O.k, pues parece que el haber tenido por tres dias una peluca en la cabeza -cuando me vestÃ de Rosa de Versalles- , me afecto el cerebro.
Bueno, a ver vayamos mas para atras...¿

orque me vestÃ de Cosplay de primera instancia cuando dije que lo odiaba con todo mi amor y corazÃ³n?; bueno, pues fue mÃ¡s que nada porque meti las cuatro, prometiendo que lo harÃa!!!! - y pueden leer todo sobre mi sonora caida por aca [link]).
Sin embargo, antes de que todo este adebacle me sobrepasara, resultÃ³ que hace un par de aÃ±os -cuando todavÃa estaba en los 20's- decidimos en CM que nos vestirÃamos de personajes de anime. PAra todos aquellos que no vivan en Mexico, les comento que CM son las iniciales de una revista famosa de Anime y Manga para la cual he trabajado por mÃ¡s de 7 aÃ±os seguidos, y en la cual he desempeÃ±ado diversos papeles. La cosa es que pensamos que serÃa cool vestirnos de personajes de anime QUE NOS QUEDARAN para una convenciÃ³n y asÃ atender a los lectores -y es que anteriormente la editorial nos pedÃa que fueramos a las convenciones para dar conferencias and so on-
Como se trataba de ponerse cosplays que nos quedaran -y por ello me refiero, vestirnos de personajes a los que nos parecieramos- Por alguna extraÃ±a razon, todo mundo acordÃ³ que me era parecida a Witch Hunter Robin, y que el traje me quedarÃa bien.
A pesar de que no se hizo lo de los cosplays, siempre me quedo el gusanito de vestirme de WHR, no sÃ³lo porque el vestido victoriano estÃ¡ de poca madre, sino tambiÃ©n porque luego de que vi la serie, me dije "o.k, esto puede funcionar y no va ser tan terrible como pareciera". Siempre me quede con la espinita de hacerlo, pero a pesar de que lo comente con ~Meltary nunca me anime a hacerlo, porque SEGUIA ODIANDO EL COSPLAY!!!!
No obstante eso del cosplay seguÃa sin sonarme y bueno... luego vino lo de Rosa de Versalles que de todo a todo me curÃ³ de espanto. Bueno, como ya se habrÃ¡n imaginado, mi vida ha tomado un vuelco de 180 grados -for the better- desde que me contrataron para ser parte -nuevamente- de un estudio de animaciÃ³n.
PAra cualquiera que no halla trabajado en una pelÃcula, quiero decirles que es, probablemente uno de los trabajos mÃ¡s exhaustivos del mundo porque a pesar de que uno tiene un horario fijo, la verdad es que al final este, termina siendo lanzado por la ventana y todo mundo comienza a quedarse tarde para acabar escenas etc.
Asi es el mundo de la animaciÃ³n.

A parte como ya lo habÃa mencionado en entradas anteriores, el estudio queda MUY lejos de mi casa (para los que vivan en la ciudad de Mexico, entenderan que ir desde el sur de la ciudad hasta la herradura es una travesÃa nÃ³rdica. Ni mÃ¡s ni menos) y cuando regreso a mi depa en la noche, la verdad lo Ãºnico que deseo es dormir.

Evidentemente esto me dejo con CERO tiempo para hacer Cuentos del Espejo

Cuando recibi la bati-llamada del estudio, para presentarme a trabajar, estaba en mi mes de descanso, preparandome ya, para comenzar a dibujar. Crei, inocentemente que me darÃa tiempo de llegar y dedicarle tiempo a Brianna and Co. pero la verdad es que no.
PodrÃa haberme sacado de la manga unas cuantas pÃ¡ginas etc, y salir al paso con ello, pero creo que no es justo principalmente, para la pequeÃ±a base de lectores -muchas gracias por leer cuentos chicos
;___;- y en segundo para mi historia a la que le he dedicado una buena parte de mi tiempo y a la cual, debido a la falta de mismo- no me gustarÃa bajarle la calidad.

Si bien mi comic ha ido dando sus pasitos en cuestion de calidad, siempre trato de que vaya quedando mejor con cada nÃºmero (espero de todo corazon que se note, pues esa es mi intenciÃ³n). Definitivamente, no me gustarÃa entregar una porquerÃa, porque A) no me gusta hacer las cosas a la carrera y B) todas las pÃ¡ginas son a color, y esto TOMA tiempo -me toma de 4 a 7 horas por pÃ¡gina, esto claro, solo el puro color y considere... ]]> =Milosflaca NEW JOB! and tagged. First and for the most, I want to apologize AGAIN because of all the delays.
I got a new job at an animation studio (don't ask me any details because I can't give any at the moment) and my schedule is CRAZY!!! I get up very early in the morning because the studio is FAR away from my house ;___;

In any case I'm very happy about how things have turned out

, plus it's great to be working with old friends and stuff!

The one and only rain on my parade is that I'm sick. Caught a terrible cold two days ago and I can't seem to get better. I hate that, because of course I can't take a couple of days off to recover. Gah. I feel like dying. honestly.

and weeeeeellll, now I really need to catch up with RL stuff. For all those that have sent me text msg to my cellphone I want to say that my celphone is not working at the moment, so I can't reply to all the messages from friends and stuff. sorry about that.

1-A ver... algo que no sepan. Bueno si. ya se. Cuando cumpli 12 aÃ±os comencÃ© a pintarme el cabello de oscuro. odiaba mi color de pelo, asi que para que no se dieran cuenta de que era pelirroja, me lo pintÃ© de rubio, de negro (el cual traje por mucho tiempo) y asÃ sucesivamente. hasta que fui grande descubrÃ la gran ventaja de serlo.

Well, life goes on. Meanwhile I'm loaded with work and I'm no where near finished.
On the bright side I could finally put my hands on a Macbook (which I purchased as a self-given present for my upcoming b-day). Which is needless to say made of WIN.

Anyway I stopped by to say hello to everyone, to complain about the water shortage that's been going on in my country and forthemost to answer a meme, because it's been a while since I don't do any.

And hell yes, I'm crossing my fingers. Next week is my final week to finish all pendant drawings *chews nails* gah. I'm so dead. -_-

â When did you start drawing?
mmm, well, like all people I started drawing when I was a baby. I took it seriously when I was about 9 (I wanted to be either a paleontologist or a Disney animator). Then I started to practice with my own comic strips and such when I was 12 or something.

â Which hand do you use for drawing?
Right.

â Which is easier to draw - male or female?
It depends on what I'm drawing. Pose, bg, setting, etc. Sometimes females are just a party to draw but sometimes don't.
the same goes for males.

â Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?

well, it depends. 'Drawing' (as the literal meaning implies, which leaves out coloring and such) short or long hair is plain easy.
If I'm coloring, I rather color people with short hair. Long hair takes more time to get it done.

â Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
Both have their particularities. Depends on the scene I'm drawing. Depends on the expression.

â What do you have problems in drawing?
mmm... well the thing I found most difficult to draw is cars, because honestly I've got no interest whatsoever in drawing cars and stuff. I'm running late alreaady but I just wanted to change my journal skin.

I wanted to go for a css that would allow me to add my art, but at the end I couldn't resist to add this little octopus done by

, which is awesome and super cute.
Also it goes very well with an inside joke

There is this comic strip about an octopus (in spanish the word for octopus is ' Pulpo '

. The strip's name is "El Culpo" -notice the ' P ' was swapped by the 'C' and that does change the meaning of the word, as it is a word game that joins two words: Culpa (Guilt) and Pulpo (Octopus). This made the poor little fella to be The Guilt octopus, which stars in the strip as main character and whose tentacles tend to grab anyone that feels guilty about something. It's really, really funny.

And since I always live guilty about the drawings I haven't done and well, almost about everything (guilt is with me), I really couldn't miss the chance to use this CSS

Cutests part is that the octopus is actually holding a pencil (or is it just a piece of ship???). Anyway, I thought it would be nice to change the tune for a while until I find a journal that really catches my eye (like this one did).

Ah yes, and for those who were wondering about the cosplay, I submitted two pics (only two and that's it).

*stayka organized an awesome STS contest!

The theme (and here is where I press ctrl-c) is Yummy Saint Seiya or B'tX Bishounen spending their Summer holidays.

That means more or less scantily clad guys from Saint Seiya or B'tX in a summer holiday setting - that is, only the guys plus maybe other canon characters, but no OCs attached, please. You may of course add more or less scantily clad female Saint Seiya / B'tX characters, too, but the focus should be on the guys.
(no Yaoi and shonen ai situations though)

You can show them having fun at the beach, swimming, water-skiing, climbing mountains - whatever you like to have them do in the warm time of the year. (Yeah, I'm from the Northern hemisphere, meaning "Summer = hot" here. )

The picture has to be a complete work. No sketches or pictures that show that you did this in a hurry to make it to the deadline. Both traditional and CG works are welcome and have the same chances to win if they are drawn/painted well. Ah yes, and please don't use doll bases and just colour them - after all, this is about your own work!

The artworks will get 1-10 points in each of the categories: 1. technique, 2. idea, 3. composition, 4. realisation of the theme, and 5. general impression by each of the judges.

That means one judge can give up to 50 points, and the points of all the judges are summed up. The winners will be the artists whose entries get the highest number of points.

Convention is over and the new issue was a success. But this is not why I'm updating my journal.

as you already know my art -schedule was (or is anyway) pretty jammed. No need to say, I owe like a ZILLION pics (kirbans, prizes,comissions etc) right?
Anyway, I'm right now going to start working on my to-do list. Hopefully everything will be done by the end of August (since I will have to work on MT for the new issue in December

).

Again, my apologies for all the delays (really time goes fast!, I can't believe we are already in July. Soon it'll be SeSa season again...).

Buenooooo chicos. por fiiiiin! ya es mitad de aÃ±o y eso, para todos los comiqueros significa que it's convention time

El Estudio Oubilette estarÃ¡ presente durante esta convenciÃ³n, en el stand D, en la parte de arriba (o sea en el mismo lugar de siempre. SÃ³lo suban pregunten donde estÃ¡n los independientes, y caminen hasta el fondo del pasillo. No hay pierde, nuestra mesa estÃ¡ pegada a la pared).

Llevaremos sketchbooks, el doujishi Yaoi, los oubilettes (sale en esta convenciÃ³n el nÃºmero 4 -o sea el nuevo tomo-). Llevaremos mercancÃa -estampas, prints, arte original pintada a mano, etc-
yyyyyyy como plus a toda esta maravilla mercadolÃ³gica, Adalisa y yo estarÃ©mos vestida el 18 y el 19 (sabado y Domingo), como Harry Potter y Lady Oscar -ehhh, que tal con la combinaciÃ³n???-.

No mÃ¡s que aviso de una vez, no se vale que me pidan que me pare para que me saquen foto MIENTRAS ESTOY PINTANDO. <---aviso de una vez para que no digan que soy una mamila...

Michael Jackson is gone, and I can't get rid of this memory when I was a kid and I hid behind my mother's huge sofa because Thriller was being showed on my TV.
I'm deadly afraid of zombies, but still I couldn't force myself to shut my eyes, because I knew if I did I would be missing something great.
Like most of the kids of the 80's I grew up with Micheal Jackson's music. He was a great entretainer and despite all the scandals that he got himself involved with in the last years of his life, his contribution to music and entertaiment will remain untarnished to me. Needless to say he was a huge inspiration as I was growing up. I hope to be able some day to deliver the kind of performance (in drawing) in the way he did with his dancing and music.

mmm, well, there wasn't any particular character I liked. The first one I saw was Milo and Shiryu... and I have to admitt I had a serious fictional crush on that character. although I don't know why now. The guy is complete Jerk.
Then there was Mu.

2. The character you never expected to love as much as you do now:

that's a tough one. Well, I have to say Shaka. to me he was absolutely BORING. Now I feel very proud that my zodiac sign has a representative as cool as him. REally. both versions (LC and original STS) are just freaking cool.

3. The character everyone else loves that you donÂt [like as much]:
First and forthemost : Hyoga. I HATE THAT GUY (for real).
The specters. Honestly.. what's the deal with those???? Freaking boring. Plus one of them (I think it's Minos) looks like that dog of that comedy movie 'the return of the shaggy dog' (or whatever is called).
Ah yes, and I also dislike Kardia a lot. What a LAME version of Milo.

4. The character you love that everyone else hates:
The Asgaardians. I love the 'cool' crew.

5. The character you would shag anytime:
ah well. I don't know. Maybe Milo????

6. The character you'd want to be like:
Mu. That freaking bastard never gets upset!!! (not even when Shaka was killed in the Hades chapter... come onnnnn!!!) and I'm like THE poster girl for neurotism.

Seiya. Just for the fun of it.

Hilda and Siegfried.

9. A pairing that you despise
Milo and Camus. (would you stop it alreadyyyyy???)

MU. definitely. (bet you thought it was Milo, right??? and yeah, I like him a lot, but to me Mu conveys a much powerful image than the rest of the Gold Saints.)

11. What are your five favourite things about the fandom.
-They were very kind to me from day one. Honestly. I never expected people would like my fan art.
-That I've met great people that eventually became true great friends (in real life)
-That the series I loved never ended perse as there was out there, way too much fan fic and fan art to continue enjoying STS.
-The real BNF's are true sweethearts.
-Everyone share's what they know or have of STS. It's just so lovely.

12. What are your five least favourite things about the fandom.
-Mary-sue images. I hate that.
-Yaoi fics (I'm sorry but most of the Yaoi out there is really predictable and boring -there are exceptions to this rule though...)
-People who arrive to the fandom with the deep need to tell everyone why they (that is us) are living the 'fandom life' in the wrong way. Really. I HATE THAT. Live and let die, please.
-Milo x Camus fics (except for Unbroken, which I love)

First and before I forget THE MEME

I saw this at *stayka and I thought it would be fun posting something that has nothing to do with the comic. So pleeeeeeaseeee comment

Now and update for all those who've been wondering about my sudden dissapearance.

Well you've probably be wondering what's the deal with me. Why I haven't updated my DA in ages and why haven't I deliver the Kirbans I owe and so on.

The reason is I'm working on my comic which is due in less than two weeks. that has had me chained to my drawing table, hystercal trying desperately to meet a deadline.
Of course every deadline is hellish, but this time for me meeting the deadline has proven to be the most unbearable thing alltogether. I'm serious about this.

I've slept little, eat less and generally gone crazy trying to pull this off. I'm almost there but even now I feel like I'm not gonna make it.
There are other things that had happened during this last three months with which I'm not going to bother you, but which had had me terribly... upset. Well, I'm just looking forward to the release.

O.k look. right now I'm pretty much drowning in work, which for a person whose livelyhood depends on drawing is like the greatest news of them all.
The problem is that the massive load of work is leaving me with little time for extra pics and stuff.
I'm pretty much concerned about Kiribans (I'm not going to lie to you, both are already sketched and stuff, but for some reason I hadn't found the time to finish them).
Right now, I'm working on the comic (which is due in two freaking months) and in a project that if everything goes as planned will be consuming all of my creative time for the next 10 months.
I mean, I feel pretty bad (because it is with no doubt my fault) that I rested for a whole month and then moved on into other things (including kiribans) in a paced manner as if I had all the time of the world.
Really, I was a fool, considering that I somehow could have prevented this from happening.
Both kiribans should have been uploaded by now and I don't want you guys to think "god, this woman, says she'll do it, but she keeps uploading all kinds of stuff. Where is my Kiriban?" and you are right to think that. Although in my defense I'd say that I'm drawing so much STS fan art, because it's the one and only thing that relaxes me and takes my mind away from the stress.

In any case the fail has been with me for quite a while and man, gee, I really don't know what to say or which excuse to give you, because honestly I've run out of those.
The truth is I did not plan the use of my time very well, and now things have been snowballing in such a way, that I'm just trying desperately to keep the boat afloat (the comic, the project, the comic strips, and also pics I know I owe etc) to meet the deadlines on time.

Of course this post does not mean "sorry you guys, I know I say I'd do it, but suck it up because I have no free time". No. On the contrary, this is me, asking for your patience, because even when I take my time to draw stuff, I do deliver.
I just don't wanna rush drawing the kiribans, because it's not fair for the winners and it's not fair for me as an artist (since I really enjoy very much drawing such pics). I want to take the time to draw them.
I'll try my best to finish them (at least the first one) in this month (god, I feel so very bad for writing this).
I'm not even sure I will offer a kiriban again (for the time being as I don't think the load of work will diminish as the year goes by). And believe me, I had to cut extra activities and stood up friends with appointments and everything, because pretty much all the hours of the day have to be spent sitting near the drawing table. It's crazy.
I have no time to do anything else (for real).

I hope you are not mad at me or anything -_- I'm really, really, really sorry about this. Now you can hit me.

Bueno a ver...La cosa esta asi: La verdad me estoy AHOGANDO en trabajo, cosa que es buena, sobre todo si te dedicas de tiempo completo al dibujo como yo (vaya con eso salen las cuentas, pues). El problemita es que mi carga excesiva de trabajo me ha dejado poco tiempo (si no es que nada) para imagenes extra, o dibujos por placer. O sea simplemente ya me resulta muy complicado encajar todas esas cosas que quiero dibujar en un dia. Simplemente no llego por mÃ¡s que quiera y pues he tenido que comenzar a cortar todas esas cosas extra que me encantaban por estar pegadota al restirador o bien a la computadora (y si puede parecer absurdo ya que he subido un par de cositas aqui a DA que no tienen nada que ver con lo otro, pero es que tambiÃ©n uno se vuelve loco si estÃ¡s trabajando solo en una cosa....y pus la verdad es que dibujar fan art de caballeros es lo Ãºnico que me relaja...

)
Se que tengo que hacer los Kiribans que debo (dos) pero aunque ya estan avanzaditos, la verdad es que aÃºn les falta mucho para darse como por terminados a parte de que no me gusta, ni se me hace justo para nadie que navege por esos dibujos a las carreras.
Simplemente me da mucho conflicto esa situaciÃ³n por el resultado final.

Bueno, pues que les cuento?

Estoy ahora frente a mi compu, en pijama sintiÃ©ndome del carajo...-_-

Ayer comprobe que definitivamente no hay nada como enfermarse en una convenciÃ³n. Y debo aclarar que JAMAS me habÃa sucedido esto. Siempre habÃa estado sintiendome de perlas durante todos los eventos, y Â¿ahora? vale, resulta que tuve que retirarme del evento toda mareada (hasta acompaÃ±ada por mi novio ~ariel-orea para que no me fuera a dar en la mother, en las escaleras.

En serio, estuvo terrible y la verdad aÃºn no se que es lo que tengo (si, es porque todavÃa no se que demonios tengo. Me siento FATAL). Claro, como es la vida del dibujante, me espera una semana pasada porque tengo que entregar 2 tiras, un dibujo comisionado por CM y varios articulos... ah! y comienzo a hacer mi comic -para el 4- y las dos primeras comisiones de la lista.
O sea, es como haberse disparado en el pie accidentalmente.

Pero bueno, mientras que permanezca sentada supongo que no habra problema. Agh... horror, de horrores.

Quiero tomar un momento para agradecer a :devLady-Anhk: y a ~Crimson-Werecat quienes son LA NETA y nos ayudaron a =luxshine y a mi para terminar la convenciÃ³n de la mejor manera.
En serio, el medio todos los dÃas me sorprende, mucho mÃ¡s cuando encuentras amistades dentro de las filas

Ahora bien, en general nos fue perfecto con esto de la Mole. Vendimos muchos discos, y material impreso. Quiero recordar a los que quieran sketchbook, que esta vez no podremos dar intercambio (como ha sucedido con el oubilette que generalmente hemos regalado copias). Asi que si estÃ¡n interesados favor de comunicarnos para hacer la transaccion, porque en la Mole se vendieron algunillos y pues la cantidad va en bajada. Lo mismo aplica para el doujinshi

Una disculpa para ~effinit quien conocÃ en la mole. Lamento en DEMASIA no haber podido quedarme al final para platicar un rato (pero es que enserio si me sentÃa mal, mal). Anyway, siempre fue un gusto conocer a otros compaÃ±eros que andan pululando aqui en DA.

Sorry about my delay on Kiribans and comissions. I just needed to work on stuff for this convention, but I will resume my activities on that regard as soon as the weekend is over.
I feel like I should apologize for this, because it's not like me to delay like this on comissioned stuff (or even in kiribans). Not at all.

Well, I've been terribly busy... resting

yes, RESTING! I really, really can't believe that I'm actually lazing around with my friend Sofia (otherwise known as Toffee -yes, the writer of Unbroken-) and since we haven't seen each other for two long years, we are kinda catching up and stuff: planing fics and telling each other about stuff that has happened in the past years.
I'm telling you, I feel so relaxed now, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to handle the zillion deadlines + kiribans +art trades +articles +comissioned work +illustrations of children's book that are awaiting me when Sofia leaves for her hometown.

In any case I was tagged by =Nizhan, and here are my answers.

I've done this meme, quite a few times already at lj, so you know...I'm gonna try to share real personal stories with you guys. so here it goes.

1.- When I was 8 I was chased by a baby Hippo and his mother. Never think that Hippos are slow and dumb. They run as fast as a race horse.
At the very end I had to jump to a bush to repel the damned thing. It was by far one of the scariest thing of my life.

2.-When I was a teenager, I almost died falling off a cliff. I loved horse back riding and my father owned a ranch.
Long story short, the horse got scared and it started to run very fast. I did know how to control a horse, but not one that was scared and out of his mind. Everyone who knows horses tell me that the horse would have stopped at the edge. That horses are not stupid and that it would have not comitted suicide with a teenage girl on its back. But man, I will never know. A cousin rode his horse very fast and caught me before we went off.

I didn't want to get on a horse never again, but my aunt made me. And I'm happy for that. Horses are one of my favorite animals of all time and riding them is like feeling freedom pass through you. It's just amazing!

3.- I love tattos and I have several tatoos on my body. If I were a man, I would be tattoed all over.

4.- The first thing I drew was an elephant. The shilhouette of an elephant with red crayons and then I drew a witch. I'm weird I know.

5.- I'm scared of water. When I was little I learned to swim, because I thought pools were filled with sea monsters. Nowadays I can't be on a boat. I get sea sick so fast. Plus the water really creeps me out.

6.-Mmm... I don't like anime or manga in general, but one of my favorite cartoons of all time is Saint Seiya.

7.-I collect toys (for real). there was a point where my house was more a Toy store than anything else. People would come inside and tell me "Oh your kids must be very happy with all this toys around" and I was like "those are mine -_-U".
Toys rock.

8.-I don't like Star Wars. And for me the big irony is that my studio is FILLED with starwars toys, and space ships and light sabers etc, because yes, my boyfriend is a HUGE fan of that franchise. Now I know names and plots and everything about that story >< gaaaah.

First, before I ramble on like there's not maÃ±ana: I will rest for a whole month (a friend of mine is coming to visit me and I don't think I'll have much time to finish drawings. I know this is kind of unfair (I knooooow I have to finish comissions etc), but let me be. I haven't had a break since September. I've been running around nonstop, drawing nonstop and I *seriously* need vacations.
I might sit and start the kiribans and the comissions I owe, inbetween breaks, but I can't really promess you anything. I will resume my activities on March, because that's when I have to go back to work (on the comic, on the books, on the magazines etc). Pleeeease be patience with me. I *really* *really* need to rest.
I will log on to check messages and stuff (I'll be at my house, but I want to have some free time to enjoy my friend's visit, who I haven't seen for over two years ;___; )

Nowwwww! Let's go to talk about Contests.

I was organizing my Da account (mainly favorites) and I came across with this:

It features Persephone with Hades, when he falls in love with her and later on abducts her. now, let me elaborate a bit more.
A couple of weeks ago I was at =luxshine's house and we started to talk and somehow we got to the Mythology topic. We started to share stories (my expertise lies in North Myth, hers is Greek) and eventually we started to talk about Hades -ah yes, now I remember, the Hades topic sprung out because I asked her about characterization since Hades appears in my STS fic that I wrote for the SeSa event). So long short story the image reminded me of our little chat.
Adalisa, told me wondrous stories about Gods and humans and gosh! Mythology is something sooo, well, so alluring and I ended kinda toying with the idea of starting a series of ilustrations based on Myths.

Then, that thought eventually led me to think on organizing an event here at DA, like a contest. The problem with the latter, is that I wouldn't have money to pay for anyone's subscription

Just a quick heads up. I could get my hands in 18 different versions of the Rose of Versailles. 18.
No, for real. So to honor my promise I will dress up as Lady Oscar.
However since i like to do things right, I will look for a good seamstress to do my outfit and so on. The usual.
I'll try to dress up as her in the next con, but if I can't make it to the event (given that I'll be resting all February since my dear friend Toffee is coming to visit me) I'll will cosplay the next convention (June).

Thank u so much for your help and patience with me going berserk because I couldn't switch the language of the damned movie! But now I have Rose of Versailles and god, it's so pretty. I feel so happy today! *hugs you all*

Bueno, pues noticias para ustedes. Ahora resulta que tengo 18 versiones diferentes de la Rosa de Versalles en mi compu. 18. Neta.
Asi que como siempre cumplo lo que prometo, me vestirÃ© como Lady Oscar la proxima convenciÃ³n.
Claro, como a mi me gusta hacer bien las cosas (digo, ya voy a hacer el pancho tan espantoso, pues lo voy a hacer bien, carajo!), comenzarÃ© a investigar donde puedo mandar a hacer el traje para que me lo ajusten a mi medida etc.
Chale, espero que la gente no me confunda con el anime de Utena... diose. En fin.
Espero poder tener el traje listo (con espada incluida y toda la cosa) para esta nueva convenciÃ³n (mÃ¡s porque en febrero me tomarÃ© un descanso puesto que mi amiga Sofia (Toffee) vendra a visitarme durante el mes de febrero). Si no llego, lo dejarÃ© para la proxima convenciÃ³n (Junio).

O.k so you know. I'm corny and all that. The point is that I'm looking for an anime (no, for real.) and so far, even when I've looked in the conventions and manga and anime stores I really can't seem to find it, and god I'm going crazy over here

So anyway, I'm looking for The Rose of Versailles [link] Of course I will have to download the almost 50 episodes of the anime to my computer, because I just can't get my hands on it, and gosh, I'm such a fan of that story! (actually Lady Oscar was a role model for me when I was a teenager. I know I'm weird. but I really, really love this character)

I already promised to all gods that if I ever get my hands on it, I will cosplay as Lady Oscar (gah, the horror). so if you get it, Aurea Freniere will make a fool of herself, honor a debt and dress as Lady Oscar (completed with a fan art that I will later on submitt over here, along with a picture of myself dressed a hobit, pretending to be lady Oscar, because yes, that's actually what I would look like. Believe me, there is nothing flattering in my body that would actually honor that role). I actually don't care if it's in japanese, as long as it has english subtitles.

If you can get me the torrent I'll be greatful, because I've been looking for that damned thing for far too long!

Bueno, pues he tratado por todos los medios de conseguir el anime de la Rosa de Versalles [link] y no falta decir que cada vez que he estado *asi* de conseguirlo, siempre me quedo corta. por angas o mangas, nunca puedo ponerle las manos a ese $%%$&% anime de mier***, y pos francamente ya estoy recurriendo a poner altares paganos para ver si los dioses me conceden la gracia de poder verlo en mi casa, porque siempre vi cachos, y pues por supuesto que me encanta! (es de los pocos animes que me gustan, a decir verdad y de los que me considero fan. Lady Oscar fue un personaje modelo para mi cuando estaba creciendo

En fin, pues ya si no puedo tener el manga (*snif*) pues por lo menos el anime.
Imaginense que tan desesperada estoy que ya hasta le prometÃ a todos los dioses que conozco que me vestire de Lady Oscar en la proxima convenciÃ³n (bueno, en esa o en la que sigue), para honrar el favor que me hicieron al dejarme conseguirla, y crÃ©anme que es un sacrificio para mi, porque para ustedes serÃa como ver a un Hobit vestido de revolucionaria francesa con una peluca 'mi alegria' rubia. De plano mi cuerpecito no va a llenar el traje pero ni un poquitÃn.
Asi que bueno. si me lo consiguen, me cae que hago la manda y me visto de Oscar y subirÃ© fotos y todo aqui (junto con el fan art correspondiente para lavar la mancha que harÃ© con mi cosplay).
En fin, si me pueden conseguir el torrent del anime lo agradecere infinitamente...

What am I paying for???

all comissions include: sketch, inked drawing etc. Well, it all depends on what you ask. If say you ask for an sketch you get only the sketch, but if you ask for a full colored detailed fighting scene, you'll get the sketch, the inks (in case you want the drawing inked) and the final piece.

Given these, please when you try to calculate the final amount do not add, go to what you want!
Like for example, if you want a warrior sitting on a rock, just think on what this represents=a.k.a a simple scene with one character backgroundless (asuming you want it sitting on a rock with nothing behind him).
That is, it will cost you (full color) between 40-100.
To set the final price send me a note. My mail is on my webpage. If you want me to give you my mail for further questions, send me a note too.

All the deviations will be for personal use. This DO NOT include printing rights or anything.

What about fan art?

mmm I have been thinking about this. Well, I have to be honest with you. I would get mad if I knew someone is making a profit out of my characters, that's why I don't sell fan art as a basis. BUT, I also reckon that my main focus at fan art, is fandom perse, so I decided to offer comissions of Fan art (especially of STS, since it's my especialty ), with two simple rules, because hell, my beliefs is all I have now...

O.k then. I will draw OCs and Fan Fic Scenes. If it has been writen on a fan fic, then I can draw it. I think this would be kind of alluring for you guys and it might give you a nudge to comission me for fan art that is based on something you wrote, or a character you created therefore the art produced by me will be *yours*.

What's a kiriban? (yes, believe it or not, some people have asked me this)
Well, it's a hit counter prize pic. That is, you have visit my page and check the number on the counter if you can get a screen capture of the lucky number (this time is 30,000), you win a pic done by yours truly!

*rules will not be overlooked under any circumstance*

1.- You must be a watcher. (that means you have to be watching me).
I think it's pretty unfair (unfair to the watchers I mean)that people who pop out of the blue get kiribans just out of luck.
So...watch me! (and of course I can check on my list who's watching me. If I get a note by a dude that is not on the watch list, I'll pick up another winner)

2.- You MUST have a screen capture to get the kiriban. Evidently the screen capture should show the 30,000 number.
I will allow if you send me a screen capture say... of 30,005 or something like that (up to 30,020). whichever is closest wins-but be aware that a screen capture with 30,000 number beats them all.

3.- I will only pick ONE winner this time. why? because I'm loaded with work.

ah yes, and *please* send me a note whenever you'd decided what you want me to draw and no need to say: BE specific. I don't want to recieve vage notes with messages of: " I don't mind, you choose" or whatever, because that was the main reason that it took me so freaking long to finish the first kiriban. If I wanted to pic a theme for the kiriban, I would have uploaded the image with the message "win this pic".

Y solo quisiera dar un pie de nota. La tendinits se da, no por dibujar tanto, sino porque la gente no se cuida cuando lo hace. Luego de dibujar hay que dejar que la mano se "enfrie" por 15 minutos y siempre, siempre hay que utilizar guantes cuando hace frio. Hay que cuidar nuestras herramientas de trabajo.

Claro. o bueno, aveces, porque de hecho luego tengo 2 o 3 sketchbooks almacenados para que no me suceda esto. Siempre trato de tener repuesto de mis materiales, porque odio dibujar en hojas sueltas (luego es mÃ¡s dificil organizar los dibujos.

mmm... bueno no escojo los materiales porque sean los mÃ¡s caros y los mejores. El material tiene que ser administrado sabiamente. De nada sirve tener los mejores materiales, si no sabes como aplicarlos. Igual da tener unas acuarelas guitar a unas windsor. siempre que sepas administrar los materiales y aplicarlos podrÃ¡s conseguir buenos resultados.
Claro que desgraciadamente con unas marcas, algunos materiales SON mejores cuando compras la marca cara. Desgraciadamente a ultimas fechas, solo las cosas con la etiqueta de "profesional" son de hecho los mejores, mientras todo lo que venden para los niÃ±os o adolescentes son una mierda bien hecha. Prefiero pagar mÃ¡s por un material que se que saldra bueno, y no menos y tener que hacer el gasto de nuevo....

well, then. After a somewhat stressing weekend, I'm here again. Gah. I don't have the willpower anymore.

Anyway, I just found out how to customize my DA profile page with the new features and hell! it's ACE. I just dare you to try it out (if you have a paid account that is).

I will run out in a month or so, and I'm poor, so better use this feature while I can (by the way, I'm willing to exchange a comission for a year of subscription, if you are interested and serious about paymant via DA months, send me a note).

O.k people, I shouldn't be here, because you know, I need to draw, but I took a small break to post a poll (which I would love for you to answer), about the Kiriban -that is, the hit counter prize pic.

It's the third time I offer a kiriban and I had been doing so since I started to use this account (that'll be from october 2007). So anywaaaaay, since the number 30,000 is almost close I would love if you could help me decide on something.

My aim is being fair to everyone here, since I want everyone to win a pic.
So please answer my poll

Whatever you decide, that I'll do.

My options are:

a) If you won the kiriban the last time, I was thinking not let you participate this time. However you will be able to do so, next time.
That means : If you won the kirban at 10,000, you won't be able to participate in the next one, 20,000, but will be able to do so at 30,000.

That way everyone (in my humble opinion) will be able or in any case have the chance to win a pic

B) I do not want to say: kiriban winners won't be able to participate at all, but I am concerned that if a kiriban winner, gets the kiriban again, just when she or he already got it the last number, people will feel somehow dissappointed (maybe it's just me?).

ETA: C) Doesn't matter because it's unlikely the same person will win the kiriban two times in a row (though it *could* happen).
I also see a huge point on this option.

O.k happy new year to all of you.
I'm having a blast already. The SeSa event was somehow a success (man at least my recipient liked the fic I wrote, which was awesome because I'm such a fail at writing fics...and she's such an awesome writer), and I could rest... At least I was able to rest for a while. Ariel and I took a break and went out for walks in the moonlight and rented sappy films and all sort of romantic crap. It was like the best of the best.

I still have a few extra days to rest, but I'm afraid I will use them to draw (in fact this is what I'm doing. I just took a break to write this).

bueno chicos, pues ya llego esa epoca del aÃ±o en la que los dibujantes independientes nos jalamos literalmente de los pelos para estar a tiempo y sacar a la venta nuestro comic.

Well, I decided to change my layout
I still need to add a few things to this code etc, but so far I'm doing great.
In other great, great news, I just finished Mirror Tales, so that means I will have free time for myself at last (well, I'm still adding dialogues to it, but so far it looks great).
I still need to tackle the art trades I own and my fan art 100 table. I'm hoping to have my web site ready this week (hope so, because I signed in for the STS sesa and there's a fic that needs to be written ASAP) so that means all my STS art will be available again (aren't you excited??? -_-U

I still need to work on the 30,000 kiriban picture as well as all my wips
but the comic is done and I'm happy.
I seriously thought MT was never going to see the light again, but now it's ready for the release date and I'm very very excited.
My drawing has changed a lot in the past year and a half, and all the characters start to look, well, uhm, like humans. I'm pretty sure the 4th issue is gonna kick serious ass, because now that I'm drawing some profile sheets of some of the characters they look so different and well shaped (jt's my dream come true). that is a true testament of what practice can do!!!
I'm very proud of myself today

Well, anyway, I will shut up now, because I kinda posted this just to test the CSS and then got carried away by my own happiness over my improvement in drawing. gah. well.

I'm a surprised little duck. honestly. I never thought I would win something at the bishonen contest (I won second place and 1 subscription for a month, which is great, because I was *almost* running out and free DA sucks).
So wow.

this was the pic I submitted....

Anyway... I'm currently working on my comic and it's due for the 1st of december, so you know that I'm already FREAKING OUT, like big time because I was supposed to hand in the pages december 11th and now *again* I have to rush through everything to be on time. But well, after the dec 1st I will be able to sit down, finish *finally* the art trade and finish my web page -the fan art site- and see if I can organize the sts jam -it's during january, start preparing your pencils please-

Now I'll go, because I need to work on my page. GAH.

But I WON! *bounces*, with all the wonderful, wonderful drawings that were submitted, I really feel very flattered. I feel so happy today.

well, I have my computer back those apple guys sure were quick and the service wow! everyone was really nice to me (even when I was freaking out about the whole deal) and they let me show them -for my own piece of mind- what I thought was wrong with the computer.
I thought the MAC had something wrong with the hardware but as it turns out, it was me who screw up things this time.
FYI: if you like to have things clean and tidy, like I do, never wipe out dust or spots on the monitor with a semi-damp cloth. NEVER. it doesn't matter if you *think* it's more dry than wet, drops are more likely to go inside the frame of the LCD and leave horrible grey spots on the outside and on the inside. Obviously I thought the machine was overheating or something, because I'm VERY careful with my stuff. I never hit the computer anywhere and I'm always very careful to keep it away from dust, etc.

It turns out that my obsession for having things clean, caused my monitor to have gray spots on the monitor, because sometimes I did wiped all fingerprints etc out of the way with a damp cloth.

Funniest part was that the Apple guys left me a message on my computer that said: congratulations on having your machine in perfect conditions. Just try to not overdo yourself next time.

They taught me how to clean it and everything, because I told them I would not stop cleaning the computer. I HATE to see things dirty -for real-
In any case I have it now and I'm SOOOOO very happy. I missed it SO much. So very much. MAC rules.

I also asked the guys at the repair shop how to install GIMP. turns out I did everything right but downloaded the version for Leopard, which is the OS I thought I had.
It so happens that I have Tiger *raises eyebrow*. So you know, there was no way that GIMP was going to run on my Tiger based machine...idiot me. But now it works and really, I have no idea as to how it works.
I gave it a try, but it's just so very confusing, SO if you can give me pointers and stuff, I will appreciate (for example, how do you save a file keeping the layers on the document?).

And now I'll go. I need to transfer the files from the HP to the MAC now. yay me....

And oh, oh, remember, Next kiriban is at 30,000 (we are so very close and the counter is just going crazy) and the next STS Jam is going to be on January

Primero: para informaciÃ³n sobre el nuevo volÃºmen del oubilette visita el siguiente [link]

Segundo: Como ya dije anteriormente estaremos en la TNT y esperamos verlos a todos por alla. Estaremos en el pasillo de dibujantes independientes (lo usual), pero a diferencia de otras veces, estaremos PINTANDO y DIBUJANDO en el stand. el arte original que se produzca en esos dias estara A LA VENTA.

Ahora, dejemos algo en claro:

Los sketches (arte blanco y negro) NO SERAN PUESTOS A LA VENTA. Esos son GRATIS y si quieren un sketch pues con gusto lo realizaremos -lo usual-. pero si desean tener un dibujito a color, hecho en acuarela o lapices de colores etc -de nuestros personajes, claro- lo pueden pedir, pero tendra un costo. O bien, como estaremos dibujando constantemente durante la convencion (me refiero a pintando o coloreando), pueden tambiÃ©n optar por esa opciÃ³n, pues dichos dibujos estaran a la venta

Y pues bueno, si quieren pasar a vernos pintar, son bienvenidos, tambiÃ©n.

Recuerden la TNT es el 16 de octubre!

Por supuesto tambiÃ©n llevaremos prints y separadores y calcomanias y lo usual....

1) Are you currently in a serious relationship?
A. Yes, with:iconairel-orea:. we are going to get married this year or at the beggining of next year. I don't know when, really.

2) What was your dream growing up?
A. I wanted to be two things in life: a paleontologist or a painter (oil painter). Funny enough I quit on being a paleontologist when I found out I had to study Biology first.
I ended up being a different kind of painter, but I do still love dinosaurs and feel passionate about the early stages of the earth as well as the evolution of species and such. If I could study that now, I would.

3) What talent do you wish you had?
A. I Would love to be able to sing. I love music as well. it must be cool to be able to express yourself vocally.

4) If someone bought you a drink what would it be?
A.uhm, I don't drink. I have zero tolerance for alcohol.

5) Favorite vegetable?
A. mmm, I really love all of them. I'm a salad maniac! (but probably lettuce)

6) What was the last book you read?
A. War of the Roses by Allison Weir. Pretty good book about that English peridod.

7) What zodiac sign are you?
A. I'm virgo. My sun sign is in Sagittarius and my lunar sign is I think Tauro (or Scorpius). Something like that yes...

8) Any Tattoos and/or Piercings? Explain where.
A. I have three tattoos. Two on my shoulder blades and one in my tights. I have multiple piercings in my ears (7- 3 right ear and 4 in the left one). However I cannot wear earrings most earrings. i can only wear gold or silver rings.
I get allergies if I use plastic earrings

9) Worst Habit?
A. sucking my thumb :3

10) If you saw someone walking down the street would you offer them a ride?
A. only if I knew the person. I'm a bitch really.

11) What is your favorite sport?
A. Gymnastics, ice skating, hockey. All winter sports.

A. uhm. the problem with me is that I see things in two ways: black and white, which can result in an extremely positive attitude towards life OR in a extremely depressive way to approach things.

13) What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator with your crush?
A. I've been trapped with Ariel in an elevator. But Ariel is always afraid of being caught with his hands full...XD

14) Worst thing to ever happen to you?
A. worst thing? well, it depends, because right now I'm pretty mad at the orange juice box. the fucking little thing wouldn't open and I got all splashed with orange juice when I tried to force the bottle cap open!!! *grrrr*

15) Share one weird fact about yourself.
A. I'm afraid of water, but I do know how to swim and stuff.
I ended up learning how to swim when I was little, because I thought pools were filled with huge sea monsters; so you know I needed to learn how to swim.
Otherwise I couldn't have gotten away, if one of those monster decided it was time to hunt me down, that is.

My mom was a saint, really. She had to deal with all sorts of things because I always had a very dangerous imagination. Still do, by the way.

16) Do you have any pets?
A. Yes. Three cats: Cuzco, Druscilla and Gogol. I wish I had a dog though.

17) What if someone showed up at your house unexpectedly?
A. Depending on whom that person is. I usually don't answer the door.

18) What was your first impression of your best friend?
A. uhm, that she was a smooth talker and very intelligent (I met her when we were 10 years old)

A. Not funny, actually. I couldn't care less about clowns.

20) If you could change one thing about how you look, what would it be?

uf! I'm exhausted. But I learned a few things today. One is to never upload a photo of myself again (damned username, I love you so much, but you are not so helpful for PR purposes).
I'm very tired of people making fun of me, just because of my web nick name.

(o.k, for all those who only speak English. Milosflaca is a merge of two words "Milo's" and "Flaca". Flaca means slim or thin. and in spanish Flaca means that you are *really* very thin. like showing bones and stuff.
And uhm, well, I'm not like that anymore (although my mom called me that when I was a teenager. I was *very* 'flaca' back then. in any case It's a dear nickname to me and *that's* one of the reasons that made me put this words next to "milo").
However I can only brand myself as normal like. Not too thin, but not fat either. But you know... people always keep fixating on how big your ass is.
and to me it's offensive all those weight innuendos. I know I shouldn't be all ticked off about it, but I AM. It's not the fact people calling me fat -hell,it's not (I can not get offended for something I'm not). It's *just* the matter of how people -especially freaking stupid men-always separate chicks in two groups: Fat and Slim. They don't even give a damn if they are more or less decent in their morals or physically attractive. They just care if they are "thin" period. They can't see past *this* -and this is where evolution is just a theory-

So please, do not ever come and make fun of me because of my nickname. even when I put on extra pounds (yes, I'm human too.that can happen. I too have a weakness for sweets). For example, once I said I didn't like diet coke and OMG-LOL-WTF-BBQ, people started to call me "milos", because of course if I didn't take Diet Soda, I must be a fat chick and fat chicks "like me" don't drink diet soda.
Really people. Just don't. Don't joke about this. If I do "look" like my nickname or if I don't, it's none of your bussiness. in any case it's not polite, o.k?

two: that I need a 36 hour day or something, because honestly I'm dying here.
I'm trying to meet several deadlines all at once plus I'm trying to finish pending art trades and two entries for two contest and finishing the last links of a comissioned web page (plus I'm writing a fic and a book).
Bad thing is I'm tired of being in front of the computer.

I don't know if you guys EVER get tired, but I'm starting to get a bit nausated from being sitting here all day. But then, there's all the stuff pending that I *need* to finish and I panick (well, there's also lj replies and whatnot, but one shouldn't fall prey for internet addiction XD).

O.k then, it's been ages since I last updated this journal.... But the good thing is my to-do list is getting shorter

My last tutorial was published and I figure out I would ask you guys (since I got so many comments and notes about doing a tutorial for DA -and since I can't upload those who I was paid for here-) if you would like me to upload a tutorial.

I don't know much about computer coloring, but I think I have two or three tricks that might help you guys with your pics.
How do you feel about that. I'm drawing a lot right now, so it's not a problem to screen cap everything an upload the tutorial here.

So anyway, if you want me to do one, would you be so kind as to answer this questions for me?

1.- Which kind of program would you want me to use in the tutorial? Painter, Photoshop or both.
2.- Would you be willing to suggest a pic or point out elements that you would like to be seen and resolved through out a tutorial?
3.- Would you want to have a tutorial that explains you the basics of a program? (the tools etc)
4.-Do you actually care about the program that's been used throughout the tutorial, or do you just care about the techniques applied regardless of the program used?
5.-which kind of elements are you interested on knowing the how to-s in a tutorial? (coloring flesh, landscapes or applying textures etc).

o.k then.

Now, I'm just missing the Art trades! (I'm working on those now ).. I' m sorry it's taking so long but I wanted to rest a bit before I started to work on drawing again. I really needed a break

3.- Les gustarÃa ver un tutorial que expliacara las caracteristicas bÃ¡sicas del programa?
4.- Realmente les importa el programa que se halla escogido para el tutorial, o sÃ³lo las tÃ©cnicas aplicadas a lo largo del mismo? ( me refiero a la manera de aplicar el color etc).

I feel like fainting, but the book is nearly completed! Which is cool because I so wanna draw my pics for the fan art 100 challenge *and* the kiriban *and* the art trades and so on.
In any case it will feel great to draw something else that's not jewish related XD!
Plus I will be able to have a break on my bday yay!

And just so you know, I expect presents *points at you*

in other irrelevant news, WYPFM is coming out fiiiiiiine. I had to re-structure all the story, because I realized that I had posted the name of the fourth chapter. So you know...
I will have a chapter called "The man closest to...me" but I think it will be better if I have something before that chapter.
Nevermind me. In any case I'm having lots of fun. Plus since I'm doing this on the tiny breaks I'm giving myself, it's not hogging my time too much, which rocks, because I have like a zillion deadlines to meet.

So for me it's just one week to go! yay! just one week and I'm FREEEEEEEEE! (until the editors give me the next assigment, hopefully that will be in september).

Bueno, para todos los que les gustan mis tiras comicas, les tengo buenas noticias! A partir del nÃºmero 185 (en la revista Conexion Manga), estarÃ¡n saliendo unas tiras cÃ³micas mias. Espero luego poder subir algunas a esta cuenta para animarlos a comprar la revista! -digo, es que es mejor para mi que me apoyen de esta manera, asi en la redacciÃ³n me piden mÃ¡s tiras para su periodico.
Las tiras serÃ¡n relacionadas con el anime y diversas situaciones con respecto al genero.
Como soy una manchada, ya sabrÃ¡n como estÃ¡n XD

Me he divertido mucho haciendo estas tiras, y pues espero sus comentarios!

Por otro lado, el libro ya casi esta terminado y saldra al mercado a principios de septiembre (creo que si, por lo menos eso fue lo que entendi). Asi que bueno, en cuanto este a la venta, yo les aviso para que se den una vuelta por la libreria y recojan su copia. Con respecto al oubilette ahi la llevo.
Ya estoy por terminar el comic (el color). Lamento que ya parezca chiste, pero es que he andado con mucho trabajo, y lo del libro me esta dejando muerta (he trabajado fines de semana y dormido muy poco para que este a tiempo) asÃ que me parece que me dare una semanita de descanso and so on.
ademÃ¡s por que mi cumple esta cerca y quiero descansar XD. generalmente los cumpleaÃ±os me valen, pero este si que lo voy a disfrutar.

ohhhh, y ya fueron a ver Dark Night? esta de pelos. Vayan a verla, sobre todo si eres fan de batman... definitivamente una muy buena pelicula de super heroes.

O.k, I'm looking for the Resident Evil for Game cube. Unfortunately 'something' happened with my disc and well, the damned console doesn't read the disc anymore and I really don't know why. It was working just fine and suddenly it didn't. And I LOVE that game.

Bueno pues mi juego para Game Cube del Residen Evil se me jodio y de un dia para otro. ahora que lo pongo la consola simplemente no lo jala y pues es realmente exasperante. Si alguien esta dispuesto a vender su copia del resident se lo agradeceria infinitamente.
TambiÃ©n podrÃamos hacer trato y se los cambio por un dibujin (por una comision pues, en ves de varo hacemos intercambio con el juego). Vivo en la ciudad de Mexico (en el D.F). Agh, DA mooorphed! it looks cool, but I'm afraid I'm lost agaaaaaiiiiiiin *tears*.

It took me several months to get acquainted where everything was and now? gah!

Honestly they should have sent us a message with "this is what changed" (I'm not complaining about the upgrade, o.k?). Especially for all those who like me, is difficult to get used to stuff on the internet or have a bad memory (I suffer from both).

Aaaaaand I WANT to change my journal look. Any suggestions?

I'm looking for a good Css template, but it would be great if you could suggest something (point me to a deviation pleeeease)

Meanwhile I'll be coloring the book. Yesterday I swear I had like THE WORST luck ever. For some reason painter or PS kept reading the layers wrong. That's why the last deviation I uploaded looks a bit pixelated. The file was corrupted or something. In any case it was very exhasperating that I painted something and it look all messed up when I switched programs -_-

I was about to cry, because I still have to draw a comic strip and write some articles due the end of this month and the worst part of it all is I *think* I will have to travel outside the city!!!!

So in any case I don't know what the hell happened with my stupid programs, but I think there's something I did when saving the files, because I did a little test with other pics and both worked just fine.
So it should have been me then.

and ohhhhhhh, I want to organize another STS event, but this time with a theme, like draw STS character in the 80's or whatever. of fan fic illustrations or etc. or something that we could all participate in (I mean fan fic writers and fan artists alike).
I'm looking forward to draw them again when the illustrations for the book are done with
But I would need help to organize this!

Well, I wanted to record a process of a drawing, but uhm, I don't know how to do this in MAC.

I know there's a special program for windows users that actually comes with the OS (XP or VISTA), but uhm, since this is my first mac, I'm really clueless here.

So anyone... help?

Myabe the MAC has the program installed (with the iLife suite or whatever), but I wouldn't know because it's well, my first MAC. I'm still getting acquainted with it.

And OMG I thought I would have a note today about the winner of the kiriban. Just 50 hits to go... XD

1.- Just a heads up: I deleted most of the stuff I had posted at , because my site will be ready next week.

The only thing I will leave is the Would You Pose for Me, doujinshi, to which I disabled comments, because I have no intention of logging to that account again -_-

I'll soon be posting an announcement of "please watch milosflaca, because I'll be uploading fan art there"

If you are watching me already, and you are here for the fan art, I recommend you to enable the scraps section on your DA watch panel, so that you can be notified whenever I upload something new. Images as sketches and such, will be uploaded in scraps. Only full illustrations will be uploaded in the main gallery.

Of course I modified my galleries a bit. To start with, I added new (old) pieces of fan art to my main STS gallery [link]
And added a second one named STS comic strips [link]

Tomorrow I'll start coloring the last chapter of the children's book I was working on.
I'm looking forward to finish these illustrations, because I want to take a couple of days off to turn 30 years old in peace.

1.- I *just* finished all the line art from the book illustrations. Now, I just need to color them (yay me).I'll be on time and ready to get a new tattoo! *bounces*
I do not want to be working on my b-day.

2.- I'm still a bit sick, but I can draw, at least. Which is good, I think.

3.-ah yes, well. Yesterday I was organizing some fan art (got TONS of binders with sketches of unpublished fan art -I'm a proud fan artist!), and came across with "Would You Pose for Me?" ([link]). this brought a lot of memories to me.
First, it just reminded me how young I was and how little hopes I had of drawing professionally. After posting the unbroken drawing, I felt like the sky was the limit.
Then of course uhm well. Nothing happened, I got blocked and blah, blah. But that's another story. In any case when I saw those sketches It reminded me why I drew fan art in the first place. It was fun and amazingly the fandom found the strip as something hilarious an not as mary-sueish.
Though of course I still have people asking me if Camus is my favorite saint...gah! no (I though I made it perfectly clear that I wanted the nude portrait for Stayka. Not for myself *rolls eyes*).

But I'm missing the point here. The point is I do not know why I never finished the strip.
Yes, there was the accident that I had that prevented me from drawing. Then the artist block (I really didn't want to draw fan art anymore. I hated drawing fan art and the whole posting on the internet dynamics. I hated drawing, period) and well, then the little fact that yes, I get bored very easily.

Even with all that, I'm amazed that people still ask me about the strip (man, it was BADLY drawn, Horribly drawn, etc) and one person even told me that she read the strip even when she didn't like the series. That was the most flattering comment I ever recieved.

So here goes the thing. I came across with unfinished pages of the strip and I realized that I'm turning 30 this year.
I joined the fandom at age 21-22. so basically it's going to be 10 years since the last part of WYPFM? and that scared the shit out of me, because god! what the hell is wrong with me? I had never finish what I had started! like ever!

I could think on a thousand excuses. No seriously I could. There's the artist block. There's my never ending hate to my mediocre skills as an "artist". There's the... well, there are many things, but still, I really don't want to be like that always.

I feel a bit desperate right now. To acknowledge this, has been a shock because, it should be a shock, because it can't be that almost 10 years had gone by and I haven't been able to finish one fucking fan comic. It's ridiculous!!! It's scary. So I'm laying it out in the open, because THIS year, WYPFM will be finished and the same goes for my Fan Art 100 challenge (o.k, this won't be finished this year, because it's 100 drawings of STS. It's a lot of work, honestly, and after my table is finished i will no longer draw STS art.) and my Mirror Tales comic (that sadly had to be put on hold because I had to work). And all the challenges I've signed for.
The thing is to keep on posting. To finish them, regardless of the time it takes.

I need to go to the psychologist. Honestly. I'm worried. And unless you are Leonardo Da Vinci, you can't get away with not finishing things. And God knows I'm FAR from being a genius on the craft.
But YOU guys have to help me (I'm summoning the Fandom friends). I really can't be postponing stuff for later, because the "later" never comes. And well, Analyzing where it started, WYPFM, is the root of all evil, so I think I will draw a long chapter and finish that for once and for all. I'm a bit nervous about it, because I know that people have been expecting the comic and well. I can please everyone. In any case I drew that for Stayka, so I'll be glad if she likes it, period (this is me talking fast. I must be nervous).

Well, that's it. I feel better now. Must probably is that I'll be updating the journal twice today. I don't want this to be on the front page.
I'm ashamed of myself....

I decided to upload this a little sooner, because I'm going to be working in the book already and I do not want to be distracting myself with the checking of counters and stuff (I always put the announcement when the counter is 1,000 hits away from the lucky number).

So without further ado: KIRIBAN 20,000

What's a kiriban? (yes, believe it or not, some people have asked me this)
Well, it's a hit counter prize pic. That is, you have to visit my page and check the number on the counter, if you can get a screen capture of the lucky number (this time is 20,000), you win a pic done by yours truly!

Rules
*rules will not be overlooked under any circumstance*

1.- You must be a watcher. (that means you have to be watching me).
I think it's pretty unfair (unfair to the watchers I mean)that people who pop out of the blue get kiribans just out of luck.
So...watch me! (and of course I can check on my list who's watching me. If I get a note by a dude that is not on the watch list, I'll pick up another winner)

2.- You MUST have a screen capture to get the kiriban. Evidently the screen capture should show the 20,000 number.
I will allow if you send me a screen capture say... of 20,005 or something like that (up to 20,020). whichever is closest wins-but be aware that a screen capture with 20,000 number beats them all.

3.- I will only pick ONE winner this time. why? because I'm loaded with work. Plus you guys have 1,500 hits to get it right this time.

What you can request:

You can request anything you want. From traditional media to digital coloring.
HP, Saint Seiya, my characters etc.

Of course I won't draw comic pages or color your line art (I'm sorry to be so specific, but I'm acting according to my own experiences with Kiribans). Also I won't draw portraits (of real people I mean, meaning your relatives etc) Other than that, ask away!!! yay!

ah yes, and *please* send me a note whenever you'd decided what you want me to draw and no need to say: BE specific. I don't want to recieve vague notes with messages of: " I don't mind, you choose" or whatever, because that was the main reason that it took me so freaking long to finish the last kiriban. If I wanted to pic a theme for the kiriban, I would have uploaded the image with the message "win this pic".

Para todos los despistados, les comento que un Kiriban es un premio que se le otorga al visitante de una pagina web, que llega justo a tiempo cuando el contador marca un nÃºmero en especÃfico (me hice bolas yo sola con la explicaciÃ³n).
O sea: esta vez el Kiriban esta marcado para el nÃºmero 20,000. Si tu visitas mi pagina cuando el nÃºmero este marcando dicho nÃºmero, ya ganaste! (solo hay que sacarle un screen capture a la pantalla, pero bueno, no me adelanto y lee las reglas).
