Hmm, maybe I should leave the gremlins a treat, in thanks. Do gremlins like milk and cookies, or is that just Santa? I know that typical garden-variety fairies prefer milk with honey, but I don't even know if gremlins are related to them.
Uh-oh, what if it's brownies, not gremlins? Any show of gratitude would be a terrible idea, if that were the case. Now that I think about it, any food left around will attract ants for sure, so never mind that. Besides, I think my folktale-nerdiness is showing.

So many self portraits that I see on this website seem very flat, devoid of personality, so I went through loads of those images to find the ones that seemed to convey something about the artist's spirit.
