So, I'm on the front page of dA and what do I see? The same people that have been up there for the past three weeks. It's not that I'm not happy for them. Their art truly is superb and I admire them a lot. But at the same time it's depressing because I know that I'll never be up there. I don't know anyone on this site personally except for three people...and these people don't even comment, fave, or even drop a hello to me.

When I submit art, the most comments that I'll get on it are maybe 1 or two, from the same people. Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely grateful for any comment that I receive from anyone. But it's like I don't even exist here. Whenever I see something that I like, I always comment and fave, and even when I see something that seems a little off, I try and leave a little hint at how to improve. I'm not the best artist around, but sometimes you see things that jump out at you.

I understand that a lot of people don't have time to comment or fave or whatever, but at least make that known to everyone so they won't think that they're being ignored. I can't tell you how many times I've posted a comment for someone and I never get a response. And that pisses me off. If I'm nice enuff to compliment you, be nice enuff to respond, even if it's simply 'thanks'.

And to anyone who gets upset at this, I'm sorry. But admit it. Most likely 90% of the people on dA are comment whores. Nothing wrong with that cuz I sure am. I want nothing more than to have someone say, 'hey cool. ur art is pretty' or 'hey that's nice'. I'm sure everyone does, so it's not just me. And I don't think that there's anything wrong with wanting attention for your accomplishments. And I know the whole gig about 'But you should do your art for you' is the first thing to pop into a lot of people's minds, but really....

Also, is it just me, or is Naruto really popular? I LOOOOVVVVVVEEEEE Naruto! It's one of my favorite shows, next to Avatar: The Last Airbender (seriously, when are we gonna get more episodes?! I miss that show!) But it seems that if you haven't submitted anything that has to do with fanart of any kind, no one cares about you. For example, in my early gallery, there are reallllly crappy color jobs of characters from the tv show Winx. And then in my later gallery there are more original characters and such. Seemingly, no matter how crappy the Winx pics were, they received a whole shitload more of attention than anything else in my entire gallery.

This is the kind of shit that makes me want to leave this site for good. It seems to have become a fansite above anything else. It made me giggle when they added an actual fanart category too.

So, I'll have come to the decision by the end of this week if I decide to leave dA. There's no point in staying if no one notices. This journal will probably get unnoticed too. But, oh well. Doesn't really matter anymore.

But...I'm not going to post it like Caelestis, because chances are, no one will read it But...I guess it just works out that way. I guess it's for the best though. I don't usually share my literature with many people (except for my fanfiction). Not a lot of people on this site read literature. Their just in it for the visual art, I guess. No one comments on even my visual art except for a select few (whom I do LOVE very much! )

I understand the whole 'I don't have time' thing, but if that's the case, then the artist should disable the comments option. It kinda hurts my feelings when someone does that. It's bad enough that my art is hardly commented on to begin with (unless it's with someone special ), but to waste my time commenting on some bigshot artist's page and not getting a reply...that's deviously annoying. And the excuse 'well I don't have time. I'll get back to you later' is getting really old, very quickly.

So, from now on, whenever I visit someone's page, I'll check their comment history (the whole panel in the top right of the page). If the amount of reviews recieved is higher than the amount given, I won't bother to comment. If I like it, then I'll fave it, but other than that, forget it.

I know this seems shrewed, but if you don't like it...whatev's.

Just wanna rant for a few minutes. I wrote a story called Caelestis that I posted on D.Art and no one has commented or anything. I'm so proud, I even did some art on it. I was asked to post it so I did. No one reads it. And it pissed the hell out of me. I can't draw so the closest thing I can do to art is write. No one reads it though. It kinda hurts. I know I'm not one of the "star artists" on this site (y'all all know what I'm talkin bout when i say "star artists") but it would be kinda nice to get some recognition. From someone. Anyone. I hate the kinda shit people pull on this site. If you go out of yo way to review their work, they don't respond. I hate that. I ALWAYS respond to those nice enough to notice my triflin' ass.

Also, my friend is actin like a bitch...and he's a guy. He's all hung up ova some chick. He don't even talk to me no more. But me being the good friend, tries to help him when he need it. I luv dis boy like he family. But he so wrapped up in his own shit, dat he take me for granted.

Also, I'm a big, black gurl tryna cope in a skinny world. I got a nasty comment from some guy while i was walkin down the street. It really hurt my muthaf***in' feelings. He lucky i ain't 1 of dem crazy bitches that'll shoot somebody for lookin at 'em da wrong way. I ain't got no boyfriend, and it's frustrating to see couples. I LOVE love, tho. I'm a big romantic. (I've even started calling him 'Candi' ) After those two, I'll do Ignis and Aquaticus, the twins. And then, last but not least, Itio and Phonascus, the two youngest siblings.

If I seem a little...estatic about all this, it's because I'm really, really, really excited. I've been searching forever for someone to do this for me (draw meh charas) and no one would. Except for Pinaki. If she backs out, I'll understand, tho. I'm also currently looking for someone to draw my charater's pets/friends. Aer has a griffin (named Alaris), Terra has a centaur (named Veredus), Ignis has a phoenix (named Vitreus) , and Aquaticus has a merman (named Cetarius).

I haven't come up with animals/friends for Candidus, Erato, Itio, or Phonascus yet. I was thinking that for Candi, he'd get an owl or some kind of bird, Erato would get a leopard or some kind of big cat, Itio would get some kind of traveling animal, and Phonascus would get something that likes to sing. But i'm open to suggestions

This is a reference to the site where I got the hair styles (althered them a bit) And wouldn't you know, the style for Terra that I had thought up was already taken: by a faerie called Illusen from something or another called Neotic Pets or Neopets (I can't remember.) I've never before seen or been to this site before, so I didn't know. However, the hair style is portrayed better on Illusen and is similar to what I had in mind for Terra and can be used as a model. (I don not own Illusen or Neopets)

A few weeks back, my so called 'friends' got some undesirable grades. I, trying to play the part of optimistic friend, comforted them, as best as I knew how. I felt like it was my fault for some reason (dunno why). But today when I was upset over my report card, I tried to talk to them. But they wouldn't even look at me. I'm black, and so are they. So this is the conversation:

It's really frustrating to see others who can draw, while I'm stuck coloring other people's work. (I do love coloring other people's stuff, though, so don't get me wrong).

However, I wish I could draw so that I can produce a visual of my characters, because I really love what I'm going to do with the story. As I said before, I have no money for commisions, so asking someone for one is out of the question. I just wish that someone would draw them for me. I'd even color them myself I know I must seem really stupid, but I would really like to find a really good artist to draw my characters for free. I know this is most likely not possible, but it would be really, really nice, and I would love that person forever. These are no ordinary siblings because together, they form the core elements of the human nature (well, most of them anyway). Their father, Cognatus, and their Mother, Algaia, happen to rule over all of Caelestis, an enormous kingdom set high over the Earth (sort of like a type of Heaven). This makes the siblings royalty. Each owns their own portion of the kingdom and rules according to the element that they correspond to.
