Other news, I now have a position reserved for me at Wanganui School of Design~ YAAY~~ We're just waiting on my NCEA results (pretty sure I've got level 3) so I'll be needing to upgrade my work station (my comp is so slow and freezes every 2 secs when I draw.) so I'm considering getting a Macbook Pro for compatibility to the course. So it's gonna cost me.... around $3000-$4000.... *gulp* I'm too afraid to touch a Macbook air cause I feel like I'll snap it in half lol. ~~I'm so hulk~~

*Deep breathe* Hello, I am a person. I try to be polite with others. Some people say it's kindness, I think of it as politeness. When people are polite, kind or helpful, I think they are cool. Therefore I be kind towards them. I like to show my appreciation of how 'cool' people are when they do nice things. But when you are inconsiderate of others, take advantage of good will or say pointless things to start drama, I stop being kind. My politeness might stay, but when your negative actions continue, ~~Ima pop a cap in yo a$$ ho~~ I might also stop being polite too.
I'm sure it is natural for people to think/feel this way, yet why do so little people understand that it works that way? *Sigh*

(Cause there probably won't be any other chance for me to cosplay with Mitsuru-senpai before she goes to Italy. B-but that means we can't play our 'Arrivideci' game anymore!!

Farewell High School

Time does fly when you're having fun~ (Warning: sappy journal entry ahead)
I had my last day of high school yesterday (half day) and then had the prizing giving at night. I was really happy that I made so many great friends and so many happy memories that it was hard to be sad when I had done and gained so much~~

Our school's tradition is for the 7th to come dress up on the last day of school, I went as Halloween town Roxas~

I've been wanting to wear that fella for ages. I had to fix quite a bit of it the night before, its amazing how crappy my sewing was back then! 8D And I got the wings to stay up~ (safety pins FTW lol)
The other students kept yelling, "Woah it's Sora!" I lol'd. Half the year got suspended from school grounds till 6:30pm (the prizing giving) for shaving creaming people, it was funny~~

And it turns out that if you get a cup/trophy etc. you don't get to keep let along take it home. You get your photo taken, they give you the photo, there. ~~stingy bastards..~~
Prize giving was boring as usual, principal's speech went for ages, but I enjoyed the speech from our Head girl & boy (it made the whole year laugh and it perfectly summed up our 5 years together~~)

It wasn't till after prizing giving and the reports were handed out that I realised that there was a sad side to leaving and I cried, so glad it wasn't in the presence of all the other classmates (which I <3 dearly, all 50+ of them, I'm GONNA MISS YOU GUYS!!) I stood awkwardly on a concrete step and fell, my ankle hurt like hell and I scrapped both knees, but all good~ (will cover knees with make up if I cosplay as character without pants, it looks gross lol) My friend then said something so sweet and thoughtful that it triggered the tears. ~~Damnit Grace!!~~

So now I'm on Study leave and have exams coming up~
I'm also waiting on replies from a School of Design & Massey so they can set a date for an interview, lets not screw those up...

Otaku Life

I've converted 5 friends into yaoi fangirls 8D And apparently our school has/had a yaoi club with me as the president, sucks it was only for what, a week? lol
My friend let me borrow Persona 3 (in exchange for the yaoi) but it froze right after the 3rd save point! (so annoyed..) I spent about an hour restarting the console to go back in the game and tried to get into the 2nd freakin' floor of Tartarus, but it just keeps freezing!! I'm so pissed that I'm gonna buy a new copy of the game, even though I spent all my money on materials for Agito/Akito and paid off 5 wigs... b-but, I wanna see more of Minato & Akihiko!! (can't stop loling at Akihiko's over-the-shoulder stylez)

Cosplay Area

Oh, the reason I borrowed Persona 3 (not only cause I've wanted that game for ages) was cause my friend is cosplaying as Mitsuru for Wellygeddon. (one on the left)

So I said I'd cosplay as Minato (right) with her, but not at Wellygeddon, just sometime before she leaves for Italy. ~~DON'T GO KAHU!! ATLEAST TAKE ME WITH YOU, WE CAN STALK HOT MAFIA GUYS TOGETHER!!~~

Auckgeddon report, I know, skip it, you know you want to 8DD

Saturday:

The temperature was BURNING. Soo glad I was being Akane that day. It was great seeing all the guys from the forums~~! I LUVS YOU ALL!!
The line for geddon was CRAZY!! I can't believe how long it stretched.

What I snagged at geddon: (brought most things on the first day cause I knew I wouldn't be able to do it the other days/other outfits)
- Ouran manga vol. 9-14 (I'm sorry ~thornback!! I still lubs yoouuuu~~!)
- Fake manga box set
- Blood+ manga vol. 1-4 & Blood+ Adigio I & II
- Aoi House vol. 2
- Tsubasa anime vol. 6 (damnit! it was vol. 5 that had the ep where Oruha sings!)
- Air Gear vol. 6
- bookmarks & Tsuna badge from ~pd-inc
- an a3 poster filled with bishies (darn, should've got her DA username, her art is so good~~)

Later at night the guys in the hotel room give me a suprise birthday cake (Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww~~ I'm so greatful to have such awesome friends~~) Nathan gave me the CLAMP Code Geass Artbook!! Drooooooooooooollllll~~~~~~ *Chamosia gave me a yaoi manga for my bday and all the roommates shared it around LOL everyone couldn't stop laughing about all the graphic scenes in it XDD

Sunday:

Cosplay Chess & Cosplay games! Definitely my highlight of Auckgeddon~~
~reddo-yuki did my make up that day, so when I look back at the photos I think 'man, should've asked Ana to do my make up for all 3 days lol'.
In the room for the cosplay games, the front row chairs had the name of the characters that were participating in the games, and I found this awesome a4:[link] I feel so special~~ Thank you ~s-in-c!! The chibis heads are soo cute!!
As *4ever-in-a-dream has mentioned, we came 2nd in the Otaku quiz (we represented NCIS! = North (central) Island Syndicate) Wooot~!

Masquerade Ball
was fun~~ The bands were pretty good! And the congo line was fun~ There was a Prof. Stein! I'll upload the photo later, maybe.. (my face was completely red after that on-going congo, haha)
And Kitten Slave looks better in a dress than I do .____. ~~but I'm practically a boy without a penis lol~~

Monday: Competition Day!

I couldn't stay to go up on stage cause I had to catch my plane back, but WOW!! Those entries were amazing!!
There was quite a bit of 'disapproval' on the comp etc. from some of the onlookers and such, but pfft, whatever! I thought the judges made the right decisions! They've been working their butts off to sort out this n that, I sometimes get the feeling our lovely judges don't get the appreciation they deserve.
And seeing everyone's crazy outfits has inspired/pushed me to go crazy on the next Wellygeddon comp!

We ended up going to the airport early (oh yea, sorry about the mess we left at the hotel room ~Kyokyogirl)and sat around and had a good laugh at the Dunkin' Donuts packaging LOL (but seriously, one bite of those donuts, and we all jizzed in our pants XDD)
Then ~AzureWolf2 introduced Nathan & Jake the beauty of a McDonald's cheese burger with chocolate sauce lol

Holy cow, I'm just about to finish Soul's suit for the ball.
(I was gonna do Magnet!Kaito - Vocaloid for the ball, but cause Laura Bailey is coming to geddon (don't even know if she'll be at the ball lol) but yeah, I just <3 Soul~~)

It was HELL on Saturday to get stuff for Soul!! I saw 2+ pin-stripe blazers in the 2nd hand store last week, so I thought I'd buy that and just make the pants from what was left of Ciel's butt.
Buuuuuuuuuut they all got sold and I searched all over palmy for one and couldn't find anything, I was so pissed that I HAD to make that suit just to spite my luck. And on that same day, every fabric store palmy had ALSO ran out of pin-stripe suiting.
What I found was this dark grey stuff that'd be used for Jack Skellington's outfit, but either way, I gots me fabric 8DD (and atleast it'll be dark?)

It took half the weekend to do Soul (8-9ish hours)
And I had to hack Kantaro's wig up to get the spikes to actually stay up. It still sorta looks like a bob wig, but it's only for a night (and maybe halloween if I get lazy)
My 22nd costume, woot~~

Syaoran's current status: 85% (?)
Just need to:
- style the wig
- add 2 crosses to the cape
- do the rest of the sword (I'm using Ichiru's sword, Thankies Jay~~, made the base of the sheath, need to do the designs and the 4 tassle thingys, not what you think they look like btw)

So far what's gonna happen at geddon:
Saturday- Akane Higurashi from Mai-HiME
- taking a plane up to Auckland at 5-6am, should be at geddon by 9am-ish
- Photoshoot with Static - 11:30am (Wonderwoman of Photography 8D)

Sunday- Ciel Phantomhive & ~AzureWolf2 as my Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji (one of the best B'day presents ever~~ I get a Sebastian~~ XDD)
- Cosplay chess - 10am, ~AzureWolf2 will be fighting with me on the same square lol
(afterwards there'll be caramelldansen~~)
- Cosplay Games with the HOST CLUB <33 - 2am in the Dubbed Screening Room 2 (I'll be taking part in the games and partnering up with ~4ever-in-a-dream, cheer us on guys!!)
- Masq. Ball as Soul Eater Evans from Soul Eater

Crap, the Soul Eater screening with Laura Bailey and cosplay chess is on at the sametime.... cosplay chess, it's gotta be the cosplay chess >__<

Monday- Syaoran (clone) from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle
- Competition Judging 11am
- Cosplay Competition on Stage at 4:15pm (PLEASE BE ON TIME, I HAVE A FLIGHT TO CATCH STRAIGHT AFTERWARDS, I DON'T WANNA MISS OUT ON WHEN THEY ANNOUNCE THE WINNER FOR THE CUP!!)

- 85% done with Ciel, just need to do his frilly neck ruffle, buttons & buttons holes (NOOOO!), the extra stuff on his collar and a pimp cane.

Finished and had an Awesome photoshoot with Static, and JP's stalking on the side lol Can't wait to see the photos!!

~~- Gotta make ball dress... Ball is next Saturday.~~

- Has Textiles assessment, why do all the machines at school HATE ME?!

- Re-doing Akane's uniform, cause the vest looks like crap, might give the blazer another shot.

- Will probably start competition outfit in the next school holidays.
Now doing Gilbert Nightray/ Raven from Pandora Hearts (I may be too girly for him, but I do love him~ Gil's probably the most manly character I've pick, lol )

- Application for School of Design, can't really do that until I've finished the entry requirements, and probably need to wait till I get enough credits for level 3. (I'm so close!)

- I'm about 65% through my AMV for the Auckgeddon comp, it looks quite messy, but I'm quite happy about the turn out~
(cause my computer ish slow, it takes 5 mins to load, and the program REGULARLY freezes, which takes 5 mins to close. Basically, IT'S PISSING ME OFF!!

- 5 Hat commissions (won't being taking anymore orders until I finish my costumes for geddon, and they'll probably be going up in price after this batch too...)

Oh, and apparently the judges were questioned about the Wearable Arts placings, LMAO! (but I do agree, I don't think the entry that got the overall runner-up should've bet the Mermaid, she was EPIC!!)

I'm entering another Wearable Arts comp in August. *hides*
BUT this is with Ciel's outfit! So I just gotta turn up on the night! It's not an extra work load! I talked to the person in charge about Ciel and categories and they gave me the OK.

I did say I wanted to cosplay as KHR for Auckgeddon a couple of months back and after catching up on the ep, all the KHR love just came flowing back so yaa..

I'll be wearing him on the 2nd day, and Ciel will be just worn for the ball.
(Which now tempts me to skip Fran's pants, skip Ciel's pimp cane lol and not take Ciel's gigantic butt - for luggage purposes)

So I've nearly finished 1 of the Wearble Arts outfits, just need to make a clock key and add some gears to the back of the vest. Pretty freaked out about my friends outfit, I couldn't get the tops finished cause so many plans of meeting up with her got cancelled. ~~Though I do feel like I'm having to do more than her on this thing... <_____<~~

I've started on Ciel, hoping I'll be able to get the base of his jacket/coat thingy done before Friday.
Just realised that it's gonna cost me to get another wig for Fran (not even gonna bother with his contacts! It's so hard to get solid contacts in NZ!!)

Oh, that's right. I got one of the main roles in the school production~ It's Will's Twins. I got the part of Billy, which is also Lysander (when I asked to be Billy I didn't realise they were the same guy, double the lines! *facepalm* )
a-hahahaha..... 38 lines.... half of them are freaking love poems.....
oh boy, I'm sweating big time with this one, I've never been in a play with so many lines! (old english even!)
And my character is required to tackle/roll around on floor with one of the other male cast and grope/be groped by the female cast, this will be interesting, lol

I seem to be throwing myself into every event that's been happening this year, I guess it's that whole High school to Uni thing that's pushing me to do these things cause I feel like I won't be able to do them later.
I guess it's also cause I'm the type of person who would rather regret doing something instead of regretting that I didn't do it, the regret is intensified quite extremely lol

So we've got 7 people spliting into 2 bedrooms, SO EXCITED!!
I've changed my mind on Ciel's outfit and will be doing a dark blue suit with a gigantic white butt, and hopefully a skull pimp cane lol.
I might switch Ciel to the first day cause it'd mean less to put into the suit case if I wear it on the plane... but I reallllly wanna be Ciel for the Cosplay Chess (if they actually go through with it.)

And also, I'm currently making an AMV for geddon~~ just remembering last year brings a smile to my face~~
The AMV contest should run for about an hour, y/y? (starts at 5)
I was just thinking that we might wanna have dinner before going to the masquerade ball, which starts at 7.

It's one of my most beloved manga cause its soo funny!! And they turned it into a drama! BUT they made Taro... not pretty, and switched the manager for a girl!
Don't turn it into a lovey-dovey drama! It takes away the headdesk-character!!

~~Cause one of them acted like a bitch, she was insulting the music department and looked like she had a stick up her ass the whole day, no way was I gonna greet her~~

Now there's only 8 weeks before Wearable Arts, and we got word that the garden-hoe contestant will be entering AGAIN! (WE'RE GONNA TAKE YOU DOWN, YOU CHEATING SONOFA-)
She wasn't meant to enter last year, but she sign up with someone elses name and the judges couldn't prove that it was her work so she got away with it, BUT NOT WITH FIRST PLACE HAHA!!
(crazy people are crazy)
But whether or not she's entering, Stacey and I are gonna OWN~~!!
Cause my friend said that if you just win your category it's like a ticket into any art school in NZ!!!

I jumped out of bed and threw on the school uniform, and a skirt button flew off! Lucky there's 2 buttons on the skirt (the 2nd button felt very awkward...) so I ran down to the bus stop and was LUCKY AS HELL to have the best bus driver in the world~!!!!
He waited for me while the other forkers were screaming "Who the hell are we waiting for?!" (the brats on my bus need to meet Keiichi's baseball bat).
And cause the brats listen to loud, and extremely shit quality from a cellphone audio recording, Crap, I reached into my bag for headphones and realised I forgot them, along with my stylus that I needed for a class.
*sigh* whatever, atleast I made it on the bus.

Was chaos, but I still live~
My textiles assessment is now due in the 3rd week, yay~
(I completely wiped it out of my mind that I needed to make that dress before school started again. Ignore the last journal...)

For the cosplays, (this is a LOAD of thinking out loud.) I REALLY wanna do Mai Tokiha from Mai-HiME~~ (it's meant to be her name damnit, as in princess Mai)
But there's a Kuroshitsuji group on Saturday, and I've got Ciel set for the Sakura Fest. (but when your outfit is gonna get compared to the Christchurchgeddon winning outfit, it sorta makes me think twice -intimidated- )

And then there's Sunday, there's a Vampire Knight group (quite a big one too) so I'd love to take Ichiru up there, but I wanted to cosplay as Okita Sougo from Gintama... Why must it be sooo hard?!?!! (but that sorta helps us clear the issue of looking like a terrorist on the plane with the rocket launcher)

I still haven't found an outfit for the competition either (Mai's outfit would be a bit simple, though its the winter uniform plus the HiME rings. Or I could be Gintoki... (as long as it's Gintama)
I might reconsider Alicia from Valkyrie Profile 2, but I want a character that I'm REALLY hardcore for! There's no point in being a character you don't like, right?
(it's not that I don't like Alicia, I just don't have much love for her lol maybe I should start playing the game again...)
My friend told me to be Rush from The Last Remnant, but I haven't played it (I REALLY wanna play it, but I don't have a xbox 360.)

There's the possibility of Agito/Akito, but roller skates are gonna be ~~difficult~~ dangerous.

Even with Wellygeddon over I have to make a lolita dress for a textiles assessment. (the teacher was kind enough to let me skip level 1 & 2 cause I cosplay, so I've got tons to catch up on

And straight after that I gotta start on the Wearable arts outfit (2 words: STEAM PUNK!!) we're gonna raid a car yard or something parts

Then I'm gonna make my dress (I want a suit) for the school ball.
Then Sakura Fest, and back to Auckgeddon, so thats... about 7-8 outfits in 6 months. oh crap lol

Now for my life:
I have now quit Psychology because the stress was just too much, perhaps it was the timing of the work with geddon etc.
But I only took it for self interest and I'm replacing it with Graphics/animation/design assessments so no biggy~

And I've got 5 other subjects that count towards UE, woot~
(And the teacher said that tons of people usually drop out anyway.)

And a really awesome friend (tis' you Kaname-senpai) suggested going to Sydney Supernova in June, it's sooo tempting!!! But I'd only have enough money for plane tickets over there.

I talked to another friend about it and he invited me to head over to the NEW YORK ANIME FESTIVAL!!!!!!!
I was frothing at the mouth!!!
One of his parents live in NY and he's rich so HE can, so I just yelled abuse at him for getting my hopes up and we just laughed about it.
But it's on the to-do list...

TWO MONTHS, WELLYGEDDON!!! TWO MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta make FOUR costumes IN TWO MONTHS!!!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooooo stressed and worried I won't get them done in time.
I've started the VK uniforms and found out that I'll be needing 5-6 metres of fabric, I brought 8m thinking I'd only need 4 and give the rest to Larry to make her uniform.
I'M SO SO SOOOOO SORRYYYYYYYYYY!

I've planned both uniforms to be done by the 20th of Feb, giving me about 40 days to work on BOTH competition outfits.
(YAY I've FINALLY decided who to be~~~~~)

I will be Kantarou Ichinomiya from Tactics, and asked ~AzureWolf2 to be my ~~servant~~ Haruka~
He's gonna make the wings, weapon and get hold of a wig.
(Thank you sooo very very much, I thought I was gonna commit harakiri if you didn't offer your hands~~~)

But cause these kimonos are soo huge I had to get about 25m+ of fabrics, thank god the store was still having the everything half off sale!!!! ARTHUR TOYES ROCKS MY WORLD 8DDDD!

It was so frickin' frustrating when I was looking at fabric, this ones not dark enough, this ones see through, why the hell don't they have this in a lighter shade?!
When I brought half of the stuff, dragging it all around to find the rest of the stuff felt like 5 balls & chains to my arms.

I still need to buy all the accessories for all 4 costumes, which is where trade me comes in~

And I could've stayed in Palmy to pick up glasses, which I now won't be getting until SATURDAY!!!

Anyway, the whole family is going up to Auckland for Chinese New Years, while I'll be home alone, YAY~!

I wanna announce who/what I'm cosplaying as but I'm on thin ice with it, so I don't want everyone to expect it then go 'awww....' when I don't show up with it. Lol.

All I can say, is that quite a few cosplayers are doing that series on both days, so why not do this fella this year.

I've been thinking about investing into some photography equipment, just getting me a couple of filters to play around with, so if anyones an expert give me some advise on which filters to get and where I can get them.

Currently looking at diffusers & light balancing filters.

And maybe I'll get a 46-58mm step up ring cause you can't get many filters for 46mm cameras.

Christmas was OK, better than last.
But the entire time I was in Rotorua I said in my head: "We should have a cosplay photo shoot here/there!"

I've booked a 6 persons room and I need to know whose gonna be in those beds!!!

Cause right now I think there's too many people saying they'll be coming, but from the looks of things the extras are gonna sort out your own accommodation.

There was a small year 9 class in there with Hamster and the teacher. I left the room for not even 5 minutes to give Larrie my Ouran uniform to borrow and come back to find my cellphone missing!!!

I looked everywhere and I couldn't find. Then the teacher said that one of the students could have taken it so we did a little search, and SOMEONE straight-forwardly offered to empty his pockets and bag.

Still no phone, after a while of search our counselor and deputy principal came in to have a talk with the class. The counselor said that if someone has a clue on where the phone is then we'll say it was 'miss placed'.
I tried calling it but the art has crap reception. Then (as smart as I am.) Checked Hamster's bluetooth on his phone.
"It's in the room!"
Then deputy told everyone to stay in the room, and said that after 10 more mins of searching he'd get the police and their parents in to do a warranted search.
(If it wasn't MY-expensive-as-hell-precious Kuji-kun missing, I would have thought it was going to far, lol.)

5 mins later, the phone was found on the floor near the sinks. When the teacher handed it over to it was still warm, "Miss, it's still warm, who are you covering for?"
She told me to hush, and let the students go off to their next class.

Turns out it was the guy that welcomed the search (I knew it was you, you kidnapping son of a-) Miss saw him crouch down by the sinks on the side WITHOUT cupboards (dumbass...) Me and Hamster already searched that part of the room.
We don't have evidence he did it, but everyone knows it, even the deputy.

I would let him off cause I got reunited with my beautiful baby, BUT the deputy said: "Not to freak you out, but could you go to my office and get the tissues and spray by my computer. I've dealt with quite a bit of these situations with drugs, and usually they hide it in to their underwear."

Moving a side, I've nearly finished the Syaoran costume! Just gotta add 2 belts and some buttons to the pants and attach the belt thingy to the cape. It's alot heavier than expected!
Larries nearly finished with Pillar-kun, OMG she stuffed the tail! It's gonna be so freaking cute!
Oba-chan can't make it, and I don't think Ana & Chinatsu are gonna cosplay, oh well, it'll still be fun!
(I'm gonna suffocate under that cape if it was as hot as yesterday.)

Something about me... hmm...
1) I was given a latex arm, as a gift. It's mounded so perfectly that it's creepy. It's just sitting there... in my room...

2) Everytime I talk on the phone, I've always been mistaken to be a guy. Don't blame them, lol.

3) My dream job is to be a manga artist or land a job in japan working with anime. (But that sounds like the path of a starving artist, lol.)

So

& I went up to Mt. Ruapehu(sp?) and it was epic!!!
We went snowboarding!!!
We had to wait in line for a while, and because we didn't get lift passes we got tired ALOT, it was still friggin awesome!
I had never been skiing or snowboarding so it was that's much more fun. We all went smush into the snow cause we didn't know how to stop probably, so it really hurt. And the snow was NOT soft!
It was practically ice!!!
But being surrounded by snow, we thought it'd be freezing, but the weather was about as cold as any usual cloudy day.
The view was great, we got to see over the clouds, soooo pretty~
If anyone goes up there, rent ski pants at all cost! Normal pants soak and your butt goes numb, I was afraid that I'd get frost bite!

My snowboard kept targeting people, so when I was about 5m away I had to push my board off the snow and land myself in it. I think I'll rent a helmet too next time.

~ Man, I've really been slacking off, I can't believe schools starting so soon already! I still have to do the wearable arts outfit and I said I'd get about 3 pictures painted for the art board, NOOOOOOO!!!!

My latest cosplay-related project is an entry for a Wearable Arts Contest.
I can't show the design for it (cause its completely changed) but
I might put up some WIP photos.
Making a corset made me a little nervous, and using a
floppy stencil = an hour of painting.
But me and my partner (Stacey) should be able to pull it off.

Hopefully we'll get a placing and can pay her Mum back for paying
for materials... (never have I spent so much on a costume... and I'm
just paying for half of it!)
And I will be crossdressing in a prince like outfit to match the
dress-like design. (I'm one of the designers, not actually the model
so I'm just looking for an excuse to dress up, lol)

In other news, my principal has arranged a mentor in
graphics design and animation(apparently) for me. The person
also has ties with Weta Workshops, so...
I don't know how I'm meant to feel, I'm happy as hell that I was
lucky enough to be given a chance like this but what happens to
my other plans of going to the Wanganui School of Design?
And I really wanted to do 2-D animation from the beginning
(all for the sake of anime)
I guess I'll just go with the flow and see what happens...
Oh, and the guy that's gonna be my mentor is the same person
that started the Amazing Maze and owner of Spooks(? vague idea,
it's haunted themed house thingy in Auckland).
Makes me sorta...

While working on the wearable arts outfit, the
'I wanna be' song came on and my eyes went watery.

I pictured a guy half beaten to death in the middle
of a field of monster/beast things. The song plays
and he looked like he was about to give up and die,
then the beat of the song picks up and the guy says
something heroic and holds up his weapon and starts
going on a last killing rampage through the monsters
with a huge smile.
But in the end the hero dies when the song tones down.
(I guess that's just how my mind works, lol)

MonoChrome Factor caught my eye and it rocks!
But I seriously thought Shirogane was a woman.
Then I heard his voice... so he is a very pretty man, lol

I went back to watching Blood+ and I wonder why
I stopped watching it?!
And OMG!!! RIKU!!!!!!

Cosplayers unite! again!

I found out about this last friday and wanted to go in another costume so...
I made a full school uniform (male, of course, lol) in four days (about the same time it took for the Ouran uniform.) This time I made pants too, yay!
(Wow, this is the 4th uniform I've made... Cafe, Ouran, Exorcist...)

I got the glasses from a $2 shop and I ordered the wig and contacts from Trade Me, I reaaaally hope that wig comes in time... and I hope it doesn't turn out that its actually blonde...

and Chinatsu(japanese exchange student) are also tagging along. We might head over to the square before the picnic, my fabric buddy (one of the store workers at ArthurToyes) wanted to see some photos from Geddon and our costumes.

Haruhi on the first day (could someone send me a photo of me on the first day, I don't have any good ones...)
The bus ride wasn't bad, I travelled with , Lorraine, my brother Ricky and Olivia(she only travelled down with us, didn't attend geddon.)
Some people's cellphones keep going off, and the fact that the person they were txting was right next to them was a little on the negative side. *shakes fist at Reno & Kanda!!!*

Once we got off, we practically ran all the way to the TSB Area cause it was noon already(dont ever run in high heeled boots. EVER). I was really surprised with how many cosplayers there were on the first day.
We had fun running about raiding stalls, harrasing/scarying cosplayers with my love for them & their characters. There was a little confusion at the hotel, I thought I had already paid for the room, turns out I didn't. Thank you sooo much !!!

Went to the AMV contest, and my entry got through yay! I didn't come anywhere, but I was overjoyed just to have a room filled of people watch my amv without me pointing a gun at them, woot!

I got to hear Lisa Furukawa sing and her voice was absolutely beautiful. I recorded some of Every Heart & Passion. (Might not upload Passion on youtube cause I started singing along in the middle...)

Then watched the Death Note Movie! The audience loved it when L was playing with his food. Such a silly cutie.

Afterwards, had dinner at McD's and back to the Hotel.
finished off the rest of her costume and I drew up new signs for the next day. Which we never wore...

Second Day:

Lavi on the second day. (Kan-chan helped me put on my boots and spike up my hair. Lol)

Only slept for about 5 hours, I guess my excitement didn't let me off the hook.
We were sharing our room with a stranger (guest to be polite), she got really annoyed with us cause we were up so early putting on costumes and running in and out of the room.
Apparently there was a group of people down the hall that were also going to armageddon. They kept poking their head outside their room when we made a fuss about parts of our costume.

Just arrived at 'geddon and some cosplayers asked us to join in with the caramell dance! That was fun! (Arms got tired cause I was dancing with the hammer.)

And it turns out another friend of ours is taking the same bus down to Wellington (too bad shes not going to 'geddon)

Though I've finished my exorcist uniform, is extremely far from done.

Wow, I just finished the AMV entry for -geddon and just sent it in today. And I have to admit I'm quite happy about the turn out. One of the best AMVs I've created.
I won't be able to post it on Youtube (might just post it on Veoh, better quality) until after the con... or when I eventually remember to afterwards.

My Lavi cosplay has been going well, I've got the sleeves & collar on the jacket. And I'm really proud, cause this is the first time I've sewn sleeves and collars *wipes sweat off forehead*.
The jacket looks beautiful!!! might need to fix a sleeve though...
I've still got to add some more line details and the giant cross on the back.

After the jacket I have another belt to make (that makes ten) and add 2 butt-bags to it.
Then theres the headband and I think that's it... oh and I'll be cutting my hair and dying it red, woot!

and I will be doing a skit together and it requires alot of moving, so I'm a little worried about that. Anyone whose entering the competition that has a video camera please record our skit and put it on Youtube or something, I really want to re-watch it. Cause it's going to be painful. (Oh my physical behalf and Kanda's pride, lol )
I've also been helping with her sword. Our art teacher let us make it in class, with a little chocolate compensation.

Also we've dragged a couple of people to -geddon with us.

YAY! I have finally finished the Lavi jacket! I keep wearing it cause the weathers on a bit of a low later. And cause its pretty. ^_____^
I just need to find me a button for it though...
Now all that's left is the headband, belt + bags and getting my hair cut and bleached. WOOT!

Straight after that, I'll start on the Ouran uniform for the first day of the Con. It'll be either Haruhi or Hikaru, depends how light my hair turns out...

Darn, the holidays will be ending soon... And its just been crazy around Bulls, yesterday the fire siren went off FOUR times!!! the day before that was 2-3 times and it went off today as well. Yessh...

Anyway, last Sunday I went in to town with to get materials for Armageddon. YAY! I HAVE VINYL!!! AND IT DIDN'T COST OVER $100!!! So happy about that. We High-fived twice in the store when we saw the price tag, teehee.
But cause we brought the entire roll, I'm a little freaked out about not having enough fabric. (I got half a metre less than what I need. T.T )
But there's a chance I'll have JUST enough... hopefully.

I've started sewing. I did a mock-up of the pants and jacket... and I'm praying the actual outfit is ALOT better, lol. (if it's just a mock-up, I don't think twice when sewing...)
And I can't use ribbon on my outfit when using it for the line details. So I'm gonna have to cut it out of white vinyl(might get a little crooked), and if thats not bad enough, I CAN'T sew the white vinyl on the black vinyl, cause the machine moves the black vinyl 'further' than the white, so the black gathers together and looks terrible.
That means I gotta HAND SEW every white detail!!! And theres lots of it!!!
(I don't like hand sewing cause I'm slow at it. Half an hour = about 20 cm/pathetic...)
But after 8 also hours, probably 9ish, I've nearly finished 1 line on the pants (had to sew the left and right side of the line.) Now I've got to do that 3 more times on both sides of each leg on the trousers. Yay...
And theres a friggin cross across the back of the jacket. So glad I started early, lol

But its a good game, and there alots of things associated with the other SH games.

Hmm, 3 cosplay outfits, drawn alot of pictures (11 CGs), learnt how to use Photoshop, extended my anime/manga collection into the 3 digits range, starting to control my anger(makes me sound like I have a problem, lol) and got my learner's... by only saying the things I can think of from the top of head, I'm pretty happy about what I've achieved, lol
But talking about the academic stuff, being the top business student of my year and nailing Science is pretty cool too. (Monopoly... you know who I'm talking to... < . < )

So what are my goals for next year...
* Upping 50 pictures (Pretty big goal, ne?)
* 2 Cosplay outfits
* Finish atleast 3 - 4 games (I keep getting new games, but I never finish them...)
* Getting pass lvl 50 on MapleStory (I'm the worst at training)
* Get a new shelf for DVDs (been complaining about that ever since after my raid at the Welly-gedon stalls ^^)
* Get my eyes checked, and probably have to get glasses...
* RE-RE-RE-finalise the Sakura Tree story (I've been working on that story for how many years...?)
* Become first in some other subject school (I'm doing it for the gift vouchers I get with the certificate, its not a crime...)
* Get somewhere in the next cosplay competition

Quite a list. It gives me something to do though, lol.

I'm working on a picture, not sure when it'll be done. It's been given the name that 'Huggy stabby' picture by friends. My parents gave me a bit of a weird look when they saw the lineart.

As I said before, its Lavi from D.gray-man. I'll be making his second Exorcist uniform. (I squealed at the top of my lungs when I first saw it on the manga, and screamed when I saw it on the anime, sooo happy! )
There are little differences between the manga and anime version, but it's mostly about which Rose/Rozen Crest I want to make...

OOO! And is definitely entering the competition with me as Yuu Kanda! Yay! (And we shall do our best on making up a little fight scene for the skit! XD )

Well, back to the costume, I've started Lavi's Oudzuchi Kodzuchi. It's taller than me and gonna get bigger when I add the mallet. Cause I'll be half blind, I might accidentally whack someone with it, so is going to be my right eye, or hang a 'sorry' sign on my back.
(It's gonna be so fun!)
The handle of the hammer is NOT an old broomstick handle this time, yay! *feels proud* I actually went to a hardware store to get it. It's painted up, (took 1-2 hours) probably needs a second layer. I found a cap for chair legs and fitted it on the stick, then painted it for the bottom.
I'm gonna ask Dad to help me drill a hole into the mallet (its a tin can thingy) Then I'll find some way of wielding the can in place.
I also started butchering my red wig and spiked it up, it looked pretty good a couple of days ago. But gravity's been pulling it back down ever since, it still kinda stands up though. ('Got to be Glued - Freeze blast' is your friend!!! XD )
But before that, I looked on cosplay.com for tips on how to spike up a wig. This one taught me everything:

But I have to sit next to someone smelly and two other guys that get on my nerve... T.T

Oh well, but y'know that doujin I was working on? Well, I said it was gonna be done before my birthday, and that was a month ago... so maybe next year...?
And I'm making & be my 'Image Editors' on the comic, once I do the lineart and scan the pages.

Lol, I know it sounds funny, but I was heading to the shop and I smelled something ...tasty? Like mushrooms or something, don't ask. I thought it was nothing so I went inside (this was at 8:30pm) Half an hour later I came out and saw TONS of smoke filling up the Bakery across the street (no was out cause it was so late) so I ran to the phone and called the Fire brigade, like 5 minutes later two Fire engines showed up and started breaking down the back door.
I was across the street watching it all, I asked one of the Fire fighters and they said that an oven was left on and a fire started.
And I feel so proud about what I did, I saved a Bakery Yay!!! lol

Even though I was hoping for a thank you from the owner. (the owner thought my MUM called 111 ) oh well, all sweet.
(Anyway, at least Nii-san's calling me 'Yin-hung', I'm bad at sounding out chinese words... T.T; )

Oh, on the same day (around morning-noon) I got PSP! But it's just sitting there on my shelf cause I didn't buy any games or a memory stick with it (WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING???!!!!)
BUT there's one thing I can do! ...change the background colour.... T.T yea, that's pathetic...
And now I'm in debt with my Mum, yay! There goes ten weeks of pay. Lol!

But luckily I've kept myself busy with Paintshop (Thank you so much Grace!) And ever since the holidays started I've just been cosplaying. Non-stop. And I'm so very proud of what it looks like right now. I finished the under coat (in less than TWO DAYS, which is REALLY fast for me. ) It took a bit a work and now I'm working on the outside.
(You probably have no idea on what I'm trying to describe, but hopefully I'll get some pictures up... probably around... November... yes yes I know, stop giving me that look. <_< )
(Another thing, stepping on sewing needles HURT LIKE CRAP!!!)

Last week I got Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, and the graphics are GORGEOUS!!! It's done by Square Enix so FF/Kh fans should really consider getting it. The game play is pretty awesome too.

Also on a random note, I keep changing my mind on who to cosplay as for next year's Armageddon (I know the Auckland one's coming up but I pretty much doubt I'll be going.) So here's the list of characters that I keep announcing, and then change my mind afterwards:
- Tidus - FFX
- Balthier - FFXII
- Kite - .Hack
- Lavi - D.Gray-man
- Alicia - Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria
And it's likely to be Lavi, unless I find someone else that beats his utter cuteness. (But also cause I still have that unused red wig...)
But then there's the possibility of cosplaying as Kira's Strike Freedom Gundam!.... doubt it... ^_^; (but maybe I'll have it ready for 2011's Armageddon!) - ignore the crappy sarcasm.

I'm REALLY glad that Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle is finally out on english dub, I'm just praying that the voices match the characters, and BEGGING them to not change the japanese songs already in the anime. Oruha's singing at the Clover Bar is waaaaay too beautiful for them to change! Same with Sakura's 'You are my Love' song. PLEASE DON'T TAKE THEM AWAY!!!!!!!

Lately, I've seen tons of sketches from & and they're awesome! So they've now inspired me to do abit of sketching! Yay! But I'll need to beg Nii-san to use the scanner... T.T (and yea, I'm starting to call him Nii-san. Funny thing is, he thinks it's an insult... or car. "Nissan", lol!)

And I saw 's Ryuuki sketch , which made me start watching Tale of Saiunkoku again. The characters are really eccentric, lol. Long live Ran Ryuuren & hope his flute skills become... less painful...

Well last term I had a graphic assignment to do (we had to design a cafe/restaurant) So the theme I picked was Alice in Wonderland!
(Mad Hatter = Wonderland Cafe)
One of the great things about this assignment was that we also had the school holidays to do it. So I decided that I would make the uniform for the cafe! (I felt like doing some cosplaying at the time, I even made a apron and mini top hat, lol)
So for the first week of the holidays, I spent it working on the uniform, and the second week drawing pictures and watching anime.

Oh, Ana's birthday was on the last day of the term. Some of our friends decided to get her a T.V, so after 2 weeks of begging everyone to get there money in to buy the thing, I came up with an EXTREMELY EVIL plan! Muwhahaha!
*a-hem* after I brought the T.V, I gave it to Beverly telling her to bring JUST the box to school on her b'day. Our friends ran everywhere just to keep Ana distracted, because Ana isn't a very perspective person... she didn't notice anything.
When we found a place with "higher ground", we place the box up there. Then when Ana came walking along everyone yelled:
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" with our arms open 'accidentally' pushing the box off the bench!!! LOL! HER FACE WAS PRICELESS!!!
Everyone started to giggle behind her back while I was the only one still acting: "OMG OMG OMG, I'M SOOO SORRY! I HOPE IT'S NOT BROKEN! OMG I HEARD SOMETHING TUMBLING INSIDE!"
When she opened the box and only saw bricks, she looked sooo pissed.... lol
And because we were afraid that she might kill us, we told her that we really DID get her a T.V, and she stopped giving us the evils. (Happy Ending)

Then there was Michelle's Birthday! Woo!
And she asked us to cosplay for her party, so I came in the cafe uniform. Diana was MEANT to come in a Jin outfit (from Samurai Champloo) but something happened to the outfit so she came in her Tifa costume (the same one from our first Armageddon!).
We took quite a few pictures (hopefully I'll post them up later...) One of the photos included Tifa vs. Waiter! (yea, I had black pants instead of a skirt, so it's waiter.)
Michelle cosplayed as Kagura from Fruits Basket which was cool, cause her birthday cake was iced like Kyo's head! (mmm Kyo mud cake.... *drools* )

Now that it's back to school, I've finally decided that I'm going to learn the violin! (The crap thing is that our school let's us hire violins, but there's no one to teach it... T.T ) So I'm gonna get some Tips from Grace. (Now on, she's my violin-senpai (maybe sensei) cause she's played it for 7 sevens years.) But so far, I can't even play 'Mary had a little lamb' (not even the first sentence!)
But I will keep trying, with some inspiration from the great composer, Yuki Kajiura! (her songs and violin skills are just amazing!!! )

Oh, and there's two new exchange students (Juliane & Lara) that came to our school from Germany! (isn't that cool?) they're so kind ^_^

And I've been catching up on some drawing, so yay! More pictures!

Well I think that's about it.... Oh, when I handed in my graphics assignment my teacher was a little shocked when he saw the uniform.
Mr. : ...wow... you actually made it...?
Me: eh, yea
Mr. : I wasn't expecting this...
Me: What do you mean, not expecting it?
Mr. : well, no one else made one....

But seriously, I'll probably get under 55% in maths. (I've been slacking off, and the teacher is really really really relaxed!!! Usually it's not a bad thing, but gezz! So with all that racket, I can't even hear what Mr. is trying the say...

But a good thing about school is Graphics! I'm finally doing an assessment that I WANT to do! Yay! ^_^
The assessment is to design a restrautant/bar/cafe.
I decieded to do a cafe that goes with the theme of Alice in Wonderland. (Tea Party - Mad Hatter)
So it'll be fun. But I don't remember how the story went exactly.... heck, everyone I've asked at school doesn't remember either...
But I do remember the White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts and The Mad Hatter. (I don't know why, but I've drawing a couple of pictures of him, I think I'm becoming obsessed..... oh well)
Others see the Mad Hatter as a crazy old man, and I see him as a young handsome flirty guy, man I'm weird....

Ooo I finally got around to printing out the Armageddon photos, and I'm starting to think I might need a new camera... the photos were sooooo blury! (or maybe my hands are just shaky.... *shrugs* )

Also, I got around to playing Final Fantasy 8. (I know! Shame on me for cosplaying as Rinoa!) but I did get through most of the first disc before Armageddon, so you can't scold me toooo much....

I have to say, I plan too far a head. I've already got an idea of who too csoplay as for next years expo! And it's gonna be.....

But the coolest thing is I'll be dragging 3 (maybe 5) other friends into the competition with me! So I can have a full party!
But I'm not even sure if they'll be coming next year...
(one of them might be moving to Aus(not another friend taken away by the kangaroos!!!) and the other two are going to Uni) so who knows if I'll be able to contact them. But I guess thats where my stalking skills come in handy!!! ^_^
But if my friends can come with me, then they'll be cosplaying as Yuna, Wakka and Lulu. Considering how they've never cosplayed before I'll be giving them a hand. (Especially Lulu, I'm gonna help her hunt down a few hundred belts for the dress ^^ )

Lol, even if it's been a week, I'm still buzzing with happyness!
I took tonnes of photos with the other cosplayers (they were so funny) because I went as Rinoa from FF8, I ran into TWO Squalls lol. So everytime he walked past me, I yelled "SQUALLY-POO!"
Lol, he probably got embarrassed....
I even yelled out "I LOVE YOU!" on stage! And when he went up, he yelled it back, lol.

The Kingdom Hearts 2 cosplayers were really awesome!!!
Vincent and Irvine were wearing high heel boots so we kept having a rest up stairs, just looking below at all the stalls. And we always knew where the Marluxia cosplayer was. Her weapon was even taller than the stall walls! But I LOVED their skit!!! "Flamboyant...?" LMAO!!!

Also, I brought LOADS of anime, as expected... I've watched around 16 DVDs, but and there's still a whole pile to go through!!!

Like I was saying, I had an INCREDIBLE TIME!!!

Because I live in Bulls (which two hours away from Wellington) I can only go to the expo on the second day, for the cosplay competition. But oh well, it'll still be fun!
I CAN'T WAIT!!!

My friends are coming with me too. But it's such a shame that we all live in different towns/country.
My friend Ana & Michelle live in Marton, Diana lives around Hunterville and Bonnie lives in Aussie. And we only get together pretty much just once a year, and that's for Armageddon.

Ana & Michelle aren't cosplaying for the expo but they'll be tagging along. While Bonnie cosplays as Irvine from Final Fantasy 8.
Diana cosplays as Vincent from Final Fantasy 7.
And I'll be cosplaying as Rinoa from Final Fantasy 8.

But we haven't figured out a skit yet.... T.T

HOPEFULLY we'll get there.....

But cause the expo is coming up, I'm trying to draw a couple of pictures just to show some other artists there and try to get some tips.
So I hope I get that done too ^^
