Hey all! Mystic here to notify all you freaky furs of our newest contest!
Soon to be a whole string of them! A few of us at the forum noticed that the maps we have now are nice, but wheres the rest? We have a map for the north mark, south mark and an overview map. So onto the current contest, we want to see what you think the healing winds looks like!

( Remember to read the blurb about the healing winds in it's own journal, which can be found in our menu to the left there, or/and look at the forum for it [link] to know what the land marks are and the general layout we are looking for. )

History of the Pride's Beginning:
The Misfit Pride was started by a lioness named Aurora Sankoffa who was a part of a pride who were bred to be "different". They were taken care of by a Village in Africa, and they used the big cats for hunting, carrying items, protection, and rarely fighting for land. One day a neighboring village attacked and killed the people, seeing no use for the lions, they set them lose and drived them away. Aurora was separated from her mother and siblings during the attack and was alone in the world. She met many prides, but they all shunned her because she was a "freak" to them. She met up with another small Lioness named Nadra. This lion was strange like her, and she was a dwarf compared to regular lions. They teamed up and tried to survive on their own, but without hunting knowledge, they would starve. They ran in to a male lion named Adwin - Badru who, just like them, was unusual and had freak powers. He joined them and began hunting for them. Together, they started the Misfit Pride. Adwin - Badru and Aurora became mates and are now the Alpha's of the pride.

Deviation Admin - You will need to be able to sort through the deviations daily, Favorite Everything and Anything that *ONLY* deals with the Misfit Pride. All other deviations that don't deal with the Misfit Pride must be deleted. It sounds like an easy job, but really it becomes annoying at times.

Comment Admin - You will need to sort through the comments daily and answer them truthfully, nicely, and try to fulfill everyone's needs. This will need to be filled by someone who is social, polite, and has good typing skills. No offense.

WEST MARK: THE HIDDEN KINGDOM
Far to the West lies the Hidden Kingdom Mark. This mark, on the surface is just an open wild plain, with small clusters of bushes here and there. But if one looks closely, a large rock can be found, sheltered by a few bushes. Next to this rock is a dug out hole, the entrance leads to a twisted maze of numerous tunnels, many of which are dead ends so as to throw off intruders. Following the correct path, leads one to the Communal cave, a large common room where lions of the mark chat and meet.
This leads out to the main network of tunnels and dens that house the pride. This mark has only two entrances. One entrance is near the large rock while the other is quite hidden to most of the pride.
The lions of this mark literately live down underground, those who wish to remain separate from the above ground world tend to choose this place to keep themselves private and in a sense, hidden.

Nuri's Story :
Nuri was born in the daylight with her eyes burned by the hot sun . Thus she was named Nuri . Her mother had always been odd most said..but only because of her scent...But when Her mother died Nuri was left alone...still she was accepted by another lioness . Her markings ...fur color and change in eyes were gradual though . In her early years Nuri was normal . As she got older though everything began to show but still....everyone tolerated her because they knew her. Knew Nuri who was just like everyone else if not in apearance . When her mark on her back showed up...one of the older lionesses said it was a sign that she would be a guardian . Soon she was looking after her younger half brothers and sisters . But one morning the pride known as the goldenfangs which explains her markings , were attacked by hyenas ...a larger group than the pride . It was a fierce battle for territory and in the end...The hyenas won . Nuri fled , taking the cubs with her far out . The little ones couldn't understand . but while off hunting for food for them she was ambushed . Nuri survived but when she finally returned the cubs were gone . She has been wandering ever since . Nuri loved protecting them ..loved them really , but alone and without them she became depressed . Other prides wouldn't accept the odd looking lioness and she became worse . It was a few years later that she met Badru , her unkown half -brother and found someone to guard again

as to recent news, Kiyo is officially in her busy period where she will have little time to deal with pride messages, so im here to do my job ^.^ please take pity on me though, i am still doing my HSC end of school ever thing, which is stressful enough without worrying about DA.
Anywho, im making this new journal to inform you all that Kiyo granted me permission to assign ranks, therefore i have spent at least an hour or so ( it is WAY past my bedtime ) going throuhg the marks and assigning ranks. I have done all listed in the marks, if you have any objections or preference suggestions, note the club, i'll be happy to deal with it, just dont expect an imediate reply

All Rooks and Bishops please discuss what you want your sub division to be like [For example... The North is made up of three small mountains, which have many dens suitable for the Lions. We have the plains infront of it to hunt for food... blah blah blah... Give me the run down of your land. ] And also remember, these are Prides, but little groups branched off from the Big Pride. We're just too many to stay in one area. We're stronger to split. But Misfit Mountain is where all Lions Lounge, visit, and play. The Knights must always check back to the Alpha's Aurora and Adwin about their Mark's well being.

Well, Since people want both... We'll make this a double Contest! All those who want to do the Icon Contest, do so. All those who want to do the Drawing Contest, DO SO! There will be a favorite picked from both categories!

Icon Contest = Make an Icon for the Club! It has to include "Misfit Pride" on it somewhere.

Drawing Contest = Draw as many of the pride members as you want.

CENTER MARK: THE LIFE TREE
Located at the heart of the Misfit Pride, this is where the Alphas reside. The Center Mark was made around a wide, large, old tree that never seemed to be to important. There is a large hollow entrance way at the base of the tree, which leads into an underground network of tunnels housing dens for misfits, a public central room and a communal watering hole. This is the largest area in the center mark. On the side of the tree, cut into the bark years ago, is a makeshift staircase leading up into the thick branches, which can easily support many lions. Even though this tree is hollowed out at the base, its still quite alive and healthy. Infact it's very aura is teeming with life, this is how it got the name "Life Tree". Outside surrounding the tree is the grounds, where lions meet & greet and can rest in the shade.
This mark has the best of both worlds, being high in the air, or being protected deep underground.

Aurora's Story:
She was born within a Human Tribe, the Tribe had lions for protection and to ride. In return the lions were given food and huts to sleep in and treated like godesses. But a neighboring Tribe attacked them in the dead of night and killed the people, torched their homes, and the Lionesses were set free. Now she's all on her own and trying to find somewhere to belong but since she smells like Human, Lions won't take her in to their pride. So whenever she finds an abandoned Lion by themself, she takes them in and is slowly creating her own Pride. She has a Bandanna tied around her neck and a feather dangling from that because it was the only way The Tribe knew her from the other Wild Lions, she continues to wear it, in fear she may forget where she had come from.

Personality/powers:
She's quite a closed female, but when you get to know her she's really nice and caring. she can be a ton of fun aswell. She has another form, her Kama form. (pictured in the above picture) which her and her son can transform into at will, the form gives more courage and better fighting ability, also the power of one element and ghost/spirit powers. Jata's element is earth.

Story:
Born to Mufasa and Sarabi, sister of Simba, Jata was born just before Mufasa died. No one apart from Simba, Sarabi and Mufasa knew of her birth, they wanted to keep it a secret until they were ready. Then Mufasa died, when scar took over he found out about this cub. He was suppossed to have killed her,but she softened his heart, so instead he scarred her right eye leaving her blood to make it look like a death, and then took her to become Zira's cub, since she had just given birth to Nuka, also if Scar was ever overthrown she would be a handy weapon. Jata grew up knowing Scar and Zira as her parents, and only knowing Sarabi as the pride mother and old queen. When scar was overthrown, Jata and Nuka were cub's, but nearly adolecent. They were banished to the outlands, simba never knowing it was his sister he was exiling. Over time Jata took care of Kovu and vitani, always knowing that they wern't really Scars cubs, although Scar thought they were, and Zira could never tell anyone of this fact. Soon Jata and Nuka fell in love, but they didn't pursue their feelings for a long time, until one day Jata came clean with her mother and told her about her feelings, Zira told Jata the truth, since she felt she couldn't stand in the way of true love, but when telling Jata the tory she made it sound like Sarabi didn't want her, and so making Jata hate the pridelanders. Soon Jata and nuka became mates and had a cub called Namu. When Nuka died Namu was a young cub, and Jata fully grown. Jata, not allowed to be in the fight that killed Nuka because she was a secret weapon. Distraught about her mates death her and Namu wandered, finding the Exiled Kovu who told them the truth about their lie of a life. They left, wandering insearch of somewhere. Soon they stumbled upon a pride called the Kama pride, who cursed Jata and Namu, so they ended up with a Kama side which they soon mastered. Their age was also stilled until they found a pride that suited them best, and they felt like home. Before seeting off again Jata and Namu returned to see the pridelands and meet their true family, but left them again searching.

Namu is quite shy when he first meets people, but when he gets used to you, he will come out of his shell, alhtough it takes some coaxing. He's really nice and will help anyone in danger or need. He has water powers and also ghosty powers with his Kama form.

Story:
Namu was born in the outlands to Jata and nuka, he grew up to a young cub there, and he was loved by everyone. When his father died he was ditraught for days, and would barely speak, and he still now doesn't dare speak of it for fear of upsetting his mother or himself. when they came upon the Kama pride he was scared because of their blood red eyes and whiteish pelts. He was even more scared when he discovered he had the power of one, but his mother and himself pulled through, learning about their new skills together, along with this curse Namu was given the power/curse of not being able to grow from a cub until finding his true place in the world, and when an adult he would grw extremely slowly, as Jata was given the power not to age either, and when she found her true place she would age extremely slowly. They returned breifly to the pridelands but left again feeling it was not their true place, and so searched on and on

Personality:
Lotola is a kind lioness, who protects everyone and everything that she either loves, or is important to her. She is strong, agile, and kind. She is bad at confrontation, so she is as nice as she can be to nearly everyone, but if you get her really angry she can just snap and he devil cursed side will take over, so a warning as to not get her angry. The more angry she gets the more of a demon she becomes. She can control her demoness, so if needed she can become a demon and control herself if she wills herself to change, but if she doesn't she cannot control herslef as much.

Story:
Lotola was born into a pride called "The light pride", this pride has a gift in producing light orbs, that's why Lotola has a light orb strapped around herright back foot. The light pride is very apperance concious, so iof the females aren't beautiful they are jeered at, if the males aren't strong and handsome they are also jeered at. Lotola was born with a slight mohawk mane and odd colours upon her pelt and mane. Her mother hid her because of this, and her father advised her mother to do so for as long as possible, since he'd seen her curse early. Her father was a rogue male, whome wandered back and forth from the pride a lot, only Lotolas mother knew why, he also had the devils curse, the devil marks were clear on him as werte on his daughter, although he was far more possesed and dangerous than Lotola will ever be. Lotolas mother hid Lotola away until her cub years, when she brought her out into the pride. Straight away she was ridiculed by all the other cubs, and left alone. No-one had told her what her markings meant, and her mother and father both had no idea why she was so strangely coloured, she was a mystry to the world. She bonded with her father more than any one, but he alwas left her at night. Sad and rejected, feeling more alone than ever Lotola wandered out into the night guided by her own light, she sat in the darkness with only her thoughts to comfort her, she asked the gods why she was what she was and what the strange devil markings were, that's when her first demon transformation begun, she was too young to be of any danger and she could still control herself. When she looked in the pool she thought herself a monster, and wandered feeling more alone then ever in her life, when she came across her father, he was in full possesion killing everything he could find for no reason, because he was the most possessed he always turned into a demon at night aswell as when he was angry. Lotola observed from behind a rock so she was safe, since he'd surely have killed her. Her father wasnt the same as he normally was when possesed though since this time he was trying to fight it, it was a very "Jekyll and hyde" moment, when suddenyl a dark shadow like creature ripped out of his stomach killing him, all that was left was the carcass of Lotolas father ripped open. Lotola screamed and fled in a fury of tears back to the den, as the shadow dissapeared into the night. Lotola awoke her mother, who was horrified to see what had happened to her cub, but hse knew if Lotola calmed down she would return to normal. Her mother told her of her curse and all she could. Then Lotola told her the news of her father, and her mother never stopped mourning. Lotola grew into an adult, still shunned by everyone, her power hadn't visited her since that dreadful night, but Lotola had made one friend in her lonely life, and she fell in love with him, and on the night she was going to proclaim her love, he was courting another lioness. Full of rage Lotola fell into her demon and started killing the pride, people she hated and even her mother by accident, but when she hurt her love, she realised what she'd done and came out of her demon side and became normal, horrified she ran, and kept running until she met Amare they then ran together and found Mohlabani and so on till they all foun Swtese.

The lands surrounding the Misfit Pride are certainly not void of life. Close by lives the Meerkat Clan, further on is the Wild dog pack and the Hyena Territory. Many of our members have taken the initiative to make characters for these other groups. And of course, not every animal, lion, hyena or otherwise always lives in a group. There are plenty of rouges of every variety and species that roam the lands.
Some of these characters are allies to the pride, some not, and some are a mystery. Although most characters of a clan, or pack usually go by the "group mentality" (AKA, the hyena pack are assumed enemy's) it really all depends on the character.

SOUTH MARK: THE RAIN FOREST
The southern part of the prides territory is primarily rain forest. A fair walk into the jungle following the river will lead you to a deep pool, farther up a small pool and above that a massive waterfall that tell a lion they have entered the south mark. There is a rock nearby for diving, and soft sand to rest on here. On the right of the waterfall in a large area of soft sand there grows a single cherry tree, this area is the communal sandy cove. On the flat ground to the left of the pool and waterfall is a large fig tree, a small cluster of trees and the sand rocks. Behind the waterfall is the entrance to a large hidden communal cave. The communal cave where mark members gather is underneath the river that leads to the water fall. It is a large and long room with smooth rock walls, a small waterfall and river also run through the center of the room. The communal cave branches out to the mark members dens, on the left the entrance to the Rook and Bishop's den. Close to this is the entrance to the knight's. On the right side, the entrance to the mark members dens can be found. A small stone stairway on the left or the communal cove leads up the the outside communal cliff, a large flat stone above the dens.

Zero- Born into a zoo, when the zoo went under he was sold to a traveling circus, since he was a rare white and black lion, at the circus he was beaten, abused, and neglected,. but as it was all he ever knew he felt an unconditional love for his keepers,. stockholm syndrome,, his name wasnt actually Named Zer0, but rather he was located on the Z row, and he adopted the name himself. Despite all that he endured with his living conditions, he never retaliated against his maltreatment. not realizing the fury building within him.. one of the stops that the circus made was in africa,. where he met Riz. although Zer0 now knows that Riz was a figment of his pent up anger, he ultimately helped Zer0 in his escape. Riz would open Zer0's cage, and wreck havoc throughout the circus in the night. Leading to more and more punishment on Zer0, until Zer0 grew to hate Riz. finally Riz opened the cage and egged Zer0 on until he couldnt take it anymore. Zer0 chased Riz through the camp, into his keepers tent. It was too late until Zer0 realized what he had done, the keepers were dead. He fled from the camp,. running for miles. until he stared off into the sun. and heard the words of Riz in his ear. "Zer0, you are free.." he never saw Riz again after that,. Eventually in his travels through the savannah he met Aranum, and was welcomed into a pride of misfits.

Personality: Loving and kind, yet a bit stand offish and shy/quiet. he doesnt anger easily, but when he does its like a solar flare, hot and untamable. but subsiding quickly.

EAST MARK: THE HEALING WINDS
To the East of the Pride is a very important part of the lands: the Healing Winds Mark. Its primary function is to house the sick, weak, and injured. Those who have healing powers are the main inhabitants of this Mark; many of which are calm and gentle natured. This mark is very serene, and has a tranquil aura. One enters the mark in the Lower Grounds, this is the common meeting place with a high spot in which the Rook and Bishop can watch their fellow members. Another level up is where the Herb Garden is located. This vast and beautiful garden produces all the healing plants and various medicines needed for natural healing. The ground slopes up yet again, to the dens. Here is a cluster of dens for the residents of the mark, and then special dens to house the sick and injured. At this level, in the center of the mark is where the Misfit Pride's Medical Library can be found. Here in this vast room, collected from many different sources through time, are numerous collections of books, scrolls, drawings and carvings all swollen with knowledge about different herbs, remedies, life saving medicines, healing magic practice and the anatomy of animals. Along with housing the prides medical knowledge masters of the art often teach cubs or young healers about the craft here.

-His tail still moves on its own, w/o help from muscles. ( HAUNTED TAIL. )
-He's got two purple marks under his right eye. They only appear in the prescence of royalty. (Like if he was standing next to Aurora) This is a sign of royalty from his old tribe.
-He is extraordinarily tolerant.
-He thinks Xylia is hawt.
-He can vaporize threats with his mind. O.o But he can't control it, so he doesn't ever try to do it. Though sometimes, when the threat is great, it just sort of happens.
-That's all so far... *is a unique trait addict*

Story:
He was royalty, like Simba, ya know? (That's what the two markings under his left eye stand for.)He was 'the prince' or something like that. Well, he got older, and older, but his mane wouldn't grow. Now, in his tribe, the mane makes the lion. The bigger the mane, the better. Even the females grew those little mohawks that adolescent males get. (traits of the tribe) But he couldn't grow one. Because of this, the tribe declared him a disgrace, banished him, and changed his name to Tiassale because they believed it would help them forget. So, now that that's out, we can safely assume that somewhere along the line he was attacked (by hyenas), and that's where he got the scars that made him half-blind and mute. The End.

NORTH MARK: THE MISFIT MOUNTAINS
The Northern most point of the pride lands holds the original home of the Alphas. This mark is made up of completely rocky terrain. A network of tunnels and dens are etched and run through the rock. Watch towers are located on all four corners of marks exterior, this is where trusted lions go to keep watch for enemies, intruders, or any other threats.
There is a main entrance cut into the side of the mountains, though a few other entrances can be found if one looks hard enough. Entering the mark there is a communal common court where lions gather to meet on another. Here is a pathway that leads to the Rook and BishopÂs den along with a flat stone bridge in which they may watch and address the court below. From the common court branches tunnels leading to the dens.
In this mark one can also find the Misfit Prides Judgment Circle, which is located in the Southern most part of the Mountains and it is large enough to fit the whole pride. Its main purpose is the place where a lion is judged for his or her crimes, but the Judgement Circle can also be used for other reasons. All of the pride gather here to bear witness to an event that effects the whole pride. There is a boulder that is removed for a moment to send away exiles; their names are carved on the boulder as well to remind others that crimes will not be tolerated.

Story:
Jethro is facinated by humans' work in fictional universes, as Faugrans generally lean toward poetry and science. He collects mountains of books, from thousand-page novels to comic books. A favorite series is the Fantastic Four, where 4 people gain new powers from exposure to radiation. Not realizing that this is completely fictional, he sets out for a nuclear power plant and breaks in (somehow) to try to gain some special power. However, the radiation fries his nerves, leaving his entire right side paralyzed.
Doctors discern that there is no choice but to amputate both his right legs. Shanu and Infinity, Jethro's mother and brother, arrive about a week later, and Shanu is horrified, as you can imagine. Infinity plays the biggest part in helping Jethro around, cracking jokes the whole time, of course. Jethro knows this is merely his way of handling stress, and is extremely tolerant.
Malcor asks the Professor if he could possibly build Jet replacement limbs. He replies that he works mainly with genetics, not mechanical systems, but he had an old friend who may be of assistance: a gnarly redneck known affectionately as Old Man Bert. He lives deep in the rolling hills of West Virginia... with his primary laboritory beneath the entire length and breadth of one hill in particular, essentially being the hill. Bert can create from scrapmetal and miles of computer wires pretty much any gadget anyone could ever need.

Obtaining Rook, Bishop & Knight Ranks

What are Rooks, Bishops and Knights?
They are ranks right below the Alphas, descending in authority from Rook to Knight.
Since the pride is so large, it is divided into "marks" one in each of the four directions and one more in the center of the territory. The center mark is where the Alphas live, since they can't be everywhere at once, Rooks & Bishops tend to their designated mark and keep everything running smoothly. There are Knights in every mark, these also take care of the marks as well.

Do they have to be mates? Is the position open to only one gender?
No, and no. No one said that Rook and Bishops had to be mates. It is totally possible for leaders not to be hooked together. All it means is, you two are the most powerful and well rounded lions to lead. Any gender can be in any position.

Remember, you should be a member that's been around her for at least a little while, and your character has to be a part of said mark. You must be an active member, and have a character ready to take on the responsibility.

Obtaining Rook, Bishop & Knight Ranks
If you see a member that owns a character with one of those ranks, that hasn't been here in a long time, note an admin about how your interested in the position, why and why your character would be good for the position in question.

So I go away for a while and now my character's rank is gone!
If a member who has a Rook/Bishop/Knight character, is inactive for a large amount of time without a warning, Then their spot is free pickings. We need to keep the pride changing and moving on. Your character will however still will be a respected member of the pride.

Being Challenged & Overthrown
If you characters position is being challenged, you will receive a message stating you are being " Challenged " for your spot. You can then role play this out with said member who wants the position or give a straight answer if your willing to give up the position.

If you do not respond to this message within a week's time, the change is made permanent for all to see. Your character's position was "Over-thrown".

If you come back too late then tough poop. Adjatay:
Being the first born, it would be expected to be the largest, but he is not. His younger brother, who is 15 minutes younger then him, is almost doubled his size. He is very quiet and likes to be by himself. He takes in information other Lions would not be able to conceive, and he is a bit of a bad boy. Even though he is so smart, he is stubborn at times and likes to use his age against his siblings.

Hakim:
He is the largest of the four cubs, even though he is second born. He is a natural born leader, a stickler for the rules, and constantly leading his siblings. He admires his father and sticks by him all the time, taking in all his responsibilities for the future to keep the pride up and running without failure. He is afraid someday he might not be strong enough to take over his father's role, but every day his confidence boosts a little more which helps him for the future. He is amazingly strong and is stronger every day. He in the only cub who has two obvious traits on his fur from his parents; Dorsal Dots and Spots. But, oddly enough, he was born with the ability to heal, which neither Adwin or Aurora have. It is strange, and Adwin suspects that maybe the trait was passed down from his father, who was a great healer for the Pride he once was in. Hakim, is a reflection of his father, strong, brave, and a leader.

Sauda is the only female in the litter, but that only makes her stronger. She rivals Hakim in size and strength, she also wants to be leader, but she focuses on more important issues. Food, Shelter, and Enemies. She has a strong hatred for Hyena's, who are constantly wandering in to their territory. Sauda follows her mother a lot, but prefers to be with Kayin. Sauda is a guardian figure for Kayin, she follows him every where and makes sure to keep him out of trouble. WHAT IS THE MISFIT PRIDE?

ANSWER: The Misfit Lion Pride began with a single Lion, Aurora Sankofa, who was left in the wild after being taken care of by humans since a cub. She never learned to hunt for food, make shelter, and socialize with wild lions. Poor Aurora spent her days wandering, in search of some pride to take her in, and yet, she failed. Until one fateful hot African day, she bumped in to another Lioness who was also falling down the path of a dieing lonely lioness. These two, found strength in each other, and continued, together, to find food and start a life. Once they found Adwin-Badru, all was clear. Adwin-Badru could hunt for food, tell them the unknowns, and teach them how to be a pride. With the beginning of this small pride, who else will they meet in the African plains? Now this Misfit Pride, roams Africa, looking for their own territory, and picking up Loner Cubs, Lionesses and Lions; No matter their attitude, stature, shape, color, background, age, or deformities.

Since then the pride has grown considerably! (:
With so many lions and big cats in a pride there's no telling how a character will change and develop! Either into a kind hearted pride mate, or into a vicious rouge, the choice lies on the wings of fate.

WHAT DO I NEED TO JOIN?

ANSWER: To either make up a Lion character from scratch (highly recommended) or if you currently have a Lion / Lion hybrid character who is certainly unique and needs a pride, feel free to roar for my attention!

Requirements:
+ A Lion who lives in AFRICA IN CURRENT DAY.
+ A Name with a Meaning. [Ex. Aurora "Dawn"]
+ If a "Made from scratch" Lion, a Symbol on its body.
+ Unique Traits that make Him/Her stand out from everyday Lions.
[Ex. Fur Colors, Deformities, Special Abilities, etc]
+ A Background story of either their troubled past, or Why they were not accepted by normal Prides.
+ A Reference Sheet. (Made By Kiyoshi or Yourself)

Getting a better rank is tricky, you have to work at what you want. The ranks are weirdly set up. But I'll list the ranks I have off mind from lowest to highest (1 being the Highest)

Lion Ranks

1 Alpha - Of course the Highest of Ranks. The Alpha's have to be strong Mentally, Physically, and Spiritually. Someone who is willing to lead and be sensible about things. They have the hardest job of picking out the bad traits and trying to make the Pride a Strong one.

2 Rook - Lives at one of the 4 directional Marks, and acts as the position of authority there. They make sure everything is in order, and take news about the mark and bring it to Aurora and Adwin.

3 Bishop - Under the Rook, they make sure everything is in order, and take news about the mark and bring it to Aurora and Adwin. Like, cubs being born, how well the food supply is, any cubs being trained to become hunters, any hyenas or wild dogs in the territory. Or if anyone has had any attacks on the mark or anything bad is happening.

4 Knight - One lives at each of the marks, highest authority, under alphas, rooks and bishops.They make sure the pride is moving smoothly. And do many of the little but important jobs that can't be done by busy Alphas Rooks & Bishops.

5 Beta - The Under Authority, someone who is amongst the Lions at all times and keeping a close eye on anything that might need to be brought to the Alpha's attention.

6 Alpha's Protector - A high honor of Trust and stature. Someone who is physically strong, and very Brave. Willing to do anything for the Alpha.

7 Hunter - The most common job among the Lions and Lionesses. The strongest, fastest, Lions are sent out to work together as a killing machine. They are depended on to bring back kills for the whole Pride.

8 Cub Watcher - Usually a High Honor, Lionesses with patience and usually either too young to hunt or too old to keep up. They stay with the cubs when the Pride goes out for food.

9 Nurturer - These Lions are best at Healing the sick, dealing with infants, over all our "Doctors"

10 Story Teller - Someone wise and patient who is used to bring peace to our Lions and to help our cubs grow not only physically strong but mentally and spiritually.

11 Breeding - In desperate times these Males or Females have the best traits for strong cubs.

12 Protector - In times of War or Battle, these Lions are sent out to eliminate the threat at all costs.

13 Messenger - Someone who is a fast runner and knows their way around the Land. They are depended on to send messages back and forth between Prides or Lions.

14 Look-out - Someone who is constantly walking about the dens, keeping an eye out in the distance for any threats, which most of the time are rogue Lions or Hyenas.

15 Guard - When a New Lion is allowed in to the pride, the Guards must watch them closely for a few weeks, making sure if they turn they don't hurt any of the Pride members.

16 Recruiter - This Lion is takes time to go off in to uncharted area and look for Rogue Lions who are by themselves, hurt, odd looking, or dieing. This Lion is able to think on their paws fast and get away if the situation turns bad.

17 Tracker - When a pest becomes a threat and needs to be taken care of, the Trackers are sent out to find them. They are skilled in tracking down scents and finding the criminal.

18 Spy - When a Pride gets too close or Hyenas are too suspicious, the spy is sent out to find out as much information as possible, when the Spy returns, the information goes straight to the Alpha, who then decides to send out the Trackers and Protectors to elimanate the threat or not.

19 Scout - A scout is like it sounds. A few Lions who walk the border of he Misfit Pride's Territory, making sure that other Lions get the hint that we're there and chase off any Hyena's that get too close.

20 Pride Member (No rank) - These lions are usually new and have no real rank, whether it's because they could care less, still looking for purpose, or like being a general helper for the pride. Some of these lions live at a mark, others wander between marks.
