Sorry about my absence from DA, it's been a rough year so far. Not much artwork has been happening, i haven't done a photoshoot in months actually i think the last photoshoot I did was the 33 one.

I haven't had much confidence in my own work and sadly as a result of that i stopped drawing because i wanted to, stopped doing photoshoots I even got a new macro lens for my pentax on my 20th b'day and still haven't used that and i have had it for 2 months already.

I can't really say why i lost confidence in my work, i guess shit happens in life

But luckily after spending all day drawing motorbikes at Monash open day i realised what i was missing

I would like to get into automotive design when i graduate, but being a female who knows hardly anything technically about cars i have copped a fair amount of crap over these past few months and i took it too personally and kind of forgot about the little miss Alfa sprint within, if that makes any sense at all lol

I also took critique of my uni work too harshly when really people have been only trying to help me.

I know i have the potential to produce great work but it's going to take some time to get my confidence back.

But thankyou for watching and supporting my page during my absence, all your comments and faves are much appreciated

Ok now for the Alfa update:

The 33 has electrical issues and sadly Alfie's engine is in pieces right now after suffering from a head gasket failure. I haven't driven Alfie since Sunday and I’m not sure when he is going to be up and running again.....

Just wanted to introduce the new addition to our car family at home and also Alfie's new friend a red 1984 Alfa Romeo 33. It is currently getting fixed up so sadly not on the road yet but will be soon.

sorry i haven't been on DA in sooooo long!!! Thanks to my new watchers and regular watches for favs and comments, it's going to take me a while to get to look at all your galleries and what works you have all been upto, i am sure i missed out on alot but i will catch up Also i will add more work soon from the motorshow etc. I am also currently drawing more cars so look out for those soon.

i am back after a couple of weeks not photoshooting anything in one week alone i did 3 big photoshoots which i will be selecting a few pics to put up. Firstly i went into the city and visited a motorbike shop and was able to take a few pics of Yamahas then later that week i went to the Australian International Motorshow on the night it opened and then i attended the SBK season opener grandprix at Phillip Island and got a few pics of motorbikes parked there plus i will add few new alfie pics and some other stuff...

Industrial Alfie was done on sunday morning while Alfie was dirty i drove him to a quiet industrial area and got a few interesting shots, it is definetly a place i will visit again for more photo shoots in the near future so keep watching for that.

As for the Alfie feat. Skyline photoshoot this was done with . Earlier that day we took both the Skyline and Alfie to the carwash and i am so happy with how clean Alfie is now check out 's gallery for pictures of Alfie at the car wash and he also has awesome pics of the Skyline and Alfie together so i highly recommend taking a look at those

More photos and artwork to some through feb, i might be going to Tasmania soon so i will do alot of photography there, it will be interesting to see what i find there

i am submitting new drawings this week, some of them my last ones for 2008 and my new 2009 ones

It's been hard to get back into drawing and enjoying it after last year struggling in my product drawing class at uni. I lost my confidence in drawing and my folio sucked even though i produced more than enough drawings they were crap i just passed the subject due to that fact i attended everyclass and submitted the folio on time. I felt horrible the whole reason for me doing industrial design was because i could draw cars and motorbikes and stuff and i loved it. In highschool i was more confident with my drawings and worked really hard and improved where i needed to, but in uni everyhting changed. I was having a hard time fitting in and this effected me alot and i also compared my work to others too much which was a big mistake. I can draw and i can do it well if i say "you know what F*** it, i don't care what people think" My drawing lecturer was really tough on everyone and very picky, but did it really matter what my grade was and weather it was a great example of good or bad work in front of the class? NO!!. I realised now it doesn't matter about my grade so much, and how much my work got critised as being messy and having too many lines, what matters most is i don't let it get to me and keep drawing and keep improving and keep trying after all Rome wasn't built in a day

So plenty more drawings to come!!!!
