Heh. I'm very much a Bah-humbug this Christmas. At least on the Christmas Carols. That's all we listen to at work and I'm working everyday. Everyday. Full shifts. Not just 1/2 shifts. I might as well be full-time. Seriously. Ridonculous. I'm not here to complain about work though, but if you're wondering, that's where I've been for the past few weeks.... months.... whatever.

So what have I been doing? Weeeeeell.... I have commissions to fulfill and Christmas presents to make. Pookaknight wants all the charaters from his Changeling game in chibi. Unfortunately, he's not very good at describing these things. I'm almost done with the sketches. I only have 2 more to go out of 10. Then I'll scan, ink and color. Hopefully before Christmas gets here. Good thing it's just chibi. I do have a bunch of other Chibi's as well to post and ink. I drew Tutu, Mononoke, Azalyn and some others I should post on here. Sorry I haven't been able to lately. Stupid printer will hopefully be fixed soon so I can finish these commissions. >.>

I hope everyone else is having an awesome holiday though! I'm certainly finished Christmas shopping and just need to make stuffs. I'm basically shopping for myself now a days. lol Got a Vera Bradley wallet today. It makes me happy cause I can totally stick my iPod in it and it's perfect fit! Awesomeness? Heck yes! But I just thought I'd update and let everyone know that I am not dead and that there will be a TON of posts soon. <.< I swear! It doesn't help that I've been trying to ignore the fact that I am sick. I totally wanted to post something for the 10,000 views! I never thought in my life that I would even get up to that many views!

Thank you friends for all your awesomeness and wanting to actually look at my crappy art. I'm flattered that you enjoy such work. lol I'm totally too hard on myself sometimes. I should post some of my extremely old art that I found though and let everyone see the really bad work that I started out on. That might make people feel better no? It always makes me feel better when I can see the old art that someone started out with to see that they have practiced and progressed from the previous years before. It's awesome. I'll think about it. I dunno if I want to unleash that embarrassment yet.

I'm going to be setting up a booth at Middle Tennessee Anime Convention (MTAC) and selling my art. Well, I'm starting to get that together. I have started making bookmarks to which, are going to be awesome...... >.> I hope that ~euclidstriangle will join me along with my friend Angela who knows more about getting art prints than I do... Either way, I am really excited about this and hope that I can get opinions and critiques as I work on things being that this will be the first time my art will be publicly displayed with my actual face next to it. :nervous: See, with you, I can hide behind a screen and if I don't like the comments, delete them. -.- I have no control over what comes out of someones mouth at a convention though. Scary thought. However, I'm going to be going to Dragoncon this year and my ... friend ... told me that I should enter into the art contest. =\ I don't like doing so because I am rather (though I may not show it) protective over my art. I'm slowly trying to open to actual constructive criticism, but for the longest time no one ever really knew I even drew. I hid it because people were always "Why do they have big eyes" or when drawing chibi "where are their hands" or "people don't have wings" and then there was the "you need to grow up" comment in my life that hit hard. So, I hid it, only showing it to a few close friends. Now I have this and a website a built, but I still don't think I'm amazing enough to win a prize at the biggest convention in the world. =\ Make me red in the face just to think about it. I know artists are their worst critics, but this is Dragoncon we are talking about... Not Anime Weekend in Atlanta or Middle Tennessee Anime Convention. Dragoncon. This is the biggest convention I've ever been to. I never win anything anyways. I know it's not about winning anyways, but about the experience, but this is scary to me. If I could work copics good enough I would. I don't even know the regulations yet, I'm just going off of what my ... friend ... told me. I have the worst self confidence. >.< I guess I just need to check out the contest rules first. *shrugs* I'm just rather frustrated at this friend right now and want to go over it and talk things over with my friend, but then again I don't. I hate drama. I wish my friend would just... No ranting... *deep breath* There's nothing you can do Mandi, just forget it... I wish my life was back to the non drama life it was for three years...

SO! On a brighter note... If you have any ideas for me, that'd be great. I'm looking at this long list of 100 art prompts... nothing. So don't give me that, cause I already have it and I see nothing. This is bad. Really bad. I've never gone this long without drawing. =\ Makes me want to cry. It's probably cause I'm so stressed. There's too much going on right now. My head hurts.

I finished the dinner plate and it is in the Kiln as we speak! It's gonna look awesome I hope. I'm a little anxious. I loaded it this morning and when I get it back it should be all shiny! Her headpiece is going to be ridiculously hard. Worse than Zelda's sash because it's one color. So that means, shading....I think I'll just draw it out and not shade it too badly. We got this gigantic dragon that's about 14 inches tall... I went nuts. My friend started talking to one though... "Mr. Dragon, one day you'll be mine and we will make mad love with paintbrushes" All I did was scream "OMG YES!!!!" in front of the newbie at work when we got our shipment in. They call me crazy....Psh. Also, anyone heard of the anime series Bottle Fairy? I rented it, but I accidentally got the second volume and not the first, so I have no idea what's going on. Soooo, I'm gone for a week and it seems that my To Do list is never ending... >.< I'm trying to catch up. I at least got onto Deviantart today and read my 25 messages/deviations. I'm glad that I didn't subscribe to the *color-me-club while I was in Moab, I would've had about triple the amount of deviations. o.0

With that said, I apologize for not updating any more pictures or anything lately. I just barely uploaded all the Moab pictures (except for 5 vids that won't upload -.-) and I'm in the process of getting it all onto the website! I swear!

Also, my friend is graduating from the Singles in the church and dropping off the face of the earth to be married.... She wants me to make her invitations and so I'm doing her that favor and working on them. We at least have an outline, but she doesn't even have a time yet.... so we'll see. It's not until June 20th. If I can finish the invites before the end of May, that'd be grand....

In other artsy news, I've decided since I have art block I'm going to try for that 100 art prompt thing. Except I'm going to do strictly faeries instead of anime/manga. We'll see how that goes.... I've at least doodled some stuff while I was in Utah. I need more markers....

I also have a recital coming up at the end of May and I haven't practiced.... sooooo, I've been trying hard to make time for some piano. >.< It's a mad house. I've been working on one thing a day on my list though! Hopefully somewhere in between everything I can apply for school and get going with that. I WANT MY DEGREE!!! Curse you school!

So I am so happy that the weather was nice today and we had a chance to go Jeeping these past two days. I will definitely post the pictures in my Gallery on my website when I get home. I love this place and it has been awesome the past week. I have missed Jeeping so much it's been a blast. For more of an update check out Hedgehog Secrets. I am going to update on there some more pictures. I did upload one here because it seriously looks like a promo for Jeep Sport. It rocks. You know it does. For all you who think mudding is awesome, that is NOTHING compared to Jeeping. I plan up uploading some movies too on YouTube. I did my first complete trail! Three posts in one week! Crazy! What's going on?!?!
Don't panic, all is well... I promise. There are three posts for a reason. Tomorrow morning I have errands to run before working that night. Sunday I have church and then am packing. Yes, packing. I'm going to be gone all next week! Sorry! I'm going to Utah to go jeeping in Moab! Wootness! I'm totally psyched, but then sad as well. However, this vacation is most def. needed. You have NO idea. I'm so stressed and this will be a great get away... hopefully...

So that's why there are three updates! To compensate for the time I will be gone. Now I will have a compy every so often, but I don't plan on getting on it much during the week. I want to be away from technology and all forms of communication as much as I can. I just need to be with nature and go hiking and jeeping and biking and maybe a date. *shrugs* I'm not too excited about that. I got tricked... At least it won't be too awkward and it'll be a double date maybe...hopefully...ugh, I wish I could just be away from relationship things for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG while. It's like I'm freaking fly paper!

Anyways, I am not going to vent that on here. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Easter and that the bunny provides lots of chocolate. As for me, I now need to finish up these belated Christmas presents before I arrive at the house they are intended for... >.<

Okay, so the last one isn't an art goal, but I've been feeling "the bug" coming on and I'm doing all in my power to NOT get it. I don't want to be sick. I can't afford to right now. -.- I'm eating all the oranges and drinking all the water I can. In results, I am peeing like a racehorse and have the aroma of citrus constantly on me. *shrugs* What do you do.

So I have some art already done, with CG it might take me longer than a few days to finish it, hence the 2-3 posts a week. BUT Copics were on sale for 30% at Hobby Lobby the other day and I bought 10... I'm waiting until my 40% coupon comes out in the mail to get more. I'm obsessed. Thanks Euclid for passing on the addiction. -.-

Until then, I'll work on some more CG as well. I'm saving up money for a camera too so I can take more pictures again. Once I get that, my next goal is to get a lot of copics.... camera first.... I dearly miss my camera which has broken in result of falling off the dresser in my room. T_T sad day. It has served me well and I will always remember the joys we had together.

I'm going to double check it tomorrow after I get off work and take a nap (I'll need one because I'll be grumpy from lack of sleep and huge 20 8 year old birthday parties from work). Then, when I get up, I'll see what I did in the wee hours of the morning and do some adjusting maybe...

Sorry peoples, you'll just have to wait, but I just wanted to post and tell you I finished and so you can expect that tomorrow!! (maybe...) I'm excited because this piece is dedicated to my sistah Alasse or ~eleanorkeyheart! ^_^ Yup, you chika! Why? You'll see. Anywhoz, for being the first time doing Vexel/Vector (don't know the different because I haven't studied CG yet) without a line art to start out with, I'm rather pleased with the outcome, but I'm not too creative when it comes to men, male clothing and backgrounds, to which this has all. So remember when I post it that it'll be a beginners piece, kinda... I had my boyfriend pose for me so I could get the proportions at least somewhat right, but an artist is the worst critic of their own art.

I may add more detail to the background tomorrow being it's so plain. Then you may not get to see it until Sunday... Hmmm detail or no? To post it or not to post it? I think I'll keep everyone in suspense....

EDIT: So I didn't get a chance to work on it yesterday, so hopefully I will work on it tonight for y'all and get it up. Sorry for the delay. I will post two pieces today (if the scanner is happy about it), if not one.

(Which is why I ended up drawing it again for a third time) I'm not too good on colors other than "Warm" and "Cold". I think it still looks good. I'm rather proud of my art thank you...

Now usually I'm anti-Christmas-before-Thanksgiving.... but I have a lot of people on my list that I need to make things for and are taking a while, SO this explains the lack of art for a few weeks. That and I work everyday of the week except Sunday starting next week. >.< We're firing a girl (thank goodness) and hiring new ones. So, training is taking place and rescheduling hours and not to mention people are coming in constantly to make early Christmas gifts. I have unfortunately been scooped up into the Pre-Christmas marketing and have gotten 1/2 way through my list. There are a few people on DA whom I will be making art for as well. For now though I won't post that list until I know what I'm going to make everyone. Mostly it's for close friends and avid kiriban.

Other art - I plan on doing some fan art coming up for right now, my other watercolor piece is in the process. I'm waiting for my 40% off coupon so I can get some more art supplies. I'm trying to decide on colors too. I want to make it a little autumn colors, but I have trouble with combining colors. Sometimes I just can't see it. I'll see if I can fit some coloring up here too. I'm looking at my "To do in Photoshop" list and I have a lot I could be doing too. So maybe I'll work on that to tame you while you wait for Christmas stuffs.

ok ok ok so I posted my Halloweeny piece early, but get over it. lol I'm now going to work on a piece that I was to "experiment" with taking on the help of and her tutorials. Anywhoz, I am working on Halloween, but I might still be going to a dance. I'm excited. I'm gonna be "Smalls" from The Sandlot! How fun. I couldn't stop working on it. I had to get it done. I had everything sketched out and it looked amazing.... until I colored it.... The only thing that is awesome about the picture on the paper, is the shawl that is around her and her hair. I ruined the picture with the background using my copics and when I scanned it in, it got even worse. SO, the deadline was soon, I knew if I didn't do it this week that I would never get it done, so I started working on it, at M&Ms for dinner and couldn't stop working on it. Now I'm dead tired and really need to pee. >.<

So, there's my newest submission for *playdough-princess competition. I'm really excited as to how this one turned out with vexel. I was a little worried, but it looks great. I even took off the outlines for the skin and wings and it looked even cooler, however I will post that one later because I'm lazy. >.< For now, the main one is the link up there.

Mature content is because she's scantly clad in a shawl around her shoulders and waist. There's nothing reveling however. Knowing me though, anything like that, is mature content....

So now that that is done, my next awesome project to undergo is a dancing gypsy in my room who just won't stop singing until I correct the mistakes and redo the artwork. Well! Since this week is pay week and I can get the supplies needed, I have an awesome watercolor adventure to take on with this Gypsy Fae. I'm thoroughly excited about it being that has posted the most amazing tutorial that is just so awesome beyond any genius comprehension! It's that beautiful. It made me cry I was so happy. THANK YOU!!! She's the best! Y'all should really check out her work. It makes me happy. She's my new favorite artist. Amy Brown's too poplar for me to contact... but I do hope to meet her someday. I guess I should've posted that before I uploaded a bunch of stuff... Oh well, Enjoy!!

I had a blast in Oregon! Most of the pictures are in my Gallery on my Website ([link]), but I posted a few teasers here on Deviantart for ya! In Oregon, a lot of things happened. We went to the Fair, we went to Uwagimaya's (however you spell it), my Cousin's wedding and the beach. It was pretty awesome, but you can find out about that in Hedgehog Secrets ([link]). I'll be updating it sometime this weekend, so keep posted on that.

The Princess Mononoke Shoes...It took me about a week to do them, but I figure with practice I can make a week not look like a couple of days like the shoes do... Thank you wonderful *bri-chan for the idea! I love my shoes!! I'd like to sell them, but warning, if you do want some you'll have to buy the shoes yourself and then pay me about 70 bucks or so for the work done (this includes shipping them to me). I'm not even sure if I can do this, so I don't think I'll take commissions on the shoes yet, but I'll have to look into this. As long as it is an Original Character that you want me to do, I will do it, but if it's Disney, Anime, something... I'm not sure about that. Isn't that against copyright? Like I said, I'll have to look into it. So if you know anything about it, let me know? Thanks!

Other Art...I've updated a newer version of my Mononke picture which I finally scanned in and I have a lot of other art that I have been working on that I will get up soon. PROMISE! I'm slowly catching up on things and getting things done. Since I've been back I've been working non-stop, but this week I have a slow week (which is irritating, but what do you do) so I'll work on art! Ok? ^_^ I have a small sketch of a Valkyrie, a Centaur, a mermaid and some other nifty things! So be sure to keep posted!!

I'm going to be in Oregon for a week. I need to make myself a skirt before we go (my cousin is getting married and I have nothing to wear). SO, when I get back I'll start working on the costume because I'm going to go to AWA! Hopefully. As long as I can stay caught up in my Math and keep my grade up, I'll allow myself to go. I'm really excited and would love to go. So, it will be my birthday present to myself since I'll be in Oregon for my birthday. My birthday's never fun except maybe twice... So just before it decides to completely shut off and shut down, I got scanned in the computer two of my works. A lineart of the Mechanical Android Nuisance Detector and Infiltrator 08 (aka Mandi 08) and 's commission. Princess Mononoke is still not up because I have not finished it. I think I ruined it, but we'll see I guess. I need another green marker. I'll get one this week with the 40% off coupon for Micheal's craft store. :joy: I love coupons.

So, not much art going on here, I'm probably (since the scanner is down) do a lot of digital work right now. Get that lineart up and color other linearts that I've been meaning to do. I've also been working on things for my "store" I plan on having. ^_^ So I'll get that started after I'm finished uploading the old comics. Yay!

ANYWAYS-NEWS UPDATE!!

I've been working on Digital Coloring of my old work "The Kiss" [link] and try to attempt the wings. Maybe I can find a tutorial or something, because shading and coloring angel wings is a challenge for me. If you have any tips, let me know! *cough ~euclidstriangle cough ~LordDeathmark* lol Really, anyone, let me know any tips that would be helpful.

Other than that artwork, I'm working on some more cosplay outfits. I'm going to fix up my Belldandy outfit [link] for ~eleanorkeyheart and let her wear it to Dragoncon if she goes. If not, I'll probably wear it. I'll be going as my Moogle [link] for one day, Kagura [link] from Furuba (and Eleanorkeyheart is going to be Tohru!), and San [link] from Princess Mononoke (Joey will be Ashitaka next year!). It'll be so much fun. I can't wait! ^_^ *San Picture is property of ~Sonda not my picture*

I've been on the phone all day today. I'm so tired of talking. Getting things done with classes for art, plane tickets to Utah, work schedules and more. I feel like I've been saying a tounge twister all day.

Well, no art classes for me this summer. I don't have the money and beginner course that I wanna take doesn't start until August and I'll be out of town. Poop. Well, I can still take Piano lessons.

I got some new advertising on Tegaki that I've sent in. I used #2 being that I want people to come here while I work on my website. . . >.< My poor neglected website...

I drew a dragon!!! Did you see it!? You should! It's awesome and totally cool! It's all done in copics and for a first real dragon and first actual copic work (stippling) I say it's awesome. Why? Because I can. I have very few pictures that I consider awesome of mine...

Work is getting annoying. I really REALLY want a full time job and work an actual set schedule. I'm sick of not working and working and working this and that. Ugh. She scheduled me for Saturday when I CLEARLY said I cannot work Saturday because I have a recital to be at! IT says right there *points to request off sheet* Hours unavaliable for work: "ALL DAY". Angerment....

In other news:
This summer I'll be working some Pottery Workshops for the kids. It'll be a lot of fun! I can't wait! Also, I'm going to try and take up a watercolor class. I found one at Hobby Lobby that's pretty cheap and since I know absolutely nothing about them, I thought I'd go. ^_^ So that will occupy time, but it'll be art, so I'll be sure and post what I've done (if it's DA worthy).

I have a few more commissions to finish before I can start on my website. So I'm going to do those in between working on the website. One from Gaia and two friends that I said I'd draw for.

So as for plans this summer, I dunno what's going on. I need to go head out to Utah sometime and see Jekka before she leaves me for two years. Sadness. I WANNA GO TO JAPAN DANG IT! She better bring me daifuku or onigiri or koala snacks. SOMETHING! lol Notice it's all food. Hades I'm such a fat Panda. lol

Anyways!!!! As you see there have been a lot of photos. I know!! Sorry!!! lol But they're somewhat good. My manager has me on a project of printing off all the pottery pictures and making an album. I think I'm going to just take a jump drive to cosco or something because I'm not wasting all the ink on that. . . Not to mention that my printer sucks...

I have been working on this commission that was asked for a long time ago. It's hard!!! I don't have a base character, she changes her outfit all the time. Not to mention that I have to draw her sitting in a chair hiding her face behind a book. . . I'm not good with the sitting. Porportions are never right.

1. My middle name, Kaualulehuaopanaewa, is actually a name that was supposedly a "cursed" name because the child who received it previous of Tutu (whom is my grandmother, was supposed to get it) got sick and died. Superstition ended the passing of this name through Tutu's gen.

2. I have a complete obsession with. . . . . CONVERSE!! omg, you thought I was going to say Link weren't you. Tricky Tricky... lol XD Some of you may know this, but I own 8 pair of converse, soon to be 9... Yay for being a moogle and wanting white cons.

3. I am actually an only child!! I talk of having sisters, which the number steadily grows, but I am a single only child and was actually not even supposed to be here. Mom was told she could never be pregnant. Crazy huh!? Man, who knows what doom would reign if I wasn't here! lol XD

4. When I'm bored and by myself I sing random songs and talk to myself. Occasionally if I'm around people I'll make wierd noises that scare people. My panda growl is most popular amongst me when I'm in a good mood. (Yes, sometimes the voices talk back)

5. I have never seen any of the Star Wars movies.

6. I hate the television. The shows that are on today irritate me and the only thing that is ever really worthy of watching is cartoons (IMO). There are few shows I can tolerate watching and movies are hard for me to sit through. I'm never really in the mood for a movie, I'd rather go outside and play at the park. Most of the time I see shows because I can hear/see them from the computer room.

Yup, for the first time this winter, it is snowing in Memphis, TN. Crazy stuffs. Now everyone's rushing to the store for bread and eggs. *rolls eyes* I'll vent about that in Hedgehog Secrets. ([link])

So I've posted some ceramics and a cake and some other random crafts. I'm ALWAYS doing crafts, but I don't always post them on here, so I'll try and get some up on here every so often. I'm back on Commissions again, I'll start working on Boy's commission tomorrow. (I have to work tonight.) Hopefully I can make this look somewhat good. I suck at drawing people sitting....

Question: Does anyone know how to make the little picture different from the full view picture? A lot of Deviations have it and how do they do it?! It's obviously two different pictures, but is it a non-free account thing? or what? Does anyone know what I'm taking about.... I've been known to speak Manci and not know it.... Also, how do you make a link, but make it say something else on here? Is it the same as HTML? Cause I know that....

Anyways, so I've just about finished the commission from my manager to finish the Bridal Shower invitations. I have the "Final" up in Confessions of a Hedgehog ([link]), but I need to get ribbon for it, then I'll take a picture and post it here. ^_^ I'm so excited! They look so pretty!

Also, I've been working on another commission for a friend of mine whom I call "Boy". It'll take me a while to really start working on it (once I'm done with these invitations) but I will get it done!! Then there's another project in charcoal that I'll start after that. You animal/horse lovers should like that. ^_^

Other than this, nothing much else going on in the life of Zoie's art! Just trying to find a website that gets me that will host Web Comics. I've looked at Comic Genesis, but there's a lot of words on the form that I don't quite get... We'll see.... I may end up doing it. If anyone knows of any other Web Comic hosts, do inform me, I'd love to know. Nothing competitive, just somewhere to post up Myschevious Mayhem.

Art! I have two colored things I'll be posting soon. I have one that is from the *color-me-club and another that I drew. I was going to post it as a Lineart for everyone to color, but I want to color it. Sorry. This one's going to be kinda a personal picture. I've got a commish that I'm waiting for approval of the sketch. It's a little difficult this commish, but it's worth the challenge. I'm happy with how the guy turned out. He looks good. I don't understand why some people disagree with this saying... It's completely true. You can't appreciate health without understanding sickness. You can't be truly happy without knowing depression. Anyways, just a little "deep thought" for today.

YAY! NEW ART! The best part is, you can color it!!! Why? Because I said you could and I love all my fans!!! (ok don't overdo it...) Really though, y'all are great. Anyway, have fun, hope you like it. ^_^

I've got a project going. An order actually. I've been "hired" to make birthday invitations for a 9 year olds princess party. She said she'd pay me for the time, ink and card-stock; so I'm all up for it. Woot! It's going to be interesting. I got some really neat art coming up. I've been drawing out some profiles for Mayhem characters. I'm working on Traci right now, I've got Mandi all done; TO WHICH I am changing Mandi's name to Zoie. Why? Because I want to. So Myschevious Mayhem now stars Zoie, not Mandi.
I also got some lineart that I finished in illustrator. I'm going to get it "approved" by my illustrator teacher Woot Woot and see what he thinks before I post it. After that, I'll submit it to and y'all can go for it.
