Working on a few things, castle still isn't done. When I don't have deadlines, I tend to take forever on projects.

Doing Frazetta reproductions this summer to practice my acrylic painting skills. (Not having to worry about subject matter leaves me free to improve technique and speed.) Going up for studio block next semester, so I'll need all the practice I can get.

Well, I replaced a bunch of pics with better ones. I did a new experiment with my camera which yielded nice results. Also uploaded a few pieces that I finished at the end of the semester.

Working on Conan, I need to get that bugger done. Also, I'm gonna start painting my drawing Neuschwanstein Castle. I just need to tweak some of the things on the castle. Originally when I drew it, a year ago, I had only a tiny pic as reference and now that I found a few that are much bigger, many details are wrong. (Mostly cause I started making them up.) Hopefully, I'll get some done this break. *knock on wood*

Only 1 or two deviations will be added to my 'gallery'. I haven't been able to work on my own projects. They will probably stay on hiatus until winter break. On the plus side, I found my old folder of stock for my greek gods. Apparently my jump drive had nestled its way in-between my dresser and my desk; I only stumbled upon it a few days ago. Unfortunately they will go on hiatus too, despite this fortunate development. Why?

Too much school work. I have never done so many all-nighters in one semester.

Many have faved my EdxWinry pic, so... I feel like redoing it. Properly.
I thought that there were so many mistakes in that piece, so I feel compelled to correct things. I might change the chair too, mostly cause trying to color that thing would prove to be a pain in the arse. Not too sure if I'll use photoshop or traditional means yet.

On a side note I've taken up another project. My father showed me some pics of King Ludwig's castles and the Neuschwanstein Castle caught my eye. It's only in the pencil phase at the moment, with only one mountain drawn in. I try to get all my details in before I try to color, especially with acrylic inks since they go over pencil very well so I don't have to worry about lines showing through. Maybe I'll post wip pics...

One of my favorite parts was when you see Miroku and Sango with their kids. They deserve happiness after all the angst and it's no surprise that Miroku is procreating like there is no tomorrow. lol
Another favorite has to be Kagome's line near the end. I have to say, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha's reactions were priceless. I reread that part so many times, lol.

Also Naruto... it is finally getting good again. Poor Itachi, he's now become one of my favorite characters. Although compared to Kakashi... *sighs* I swear he is the sexiest man in the show. Anywho... *coughs* I always get sidetracked when I bring him up. lol

I wonder if Naruto will find out that his father was the 4th Hokage. The next chapter is called "the key", which I can only presume refers to the other part of the kyuubi that Minato sealed away. If that is the case and if the frog sage was suppose to talk to Naruto, maybe he will finally know. I would love to see his reaction to that little piece of info. I wonder if Kakashi knows, after all Minato was his teacher.

Tsunade's tears at the end... I nearly started tearing up myself in that chapter. I find myself completely disregarding Sasuke nowadays. Deserted his friends for revenge, which turned out to be complete and utter bs. The little arse now runs off to destroy Konoha, when his brother sacrificed his freedom and very life for the village and Sasuke. I really don't care if he ends up dying in the battle that will eventually transpire between him and Naruto. Good riddance I say.
]Ungrateful little thing, but then again I suppose Tobi is to blame as well, or should I say Mandara Uchiha. How the hell is that bastard still alive??? I think Itachi remarked that he is immortal... or my memory is failing me. The latter could be true since those middle 100+ chapters or so kinda are a blur to me, similarly to Inuyasha.
Once a manga gets passed 300 chapters, my attention starts to waver in and out.

Artwise... lol. I have things in the sketching phases still. Also, some gods are rotting in on my desktop. Hopefully one may be done by the end of the month. *knock on wood* We shall see...

"The 28th issue (released on June 11) of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine has confirmed that the next issue (on sale on June 18) will feature the final chapter of Rumiko Takahashi's Inuyasha time-travelling fantasy manga. Takahashi has been working on Inuyasha over the course of 11 years and seven months, more than 54 volumes, and 558 magazine installments."

She is going to be done. It's unbelievable! I have no idea how she will end it. At the moment it could go anywhere.

On a side note, uploaded a Sailor Moon pic. May work on it a bit more, but only touch-ups.

Still on the lookout for male stock for the rest of the greek god series. I haven't given up on it.

Working on a sailormoon piece. I always found the style difficult and could never get it right, but the one I'm working on is acceptable so far. Vectoring always leaves my hands cramping. Digital work usually wears me out faster than traditional.

Hopefully I'll have something finished soon.

Art has been on the back-burner this week since I wanted to catch-up on some of my reading. Actually finished the 7th Harry Potter book, which I borrowed from a friend god-only-knows when.. >.>

I liked it, but I was a little disappointed with the ending and I still kinda don't like Harry. Maybe it'll change once I mull over it some more.

Although I must point out that, personally, Rowling still pales in comparison to Tolkien. I just love Lord of the Rings too much. I may reread the books again this summer for the 5 time or so.

Well, back to the title of this journal entry. I just read chapter 552 of Inuyasha and well as I said before, I'm in shock.

Soo....

I think hell just froze over...

Cause Naraku is dead. I simply... I'm in a state of shock. I never thought Rumiko Takahashi would go through with it. When the last chapter left off with Kagome pointing an arrow at a shikon-infused-Naraku, I thought... 'Oh great, just watch the jewel gets split again.'

After all, that's what happened last time. And is it just me, or does anyone else find it odd that Kagome managed to spear the shikon with her arrow this time. How the hell DIDN'T it break??? Not that I'm complaining necessarily; I do NOT want 500 more chapters to sift through, but it nags at my mind.

Well Naraku's dead... that even sounds odd. I wonder what the meidou that has appeared behind Kagome will do to her. What was Naraku's final wish? If all he ever wanted was Kikyo's heart (which truthfully i find quite sappy), then perhaps... he wants to kill Kagome? I mean she is Kikyo's reincarnation, so letting Inuyasha have Kagome is kinda like him having Kikyo.... at least maybe Naraku thinks so.

But then again Naraku said that his wish was the same as the Shikon's, so...

ARGH! -_-

This is going to bother me for a while... Damn you Rumiko. You kill off the villain, which many would assume would end this never-ending-horribly-addictive manga, but nooo... we need to have more drama.

If she's trying to reach 600 chapters so help me... *sigh*

Good new... I got an A in my Critique and my prof said there is no way I won't get an A in the class!

Bad New... I have barely slept in the last 4 days...

I have way too many things due tomorrow. I kinda half-assed my last art project, well... not intentionally. Did the best I could coloring it with only 2 days. Also since it's the second time in my life I drew a dog... I think I did ok...ish....
Perhaps I'll work on it some more after classes are over. I'll upload a pic of it later tonight or tomorrow.

I just hope the next episode of Vampire Knight is subbed by tomorrow night, would be a nice treat after such a long weekend.

The idea of continuing the greek gods series is sticking in my mind more and more. It would be nice, since I wouldn't have the time restrictions of my Computer Imaging course.

On that note, does anyone know any good stock sites besides DA? You know, just incase I can't find the right model here. This was the main reason my stock research went on for a couple of hours.

Well I better get back to my paper and transcribing. Double majors can be such a pain...

So... recap first I suppose...

Put up 3 pieces from my greek gods series. Next I will be doing the men. Muscular man stock is hard to find... either the resolution is too high or the perfect pic is on a site where I have to pay for the image. Pay for an image I'm not even gonna profit off of? No...

Also put up a piece from illustration. I still have two more projects for that class, so expect a couple more updates this month. My most active year, lol.

This summer I'll try and do more stuff; I wanna practice my watercolor. However I may be taking a course at school, so I can get one of my creative writing courses out of the way.

We'll see...

I really want to try out this tutorial of vectoring that pointed out to me. So maybe I will have something posted soon that isn't from one of my art classes, but yeah... we'll see...

I'll post my art from this semester as I get it back. Illustration is actually testing my skills, which is both refreshing and stressful. Being a junior in college means little sleep; especially when you have a double major and you're trying to finish your english degree as fast as you can. Afterwards I'll worry more about my art degree, stupid 80 hour degree plan (beyond core). Comparing that to my 36 hour english degree plan is just.... ugh...

I know I tend to be inactive, but life calls. Maybe I'll post a few of sketches into scraps. Now back to my drawing for illustration.

Added some stuff from this passing semester as deviations and in my scraps. Didn't have much time do anything else. Thinkin' about working on a few things over my winter break. It's nice that we get a month off in college. Helps keep my sanity intact. Takin' a photoshop course next year which should prove to be interesting as well as useful.

I have a few pics in mind, a Kakashi & Sakura pic and maybe another attempt at a Winry & Ed, but yeah only time will tell.

Now back to my essays for my finals this upcoming week. -_-

1. I never get tired before 1am, unless I've had an all-nighter the previous day.

5. I'm slightly OCD... I tend do things in patterns without realizing it. For example if I cross my legs one way, I have to do it the other way so it's fair...then the amount of times get involved... yeah I know insane...

6. I have a tendency to pace... A LOT... whenever I talk I can't stand still or I feel really restless...

7. I sometimes act out a scene in my writing to see if it makes sense... no props... not that crazy lol

8. I absolutely love horror movies. The more gore and suspense, the better!

Kinda sad that I missed the date for the Miroku and Kagome lineart contest. But that just means that I now have more time to work on it, and maybe I'll color it in.

Got my comp. back. Twas away for a day getting a new hard drive. Now with my new and improved computer I will start working on a new amv. First I have to convert all those .ogm files to .avi, and download a new converter program... -_-

Trying to work with my wacom tablet some more, although straight lines seem to be alluding me for the moment. Tis the reason for the inactive gallery you see before you. I'm trying!

Since this year I decided to take Ceramics for my fundamentals credit, I have more time for my drawings and paintings. After all how can I take a clay pot home to work on? Hopefully my life won't get too sucked up into the drama that is known as college.
