... I've been so busy. There are a lot of competitions going on and, although I joined few, it's hectic! Skit, solo, duet, band, and then there's the community orchestra x__x Not to mention, school orchestra too!

Of course, I'm fully content with the PCOC(Puchong Community Orchestra and Choir). I didn't go online last weekend because we had officially lauched the orchestra with an awesome performance! That means that we're an official orchestra now. Yay.

Lately... I've been meeting with a lot of cockroaches. One even came to school... x___x

Anyway. On to the tag. A friend showed this to me, and she is not a deviant. Nor does she have any webpages featuring any form of artwork.

1. Can you define art?
No. I can't.

2. State five things about you.
Five? That's quite a lot, and I very much enjoy my privacy. But if you insist:
a) My longest finger(middle) is about 7.4 cm
b) My smallest finger(pinky) is about 5 cm
c) There are those days when I feel like doing nothing but run around at the park
d) There are those days when I feel like doing nothing but sleep in my room
e) I have stated four useless facts about myself

3. How many times have you been tagged?
A few times. One or two. I'm not very tag-able...

4. Do you enjoy studying?
No, I don't. I know a few who does, though... Wonder how that feels like.

5. How messy is your working space, exactly?
Um, gee. I don't know. There are papers scattered all over, remains from the latest art project are still on my desk, a bunch of letters are messily piled up on my scanner, a small bag of chocolates is right in front of the monitor, and the wires are all tangled up like a bunch of snakes strangling each other. I also see glimpses of pens and pencils among the papers, but no eraser. My desk is definitely not dirty, though. Just unorganized.

6. When you are not an artist, who are you?
A musician, I guess. Or a comic-reader. My first years of Internet involved webcomics. LOTS of it. I was a typical "ghost" reader.

7. Have you ever went to an art class/course?
No, I have never been to art classes, except for the compulsory ones in school. The only "art class" I go to is the Internet. Yay for web-tutorials and friendly artists!

8. Do you, currently, make profit out of art? If no, would you do so in the future?
No, I'm not and probably never will. Who on Earth would want my drawings up on their wall? (Or on any object, for that matter?)

9. Photography: Art or no?
Art. Please don't argue.

10. Literature: Art or no?
Art. Some poems and stories are just so wonderfully written, just like how some paintings are just so wonderfully painted.

11. Have you ever attempted to start a comic of your own? Or do you already have a comic of your own?
A webcomic, yes. Hahaha... I've left it dead for a while now... Maybe I should update... yeah... It's about time we get to the drama... >_>

12. At what age did you first develop an interest in art?
9 years old. Now that I look back, the drawings were horrible. I still keep them, though. I wonder why...

13. Are you good at designing posters?
No, I don't think I am. I'd need plenty of opinions beforehand.

Yes. Stop asking this. We all do, even in the smallest amounts.

Oh my, yes. Yes, I do!

I suppose this is a little late, but thanks to all who voted. Thanks to you all who are either from Sedaya (Hi Christian and... friends!), from Sri KDU, from DrunkDuck, from the orchestra, from my family, or, last but not least, deviants.

I guess I had a little fun along the way. Though I'm not entering the next tournament, perhaps Kitty will make his comeback one day. Right now, school is too overwhelming.

But you were probably sick of me rambling about asking for votes, so let's change subjects.



First, apologies. I didn't get back to your comments, watches, notes, and favs. I haven't been very active as of late.

A friend from the orchestra. The day we first met was the best day ever. XD
An awesome artist who I met at a deco-team meeting. I've seen her drawing folder. They are AWESOME.





Anyway.

Lately, I've been thinking about me and deviantART... the past, future, and present.

I mean, look at the date I joined dA. November 2004. 2004! And that's when the layout was still dull and gray. The submission form was plain, and the polls weren't where they are now. The "Mood" thing in commentaries didn't even exist! @_@

Innocent days. I was young, stupid, and 11. Thinking that I could write some stuff. After that, though, I started to draw. My dad bought a scanner. I'm still using the same scanner today. (It's starting to make strange sounds, though)


I can only guess the number of people I blinded with my drawings back then. Heck, I coloured with Paint! MS Paint! Then my uncle introduced me to Gimp. It was Gimp 2.2. And it took me a few years to realize that there is already a version 2.6 of Gimp. What about Adobe Photoshop? I never got my hands on it until a few years later, and by that time I was already too used to Gimp. Still am.

Anyway, then this deviation came along. That's when I started using Inkscape to fulfill my inking needs.

And these were the past.


Then I start thinking whether I'd still be using dA in the future. Will I stay in this old account? Will I drop the pencil, never to return?


I don't know.

Especially with school getting much more serious and I have a couple of years left before I leave school. ESPECIALLY with the most important national exam taking place next year.

I'm still drawing though. So that's a good start. I think.



Now, why the hell did I just ramble about that?



I don't know.





I'm just bored, I guess.

I checked the polls in the morning before going to school and I had already thought it was already Kitty's defeat. Ryan was leading by few numbers. Hours passed by and I had completely forgotten about the tournament. Until after school.

But you're probably waiting for the "interesting event" (see previous journal). Actually, it's more like a whole new creepy experience.

Damn, and I promised that I'll write it up most awesomely, too. Well, I'll try my best anyway! ... Maybe it's not really an awesome event after all.


One fine evening, I was lounging about in my room with my sisters. (I love my room. It has everything I need, save for food) My older sister went into the toilet and came back out almost immediately. She spoke of an unspeakable horror.




"There's a cockroach in the sink."







Shut up! Don't laugh at me!

Anyway.

Naturally, I went to check it out. I didn't see any, until I took a closer look inside the sink... and I saw a pair of familiar antennas from the sink's drain. Then a huge black body popped out.

It was crawling out of my sink! What the hell?!

With a girly scream I backed off. I hugged the door. (My door-hugging experience: Cold and painful)

Within seconds, it made its way to the surface, poking its long sticky antennas around my toothbrush... the tissue box... the toothpaste... *brrr*

I was in a toilet, and the only "weapon" I had in mind was water. (I wonder what made me think that I could kill a cockroach like that?) So I sprayed it with water and cornered it with toiletries. I stopped spraying. Wanted to see if it was still moving.

And, guess what? It was STILL moving! With its fast-moving legs, it dragged its slimy body back out in the open. Well, you definitely can't stop a cockroach with just water...

So, giving up on water, I dropped the shower hose and decided to grab the ultimate weapon that one can have in a toilet...

A PAIL!!!

That's right. A pail!

I told my younger sister to keep watch of the cockroach, in case it runs out of the toilet while I grab the pail. Quickly enough, I got a hold of the pail and smashed the living hell out of the cockroach, screaming.

I stopped after a few hits. I stared at the roach. Was it dead? Was it still alive?

IT WAS STILL ALIVE.



My last resort? I cut off its head with the pail, smashed it a bit more, and dropped the roach down the drain. I placed weights on the drain's opening.

My lavatory is no longer as safe as before...



Don't get me wrong. I'm fine with spiders, lizards, and slugs, but... cockroaches? No. Just no. Don't tell me that it was just innocently barging into my toilet and infecting my toothbrushes with whatever it had stepped on. It was scary D:

Actually, if you asked me what was so scary about the cockroach, I don't know. Maybe it's the black glossy exoskeleton. Shiny bugs always creep me out. Maybe it's the long, sticky-looking antennas. I don't know. They just scare me.

So how was your experience with cockroaches? Or maybe with other little insects that you dislike slightly more than any other?



From now on, I'm not going to take a shower without checking for cockroaches...

I'd just started my first week of the new term last Monday, and I think it was a great week. I am now in a different class than I was last year, and, what's more, my classmates are all different people, too!

To those who knows what I'm talking about: I'm in the pure science stream. I find the classes very interesting. To those who doesn't know what I'm talking about, ignore this paragraph.

Putting that aside: Woot! My techie uncle has installed my scanner's software thingy so now I can scan again! ISN'T IT AWESOME!? YEHHH. (Uh, if you find me freaky, ignore the last few words. I couldn't resist it. Blame my particular group of friends)

I am now colouring the previously mentioned drawing of Luffy, and at the same time trying to find the lost drawing of Edward Elric. I suspect that the latter had either ran away or kidnapped by a space dwarf for unknown(and best left unknown) reasons.

So, hey. I'm feeling good. I'm going to wander off now. Maybe play Fallout 2. Or reread my collection of (outdated) books. Or play the piano. Or the violin. Or guitar. Or study for my next year's classes, but who do you think I am?

My Exam-Of-Life-and-Death is looming closer each day.

Sheeeeet, this is creepy. It's kinda' like, the whole damn country is taking the papers at the same time and day, and you wonder if you can beat the rest by getting straight A's.

I took eight subjects, and I'm not crazy enough to take fifteen. One kid did a few years back and got A's for all of them. Crazy, I tell you. Crazy.

My scanner is an abomination to humanity.

Anyway, since I can't do no shitz during this long holiday, I've been playing the piano a lot. On that note, I'm currently practicing a soundtrack from Chrono Trigger. I'm hoping of uploading a cover of it on Youtube. And then maybe another cover of Charlie the Unicorn 2. Then a soundtrack from Final Fantasy Tactics. I also plan on recording Aerith's Theme from FF7 first, since I can play that pretty well. (Maybe I'm just too ambitious...)

But, y'know, I'm just too damn lazy.

And now, we have Fullmetal Alchemist.

I'm a little late in joining the FMA fan community, but eh. This thing is the bomb. I drew Ed, but then I realized my scanner is currently uncooperative. So... I decided to try to draw him by Microsoft Paint. See if that works. I stopped three seconds later.

So. I love Edward Elric.

In reference of my previous journal, my day wasn't so bad after all. My brother said he ordered Mass Effect for the PC, both the Standard and Special Edition. I hope to play it soon... Anyone played Mass Effect yet?

Okay, see it's my Mid-Year holiday. And that's a two-weeks holiday.

So I decided to draw.

And I did! I swear! Comics and all! Even a picture of Luffy from One Piece!

Then I turned my computer on. Vrrrrr. It started to flicker. No, it wasn't breaking down. It was fine. So I reached the login page (I password protect my computer). I typed stuff to my keyboard, then looked away to my paper. After a few minutes, I checked the screen, see if it was done loading.

Not a single thing moved. I was still at the screen of inputting password.

I typed again. Nothing moved. No text was inserted. I checked my keyboard plug. It was plugged, but to an extension. So I checked the extension.

Someone stole the extension's cable.

I groaned. I plugged out a few things and directly plugged the keyboard to the computer.

Didn't work. It seems that Apple Intel computers won't work with the Apple keyboard when it's Windows booted up. (I once had a wireless one. I hated it so much) Maybe it's just my luck. I have a history with computers, and they're not very pleasant.

I searched the whole room for it. Maybe someone had used it and placed it back in this room, but didn't plug it back. I searched high and low for it, but to no avail.

I got fed-up and then took a short nap.

I awoke minutes later, only to start the search again. This time: the whole house.

I found it, in the end. (Like the Malay proverb, "Di mana ada kemahuan, di situ ada jalan". It basically means that with determination, there will be a way) I found it in my brother's room. I groaned louder than ever. I grabbed the cable, and left a note under his laptop. The note's contents shan't be disclosed. Gwaha.

Rather happily, but slightly fed-up, I went back to my comfortable seat in front of the computer. I plugged the cable in to my computer and the extension. My keyboard lives.

So I typed in my password. It worked. I literally danced in joy when I saw my desktop appear on the screen.

I checked my Internet whether it was working. It was. Joyfully, I continued my drawing. I was, at that point, doing the final inking to a drawing of Luffy.

"Yes!" I cried out half-an-hour later, putting down the pen, "It is done!" with those words, I hurried to the scanner, and slid the paper onto the glass. I closed the lid.

I turned on a switch. The scanner blinked with life. I went back to my computer to start scanning.

I clicked on the "Start" button on the taskbar. I clicked All Programs, and then HP. Finally, I launched "HP Image Editor".

A splash image showed up. Annoying photo. I then clicked on a button that said, "Get Image..." It popped another list next to it. I clicked 'From scanner".

I was searching for something around "HP3-in-1 1315" or something. But none like that came out. The list was fooking empty.

I checked the "Printers and Scanners" from the "Start" bar. Nothing - and I mean NOTHING - around the words of "HP 1315" was listed.

I could've SWORN I could still scan and print from that bloody thing a week ago. Now, it's GONE. I can think of many reasons, and one of them being that my computer is mingled by many hands.

So I tried my sister's computer, who I always use as a last resort and ALWAYS works as a last resort.

This time? Fat chance. Her computer's a wack, the mouse won't move, and it's a Vista, which is very confusing to me. But I was determined. I worked my way through with just the keyboard. I found that she hadn't any HP in her All Programs list. So I checked the Printers and Scanners.

Nothing was on the list.

Nothing. At. All.

"Fine," I said to myself, out of irritation. I turned off the computer as it slowly died after a few "End now" pop-ups. I started to look for the HP 1315 software installation disk.

I stopped the search three seconds later. I was through with searching. I took the paper from the scanner and the stack of comics from my desk and shoved them into my archives drawer.

I then went into the kitchen and did something anyone else would've done.

That's right. I sat on the fridge and threw eggs at anyone who happens to come close.

(If you believed that... I wouldn't know what to say)



So, right now, it basically means that I have two weeks worth of holiday with no new games to play, and no scanner to entertain me.

WHAT A VERY BAD DAY. TECHNOLOGY DOES NOT AGREE WITH ME.

... I'll just play my PSP, playing Radiant Mythology over and over again...

I want a hug.

I haven't been struck by inspiration lately, so I'll probably lay low.

Also, I'm in my third year of Secondary school (Year 9), and that is one of the most important years of my education. If I fail my PMR (sorta' like GCSE), my future is doomed.

Hello,

One journal each month! At this rate there'll soon be one journal per YEAR.

A lot had happened it the past few... months. Oh. I didn't have an entry from September until now. Daaaaang.

I'll start from the oldest.

You see, it all started in September 29, quite a long time ago. I was but a sperm, looking for a way out. Then, I saw this round spherical object. I asked the other sperms, "Why are they heading there banging their heads on that ball?" the other sperm, who was the only one who answered me, quickly mumbled, "It's the gateway to freedom," and sped off. Puzzled, yet determined, I, too, followed suit. I felt like an idiot banging my head on that ball, but I succeeded at last. I got in. I looked behind me, taking a look at my fellow sperms...

Oh, not THAT old? Right.

It's around the 6th of November, see. Some of my family members and I went to Geneva. One reason is to visit another aunt, her husband and my cousin, the other reason is to visit some places in Europe.

So we arrived at the airport. "We" as for this moment translates to my brother, sister, cousin and I. Stuff happened. Then I found out that my cousin's friend would be joining us.

Hold on, pause. It's hard to refer to my cousin as "my cousin" every time, as I have a lot of cousins. Let's call her "Izzaty". That's what we call her. I don't know whether it's supposed to be an "i" or "y". I didn't spell it.

The flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Geneva, Switzerland, took... thirteen hours, I think. I'll keep it short because I still love you. So far.

We stayed at the aunt's apartment. This aunt and her husband would be Izzaty's parents, and the other cousin would be her younger sister. We'll call her "Zana", because the nickname we gave here would make you run in horror. Zana and her parents had been staying in Geneva for quite some time. She misses Malaysia. Nasi lemak, anyone?

She showed us around. It was so cold that I haven't smelled sweat for almost a month. (Not like I SMELL my sweat, mind you. But you get the point. Right on.) My mom and OTHER aunt joined us two weeks after.

Now that we have a full group, we packed lightly and went on a sidetrip to...

Paris.

If you think I'd gone "squee" or "yay", you're wrong. I thought I'd gone "LOL" or "ROFL", but I'm also wrong.

I went "oog". Y'know, oog. Not that file type. I went "oog" and then "blargh!". I got sick in Paris. Vomiting late at night isn't my idea of fun. Unless you know how to have fun with barf. (I don't. Don't get me wrong. Ew.)

My few days in Paris wasn't very good--aside from the fact that I got sick. I stayed in the hotel most of the time. Which was good, because there weren't many taxis going about, and I don't think I could walk without vomiting or punching someone.

There was a riot back there. Something about a wrong turn on retirement plans. I don't know. I was sick and wasn't listening to the news. Mayhap I would do some research later.

Bad time to visit Paris, huh? You bet.

Then we flew to London. I like it there. Because they all spoke English. And I wasn't sick. Too bad it was too cold and wet. I got to see Big Ben, Hyde Park, and many other places. Then we made a side trip to visit my mom's landlady when she came to London to study. She lives in Seven Oaks. Nice quiet place there.

Final destination: Rome. It was the best. Mainly because everyone was healthy. You see, each one of us dropped sick during the side trip. Everyone except my aunt. Dang. What did she take?!

Then we flew back to Geneva. Now, that wasn't so lengthy, now, was it? Was it?

A few days in Geneva and we flew back to Kuala Lumpur. Home sweet home. I started to appreciate Malaysia more since then.

Quite a few weeks after that, I saw "I Am Legend", a movie starring Will Smith. The movie was pretty good. Although in the end, (this may or may not be an spoiler) he could've thrown the grenade and THEN go in... But maybe I'm missing a point.

Worst of all, the next thing I knew, next week's school.

Not like I'm worried or nervous. What's there to be nervous about? Jeez. I'm just lazy, you know. I like to stay where I am. But, apparently, if I want to do that I'd have to study, so there. No use getting all worked up over nothing.

My new year resolution? I don't have any, like many of you out there. It's like keeping a promise, except no one holds you to it. Unless you asked someone to. Oh uh.

It's finally the midterm holiday. One week. I've been keeping myself busy with books.

Now, if you are someone who likes reading James Bond-kinda-book, I recommend the Alex Rider series. I've read through the series two times. It's just very gripping. There are six books in the series; Stormbreaker, Point Blanc, Skeleton Key, Eagle Strike, Scorpia, and Ark Angel. My favourite book is Scorpia. So, if you feel like reading other stuff, try the Alex Rider series, written by Anthony Horowitz. I read these books instead of Harry Potter! (OMG IT'S TEH OFFeNCE)

Then I read Oliver Twist. I was bored.

I also read The Lab, by Jack Heath. It's something like Alex Rider, except more suparnatural-ish. Y'know, like those superhumans and stuff.

After that, I poked around my book rack. I came across my ol' book, Of Mice And Men. Well, of course I read it. I was bored. Again.

Then I read my first two copies of the Demonata series, by Darren Shan. I never got around to look for the third book...

... And THAT is how my unusual weekends would be. There's actually a bunch of others but I think I'd bore you.

Oh, I also read through my old Enid Blyton books!

After I read all of my most-favourite books, I drew. Y'know, that thing that i do that produces scary looking things on paper?

Just kidding. I actually went to watch Surf Up. The characters in Happy Feet were much cuter, though. I'm not the type to squeal, but Happy Feet made me squeal. In delight.

So, in conclusion:

Need more books. Gather discount coupons. Buy books.

So, I got some of my Mid-year examination results.

Burying my head into math for the past few weeks was worth it! I scored well.

I didn't really study for English (cough )but I passed anyway.

As for my Malay exam, I didn't score GREATLY, but I passed.

I also passed my Mandarin test. Yeah, well, I got a B for it, but I still passed.

Same goes for Science. I didn't study it. At all. Don't ask why, but, somehow, I passed with a B. (It helps being 'question-wise' sometimes)

My geography marks aren't perfect, buuuuuuut I passed anyway.

I'm still waiting for my History score. I'll be getting it tomorrow. So far, I've been doing good. Good enough to pass, anyway.

Actually, my exam was done with WEEKS ago, and after THAT, there was a two weeks of holiday.

Oh, I didn't really enjoy the holiday (except for the 'occasional' gaming hours). There was a Geography presentation that was needed to be done. It's done with, yesterday. Just when I thought I'll finally be able to go to bed early, another project comes by. An English presentation on the given topic.

Okay, so I didn't mind it so much because it was partner work, but, apparently, one of my friend (a close one) will be transferred to another school, so now we have 27 students in the class.

Naturally, there's an odd one who has to do the project alone.

Guess who's doing it by herself.

Anyway, this'll be a busy week.

Oh, I haven't been updating much, and I have SO MUCH to tell.

First, my class has a band of its own. It's for the school's Paramount Championship. Each class that has its own band can compete. My class' passed the preliminary round (Only One by Yellowcard), so now they're preparing for the finals. I played for the band in the preliminary round (there's a violin in that song). I wasn't all that great, considering whatever that had happened before. Hint hint. (I used to suck badly! xD )

Second, a friend of mine is leaving the school I mentioned this just now. His crazy habits and random outbursts will be missed. Although he says that he'll visit the school whenever there is a special celebration or anything. Like an Open Day, where everyone's free to visit the school.

Thirdly, I saw the sexiest violin that could ever exist on the planet.

Before you start arguing that it's an electric GUITAR, it's an electric VIOLIN. I have one (which I had used for the band) but its not as sexy as THAT.

So, anyway, it's time for me to get busy. Sigh.

It went HORRIBLE. Schrecklich. Mauvais. Difettoso. Teruk. And various other "bad" and "horrible" in other languages.

The solo went BAD.

Oh, c'mon. I was nervous. I felt the fiddle shaking.

My violin was all screechy and I made a VERY obvious mistake in pitching.

"You messed up alot" said Some-Dude-That-I-Know-But-Not-Know-That-Well. Oh, that REALLY MAKES ME FEEL ALL BETTER.

Truth is, it doesn't.

Simply put, I screwed up.

So there.

At least I tried, eh?

I embarrassed myself infront of people and all I can say right now is "I tried"? Gawd.

I'm nervous.

So 'effing nervous.

I'm also happy at the same time.

But Mr. Nervous dominates Mr. Happy.



See, there's this battle-between-classes-in-various-categories thing going on. There are competitions on English/Malay poetry writing, English/Malay essay writing, English/Mandarin/Malay debate, chinese chess, so on and so forth.

So many languages.

There's even cooking contest.

Lol.

But guess which one was I registered into.

More than one, actually.

English and Malay poetry writing, Logo designing, Syarahan(Speech in malay), Solo instrument and sajak.

I'm not sure how to explain sajak... er... It's like... uh...

Okay, nevermind. I suck at this.

But that's not what I'm worried about.

I'm worried about SOLO INSTRUMENT.

As much as I appreciate my class and my teacher for believing in me that I can play the violin, I am much, much more nervous than a TRAIN WRECK.

There are three judges. I only know(not personally) two of the judges for solo instrument. And guess what?

Seniors will be sitting in there. LISTENING.

Listening to my horrible screeching of the squeky strings and rubbery fiddle.



But that could be my nervousness speaking.

Just so you know, I'll be playing Fernando, and as far as I know was sang by Abba. A famous song of the 80's, I've been told.

Wish me luck. But by the time you read this I've probably gone through the prelims and died.

Oh well. Pray me good luck. Thank you. I'll love you for it. Truly.

I actually wanted to do Canon in D.

But it was kinda bland, and the notes are for piano anyway.

...Sports Day. I fucking hate Sports Day. No, I do not hate sports. But that's just my school.

Or it might just be my "sport house". If you're clueless, it's like a clan, usually four of them, to compete in sports.

Now, that's not the reason I'm pissed. The reason I'm REALLY FREAKING PISSED is, they think we'd have the time for the practices.

I wouldn't mind if they did it on school hours, maybe do it on P.E lessons, or whatever. The thing is, THEY DO IT AFTER SCHOOL. And what do we have after school? Mainly tuitions, classes, et cetera et cetera. Well, I don't, but my little sister does. At five. And from school to home takes half an hour.

My little sister gets freed earlier. Her school time ends at 1PM or so. Mine ends at 3.40 PM.

But the "meeting" ended at 4:40PM or so.

I mumbled(I think I did) something about the meeting took longer than what's really needed. One of the students gave me an "I kill you" glare.

But what do I care? I'm sports-inclined. Hell, I don't think anyone has been interested in sports so far as this family's generation has gone. I have my own opinions too.

I still enjoy P.E. lessons. Why? Because it's on school hours! No time wasting. No schedule on set.

Sure, we can write a letter.

But my mom writes so many letters, I think she got sick of it.

Gaah. I hate this, really hate this. I'll be happy again once Sports Day ends. VERY HAPPY. SO HAPPY THAT I'LL BE ABLE TO DRAW AGAIN. I don't want the comics to be all emo and angsty.

I enjoy sports, but I don't enjoy how the school sets it. I don't think I'll ever be able to like sports again, if this goes on.

As a final note, this goes to the students/teachers from the school I go: I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU'RE GONNA SAY TO ME. I have my rights to say this. If you still want to argue because you think you're right, bah. There's no right or wrong in this. It's a matter of opinion.

But, really, I know they're making us students more "outgoing" and "active". I'm more outgoing and active when I'm with my friends, in CLASS. I only know TWO out of a HUNDRED students in my sport house.

... That's the end of the note to the people from my school. And, if you're curious, I don't know wether teachers visit this page or not. But I am SURE that my friends from ANOTHER school, still visits this page.

Apologies to anyone offended. I'M offended myself; they think that I have all the time in the world.

My new school books have already been bought.(Somehow, I have this urge to say "buyed") Yeah, it's that time of the year again.

Getting ready for school.

At least I won't be a first year anymore. But my class would probably be on the second floor.

Today, I cut my hair short. Now it's all puffy and round and... bobby. Bah, you know what I mean. Good news is, it'll be easier to wash.


I haven't been able to DRAW anything! NOT EVEN A SMALL CIRCLE!(No, really) I had a "Winter Holidays" comic prepared(in my brain), but I couldn't find the time to do it.

My cousins are here for the holidays, just so you know.

A few days ago, which I estimate was around the 2nd of December, my mom's cat, Sunny, had passed away. I assumed it was around 4pm.

I had never really inquired much, but Sunny was suffering from some illness, that whenever he eats, it goes straight out. (No, it doesn't goes out solid. ... I think...) Of course, he still manages to get food somehow. By feeding him with certain types of food, that is. But somehow, he didn't want to eat during his last couple of days.

Y'know, when you have a cat, you feel like you have a companion for life? A cat's life is short. Sunny was about 72 years old in human years. You can tell by looking at their teeth, said the vet.(Of course, roughly translated from Malay)

I hope that doesn't happen to Shawal. He's everywhere I go, within the household. To the bed, he follows. To the bathroom(yes, bathroom), he tries to get in. To the kitchen, he follows. To sleep, he sleeps in the same room, whenever my sister's not sleeping with him.

If he's not around, it feels so dull. You'd know if you have a pet, maybe a cat or dog. I remember one time he was lost for 2 days. Man, it was so, so dull.

Sunny has a brother, Adam. Well, not really brothers, but they grew up together since they were kittens. Since I was three. Adam is well and fluffy. There used to be four cats in the household. Now there are only three. Shawal, Adam and Pretty. Yes, her name is Pretty. Hehe. She IS a pretty cat, though.

It starting to become annual. EVERY SINGLE YEAR it DIES! My computer tends to die at the end of each year, especially November.

All I have, once again, is tha iBook. Still, I can scan stuff. Except it'll be all in pencil. Since the Inkscape installation is, what, a whole version lower than mine. I can't degrade this iBook now can I? And I basically suck at Photoshop(which I can access from my brother's computer), because use I Gimp. Its just not the same T_T

Also, numb hand. The left one. I'm typing with one hand, see. Don't ask why, it just got numb today.

Today, which is the 10th of November here, is the Performance and Awards Nite. It lasted from 7.30 PM to 10PM, and it was done in the school hall.

Sometimes, I think it's a good idea to join the orchestra or a group of people playing music. You find people similar to you, yet diffrent. It's like a person with the same interest yet diffrent personality and tastes.

I had really enjoyed the night. It was great fun. I loved it. Really, I do. It was fun. The conductor(who conducts the music... not electricity) said we did a good job. And we indeed did!

I half expected something to kill me or force me to be unable to attend. However, nothing happened. I came. I played. I enjoyed. I loved them.

It was getting to the tears after we played the final music. It was A Whole New World(Reprise), which is used as a 'happy ending'. Somehow, it felt like we won't be seeing each other again for a while, even though we've been informed of a meeting on Monday.

I guess I got used to seeing each other, every single day. The rehearsals started to be every weekdays around October.

The actors were great, too. They sang very well. I especially love the imitation on Jaffar's voice.

The choirs were terrific. Although I couldn't hear them from where I sat, I heard their 'Aahs' and various other lyrics they are singing. Especially the final part in the ending. It was very... grand. It's like a happy ending in any other fantasies. The hero kills the evil, the world regained peace but the hero dies in the process. Kinda' like that. But that wasn't how the Alladin story goes. Just felt that way.

The orchestra is all about teamwork. And we all share the same interest; Music.

Today was great, I've said this a few times already, but oh well. I forgot to put on some make up, but Wren(name changed, for privacy purposes) fortunately brought some 'blusher' with her. She's like my make-up artist She does it well. She plays the violin, too.

On 10th November, it is the Performance and Awards night in my school. Students gets their awards(Best student, Science leader, etc) TEACHERS gets their rewards(Best teacher attendence), and then there's acting. A stage play would be boring if there's no music. So there's an orchestra! If I have not said so, I'm in the orchestra, playing the violin.

However, it requires orchestra members to wear BLACK.

Sigh.

So I went to shop for clothes. Black ones. I don't have black clothing.

Now I do.


Anyway, today it rained like heck. It was funny to see people who got caught in the windy rain. Hell, they were laughing too.

Now I am done ranting useless things.

It follows the adventure of two friends, along with an orc and a nymph(or catgirl, if you'd like to be blunt). Tis' a great comic. When I first came upon this comic, I read through the archives. THRICE. It's that good. Also, I suggest paying attention even to the tiniest detail. The author has alot of tricks up his sleeves...
Also, no Final Fantasy sprites involved.

Is it really TheaTRE or TheaTER? Sheesh. It contains Final Fantasy sprites! Before you run away and say, "OH NOSES ATTACK OF TEH FF LOL", try reading a couple of comics. I certainly laughed. Okay, I didn't laugh, I giggled.(I giggled and I'm PROUD OF IT!) It took me long enough to read through the whole archives.
On side note, Blackmage rules. I like Blackmage and there's nothing you can do about it!(If you even care. XD )

I went to the screenshot boards, and someone posted a VG Cats link. I was curious, so I clicked the link, and I was in VG Cats. I read through the archives. One day I went to the Links section. BAM! Hello, webcomics! I met 8-Bit Theater through VG Cats.

It's brilliant. I don't know how did the author turned into a genius. The downside is, the comic doesn't update often, though. For patient people only. So far, this sprite comic does not have an author appearance, and would probably stay that way.

So. I've been pretty much dead. For a month. Fascinating.

Well, my birthday had passed a few weeks ago, got a penguin doll from my friend, holiday strikes(BWAHAHAHA!), and I've been gaming.

And what does this means?!

NO MORE UPDATES! BWAHAHAHAAHA!

Alright, maybe I was being too simple.

See, I went through my gallery last night. And do you know what came to my mind?

"I did that?"

Realm of Mlaer shall be considered ENDED. I decided that the plot is going nowhere in liking.

That, or I'm preparing a surprise. Which will never come, considering my use of free time.

However, only the currently plot is ending. I intend to keep the title, use for another new plot I guess.

I am also trying to find a drawing style. I mean, look at my drawing. They look so... wrong.

I've been looking at drawings done by famous artists, and they looks great. My wish is I can draw like them ;_;

At the same time, I'm looking into colouring. Colour's important too.

Soo... expect sketches. And stuff.

Wow, the orchestra turned out to be better than I thought! I WAS nervous, though. However, the Hawaiian Barbeque night at school was a blast. The plays where nice--there's even a mom and her son singing... some song. One of the lines were, "I'll hold you baby". I KNOW that song, I just don't know the title... silly me.

The food looked great, but I only ate a few. I loved the muffin. Muffin. Muffin is a funny word. Muffin muffin muffin. Muffin muffin. Muuufffiin. Muffinillies. Muffles. Okay I'll stop now.

My time at school was great. Except when we were GOING home. Ugh. They HAD to go shopping. I wouldn't mind if they shopped for a few minutes. But nooooooo. It took HOURS! If I could I'd run around like mad, jump on the car and demand the door to be opened. If you couldn't guess, my mom drove me home, along with my sister. Good god, they shopped--no, wait, they LOOKED AROUND. They didn't buy much, but I could've sworn we stopped by alot of stores.

I've just got home, and taken a shower. Now I am in my room, typing this out. You don't know how much I hate this day. I would type out everything that's happening, but it would end up being a journal longer than the Nile River.

But let me explain the shopping part. You see, in Malaysia, there's this place we call "pasar malam", or roughly translated to "night market". They're everywhere in Malaysia--impossible to find a state without one. They're not black markets, by the way. When there's an empty road, where government probably overlooked or didn't plan to build a proper road, people who live close-by would gather together and start a small business along the streets. These stalls are usually opened around sun down.

What they sell are usually clothes, drinks(Its a loooong walk along the street of stalls--you'll need them), lingerie(yes, I'm not kidding), magic tricks items, toys, big soft toys, gadgets, accessories, and most probably perfumes. There used to be pirated CDs selling about, but it's lessened. Quite good.

To get a good image, here's how it looks like; a loooong road, commonly better suited for walking. Stalls are usually placed along the road--but they leave the centre wide open just for people to walk. It's usually a bright place, and sometimes full of sounds and music. Sellers yelling out "Buy" or anything similar to that, in Malay. Rarely do I find anyone speaking English in pasar malam.. -_-;

And that's 3 whole paragraphs explaining something in Malaysia. I think some countries has this "pasar malam" too.

And I'm off to bed! Its 12 am! But its kinda good enough since the barbeque finished at 10.30. -_- they are asking children to stay up late! Baaad teacher. Baaaad.

Going back to everyone, final exams are around the desks and toilets! It starts on the 25th of September and ends EXACTLY on my birthday. Sigh, what a way to celebrate a birthday. An exam. Yay. Glee.

But still, if I think about it, I'm still not completely freed. I have to go to school to rehearse for the orchestral play. The performance is on 16th of November.

And on the 16th, we'll be playing Arabian Nights(I believe this song is from a Disney movie?). The occassion? Hawaiian Barbeque! Only in Malaysian-style! (Yes, it sounds weird) Right in school! The only thing that can ruin this is that I have to look for black clothing(I don't have many black clothes. I have a majority of blue ones) and I only have ONE WEEK to be prepared.... damn bastards, telling us at the end of the minute. *grumble*

Back to school, there's a new British teacher who will be teaching us English 'till next year. He speaks French too. Has british accent(I wish he would say "bloody hell", but its very unlikely that he will). Yadda yadda. You know the drill.

ALSO! Another new teacher! This time it's a lady, I've not met her yet, but what I DO know that her name's Maya. She sounds nice, from what I've heard.

If you're lazy to read through the wikipedia entry, here's what happened; he was stung by a Stingray while filming undersea. He was only 44 when he died.

The barb of the stingray pierced a hole through his heart. Emergency services came and rushed him to Cairns Base Hospital. He was pronounced dead on arrival at noon.

*sigh* I used to watch his shows when I was young. But one day when studies got harder I barely got time for T.V. I also never knew he was married. O.o until today.

Well, I guess that's just the point of this entry. A news entry. I'm feeling sleepy, so don't mind my clippyness.

I SWEAR I'll do at least ONE comic after September.

And guess what. I forgot to draw up an Independance Day art o.o I'll do it this afternoon.

It's the 49th celebration of Independance Day celebration for Malaysia since August 31st 1957. Since then, Malaysia became an independant country.

Also, my school is gonna have a Hawaiian themed barbeque at night on the 16th of September o.o I'm thinking of joining the band playing for the night. But that would mean more things to practice O.o But still... >_>;

Ah, it's been a long time. (again)

Okay, maybe it wasn't THAT long.

Anyways.

A few days ago, my mom, my sister and me went to a 'girls-only' shopping at Subang Parade, which is a famous shopping mall here. ;D

Back to story, we bought things that we needed, and we decided to eat a little at Deli France, a small restaurant(or more like a cafe) that serves delicous sandwiches, drinks and other french stuff.

As we sat at a table, we chat and talk about stuff. By 'stuff' I meant things that no one else could possibly be interested in. (That's why it's fun to chat with your mom--you two MIGHT share the same interests)

As we talk, a man came by and placed down a card, and a key-chain, and went off to other tables and placed the same things on their table. I took the card, which is nearest to me, and read it.

There were two flags on it's right, a Malaysia flag and underneath it is the United Kingdom flag. The card has text on its left side, it said something like, "Hello! Please help me, I am deaf. I-" The rest I don't remember and my sister snatched it from my grasp. She was like, "Hmm. What's this?"

So we bought two keychains. I took a cute lizard key-chain and my sister took the... KEY key-chain. Heh.

That guy did a sign language that looks something like "Thanks". We just nodded. (This is all the more reason why we need to know a few sign languages...) He looked around the table, and took the card which my sister placed back on the table.

He walked off. We talked about what's its like to be in the world that's so silent. A world that you can't see. In a world that you couldn't speak.

But. We saw something else on the table.

A parking ticket.

(If you're wondering what a parking ticket is, I'll explain here. It's not the ticket that policemen give out, no. To get in the shopping mall, you have to get a parking ticket and the ticket WILL contain what time you arrive in there. After you're done shopping, insert the ticket in the ticket machine, and it will process the price. The longer you stay, the more you pay. But it's usually RM 1 per hour or so. Most of the shopping malls in Malaysia have this. I don't know about your country...)

I thought it was his, he might've accidentally placed it there along with the card and key-chain. My mum inspected it, and looked at it "arriving time". It was exactly the time we arrived. Then my mom said, "It might be ours...". I thought about this, but still. What if it was his? So I asked her how much do we have to pay if we lose the ticket. And she said? "RM 50."

However, my mom doesn't remember wether she took her ticket or left it in the car, so she checked her handbag.

None. No ticket in the handbag.

She checked her purse.

No ticket.

She looked again on the table.

There's the ticket. The ticket the man gave.

And then my mom reasoned that the man DID looked around the table, he COULD see the ticket clearly. So why didn't he take it?

Silence.

If it wasn't for him, we would need to pay the lost ticket fee. That man returned our lost ticket.

Still, we wanted to make sure. After eating we went to the car. We got in and searched around. No lost ticket. Just the one that was returned. This time, we were really sure the ticket was ours.

My mom said, "Amazing... Where did we lost the ticket??" Me and my sister shrugged.

So we went off, and to the ticket toll. We saw a sign, stating the prices. We looked for Lost Ticket Payment, and to our relief it was RM 20, at least much more less than RM 50.

We went home.

There is a moral to all this. I learned something too.

See, we should be thankful that we are not deaf, mute or blind. Help people, especially the elders and those who are handicapped. You may have heard this a lot of times, and PROBABLY didn't gave much notice. But I witnessed this with my own eyes, and I learned. As corny as this may sound, if you help people, they will help you.

But you can't just say, "I helped you, and now you help me." No. Help people for the good of Human-kind. Help people so that Earth will be happy, even if it's a small thing. A small help will be regarded as a big help.

I admit, I'm not a goody-goody. But I am saying what I have learnt.

I pray that the man is happy, and I hope you learned something as well. I thank you if you read from the top to bottom.

It's been a long time, folks! Alot has been happening since then, too.

First thing's first. Alladdin Chamber Orchestra(ACO).

I'm playing in the orchestra Well, my school's orchestra, to me specific. I'm playing 2nd Violin. We're going to play 'A Whole New World', 'Arabian Nights' and 'Prince Ali'. See, it's a two in one pack! I get to play and I have the notes these songs.

I'm probably boring you to death. I'll get to another topic now.

Let's see, final exams are around the rooftops now. Which means ONE and only ONE thing.

UTTER CHAOS.

No, really. When 29th of September comes by, the students would scramble like a maddened orc. I've only been in this school for 8 months, yet I can tell this is going to happen.

My class tests score has been well for now. So my parents haven't been pushing me into studies too much. Pray that I can keep it this way, please? Okay, maybe it also depends my abilities to study. Meh.

That is all, I shall tend to homework, and then practice for the ACO.

Anyway, I did a poem based on The Lake Isle of Innisfree for a school project. It's finished, but I already submitted it to my English teacher. It's about penguins.

I've nothing to do right now. Seriously. The teacher is not here, and we're allowed to use the computers but NOT TO PLAY GAMES. Darn.

Ah well, I guess writing a journal post is not PLAYING, eh? eh?? ...

Nevermind.

ANYway, the FIFA World Cup was won by Italy. Italy versus France and the score was 5-3. Don't ask who I support. I don't want to cause a riot here...

Wow, last week was very exciting. A few teachers from Australia came here, to Malaysia, to teach us! They are actually university students, and they're learning to teach students or something like that. I'm not very clear on the details.

Last week, Mr.Martin(spelling may be wrong) taught us Math. He's actually a Canadian, but studies in Australia. He only taught us for one week, so on the last day, he showed us Australian coins! It's very interesting.

This week, Miss Georgena(I only heard her name, never got anyone to spell it out for me) will be teaching my class Science. She actually majors in Psychology, and is studying child psychology... or something. She has an effective way of making us understand... Well, she does study Psychology.

There's actually five teachers. But so far I've only met and seen Miss Georgena and Mr. Martin.

Australian teachers teaches their students very effectively. They make it seem interesting.

The teachers will be staying in my school for three weeks. One week down, two more to go.

My school's cheerleading team won 7th place out of 42 schools. Well, better than nothing.

Oh, and if anyone noticed, I have a prose in my gallery called "Shifaa's Diary". It's an english project of mine, and my teacher liked it. Have a go and read it when you can. I know it's long. T_T

And today I finally found the time to look into some deviations, but I am very sorry to say I have limited time, so again I apologize.

I think Mr. Bad Luck have been following me.

First, I get a rather long holiday which means I get more time to draw, then my scanner died, and then my internet decided to go slow-mo.

And now my scanner still won't work.

You can imagine how long it took for this journal entry to load up from my Matrix-Bullet-Time-like Internet.

*sigh* Maybe I should've started the comic after final examination. Or, should I say, maybe EVERYTHING here will be resumed after the exams. Just to tell you, my final examinations ends around 29th September(Holy sheeeeeeeeeet, final day of exam on my very birthday? NOT good)

How are you? Good? Good! As for me, other than being scared to death by my own writing, I'm great!

Well, I didn't meant HANDwriting. I meant a story. It's for my English project, its something like 'Why you should be careful of what you say infront of a mirror'. It's a horror story, and I'm writing it... (That explains why I am writing Before the Realm, school made me get 'into' it)

Speaking of BTR(Before The Realm), it has something to do with RoM. Okay, ALOT, actually. If you can remember names well and read through the comic with a lil bit of attention, you will notice a... familiar name.

Darn, I CAN'T keep a secret, can I? Hehe.

I think this is from somesort of movie, but I didn't watch it, I guess. I'm supposed to write a myth featuring Mary about Watch What You say Infront of the Mirror.

Mid-terms are over. Oh joy, whee.

I know I should be happy, but I'm not. I actually liked the exams.

No no no, don't get me wrong! I liked it because... well, I hadn't to worry about homework, yes? Now that exam is over, I have homework. And it's tomorrow. To make things worse, I have to make notes for a whole chapter which is the longest chapter for my year. And it's tomorrow, for goodness sake! I believe this homework was actually given before the exam. @#$%^.

Today's exam was all well, I suppose. Okay, maybe not. My ear's still ringing. The class was all "WOOOO!! EXAMS OUT!! WHOOOOOOO!! DANCE BABEY!! DANCE!!". I bet their voices could challenge the voice of the titans, I'm sure. And for eye's sake they were dancing and barking mad like... like... mad...

That is, of course, occured when the teacher left the room.

At least my class is crazy, and not dull.

And they were poking. Yes, poking. Trust me on this.

And like every Tom, Dick and Harry under the sun(It's very cliche, so bite me), I'm gonna go and do my homework which will be done after 2am or more, I very sure of it.

*sigh* I used to be able to sleep early on the exams. Not anymore, now.

I know I promised page 5 anytime by now, but it ain't easy inking with a mouse and I can't find my inking pens. Nor can I find the accursed Wacom tablet pen.

Shawal went to argue with a cat today, a FEMALE cat infact. None got hurt, there were just grownling and snarling and stuff. Jeez, how can a male cat snarl, growl and what more FIGHT with a FEMALE cat? Enlighten me.

And I have other homework I wouldn't bother listing down.

And projects(I am thankful for group work for the first time this year).

And staying up late after midnight.

And learning stuff.

Just a quick note I have re-drawn page 5 of RoM, and all is left is inking, and if I feel like it I will colour it. Here's a hint; EXTREME DISASTER, caused by the narrator himself! Or was it the other way around? Er... nevermind.

Anyways, I only have a few exams left, and one of them is mathematical. I was never born to do numbers T_T Wish me luck. Its tomorrow. I'm supposed to be studying right now o_o;;

And then there's Life Skills. Not much of a problem, cuz my parents don't really care about that. Whew.

But then there's Science. Imagine, I have to memorize density of each elements! T_T I'm the Science subject leader, and here I am waiting to suffer in the exam. I'll try, anyway You'll never know if ya don't try!

Well, life has been very sneaky lately >_> What I mean is, when something goes perfectly good, something bad is going to happen. Oh well. I suppose it IS good that life feels good once in a while--you don't get that often, unless you can manage your time like a genius.

The way I manage time is probably wrong, but its the only way that makes me learn and complete things. I do my homework that need to be submitted the next day. If given one week, I would only start doing it the day before the due date. 140 math questions in a night, whoo! Now thats what I call "time for calculator madness"... Er, yeah, nevermind.

I'm on my bed right now, and its 1:05 A.M.. I'm using my iBook, yeah. Although I wish I had a laptop operating Windows, this iBook is good enough.

Er, and now some bad news. I lost page 5. Yes, I lost the paper itself. Disappeared one day right off my desk. I'm assuming Shawal clawed it. Or... I accidentally mixed it with old newspapers and used up papers and threw it into the trash can and it is now recycled into brand new papers or colour pencils. O_O Now thats a scary thought.

The other bad news. My internet has been so very evil lately(Yes, its wireless T_T). THAT explains why I could not reply to all messages. I apolagize

I've been reading Darren Shan: The Demonata for awhile. I bought two books and I finished them in two days. I need Book 3! T_T

The least I can do for now is read ANOTHER book >_> Raymond E. Feist; King Of Foxes.

I'm rather picky about books. I like books about mythical demons and magic. No, I'm not talking about Harry Potter, since there's not much demons and classic magic involved >_>

And since tomorrow is the day I officially turn into a zombie who does nothing but homework, new comic pages will take a while. Or, should I say, a LONG while?

*sigh* School is going to start soon. I have a bad feeling about this. It's gonna be normal, right? Like everyday--I come in late, classmates comment on how my hair looks diffrent everyday, I turn into a crazy lunatic during break and hang out with my friends.

But still, I have a feeling that, on Wednesday(which is when school starts. During this week we had an extra Monday-Tuesday holiday) is going to be diffrent.

Great. I feel the knot again. Why do I feel so afraid to go to school on Wednesday? It's going to be like always, will it?

I'm half through page 5 And I came back from Melacca for various reasons I couldn't possibly tell >_> Feeling all weirdy <_<

Oh wells.

Anyways, I noticed I got tagged by , and MAYBE, just MAYBE, anyone else who tagged me to write about 6 weird habits or things that I do.
Meep.

SIX WEIRD HABITS AND THINGS THAT I DO!
1) I lose my eraser quite often while drawing. They HIDE from me, I just know it... They are plotting against me >_>
2) I have a habit of wandering around(without warning) and leaving my computer open or while chatting on MSN Messenger.
3) I have this weird tendency to poke people at the arm without realising it.
4) I have once fought with a correction pen and I managed to slice it's "stomach" open with a pen knife. The correction pen's name was Liquid Paper. I have taken out it's "metal shakey thing" out of it's stomach and kept it as a memorial. Of my victorious battle. (The true story is that I was bored so I sliced the 'stomach' open)
5) I like to confuse people in some occasions.
6) Last but not least, I always think about burning houses. Always. It just pops up to my brain. Don't ask me. >_>

Page 3 almost there. I just have to add the text and a few minor edits(I hope). Life hasn't been good at all.

I missed my old school's sports day due to the fact that I can't wake up by myself(I need someone to wake me up) and thus I overslept.

But I AM glad that I stayed at home. Who knows what'll happen there? I was never noticed much back in the old school. No one would know who I was. I could say, "I am the penguin queen! Bow before me." Er.. nevermind.

Anywayz, school(my current school) is being ebil(so evil, that it's mispelled).

Ah, FINALLY. I've done half of the customization of my DD(DrunkDuck) page. I hope you've noticed I have the website button there. School has been a pain >_< I'm thankful I could spare a few minutes just to type this down. Curses, just when I like the way the plot is going, the 'no-computer-until-finals' comes by.

And I'll be working solo from now on. No one's the writer T_T Just me.

If anyone could be possibly wondering, I use InkScape to draw the comics. Yes, I now have the drawing tablet's pen. I use my lil' sister's one, actually. I colour with either PaintShop Pro(I wish it was PHOTOShop Pro) or The Gimp. And the occasional 'traditional' style which is rarely drawn now.

I will only update DevART with the main pages of the comic. If you want to see the extra pages(such as the hiatus page..), click the itty bitty button which says "RoM" up there. Yes, it doesn't look good right now. I'm learning HTML as I go. Though I pretty much suck >_<;;

I wish it's September. I wanna be free.
