So I've been a little quiet recently because my company's investors couldn't afford to pay for me, resulting in me losing my first job after three short weeks (GAH).

In the meantime, I've been trying to make ends meet by working with :devjtlan: on an original iPhone game!  We're hoping to release in September.

I was sketching and inking today, and I had absolutely no control over the lines-- all shaky and way too thick, and straying way too far from the sketch.  I think that's been going on quite a bit recently-- I can't draw those light, delicate lines anymore, and I can't really pull off continuous curves with a single stroke.

And from that Eden pic, I realized that I've pretty much lost the ability to paint in Photoshop.

I think most people who are opposed to it do NOT understand the implications of the function.  Currently, it is extremely easy to steal art off of deviantART-- you have a flipping jpg or other such image out there in the open already!  A simple right click, Download, or even printscreen can allow anyone to take the pic, claim it as their own, or even sell it.

Wow, man, what's up with Tokyopop recently?  If you haven't heard, they're cutting their release volume, retracting solicitations, laying off dozens of employees, and cancelling OEL projects or just resorting to sticking them on the web, all in the span of a couple weeks.  All this right after they get all the massive internet drama about that frightening Pilot program... Makes me wonder how long this company will last as the center of the published OEL market, and if it's worth banking on them to exist.  Not that I think I could/would work with Tokyopop, but you know, whatever.

Guidelines:
1. I can reject any commission for any reason; as a forewarning, I don't do hentai, yaoi/yuri, extreme violence, etc.
2. Please don't take back commissions after I've started (progress will be noted in journals).  I will not take back commissions once I have accepted them.
3. I will post a copy of the finished commission in my gallery unless you request otherwise.  Please give me credit, and do not claim the work as your own.

6 weird things about me:
1) I have a really low "gross" threshhold, which is REALLY weird because as a kid I loved bugs and guts and stuff, if only because I wanted to be a tomboy, or a "conformist noncomformist."  This probably ties into my overactive imagination, so when someone describes something disgusting to me, I visualize it and feel it and taste it and... brrrrgh.  (This does mean my parents can't pressure me into med school, yay!)

I'm working on a lot of projects now.  Just to give you an idea:

1) RSoM 17.  I have 3 plunnies that I've gotten good feedback on (a comedy "Vampire Hunting Club", a drama "Lucky Thirteen", a romance "Red"), so I'm probably going to be trying all three (in that order), and by December, picking the one I like best.

2) Webcomic: BS! Our KM table made $400 for the con (across 7 people).  I made $74 (not bad for first con?), selling maybe 20% of what I had brought.  Well, if you subtract printing costs, table costs, membership costs etc, I think I barely broke even -_- but that's not what matters, right?  (I mean, last year I broke even with membership because I won $30 of free stuff... though not this year -_-)

RSoM 6 winners announced; Shady and RyoK got in~  Some of the predictions I made (namely that Bomango would win and 10 Simple Rules would make People's Choice) came true!  All the others were all on my "Will Win" list, except Orphans, which I still don't understand and don't think should have won.  Meh.

I have sent in "To Hell with Destiny!" re-renamed "Oracle Breaker" because my bro thinks that the story should go in the adult category.  Figures.  Last night was a mess; I worked on tones and finishes from 7 PM to 4 AM, then woke up again at 7 to fix images, burn, and package.  I know that's not that bad for most people, but for the girl who still had to sleep 10 hours in 10th grade...that was bad.
