i didn't accomplish much last month. although i finally was able to pay for a new black classic ipod 160 gb
in terms of art, maybe this month will be different?

regardless, my family is having a lovely dear from japan for two weeks. i'm enjoying his visit immensely-- even as today is only the second. he's brought some light to this summer's haze.


I was listening to some older NIN songs; i'm going to be seeing the mammoth again in concert on the 7th in CT (!!!)
undeniably the highlight- the sun spot- of this summer. but yeah, the older songs- i was listening to Down In It and retrospectively... it's how i feel about life right now. i don't feel the same way about things anymore. it's like my perspective changes and twists while i'm working. i don't really get to see my friends or get out a lot. it makes me feel dull. i hope when school starts, i can feel alive again.

sometimes i don't believe them myself and i decided i was never coming down.

just then a tiny little dot caught my eye.
it was just about too small to see.

saw the last concert that zee sisters will be home for before they leave for college - it was a concert i never expected to see:

V A S T

wonderful show, they even played "pretty when you cry"! it was in the city at a place called CBGY’s - a really small venue (we got to sit in little tables for part of the openers!) apparently it’s a pretty well known club that’s hosted many famed acts like the ramones back in the day... but now its being moving out onto L.A. - so we got to see one of the last shows that location will play

fantasmic setlist, perfect balance between dancing/ rockin out/ and swayin - i caught a couple videos, but the scene was so dark, jon crosby was basically just a silhouette

i was able to grab one of the picks he used after the show, ~Nunar got a split drumstick, and ~sheikah got to actually meet and shake hands with jon crosby himself!!! i had seen him just after the show had ended as he was walking by, but i was waaaay too blown away to talk to him. we all got merchandise afterwards and it was intensely cheap; the t’s were 7, the longsleeve 10, and the sweatshirt 20

little less than 24 hours ago, i saw the behemoth.
in concert.
with la mer swimming in the clouds behind.
and the sweet smell of seaweed in the air.

perfection.

the theatre was on the ocean so it was absolutely fantasmic
when he stood by his little keyboard and played la mer.

can't wait to see him play again avec mes soeurs
