A couple things:

"Tito and Simon," my stop-action/flash/clay-animation film for school is getting closer and closer to being finished! YAY. It's been in the works for 9 or so weeks and it's not over yet, but it needs to be finished by next Thursday or Friday so I'll be sure to upload it once It's done. I was able to use the wacom tablet from school to do the animation since my tablet pen is broken and I'm still low on money so I haven't bought a new pen yet. I might post some still frames later.

I'm pretty overwhelmed with all the end of school junk I've got to do. I have to finish not only Tito and Simon, but also my other film that has been unfinished for 9 months or so. I also have a huge project for lit due next week and an AP test on Friday in addition to the film festival for cinema on the 8th and 9th. After next week my work load will lighten up a lot, so I might be able to upload some of the other arty type things I've been working on.

I discovered a new band last week, LOS CAMPESINOS! they're pretty nifty so my friend and I went down to Twist and Shout and bought all their CDs. If you like crazy cool indie/alternative rock/awesomeness check these guys out. Here's a couple cool animated music videos:

Speaking of music, I've made it my goal to learn some type of musical instrument over the summer. My choice of noise making thingie? A concertina. A fully chromatic 30 button English "Jackie" concertina. CHECK IT:

Since it's fully chromatic (2.5 whole octaves) I plan on playing all kinds of stuff on it, not just Irish reels and the like (though those sound really cool.)

Also, I really appreciate all the favs and watches I've been getting, but you know what would be even cooler? If when you add something to your favorites, you comment on it first. As much as I like seeing that someone likes my work enough to fav it, it'd be really nice to let me know what exactly you think of it.

I know it's April Fool's day, but I'm not joking around. The animation I was working on will probably not get done (if it gets done at all) until I get my new pen, when or if that happens.

Sorry I haven't uploaded anything in a long time. I'll try to upload some sketches or drawings or something, but anything that was in the works (that requires my pen :[...) is on hiatus. You might be glad to know that I'm taking on a pretty ambitious stop-action/flash animation hybrid project for school that should be done by the film festival (which is May 8 and 9th.)

I got a new iPod. My old one was way broken, and way 3 years old, so I'm happy about getting a new one.

I also finally got my driver's license, and I have a car, so it's been nice to be able to drive wherever I want. I've already broken the rules a few times in terms of how many people I can drive in my car (zero excluding my sister according to Colorado law.)

I don't feel very different now that I'm a year older, but I haven't been feeling as down as I have been lately, so that's good.

I'm working on some pretty awesome movies at school, so when I'm done, I'll try to get them up here or on youtube or whatever.

I guess that's it.

Oh, and Lost. Who else totally loved the season premiere?!! : D : D :]

Man, I haven't updated this in FOREVER. My arm is now healed, but I did have to have surgery and now I have a titanium plate and SEVEN titanium screws on my right radius. No, it doesn't beep when I go through a metal detector or through security at the airport.
SPEAKING OF AIRPORT! I've been traveling WAY too much this summer. First I went with my school to College park Maryland for NATIONAL HISTORY DAY! If you don't know what that is, look it up. And in case you're wondering, I made a documentary, and even though our team didn't make it to nationals, I went anyway cuz I'm badass. So I was there for a week, came back home for 12 hours, and left for Cape Cod for another week, then we drove to NYC for a few days where I saw Chicago, which was lame, and Les Mis, which was amazing to the max for reels. After that, I was home for a while, and then we went to Florida to visit my grandma, then we came home, and went to the mountains for a week-ish in Estes Park, which was cool, and then my grandma died, so we went back to Florida for 5-ish days. We got home last night. This summer, I've probably spent 100 hours in airports across the country. I'm sick of traveling.

ARTWISE: I really should be working on this animation I started for school and never finished, and I should be editing the footage I took in Nationals, and I should not be drawing stupid adventure time arts with Appleworks 6. [link] But I am.

This weekend I'm participating in this 48 hour film competition, which will be awesome and I'm really excited and YAY.

Yeah, springbreak in Hawaii, I kinda crashed an ATV into a tree. A fallen down tree... thing... area...
A more detailed account of what happened will be made availible once it doesn't make me scared to think about it. And once I can type more efficiently. Speakng of which, I'm right handed... and I broke my right wrist, so I can't write, or DRAW or use the tablet, or type properly, or even use the goddamn mouse. I don't know what I'm going to do. OH GOD and I can't play the ukelele that I got on vacation, or the piano, or the Wii!!! Yep, I got a wii. I was going to post that in a big journal thing for the last couple months, but that's gunna have to wait even longer. damn.

so basically, stuff sucks right now and i'm getting too lazy to fix all the typos and stuff made by typing with one hand, so i'll stop now.

and i didn't post that last journal. yeah that wasn't me...

Oh man, and the cast party. Just... wow. That was insane. We went to IHOP after the performance, and sat there for an hour before someone came and took out order for drinks. Ok, so there were 50 other cast people there at 11 at night, but our table got there relatively early, and we were the last to leave cuz we didn't get our food until 12:30. And the people behind us who were in the play started molesting the guy next to me. The used up like 10 packets of sweet'n'low in his hair, and were chewing on his hoodie. Then they put an onion ring on his head. When we were leaving, he submited himself to more torture by letting people draw makup with crayon on his face. One of the people we were with turned to me and said "Why did you go out with him?" I'm curently not going out with him. I broke up with him last Thursday. And when that guy said that to me, I really thought about it and responded simply "I have no idea." It was a dumb thing to do. I didn't really like him, so I ended up hurting him. yeah. Then they closed IHOP, so we left and the boys had a shopping cart race in the parking lot of Home Depot, and we froze while waiting for a ride home.

GUH.

A bunch of my friends have been busy with Aida (one of my best friends is working the sound board) and one of my friends is on a chuch thing so she couldn't help with the shoot. I haven't talked properly to a lot of them in a really long time and it's making me sad.

And I have to animate this thing for my neighbor, and I really don't want to do it anymore. I need to finish today. Ew.

My birthday's coming up, and I'm not really excited. I don't know why, I guess it's just cuz I'm feeling down about other stuff.
My mom and sister are leaving for Florida and coming back on my birthday.
I haven't talked to my dad in like 5 months.
I got my hair cut and my new bangs keep poking me in the eye.
I have to buy tickets to a concert soon, and I don't know who I have to buy tickets for.
I have to film an ad for my school's Oscar Night next week.

Yeah, Bleh.

I woke up on Wednesday at like 9, wondering why I wasn't at school. So, all day I spent with my little sister, and our friends who live a few blocks away. We played pictionary, and then walked in the blizzard down to Annnie's Cafe, WHICH WAS CLOSED. Damn them. So we ate at the pizza place instead, and walked back to our house, where we watched Akeelah and the Bee. It was alright, it's downfall was probably because it was produced by STARBUCKS ENTERTAINMENT. How sacry is that. Run four your lives. D:

It's funny seeing cars that can't move at all because they're up to the windows with snow. The whole neighborhood lookd like a winter wonderland. One that if you tried to dive though it, you'd fail horribly.

Yesterday, my sister, and my friend and I took some snowboards, trespassed though backyards and shtuff, and hung out at the park, where we spent 3 hours making a ramp off a table. I'd never been off a ramp on a snowboard before, but it's really fun. I can't wait to go up snowboarding this season. We played a hilarious game of Balderdash at their house before trekking on home.

The streets are really slippery now.

We went to another park today with the snowboards, where there were a ton of sledders, and someone had set up a huge ramp, and a rail. I fell a lot, and got kinda pissed at these dumbass boarding school boys who were railsliding the whole time, but it was fun... until I almost lost my toes. It's supa cold out there. Now I'm at home trying to warm up, and making Rice Krispie treats. I should probably wrap presants now.

Later we're going to see a Nuggets game. We get to see their new guy in action. Should be sweet.

I miss my friends form school. I haven't seen any of them since Tuesday, and a lot of them are leaving.
*sigh*
oh well.

At least there's the snow.

I finally finished my animation, and I got a preloader and a play button to work! The only reason I totally don't fail at actionscript is because of my buddy Huan. He rules. I'm saying everything that's on the description for that animation. Stopping now.

Yeah, so I'm really excited because the video cinema arts department is having the first film festival for this year on Friday and Saturday! Yeah, I go to an arts school for those of you who don't know, and I'm in the cinema program. I make movies. Really? Really! Don't flip out guys. So we showcase our films every December and May in a big film festival extravaganza, which is totally awesome, and the whole film fest is based off of a movie, [link] and this time we're doing SNAKES ON A FILM FESTIVAL. We make a teaser allong with previews for all our movies to show to the school before the film festival to get people to come, and we filmed the teaser today. I got killed by the science teacher's anaconda. YAY! And I got stepped on. YAY! Yeah. My awesome movie (that took 4 months to make) is showing on Friday, and the film I'm currently working on probably won't be in the film festival, because we're not even done filming it. We're filming the scenes with the cranberries and the trout and the icecream tomorrow. Yes, there is a scene that involves cranberries, a trout, and icecream. Don't ask. But yeah, I'm really excited for the film festival. It's going to be awesome. YAY.

Drawing during history class (and math... and lit) is fun. I wish I had a scanner.

I have a giant stack of drawings and doodles and sketches and all sorts of stuff that I really really really REALLY want to upload, but I can't. I wish people could see them. There's a billion ones of freckle boy and stuff. ok, enough whining.

I had Ultimate Frisbee practice yesterday. That was really fun. I still don't understand it fully, but I had a lot of fun. I even scored a point. YAY.
