modifier (which I use to change files in Mario Kart Wii), No emulators.. and I'm stuck with Windows Vista which is incompatible with half of what I like anyway! That's why I kept most of it on my desktop..

My laptop doesn't run NEARLY as good as my dad thought it would, and apparently, it's a model that's known to fail randomly: HP Pavilion dv2000.

My dad was told that the laptop has 700-and-something MB of graphics memory.. My BIOS only allows up to 128MB.

Anyway, continuing on..

I want to continue texture hacking my games.. (SSBB, MKWii).. But all the hard-to-find tools are on my desktop.

Here's my problem with my desktop computer:
I press the power button, it starts booting up like normal. Where it's supposed to load Windows, I instead get "CMOS/GPNV Checksum Bad" error.. My keyboard is USB, so it isn't turned on while in BIOS. I have no way to fix this error.

Here's my laptop's problem:
Windows Vista. It isn't totally compatible with the tools I use to texture hack. They'll either fail, generate corrupted files, or get blocked. It's also slower when playing games.

If I go to my dad's.. I lose the ability to be alone whenever because HIS COMPUTER IS IN THE SAME ROOM AS MINE! That's why there's no RP, no DA, no FA.. no drawing..

Remember a long while ago, about a quarter-way into the school year.. I had a broken USB cable plugged into my computer and it shorted my USB hub? So my computer was unusable until I got a new one, right?

MY guess.. is that it damaged more than the hub.

This is making my computer run slower, laggier and much hotter than it should. Games that run fine on my friend's computer (that has a slower CPU, less RAM and the same video card with less memory) run like crap on mine. What's odd is, that games that run fine on MINE run like crap on HIS.

I've tried changing my clock speeds and everything. I can't get a decent tempurature in my computer.

Also a L4D topic.. The single-player Versus mode exploit was patched a while ago.. Or was it?
I found out how to do it again, and it's simpler this time.
1) Join an online Versus match
2) While on the Infected team, leave the game (or get booted, that works too)
3) Open the console (press `)
4) Type "map " (after pressing space, a list will appear, but you can type it right in if it's a custom map)
5) When it loads, you will still be on the infected team. If you are not, kill the bots and type "kill" in the console. (or just press M, but I think that will make the round end and you will be survivor again anyway)

GLITCHES:
1) If you kill ANY SURVIVORS by knocking them off the edge of a level (as a Tank), THE MATCH WILL NOT END (did this on a custom level not made for versus lol)
2) IF using z_spawn to spawn as what you want, DON'T POINT AT A WALL! You will be stuck in the wall unless you use "noclip" in the console.
3) as said above, using z_spawn to spawn as something, and you're pointing at the ceiling (or top of skybox), you will appear on the ground under where you are pointing.
4) Custom maps will not work online this way.
5) Multiple computers on the same network using the same Steam account can play together this way. The first player (the host) will be "MikeYoshi" [username], second will be "(1) MikeYoshi" [(1) username], third will be "(2) MikeYoshi" [(2) username], etc.

I have an alternate YouTube account that I will use to post WHATEVER! My main one (that I am not mentioning due to trolls, I said it somewhere though) will be for just video game videos from now on. The other one will be for YouTube Poop, animation testing, and stuff involving my characters. You may see an occasional video from the other account leak through.. (ex: a video game video on MikeY0shi, or a youTube Poop on my main).. Now that I think about it, I don't like going as a name that doesn't say "MikeYoshi" somewhere.. so my main account probably isn't going to last long as I might end up staying with MikeY0shi as my main.

Overheating can be cause by hardware damage, overclocking, or lack of cooling (No fans).

However, here's something that stumps me:

My computer is overheating BADLY. (It's supposed to be ~35 degrees, it's running at 90+) On top of that, I have it severely UNDERCLOCKED (the hardware is slowed down so it creates less heat). If you understand this, you're lucky.
Default (Mhz): 580 core, 250 ram
Current (Mhz): 73 core, 51 ram

That means my graphics card is running at 12% it's normal speed. That's just the core. It runs at 109 degrees at default, and around 90-100 degrees when slowed down like this.

I think it's either a dirty fan, a loose connection to my fan (ATITool says my fan speed is 0%), or actual hardware damage.

The graphics card is underclocked so much, my computer doesn't like it. When doing CPU-heavy tasks, the screen 'tears' (stretches oddly or parts seem out-of-sync). This is very apparent in 3DSmax and in the Dolphin Emulator. All my games have a 50% FPS drop (lags twice as much), but I'm just trying to make my computer give off less heat.. I might have to get my dad to look at it.

Onto good news: I'm learning how to draw Bowser Jr, so I have a question. Should I swap my Koopa form out for a more Bowser Jr-esque one? (They're both Koopas o.o) I think it would suit me more.

Only 2 weeks left of school for me! This next week coming up is my last week before exams! Once my exams come up, it will come time to see whether or not I get that laptop I so desire! <3

And my math teacher hates it when I fool around with the calculators.. Even when I'm done my work. She takes class marks away for it.

If I get 70%+ on my exams in Math and English, I can pass those classes.. But I SUCK at them. English isn't my worst one, MATH is. I could pass English if I tried (This exam will be easy, all we did was read Romeo and Juliet), but my MATH? Geez! I'm really struggling and my parents just think I'm not trying (Like I am in English lol). I hope I pass, because I WANT A GOOD LAPTOP.

My friend, Alec, has many, many trojans on his computer.. I'm trying to help him with it, since I just cleared the viruses off mine (finally!)

I've gotten used to playing a bike on Manual in Mario Kart Wii. I use Bowser Jr on the Dolphin Dasher, or Dry Bowser in the Offroader (kart), OR Yoshi on the Mach Bike.

I still can't do well on wi-fi. (Mario Kart)

My computer has been running a little faster due to a scan using Spybot.

Something interesting: The Wii seems to do it's translating on-the-fly. Even the Homebrew Channel gets translated. (Canal Homebrew)

However, I am having Wii trouble. The system runs extremely hot, and is now starting to lag during ganeplay at times (Mostly Mario Kart Wii). I told my friend, Wesley about this (he's very experienced with computers), and he said that "my Wii probably has 2 months left in it's life. If it keeps running the way it is, it will probably go up in smoke or catch fire." That isn't good, so I'm backing up all my save files onto an SD card (Luckily, GeckoOS allows you to copy non-copy save files

Wesley thinks the cause is this: I have a 1st gen Wii, I play Smash Bros Brawl a lot. SSBB is too graphically advanced for 1st gen Wiis; made to run on a 2nd gen Wii. If you recently purchased a Wii, you have a 2nd gen one. If you purchased ones years ago (Like my brother did to get me mine), you probably have a 1st gen Wii.
I have seen graphical errors several times while playing.. Mostly in Guitar Hero III: Some of the guitars have triangles on them that flicker. That can either be a scratched disc (Which I have) or a dying GPU (which I also have).
What's the difference between 1st gen Wii and 2nd gen Wii? 1st gen Wii has a weaker graphics card than 2nd gen Wii. It's hard to tell the difference.. But on a 2nd gen Wii, some games will run much smoother, and the Internet Channel can run Flash Animations better without running out of memory (I think). I'm still making Wii videos, but these are my current problems..

Wii has slowdown (graphical lag) in some games (Mario Kart Wii, Smash Bros Brawl, Guitar Hero III/WT, Pokemon Battle Revolution, M&S@OG)

Wii makes loud crackling noises when shut off after playing for hours; also makes then when turned on in a cold room

Wii did have the 'sparkling pixels' problem. It's caused by overheating and leaving WiiConnect24 on, which leaves the system on without any fans..

However...

Wii does not show problems while on Wi-fi

Wii runs fine during regular Brawls (SSBB), but slows down during special ones that have Metal and Fast turned on.

Wii is sometimes slow responding to Wiimotes, but not Gamecube Controllers. Might just be interference..

I got called '^furfag' outside teh interwebs, at school today.. Though, it was the jackass in my english class that said it. Odd, since I pretty much hide my furry status at school apart from maybe 2 drawings that I've done there. I've only shown one to a friend of mine, the other was a Buizel that I drew about January-ish.
As I'm writing this sentence, it became midnight, so it is now my birthday!

Before making this journal, I noticed the "Options" above the text box that I'm typing this into. It allows me to put CSS and such in, but says that it's subscriber only. However, I can still preview a journal with the CSS, I just can't publish it.

School crap

Fact: I'm having a hard time in school. Well, almost everyone I know (outside teh interwebs) all say different things.
"You're not trying" ~ My dad
"You're bored." ~ Several friends
"It's too easy." ~ One of my other friends
"You're lazy." ~Yet another friend

But..

"I don't have enough friends there." ~ Me

99% of my offline friends are going to the same school as

, which is not the same school as me. This is why I prefer to be online, since I always have at least 1 person online, and I talk to them when they are. Even if I don't talk, it's nice to know that there's someone there in case I did want to talk.

Mentioning school, I have to go to it on my birthday. >.<.. It's on Tuesday, and I have a math test on that day.

I no longer have bunk beds due to a decision my mom made.. I now have a futon (A couch [or sofa, depending on where you are] that unfolds into a bed)... But it isn't even unfolded right now, and I'm late going to bed. I'm not sure you to set it up, either.. I'll have to lay on it like a couch for tonight..

Drawing hiatus? Maybe...

Yeah, I recently drew something. Woot! (Drew Sarugia, it's my newest) But I might not draw again for a while. I really haven't been in the mood for it. I might still draw on-and-off, but not as much as when I first joined dA. (Within one month back then, I submitted 30+ deviations, now it's dropped to 1 or 2 a month, maybe even none!)

Yes, this journal was completely random. But I'd like to ask something. If anyone could draw Sarugia in their own style (I already have a friend who did, thanks :3), could you? I need some cheering up, and for some reason, seeing someone draw one of my characters for me does the trick. Sorry to be a little bit of a bum, but I haven't been drawing due to lack of ideas, which has also been affecting RP and such as well. MY RP's have become repetitive, unless it's with a few certain friends who can make the plot and such whenever I can't. xD

Computer trouble..

Also: My main computer has been running extremely slow, but only when Steam or a YouTube video is running. I cannot run both at once, or my computer goes too slow to be usable. Windows Movie Maker still fails to save videos most of the time, and Left4Dead's average framerate dropped to 7, from 22. Is the GPU in my computer dying, or is my RAM? (RAM makes more sense, since other programs run slow too.. Could also be CPU?)

Intel Pentium 4 3.04Ghz (x2)
nVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT (underclocked due to heat problems)
1.00GB RAM
Windows XP Professional, SP2, 32-bit

My secondary computer (at my dad's: one I'm on now) has this..

Intel Pentium 4 2.00Ghz
ATI Radeon 9600
768MB RAM
Windows XP Professional, SP3, 32-bit

But it runs L4D better. Less RAM, older GPU, slower CPU, less free disk space.. Why does it run so much faster in games?

-nVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT (overclocked, tried running with default clock too) [EDIT: Underclocked now.. It's the time of year where my room should be COOLED OFF]
-1 GB RAM
-120 GB Hard disk
-CD-RW drive

-20GB disk space free
-idle GPU temp: 72 F
-max GPU temp: 125 F (artifacts appear at this point)
-L4D GPU temp: ~110 F (no artifacts)
-no recent hardware failures other than driver problem
-all DirectX tests pass
-Usually has Winamp running
-L4D plays between 5 and 30 FPS (big gap o.O)
-Most other games run at 30-45 FPS (except Second Life.. 5-15 FPS)
-computer warms up my whole room while active.. the heat is turned off but it's 20 C in here.. Once computer is shut down, room temperature drops.
-side panel IS ON the computer. it runs warmer with it off
-computer is under my desk, there are wooden pillars that hold my desk up near the grate for the fan, but not blocking it. The computer is not against a wall.
-computer has 3 fans inside it.. still overheats easily
-original USB hub shorted out: a USB card was installed.
-Running WindowBlinds with a skin active (my own Lucario one, actually.. XD.. lots of gradients)
-using ATItool to overclock (it's compatible with nVIDIA, ironically) [Underclocking now]
-using a Linksys wireless adapter connecting to a wireless network created by a Linksys router
-emulators: Project64, VisualBoyAdvance, zSnes, Dolphin, NESten, Pcx2, no$GBA
-virus protection: Norton, AVG, Spybot S&D
-plays Frets On Fire, TrackMania, L4D, emulators, Halo, Carmageddon
-Graphics card overheated once before: Went up in smoke.. Has no symptoms now. The fan was sitting on Jenga blocks, so when the fan fell, the card went PHOOM.. I'm using it right now

Recent Problems
-BSOD due to winlogon.exe being ended
-Recent slowdown occurring.
-RAM been running short.. unable to use the full 1GB
-system overheated while playing Second Life and shut down on me
-running a little too warm: works fine.. just slow.
-Left 4 Dead runs better on my old, artifacting, screwed up computer (Intel Pentium 4 2Ghz, ATI Radeon 9600 Pro, 512 MB RAM) than it does on this one which has much better stats.. And it doesn't artifact until it gets really warm. (The old computer artifacts in Windows.. Wii style: sparkling pixels in vertical bars across the screen.. On a Wii, it happens when the system is too warm for too long: Wiiconnect24 causes it, but so does leaving it on in a tight place [xBox360 towel trick?]...) However, TrackMania runs better on this computer.
-Windows Movie Maker is unable to save movies with more than 10 clips.. It also takes a really long time to load titles, plays videos slowly, and has trouble with effects.
-Dolphin can no longer get 1GB of RAM to run, even though I have 1GB of RAM and a 5GB paging file.
-Audio clicks if I have too many sounds at once.
-Computer takes 5 minutes to load Windows.
-very loud: too many fans?
-no DVD drive: unable to install a video editor that is on a DVD
-sometimes fails to load Windows Live Messenger: gets an error saying it has to close
-sometimes fails to load Winamp: Freezes upon loading at times
-never automatically connects to my network anymore
-CPU usage is usually 15% even when I'm not doing anything.. This rises to 20% when playing music, but drops when Windows Live Messenger is loaded properly.
-network fails at times: every computer loses internet, has to reboot the router
-videos lag if recorded with Windows Movie Maker (but are mostly fine if recorded with VirtualDub, and are perfect (bad quality though) if recorded with YouTube's QuickCapture.
-3DSmax fails to render if Hair And Fur is enabled, and the scene is animated
-TrackMania fails to render reflections sometimes
-L4D has a couple random problems with flashlights.. Turning it off and on fixes it. (it moves across the screen while standing still)
-Windows fails to save gamepad calibrations
-BSOD if changing screen resolutions while playing StepMania
-StepMania lags if a video is playing in the background
-Fraps runs out of RAM if recording for more than 5 minutes.
