Blame Ashley.

Music that:
*Reminds you of an ex: "Anything, Anything" by Dramarama. My ex tortured me with that song. Seriously. One day he decided to not let me sleep, and he'd crank it until the floor shook every time I dozed off. I took it back, though. Now when I hear it I get a face-splitting grin, because after the fighting and storming out of the apartment I drove to my friend's hotel and had some of the best sex of my life. So THERE.
*Reminds you of an ex friend: "Wanna Be A Baller" by Lil'Troy.
*Makes you cry: "The Sweetest Embrace" by Barry Adamson & Nick Cave
*Makes you laugh: "Gold Digger" by Kanye West
*You never want to hear again: Angelspit "100%"
*You want to get married to: The Police "Every Breath You Take". It's not a fucking love song. It's overplayed at weddings because people think it is, but it's not. It's a song about obsession, which fits most of my romances. So it's appropriate for my wedding, but probably not 90% of the others.
*You like to wake up to: The Strong Bad remix of "Du Hast"
*You like out of your parents collection: The Eagles.
*Wouldn’t know about if it weren’t for a friend: Most of my music collection at this point can be traced back to friends.
*You want at your funeral: I honestly don't know. Manson, obviously. I'd like the ceremony to be a little more somber but the party afterward definitely has to be upbeat. You can be sad that I'm not here anymore, but you definitely need to be happy that I got to leave and to celebrate the happy I brought people when I was here. Pick accordingly. Don't be afraid to be really ridiculous (Electric Six's "Gay Bar" comes to mind.)

Last person whoÂ
*Slept in your bed besides you? : Probably my little brother. I'm in his room since he moved out and as he didn't take the bed with him, this is his. Though the last person who slept in a bed with me was Nick.
*Saw you cry?: Lukas
*You talked on the phone?: Nick
*Said I love you to and really meant it?: Filth.
*Broke your heart?:
*Made you laugh?: This guy I abuse who shall remain nameless.

Would you rather?...
*Pierce your nose or tongue?: I'd split my tongue before I'd pierce it. I'm sure I'd do a number on my teeth with a tongue stud with as orally fixated as I am. At least splitting it I could play without hurting anything.
*Be serious or be funny?: There's a highly variable time and place for everything.
*Drink whole or skim milk?: Whole. I continue to insist that skim milk is just cloudy water.
*Die in a fire or drown?: Technically you die of smoke inhalation before the flames reach you. Both are painful, unpleasant deaths. I'm planning on dying in my sleep or of an intentional overdose decades from now.
*Spend time with your parents or enemies?: Enemies. I learn more from them.

Are youÂ
*Simple or complicated?: Complicated.
*Hardcore?: FUCK YEAH. Which means, probably not.

Do you prefer….
*Flowers or candy?: Depends on what kinds of flowers/candy we're talking about.
*Gray or black?: Black.
*Lust or love?: Lust, for now.
*Sunrise or sunset?: Sunset. Sunrise means it's bedtime.
*M&Ms or Skittles?: Oh, tough. I'm liking the almond M&Ms, or the dark chocolate ones. But the berry Skittles are great.
*Staying up late or waking up early?: Waking up early fucking sucks. I was up at 10:30 today and 11 yesterday and I'm not happy about either of them. Tomorrow I have to be up at 7 and I may just stay up and go to bed at 11am instead. Fucking work schedule.

Answer truthfully!
*Do you like anyone?: Yes.
*Do they know it?: Yes.

Do you preferÂ
*Sun or moon?: Moon.
*Winter or fall?: I like fall as a season better than winter except that if it's winter, spring is closer, because I fucking hate winter. Fall would mean I still had to go through winter.
*Sun or rain?: Sun, but I don't like to be in it. I just like to see it outside, not touching me. Rain for too long is depressing. Fuck Ohio, too.
*Vanilla or chocolate ice cream?: Pff. Twist.
*Vodka or Jack?: Vodka, I guess. Not a huge fan of either.

About you….
*What time is it?: 12:07am
*Name?: Manzin
*Nicknames?: Boy. And, embarrassingly enough, Manzi-poo.
*Where were you born?: Ohio
*What is your birthdate?: Dec 12
*What do you want?: I WANNA ROCK.
*Where do you want to live?: NYLA
*How many kids do you want?: Of my own? None. Ever. But I call most of my fan-friend-types "kids", so. Maybe I have dozens.
*What would you want to name a girl?:
*What would you want to name a boy?:
*You want to get married?: I think at this point I just want a ring and a ceremony and a party, but "marriage" as an institution is probably not for me.

UniqueÂ
*Ner...

Why do people with boring snapshots feel the need to put a huge copyright watermark over them? I saw a photo on the front page today that was just a shot somebody took of a street sign. There was a blue sky and trees behind it. That was all. Anyone could've taken it. There was nothing special about it, it was barely a stock photo. But there was a huge block letter watermark that went across the entire photo because HELL FORBID someone might steal your shitty little photo and use it for something.

People take my photos and stick them on their MySpaces or whatever. I consider it a compliment that someone thought something I did was special enough to take and print out for their locker or their room or to use it as a base for their own art. If I ever did put a watermark on my photos, it'd be a small site link iand photographer credit n the bottom corner. Inconspicuous. Quiet. Not across the entire photo where it'd ruin the shot. What is the goddamn point of that?

If you're that fucking worried about somebody stealing your precious little shot or idea, DON'T PUT IT ONLINE. How fucking hard is it?

I've never used my journal here, but now I'm compelled to. They moved my "Once Bitten" out of Macabre/Horror into scraps. I'm not sure what isn't macabre/horror about a recent victim of a vampire, but fine. Now it's in Expressive, where it can be Expressively Macabre and Horrific. I'm only offended because I've seen photos far more badly placed than mine, and I feel that my photo was mishandled.

But what the fuck do I know. I'm not much of a model and not much of a photographer, but one Hell of a deviant. Evidently a deviant with a somewhat unorthodox idea of what constitutes the macabre.

ma·ca·bre
Pronunciation: \mə-ˈkäb; -ˈkä-brə, -bər; -ˈkäbrə\
Function: adjective
Etymology: French, from (danse) macabre dance of death, from Middle French (danse de) Macabré
Date: 1889

1 : having death as a subject : comprising or including a personalized representation of death
2 : dwelling on the gruesome
3 : tending to produce horror in a beholder

http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/macabre/

I'm reminded that the key to being a good artist is a healthy dose of torture, if not actual torture than the feeling that you're being misunderstood, judged unfairly, and otherwise persecuted for who and what you are. I expect to have a Featured Deviation any day now. Fuckers.

Kidding. I'm kidding.
