Oh, and in my last entry (which was ages ago, jesus *fails*) I mentioned I ordered BLOOD's final (TT^TT) album and GPKISM's first? Well, they turned up a couple of days after that entry xD;;; Kiwamu is really something when it comes to posting goodies, lol. I got BLOOD's album about 3 weeks early, and GPKISM's 2 months before the official release date o_O;;; (I ordered them separately, but he sent them together xD) So much for getting it on my birthday... oh well. That's still the official date, I can still gloat xD;;;; And they're both awesome. I'm entirely in love with GPKISM's new song "Abaddon"... Kiwamu wrote it, so it's a little different to usual, but still utterly amazing. I can't wait to hear it live~ <333

Anyway... even if I don't have any art for a little while, I found a handwriting meme that looked interesting, so I'll give that a go xD;;; It's kinda boring without uni right now, lol. Though, class starts in a week... dammit xDD
Ah, I'll find something to do in the meantime... like see Tripod on the Duckpond Lawn on wednesday. Heck yes much?

Anyway, I hope everyone had a good new year ^^
Mine was kinda quiet, but eh. Life is pretty quiet atm, really. A break at the moment, but other than that my summer has been japanese (2 days a week, plus homework etc), games (I have Crisis Core now, and it's awesome

) and occasionally anime or dvds (I did end up spending quite a few nights watching Disney movies ~~for I am one who never grows up, lol~~). Not much else other than that... not much in the way of art (or at least anything worth putting up) hence my lack of activity

Only silly chibis draw on the train, or in boredom... definitely not any actual art ._.

But. This year I really am going to try and do more on here. After all, I'll never improve if I don't try, ne? And I do have some ideas for pictures, it's just a matter of getting them onto paper. Easier said than done...

My other aim for this year is to finish uni... I can't keep dragging it out forever, and honestly I'm kinda getting sick of it. Not that I really want to be out in the world and get a job but... it's gotta happen sometime xD;;; Luckily I think I've got most of my compsci stuff down now, so I should be able to just fill up with slightly more enjoyable things (though, no more ~~easy~~ 100-level subjects D: darnit)

Let's hope this year turns out ok ^^

Though, it'll be hard to top BLOOD/GPKISM... and I'm still shattered that BLOOD are disbanding ;o; especially with no sign of them coming back to Australia... but, I guess that's life *sigh* Anyway, I've got their final album pre-ordered, as well as GPKISM's debut album

(which, awesomely, is going to be released on my birthday. Booyah! *loves GPK*

). So that's something to look forward to at least.
And while at the end of last year I missed seeing SUGIZO (yeah, ex-Luna Sea, guitar god Sugizo) perform in Australia (only found out on the day of, which sucked since it was in Melbourne... with more warning, I would have totally found a way to go Â¬.Â¬ ) but he seems keen to come back (with Luna Sea? Or S.K.I.N.? Or even X Japan? who knows...) so that's pretty awesome.

Yeah, I think this year is going to be ok ^.^
Now let's just hope I can actually achieve my goals for a change xD;;;

So...
...it seems BLOOD are disbanding next year TT^TT

....it's horribly depressing, and leaves me rather amazingly heartbroken

they're releasing one more album at the end of January, and touring america.... and that's all that's been said. Final album, final tour ;o;

...I want them to come back here so much. Hear that Kiwamu, COME BACK TO AUSTRALIA, WE WANT YOU. And bring Kaede, dammit ._. *wants so much*
Ever since the concert in june I've been wanting, desperately, too see them again (or just to see Kaede at all......) and now it's looking like I'll never get the chance ;3; I'd do anything to see them if they ever came back, omfg.

So yeah, totally ruined my day Â¬.Â¬;;; I just want to cry, now. I think it hurts more coz I kinda sorta saw it coming, a little, but I didn't want to think about it.

And what's more, seems like Fu-ki and Kaede are gonna retire from music after..... and this saddens me greatly. Sure Kiwamu will still be around, coz of GPKISM, and Ryo does his own thing (his songs are quite good, actually) but... Kaede ;3; and Fu-ki, that amazing ~~body~~ voice... it's depressing. Epically so.

...in completely random and un-related other news, I got a ticket to see Delta a couple of weeks ago.... a ticket to see her in WOLLONGONG. Why yes, I don't even have to go to Sydney, ahaha. It's pretty amazing. I could have had a seat in the front row but... I'm not really that hardcore of a fan |D;;; The one I do have is still pretty close though, on some of the raised seating on the side... aisle seat (booyah, no climbing over people for me!). Should be good

The actual day isn't til sometime in january though :3

.......gah, I'm so damn depressed over BLOOD, though. Kiwamu, you could at least explain yourself and the reason WHY alnxljsndcljdnv. *sigh* I just hope that they announce more of their tour, that the few days in america isn't all of it, coz that would be really depressing. People in Europe and down here love them too, and I know Kiwamu knows that Â¬.Â¬ especially for Australia....

And on top of that, Yoshiki wrote a blog for the first time since... march? And I thought it would be a good thing, since yesterday was his birthday and all. But, it was kinda angsty, melancholy.... depressing, not to mention entirely in FRENCH (why a japanese guy living in america was writing in french... I don't know. Except, he was apologising to the fans in paris coz X japan's show got postponed (again) until next year...) so I had to break out babelfish (so to speak... I actually used google xD). Might have been nicer to remain oblivious, since he seems to be back in a hating himself stage... which makes me sad since he seemed actually happy in recent pictures, but... who knows. I just wish he'd look after himself *sigh*

bah. I'm going to go play some zOMG or watch some random DaizyStripper comment I downloaded (god those boys are dorks, and it's refreshing after a day like this) in an attempt to bring my mood up.
Oh, I may put some art up over the coming weeks... coz I may or may not end up drawing fanart to try and make myself feel a little better about BLOOD. It's a big maybe though... class starts 1 Dec... I'm kinda looking forward to the distraction now.

I also recently bought DaizyStripper's new single (the shipping cost more than the cd, wtf) and I'm really loving it <3 Now I really want to buy alice nine.'s new dvd but the exchange rate would rape me ;3;

Uni is nearly over for the year... I have an exam tomorrow morning and then I'm done! (and yes, I really should be studying right about now xD lol). Well, done for a few weeks anyway, I'm doing japanese over summer session, but it's only going to take up 2 days a week so I can deal with that

But that's pretty much my life atm, anyway ^^

Or, if you don't want to read my rambling, you can just look at the pics I took here. Though there's not too many, as most of mine turned out blurry (as per usual). Especially ones from the cosplay competition, coz I was so far back the flash was useless. But I still tried~

So ~Ardella, I hope that sort of makes up for you not being able to make it

I have some videos too, but nothing overly amazing (apart from the epic Gladiator arm wrestle) but I probably won't put them up, as I'm lazy and still haven't put up my videos from SN 2006, or SMASH 2007... *fails*

Next con is going to be SMASH, on August 2nd, at UNSW. Hurray for the one cheap convention 8D It was fun last year, so it should be good this year (and I'm going to pre-register my damn ticket this time, so I don't have to wait in such a massive line like last yeah, gah). And apart from that, I've got to go to find a guy I met at the BLOOD concert, who I happened to run into at Supanova XD;; Random, I know. (This is the same guy who was running around before BLOOD introducing himself to absolutely everyone, btw

) But he asked me if I was going to SMASH, so yeah. Though I was planning on going anyway, as they're having a real honest to god seiyuu as a guest, and he happens to voice a character from one of my favourite anime. Not missing that!

In other news, uni results for first session are out. I failed 336 (no surprise, really... but I must've massively bombed that final, bah) but I scraped a PC for 212

So I never have to do that again, hopefully. ãã£ããï¼
And I got a HD for japanese, 87. Booyah! Go me xD;;
I have no idea for the project though, coz that's an annual subject D: But, I'm pretty sure we're doing ok, our supervisor is reasonably easy to please, lol.

Quinton Flynn is going to be there~ that is, Reno in Advent Children, and Axel in KH2! I'm taking my dvd & game to be signed, lol. I'll also have a picture for him, when I get my arse into gear x3;;

There's also the usual heap of sci-fi people (like a guy from Supernatural, which is cool) but I don't worry about them much, coz they charge for autographs, lol. The Star Wars cosplayers are always cool, though ^^

And they're having the Aussie premier of "L Change the WorLd." *flails* L desu~~! Yeah, I'm totally gonna end up watching it, even if I then have to wait until september to buy the dvd xD;;

I'll make sure I take plenty of photos and videos (I've got a bigger memory card for my camera now, so yay) and share them after. Not the least for ~Ardella, coz I don't think she's going this year? ;o; I'll try make sure you don't miss anything good, hun

Though that cd whose cover I had on my last journal (all that time ago)? I did buy it... so pretty~

I guess if you really want to know what's been happening check out my livejournal, since I've updated that a little more often xD;;

The main thing was I finally got to see a real jrock concert~! More gothic than visual, but all the same

A band called BLOOD (myspace) had a tour here in Australia. With them was GPKISM (Kiwamu from BLOOD also plays in this... but GPK, the singer, is Australian - myspace here) and a Melbourne band called Aural Window (myspace), who were pretty good, and certainly got everyone pumped.

The whole thing was a heap of fun, actually. For the Sydney cnocert they had a meet and greet at Kinokuniya in the afternoon, where you could buy their cds and get them signed, and take photos and stuff. I got BLOOD's "The Reaper Behind Me" and GPKISM's "Sublimis" (finally~

) and also a free poster, all signed 8D;; and dear god, GPK is ridiculously tall o_o;; He was wearing massive heeled boots, but even without them he'd have been the tallest. And Ryo was so little and cute x3; They were all really nice though (even if Kiwamu is a little intimidating) ^^

Anyway, I'd drawn them some pictures, so I thought I'd feature them here :3

So yeah. Kiwamu, Fu-ki, Kaede (who wasn't there? T^T *heartbroken*), Ryo, and GPK. The kanji on them is their names, obviously ^^

I've got a ton of photos from the concert, and I'm writing up a report on it (which I'll link from my LJ when I'm done) but it won't appear until at least wednesday... I have exams on monday and tuesday D: Wish me luck? I'll need it... Â¦D;;;

Until then, I guess... and over my break I'll try and update here more often

~Eyespiral has been going on about it since ~ebbenjay bought a PSP and it sounded intriguing (besides, I've always wondered about it) so when I saw a pre-owned one for $19 I thought "why not?" ...and damn, it's addicting xD;; The locoroco are so cute, and they sing, lmao.

Art-wise, not much happening... I've got a few little chibi-ish things, but I need to do all of them before I upload, since they kind of go in a set Â¦D;; You'll see when I'm done~ XD

And for my little usual jrock rant, isn't this the most awesome ~~and prettiest~~ CD cover ever? 8D

Not that's it's much of a midsession break, considering it's not in the middle of session at all (it's between weeks 4 & 5 of a 13 week session...). But anyway, it's a week off

Since I have net, I actually got to updating some pics (most are in scraps though, since they're silly doodles). And I've got a few more to come, I just need to scan them in ^^

Uh... I can't really think of much else to say, actually xD;; Hmm... well, my latest loves at the moment are:

He's actually quite big, too! Totally worth the extra $10 or so~). I didn't bring my camera cable home with me *stupid* so no pics. Not yet, anyway

I'm actually excited about this, now (I wasn't particularly at first). Both Blood and GPKism seem like awesome people, and I actually like the music :3

Such range and control *3* He's knocked Hyde off the top of my list of fav vocallists *shock* And the rest of the band, they're such dorks, I love them <333 Oh yeah, and I love their visual style, too. Things I'm not happy about:
â ...homework, assignments, this damn group project. Uni in general. 'Nuff said, I guess.

Though that's partially because uni has started up again, and I'm quite busy (5 subjects, I'm insane...) and I don't really have internet so much while I'm at college (the phones aren't working, so yeah). Hence I took the opportunity while I was at home to just quickly update and say why I haven't been updating (or why I'm not really likely to do so for a bit).

So yes. Uni is going to be very busy for me, but I still want to get some art done (to relax, really). As it is, I have quite a few (old) sketches that I'll probably upload next time I come home, so apologies in advance for the art dump XD;

Uh... other than that, I'm not dead (again). I'm sorry I don't post or upload or anything much... time just gets away from me. I spent New Years at ~Eyespiral and ~ebbenjay's place, then *Jinnizzle came and visited for about a week and a half (we did all kinds of fun and geeky things XD). Since she left I've been helping my mum at the uniform shop at my old high school (selling uniforms to all the ~~lovely~~ new year 7s and such) and now I'm trying to organise my subjects for the year (which is about as much fun as pulling teeth, seriously). And I move back to Wollongong in few weeks... what happened to my holiday? o.O;;

I do have some things to upload though (some of which I still need to scan, if I can ever get my laptop off my brother) though I'm not sure when I'll get around to it XD;; It's mostly crack jrock things that my Shou-kun and I have come up with though, heh Â¬3Â¬

And yesterday I bought myself one of the 2 most recent Spyro PS2 games (the New Beginnings one) and the Ratchet & Clank PSP game. So that should keep me amused for, well, a couple of days at least XD; as much as I love those kinds of games, they really don't take that long to finish ;o; Still, it's something new and exciting :3

...and maybe I'll leave it at that, and have a short entry for once XDDD Hopefully it won't be a month until the next one

A wrap up of various things that happened, including me passing my subjects, ~Jinnizzle coming to visit, and stuff

Pre-xmas post about some scans that I did for my Shou-kun, though anyone can take them *shrug* The Miyavi ones went down well on a Miyavi community, I can tell you that. I'm still answering comments o.O;

And finally, my xmas post, complete with pics of the giant xmas tree in Martin Place that I took when I was last in Sydney.

I dare say there's other things I've failed to mention that are also in my lj, but feel free to have a look back through it for yourself if you wish.

So yes. As for what's happened since... well, not much. Art muses come and go, though I haven't really drawn anything. I do want to, just haven't found the right inspiration, perhaps. I also never got to drawing an xmas pic this year, coz I fail Â¬.Â¬;; but anyway. Maybe for New Years.

Uh... I'm sure there was something I was going to say, but I'll be darned if I can remember. Oh well. I don't really have much to replace it with, though. I did get around to uploading some things in my gallery and scraps, though (as any of the poor people who watch me might've noticed

Also, I'm essentially done with uni for the year

yays~ Well, I've finished my exams (all two of them, lol) at any rate. I do have some stuff to do over summer though. I have to do the final project for my animation class: a still image and a short animation. Reminds me, I should work out what to do for that...

And I have to move back home in a week or so, my contract at college ends... both a good and bad thing, in a way. I do want to go home (fast internet, huzzah) but... Culburra is dreadfully boring and so far from everything (and I can't drive). Oh well, I'll just deal with it XD I'll be back next year, and with ~Jinnizzle too, so a 3 month break won't do me any harm ~~and it's some time away from all the drunken idiots at least~~

Yeah... can't think of much else. Hurray for a short journal for a change? X3

And yes, it really is a race that stops a nation... anyone and everyone glues themselves to the nearest TV or radio for the 3 minutes that it takes for it all to be over.

I think this is my favourite day of the whole year :3

Sounds kind of crazy, I guess? Not that I don't love xmas, or my birthday, or any other holiday or event ...but they just can't measure up to my excitement right now, or any other year. I have a real passion for this race (and horses and racing in general, I guess). As the guy on tv just said, "it's the greatest moment in Australian sport". It's just.... I don't know. I love it all

Small history lesson, perhaps?
The Melbourne Cup was first run in 1861, and was won that year (and the following) by a horse called Archer ...who hailed from Terara, just outside of Nowra (which is where I live ^^). The word is, they walked him the 800km to Melbourne, too.
Moving forward... 1930. Phar Lap. Everyone knows about him, surely? Huge horse (giant heart!) born in New Zealand (or so I believe), raced here in Australia, made it big (though he only won the Cup the once) and went to America, where he sadly and unexpectedly died (poisoned, perhaps? No one knows...)
Scoot onwards a few more decades. 1978, a horse called Arwon won. What's so special about this one? Well, "Arwon" is "Nowra" written backwards XD Local spirit strikes again~
Then... 2005. A mare called Makybe Diva makes history, becoming the first horse ever to win the Cup three times (in a row, no less). She was retired to be a brood mare directly afterwards, I bet she was disappointed they didn't think she could do it a fourth time ^^

...and you know what? I didn't have to look up a single word of that XD Yes, I'm a geek. But I like it that way

By the way, the Cup itself is quite a marvelous thing. It's made from gold, hand beaten, and in a unique 3 handle design (and it's been that way since 1919, they make a new one every year). In case no one knows what I'm on about (for shame!), here's a pic:

And On A Jeune came second to Makybe Diva in 2005, it's his fourth cup... he's got a chance too, he could last the 3200m. Yeah, it's a hellova long horse race X3 (2 miles-ish, for you americans)

Then. Down the straight, Purple Moon in front, seemed to have it... til a dark grey streaks down the outside, and wins by about half a length. Very Efficient~!

That was.... wow. And I wasn't too far off.... I guessed Mahler right?

So, the final placings:

Anyway, I guess a fair bit has happened... it's been over a month, oy. Let's see if I can summarise it... (if you read my livejournal, some of this won't be so new)

Went to Griffith, as I said in my last journal. It was fun, and great to see Mic again ^^ Took quite a few photos around the place, might upload some of the better ones. Also, on the way back to the 'Gong we stopped off at Cootamundra and visited with my darling ~Jinnizzle for a while, which was absolutely awesome

Supanova came and went for another year. There was heaps of awesome cosplays, but my photos mostly suck, I'm a horrible photographer when it matters, it seems ;o;. But I got to meet Richard Epcar (Batou from Ghost in the Shell) and his lovely wife Ellyn Stern (who is also a voice actress, though I don't know anything she's done other than a character in Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence). Let me just say, that man is TALL

Awesomely nice guy, though.
I also got to meet Liam O'Brian (Dist in Tales of the Abyss, and Gaara in Naruto, among others), who was such a great guy, and absolutely hilarious... his personality reminded me a lot of Vic :3 Michael Sinterniklaas (Leonardo from TMNT/TMNT Fast Forward) was also there, though I didn't meet him (not knowing who he was til afterwards

). There is a hilarious vid on youtube of Michael and Liam going against each other in guitar hero (at the EB booth) though... I'll link it in my LJ along with photos (of cosplay, the guests, and my signed goodies) once I get myself organised.
Overall, Supanova was tiring, but so much fun. And I spent too much on anime, ha. Curse Madman and their cheap SN prices Â¬.Â¬;; I got box sets of Gravitation & Gunparade March, and the collectors box and first volume of Mushishi, all $35 each. I've seen the Gunparade boxset in JB HiFi for like, $60 or $70, I should point out. Me, happy? hell yes 8D Also got a little Tachikoma figurine from Tamarket (missed out on getting a plushie, boo) coz I love those silly robots <3
Oh yeah, and I think I was nearly singing Hare Hare Yukai in my sleep for the few days after SN, I'd heard it so often over that two days

I still don't think I can dance it though... ah... I don't think I'm going to re-do/improve my Haruhi cosplay 'til all the hype blows over. Same for Amane Mise Â¬.Â¬ Maybe next year will be safe.

...I can't remember what else I was going to say now XD; lol. Um... well, art-wise, I've found my muses again, so I've been drawing a little art, and I still have a ton of photos to upload, I'll get to that at some point.

Oh yes! Speaking of supanova... it's been just over a year since I met ~Jinnizzle there last year (in the line for Vic, of all places XDD lol). Nyaa~ Aishiteiru na, my Shou-kun

And she managed to gain early entry into my university (UoW, University of Wollongong) so she gets to come live with me here at college next year :3 It's gonna be a lot of fun~

My copy of My Heart Draws a Dream eventually arrived, too. And it was a first press! But, I got a tetsu papercraft thing again... not that I don't love Tetsu (he's so genki and cute) but I always want Hyde, coz he's my favourite. Oh well... next time, maybe. Speaking of which, L'Arc~en~Ciel's next single, HURRY XMAS, is such a great christmas song, and the PV is so full of crack. Now I just have to save a little, so I can get Daybreak's Bell, Hurry Xmas, and their upcoming album, KISS. Yes, new album... oh gods I can't wait, I love L'Arc so much <333

I don't really have anything to say... I do have some art planned *legasp* coz I want to do some to honour some JRocker's bdays, coz I'm a geek like that. Hey, inspiration is inspiration, ne? Anyway, it's Tora's (from alice nine.) today, and was Miyavi's at the end of last week. And a while back was Bill & Tom, and Gustav (from Tokio Hotel). And Takanori (T.M.Revolution) is on wednesday, I think.

But yes, I doubt anyone really cares

I'm probably going to throw up some photo's later though, I took some nice ones last week (thursday was the most gorgeous day). And I did put up my assignment 1 from DESN290 (my graphic design subject) though it's not really that amazing >.> I'll be able to put up assignment 2 soonish though, and I'm doing that with the awesome *Eyespiral

Oh, and speaking of photos, you can see my oh-so-dodgy ones from SMASH here on my photobucket. A lot of them are blurry though, coz I fail like that. Video's are forthcoming, though since I'm still putting up ones from last year's Supernova on my youtube, don't hold your breath or anything

No pics or anything yet though, coz they're on my other computer. And most of them are blurry, which sucks coz there was some awesome cosplays. I did get some good videos though, mostly of the MCs doing "Whose Line is it Anime?"

Anyway. I managed to get to UNSW ok, cityrail sucked (as normal, and damn the trackwork, I had to change trains at Hurstville both to and from Sydney, GAH). I managed to find a bus to UNSW though, while I was outside Central wondering where the heck to go I saw a girl in a yukata and a girl in gothic lolita, so I followed them, and we managed to get on the same bus. I also ended up with them in the line to get in (which was rather long), and hence ended up spending the day with them ^^ And while I improved from the Supanova experience, and we actually introduced ourselves this time, I fail and I can't remember their names now ;o; If you see this, I'm sorry!!

But yeah. So I hung out with these awesome girls all day, took lots of pics of cosplayers, and managed to not spend so much money, for once (I spent more at Kinokuniya on the way home than at SMASH, lmao. I finally got vol.2 of Mushishi, as well as the latest Arena37c). All I bought was a cool KH doujinshi, a book of awesome pics, and a Sephiroth bookmark XD They were selling copics and trias in a room upstairs, so I stayed away from that for the sake of my bank account >.>;; But yeah, I'll add links to the people I bought stuff from (since most of them are on DA) later, when I get back to the 'Gong (which is where my stuff is). I'll also add pics later (the not so blurry ones, anyway) and videos, when I get around to upping them somewhere.

So yeah, that was pretty much it. It was fun though, and now I'm sad I'm gonna miss Animania, coz it's much smaller than Supanova, and just anime (not pop culture) like SMASH was. Oh well. Next year, then ^^

This one is totally affordable (like, $12 to get in!) so if you're in the Sydney area on the 18th you should check out SMASH, the Sydney Manga and Anime Show. Official site and info here. I'm so going (once I work out how to get to UNSW) so... yeah X3 It sounds like fun, and kinda makes up for the fact I'll miss Animania later in the year. Besides, a Host Club, cosplay and Copics demonstrations ftw

I'm not going to post anything at all pertaining to the plot. But I will say, that reading a book by J.K. Rowling is like riding on a rollercoaster - you can't help but get drawn into the story and then, along with the characters, you experience both ends of the emotional spectrum, and everything inbetween... and that's what I love about books, and Ms. Rowling is indeed a master storyteller

...I can't think of anything else. I can't really think of anything right now... I guess it hasn't sunk in, that that was the END, there is nothing more to look forward to TT^TT

Still, wow. I love that woman. Best book EVER.

And now I need sleep, coz early tomorrow morning me and mum are going to see Order of the Phoenix. Maybe something more coherent will get posted later. _{and more than likely fanart, coz I'm lame like that and have the urge like nothing else >.>}

It's not a huge secret (or hard to guess, I suppose) that I love Harry Potter - not the person, the books, that is >.>; I have all the books thus far (though I can't find my copy of Order of the Phoenix! *cries and searches*), all the dvds thus far (2 disc editions, naturally), and each of the games thus far in some form or another (PS2 and gameboy XD lol). I'm a geek, lmao. I even have a little Hedwig plushie, which I am about to go and find >w<

Though mum said "lunchtime is a good time to go retrieve the book" so I won't get mine 'til a few hours after it's release ;o; (it's all pre-ordered and paid for, just need to rock up and get it). Oh well. I'd imagine mum has the right idea, even in a place as small (?) as Nowra it'll be kind of crazy for a bit, I'd imagine. I just want to get my hands on it and settle down and READ until I'm done XDDD Yes, I can read an entire book in one sitting. I did that with the last one, I think it took me 12 hours.... longer than usual for me >.> *is a fast reader, and honestly LOVES reading*

But anyway. I'm planning to boycott the interwebs until I'm completely finished, for fear of stumbling on spoilers. Coz there are far too many stupid people out there who set out to spoil things for others. I figure I'll be well done reading by sunday though. Which is good, coz mum said we can go watch the 5th movie ^^ (yes, I go to the movies with my mum ;3 She reads and watches HP too!) So it's a HP weekend all round, I say

I was going to draw some HP fanart (coz I've wanted to forever, just never got to it) but I didn't before I came home... and even if I do now (which I probably will) I can't upload it because I don't have a scanner T^T

Also, I won't get back to the 'Gong until monday night (instead of the usual sunday) because while uni does start again next week, at this point I have mondays off XD ...three day weekend, babeh~!

Not really much else to report... I'm tossing up whether to stay at home a few more days (yayz broadband, but oh noes sneezing) or to head back up to college (to my computer that has all my good things on it, and my PS2). There's pros and cons either way, and I'm so freaking indecisive D:

But anyway. I've been chatting on msn with ~Jinnizzle quite a bit, we spend a lot of time fangirling and it's awesome <3 Plus I swear youtube rules our lives, lmao. And she's written this awesome Alice Nine fanfic, that I get to beta XD And when it's done I'll probably put it up on my lj (well... maybe my graphics/multimedia lj, instead of my personal one) so that everyone can see ;3

I'm sure there's something about people called Jess being uberly talented

And still no art from me. It's not that I have art block, as such... just that I can see the pic I want to draw in my head, but as soon as I'm there with a blank piece of paper, I get the feeling that I'll never be able to put it down as I see it (coz everything I've ever drawn, it might be ok but it's never what I see in my head) so then I just don't bother >.> I know, I suck

So maybe I'll put up more photos. I've got plenty

Anyway. the other day (monday), I went to Sydney and met up with my darling ~Jinnizzle

We had so much fun. And bought stuff we probably could have done without X3 I finally got that damn Nightmare photobook, no thanks to Jess. It kinda went like... me: "oh, it's expensive, I don't need it..." Jess: "Yes you do. Buy it!" XDDD Bad influence you are! But yeah, we just wandered around haymarket/chinatown/kinokuniya and talked about everything (and nothing)

There's no one I'd rather walk through a near-empty mall with, squealing "omg Takanori is so CUTE~~!"

hehe.

And today I should be able to go see my other Jess, ~Eyespiral, since she's in the 'Gong today, and since mum is coming, I won't have to walk over to Fairy Meadow. Huzzah!

One last thing, before I run off (things I need to do before I go!). Today is Gackt's Birthday~!

Probably means nothing to any of you, but still XD Whether he's 34 or 467 (... don't ask. If you're a fan, you know) he's still the most gorgeous guy ever. I want to draw something, but I don't have a scanner at home, so... I'll just have to acknowledge the mad aristocrat's birthday in my journal for now ^^

It was great. I haven't actually spoken to her (other than typing, here or on msn) since we met last october. So while it was a little awkward at first, perhaps, it didn't take long for us to be chatting and giggling as if we did it everyday or something. And what's even better is on monday I'm going to meet her in Sydney and we'll get to do it face to face :3 We'll hang out for a day, ~~spend too much money~~ go to Kinokuniya, and just plain have fun. I CAN'T WAIT~!

Also, my friend Wendy came down from Sydney to visit, and we went out for lunch today. Which culminated in us sitting in this cafe in the mall for a few hours chatting away about random crap. Just like we used to all last year at Weerona ^^ We also went to toss at North 'Gong, and since Reece had driven up here from home, and he's not drinking at the moment, we got a ride, which was awesome coz it's bloody freezing out there. Guess he can be useful sometimes

And hopefully ~Eyespiral is back here down under now? *pokes Jess* ~~contact me, darnit!~~ XD I want to see my Jess, who I haven't seen for slightly less time than my other younger Jess.

Also hon, if you or EJ are about in the 'gong monday night, I might need to be picked up from the station. Though right now on ABC (which I turned on on a whim, omg) there's this show about computer/video games. It's nuts. They're saying about how in South Korea, it's so serious. Like, geeks and gamers are celebrities. You can make a career out of it! Some gamers are among the most famous people in the country! They have live playings of games (mostly Starcraft, which makes me rofl coz I've watched Reece play that here with the other guys at college) which can draw crowds of 20,000. Yeah, that's like a concert. WTF. It's bloody insane o_O;;;

Moving on. I had stuff to ramble about (carried over from my last entry) but I'll try keep it brief, coz I'm sure no one really cares >.>;
To recap from last time:

But yes. As for the rest/new things:

Sometime around my last post, a couple of my american friends, and my tutor (who is french) went skydiving. Yeah, they voluntarily threw themselves out of a plane. I know, they're nuts! Me and my other friend (Alex, mexican) just waiting for them when they landed, and took photos of the landing XD

There's a new Tomb Raider game. And I want it >.> (yeah, I'm a bit of a tomb raider whore. Lara Croft = teh awesome)

I have new obsessions (haha, surprising, ne?). This is what happens when I see pretty looking guys in a jrock magazine and find out more about them, lol. Namely, the band Alice Nine. (?????, if your computer/DA can show it). And Miyavi (?), though my interest in him was more coz he's in Gackt's new superband, S.K.I.N., which consists of Gackt, Miyavi, Yoshiki (former X Japan) and Sugizo (former Luna Sea). Which is exciting/interesting enough in itself >w<

I still love Tokio Hotel <3 And my german still sucks.

I still love L'Arc~en~Ciel's song Seventh Heaven. And Hyde's dancing still very much amuses me. ~~I wanna be Hyde when I grow up, lmao.~~

I keep buying ~~useless junk~~ awesome things in Kinokuniya. Sure I should save my money for rent, but it's not my problem if I haven't got my bill for may/june/july yet >.>; On the plus side, I have Gackt & TMR posters, and more copics ^^ On the down side, I still can't find the next volume of Mushishi, gah. And I'm out of wall space for posters *apologises to Gaku, who got left out*

that reminds me. Travis Willingham is seemingly going to be the main character in the dub of the anime for Mushishi. I still can't get my head around that, Col. Mustang as Ginko? wtf. *wonders what Reece would think, he loves the anime*

...I think that was about it. But omg, this show I'm watching, that I mentioned at the top? What a surprise, they started on the "oh noes, violent games make kids want to go out and shoot people" rant XD Hmm. Lets see. *raises hand* Hi, I'm a girl. I play games (LMAO yo ~Jinnizzle, remember that dude at Supanova who heard us talking about playing games, while we were in line for Vic? And how he just couldnt get it that girls would play games? Idiot XD rofl). And I don't just play games like Final Fantasy, Jak & Daxter, et al. I play Tomb Raider. I play Tony Hawk (go on, laugh. I dare you). I've played Need For Speed (back when it was fun, dammit. PS1 games ftw. And me and my little bro getting majorly competitive, lmao). I've even played games like Quake and Unreal Tournament on my computer (if you must know, Reece put them there). I've even tried Starcraft (though it sucked, so I ditched it for E.V. Nova, which was awesome 'til my demo expired). I've played violent games, and I sure as heck have never had the urge to go out and shoot anyone. My brother plays stuff like Hitman, Splinter Cell (both of which I've tried, but I hate the XBOX) and Scarface, and he isn't violent. I wonder how people (like that dork in america, Jack Thompson or something?) can categorise the thoughts/actions of many based on the actions of a few very messed up people. ~~Oh wait, our government does that too, with P-platers and laws associated with such >.>~~

Feel free to argue. I'll listen, but I may not agree. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, I felt like expressing mine

I was actually going to do this a few days ago but I thought I'd try and calm down a bit, but that didn't work coz now I've got more to go on about XD Brace yourselves, I'll do this from newest to oldest news, I guess.

Firstly, you'll never guess what I did earlier tonight. Me and some of my friends from college (Naihomy, Kendal & Alejandra) went to the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong to see this:

Finding Nemo on Ice!! How cool, ne? I'm such a little kid, lmao. And yes, it was awesome

I didn't take my camera (after all, you're not supposed to and mine isn't exactly inconspicuous) but Alex did and I know she took some photos, I'll get a copy and share some. Because it really was amazing ^^

Y'know Jess (either of you, one is coming back to Wollongong oh-so-soon and the other will hopefully be here next year), we should check out these things more often. Student concession ftw :3 Plus to ~Eyespiral, Rhys works there as an usher, he was there tonight and he looks so cute all dressed up in the uniform thing

Ok, moving on. Next exciting thing: L'Arc~en~Ciel's official site got updated. Why is that exciting? Apart from making it all spiffy and awesome, they put up a calendar of sorts, with the plan for the year. Allow me to elaborate:

Clearly, you can see Laraku are still pretty much my fav band ever :3 and I'm excited as all hell about all this. Plus they're also doing a tour right now, but that's not so exciting for me coz it's in Japan >.>;; I swear one day I'll see them though, if it's the last thing I do! *determined*

NSW has had a shocker of a few days, I heard the guy on the news saying it was the worst rainstorm in over 30 years, some places had seas up to 15m! Good thing I haven't been going anywhere, though it fined up today anyway.

Oh, and I went to Sydney to Kinokuniya last thursday... the day all the rain started, naturally

I got half drowned walking out of central station (it waited 'til I was nearly undercover after crossing the road, then a sudden downpour, gah). So I stayed in World Square for a bit to dry off. Then about a street over from Kinokuniya, me and some poor asian girl waiting to cross the road got half drenched by a car that went passed and splashed us. Let it be noted we were standing a good 2 or 3 metres back from the road

So after that I stayed in Kinokuniya for a couple of hours to dry off. And bought far more that I should have >.> I should always take a friend who can confiscate my wallet when I go there, LMAO. Anyway, this time I got the latest issue of MusiQ? (it had Nightmare on the front, lots of pics of them inside, and came with a dvd - hence it's justified to me XD), and Ouran Host Club fanbook (lots of good reference pics, and if/when I ever manage to learn to read japanese, perhaps good info too), Hyde's FAITH tour photobook (it's hugely thick... and I've been eyeing it off for about 6 months, and there was only one left...) and also the January issue of Arena 37Âº (why january? that's what they had... guess I'll be waiting til december for them to get the pretty Laraku filled June issue...) which had an awesome pic of Nightmare on the back that I wanted to use to make a wallpaper... I know that doesn't jsutify buying a magazine, but then I noticed it had T.M.Revolution and Abingdon Boys School in it, and I was sold XDDD Oh, and when I opened it, 2 posters fell out... guess what ~Jinnizzle? I have a giant TMR poster

kyaa~ Pity there's no room on my walls...

So yeah. By this time it'd stopped raining, but I was lazy so I took the monorail over to chinatown and walked back to central from there

And then, my stuff I ordered from Play-Asia arrived during the week, and mum brought it up today ^^ I'm so pleased! Everything but the WaT single came with bonuses too! Laraku's Seventh Heaven had a little chibi Tetsu paper thing inside (I was disappointed I didn't get Hyde T^T ...but Tetchan's my second fav so it's ok X3 lol), Hyde's Season's Call had a Blood+ sticker, and Gackt's No Ni Saku Hana No You Ni (damn you Gaku and your need for poetic titles! D: bah) was in a huge cd case (especially for a single, even if it did come with a dvd...) and I worked out why when I opened it: it comes with the sheet music for the song folded up inside, printed on this pretty parchment type paper

pretty awesome! All these were the limited/special editions of the singles, I may point out (well, except L'Arc~en~Ciel's, but theirs was first press!). If you want to see pics I'm going to put some on my LJ later (I'll add a link).

So yeah, exciting stuff! Though "Honey 2007" wasn't as amazing as I thought it'd be - Tetsu voice just isn't the same as Haido's... and the fast/slow/fast/slow thing they had going on was just weird, especially for a song like Honey - I mean, I love love LOVE the original version. So I think I'll stick to "Round & Round 2005" (minus P'UNK Aoki *shudders* ) and "Kasou Heisei Jyuunana-nen" for my P'Unk~en~Ciel fix

Eh, enough J-Rock rambling for now, I'll save some for another day XD

Oh, and I still don't have much in the way of art to submit, so I'll keep sticking up a few photos for now. Moving on... today started off bad but improved greatly. My group was supposed to meet with our tutor for 324 at 11am. Frithjof (the tutor, he's german) thought it was at 2pm... so that didn't happen. Now we have to reschedule. Dear god let it be over soon *tears out hair*

So. Since I was at uni early-ish, and with no classes to go to (it's study week - stuvac), I just bought lunch and found a quiet bit of lawn near McKinnon/admin. It was nice and secluded, and near a waterfall (in the creek that runs thru uni). ~Eyespiral, I'll have to show you when you get back, it was a good place for lunch ^^

And since I had all afternoon to waste, and my normal path home (from Northfields Ave, past the Alumni bookshop) is blocked by demolition work, and since I had my camera with me (it was already in my bag, so I left it there) I decided to go back through the botanic gardens, since I've lived here 3 years and still not been there (2 years of which I've been walking past there nearly every day...). I spent all afternoon in there, taking pictures - I've got over 300 XDDDD And not just of plants! I was taking photos of ducks, geese, cockatoos, and was even stalking a couple of rabbits at one point

It was fun!

And it's like another world in there, seriously ^^ ~~especially if you can get away from the schoolkids on excursions...~~ I think I'll be going there more often. I mean, I didn't even check out the rainforest part!

And it's right across from uni, after all.

Actually, that's a point. Jess (~Eyespiral) - if we have any huuuge gaps between classes (like, 2 or 3 hours) next session and nothing better to do, we should go to the botanic gardens instead of bumming around uni with the guys :3

So yeah. I've got lots of good photos, but hell if I'll up them all on here. It'd take forever, I'm on dial up (as long as I'm at uni), pity me! T^T Maybe next time I go home I'll make an album on my photobucket or something, coz most of them really are too pretty not to share

Anyway. That was my day XD As for new obsessions... yeah. I'm bad, my obsessions change nearly weekly

And they keep getting younger >.> I'm serious! From Laraku, to Gackt, TMR (ok, he throws of the "getting younger" thing a bit, he's older than Gackt), Mamoru, WaT... and now: Tokio Hotel

And, in case the name tricked you (like it did me, how do you think I found them) they're NOT japanese - they're German :3

And I really do mean about my obsessions getting younger... these guys are younger than me

(well, only just in Georg's case, but he's still younger!). Kinda makes me feel dirty XDDDD And Bill (the singer) is unbelievably pretty... pity they're not japanese, they'd fit right into the j-rock world XD

Quick rundown... Tokio Hotel consists of: identical twins (though you'd never know it) Bill and Tom Kaulitz, Gustav SchÃ¤fer, and Georg Listing (yeah, research is the first thing I do

). And that's from youngest to oldest, btw. Georg is a couple of weeks younger than me, the twins are a few months older than my little bro OMGWTF *still can't get head round it... but hey, I still can't believe my bro is in yr12* o.O; Lineup is Bill on vocals, Tom on guitar, Georg on Bass and Gustav on drums. Oh well. So now, what to do for a couple of hours before class... sure, I could do work, but I want a day off XD I guess I can draw, I haven't had a chance in a while (which should explain my lack of serious updates).

Some fun stuff has been (or will be) happening lately though ^^ A couple of my friends at Weerona, Naihomy & Kendal (both Americans) came to stay at my house last weekend. We had heaps of fun (and were acting like kids most of the time, lmao). Mum came and got us on friday arvo, that night we spent playing card games and even a game of Trouble (since we found a stash of board games that me and my little bro haven't touched in years). Let's just say, we got kinda competitive XDDD

On saturday, we headed out to Jervis Bay. We went out to Callala on the way, coz mum had to drop something off to someone, so we checked out the beach there quickly. Then we went out to Falls Creek via (the newly sealed, and no longer a bumpy corrugated dirt track) Forest Road, to the emu farm

Kendal had been there once before (on a trip from uni) but Naihomy had no idea what she was in for. Unfortunately, no baby emus (though I do have photos of some from a time we went there years ago ^^ so cute!!) but we did go feed the big ones X3 I have video, lol. Then we had emu pie for lunch (yum...) and headed out to Huskisson to wander around (and get ice cream XD hehe). Oh, plus checked out the fish and boardwalk at the Lady Denman complex... saw lots of little crabs among the mangroves.

Then we headed out to Hyams Beach, to check out the whitest sand in the world :3 It was late afternoon at this point, so the beach was in the shade, but still pretty damn white (I've been there in the middle of the day once... it's quite blinding!). So perhaps it was a good thing we'd been at Callala earlier, coz the sand there is pretty white too (as opposed to say... Culburra). Anyway, we were mucking around and writing stuff in the sand XD lol. Then we had to head home coz mum had to ~~haul my bro all over the countryside~~ pick up Nicks gf and stuff >.>

So while they were out, we sat down and watched Tarzan :3 (out of what we narrowed my dvd ~~library~~ collection to, it was one that we all agreed we wanted to see, either for the first time, or for the first time in ages XD hehe). I love that movie <3 Then, after dinner we watched Pricscilla Queen of the Desert, because I insisted XDD It's a classic Aussie film! ~~and everyone should see Hugo Weaving and Guy Pierce prancing around in frocks at least once in their life~~

On sunday, we didn't do much XD We went across the road from my house and fed carrots to the horse/ponies that reside in the paddock there (they're not mine, they belong to an aboriginal lady. But Lucky has been there ever since we moved to Orient Point

). We also walked around my house taking pics of mum's flowers XDDD (see? We're dorks lmao). Then we went down to the beach near the lake at Culburra to look for shells. Found quite a few, too ^^ And while we were waiting for mum to come and get us, we were mucking around on the swingset in the park, LMAO. We are such kids XDD then we headed over to Tilbury Cove (which Kendal misread the sign to as "Turkey Cove"

) and had fish and chips for lunch, before looking for shells there too (but not so much on the beach as near the rock platforms... there were better shells there). More stupid photos were taken and much fun was had by all

And that was pretty much our weekend, we headed back to Wollongong after that and got back just in time for dinner ^^

Well, it's hard to get (real, not bootleg!) japanese music here, and play-asia isn't too expensive, and they ship things here quickly ^^ Plus, I've got a $5 voucher from my last purchase (US$, not AUS$ - hence I save more! Never thought that exchange rate would work in my favour, lol) and it expires tomorrow so I want to use it XD

Now I'm just trying to decide what to get (apart from Seventh Heaven & No ni Saku Hana no You ni) without spending too much of my money... any suggestions? I'm looking at some other Laraku singles *cough*Jojoushi*cough* or maybe one of Abingdon Boys School's singles *cough*coz I love Takanori*cough* - I've got other stuff on my 'wish list', but it's more expensive stuff (for example: the Ouran Host Club PS2 game, Death Note DS game (yes, such a thing does exist!), Kagen no Tsuki - Last Quarter (Hyde's other movie), and any number of other goodies).

Argh, decisions! XDDD Well, I'm going to have to make up my mind, can't waste that voucher!

Something happier... I went to Sydney to Kinokuniya on the weekend ^^ I also went to Sydney to the markets with my friends (Naihomy, Kendal & Alex) a few weeks ago, but that wasn't near Kinokuniya, so I felt the need to go back

I guess I should show what resulted from that first trip: nothing from the markets, but some stuff from a dodgy shop in chinatown-

As for this trip to Kinokuniya, I actually went there with a purpose! I wanted to get volume 2 of the Mushishi manga, and the June issue of Pati Pati (because of these beautiful pics [scans by dream_berry on LJ] ...I swear Hyde is getting younger. Seriously o.o;; He's definitely prettier

) and mum asked me to get some more of these sticker things she got last time.

Well... things didn't quite go according to plan. I couldn't find Mushishi vol.2 or Pati Pati (I was more devasted about the magazine really... I'd normally be happy just with scans, but Laraku just look so gorgeous I wanted my own copy ^^) however: I did find some other goodies

Coz that's how I am, if I can't find what I wanted to buy, I'll buy something else XD Especially if I went all the way to Sydney for it!

Coz I can't read the kanji for the different sections of the japanese part of Kinokuniya, and I forgot to bring the little map I printed off the website telling me where the book was... it's a miracle I found this. But I'm so glad I did (and that I memorised the ~~simple~~ kanji that make up its title). I know it's in japanese, but it's my goal to be able to read it. Plus, I'm supporting Gackt by buying it, ne? ^^

Of course, there were other things that I could have got too, but I didn't want to spend that much money. Well, for a start, here's half a report on A Night in Fantasia, that concert I went to and rambled about in my last journal (oh-so-long ago... yeah, I'm bad at keeping stuff updated). Half a report coz I haven't got around to finishing it yet (imageshack was being a bitch). So feel free to check it out, there's quite a bit of rambling though, and I didn't even get up to the good bits XDDD Most of the pics are thumbnails, so dial-up users need not fear ^^ I can say that coz I am one, lol. Of course, if you don't want to read my ramblings (or can't wait for me to finish) them all my pics/scans are uploaded at my photobucket (well, one of my accounts anyway) but there's no real descriptions on there, so if you want descriptions (minus much rambling) then go here to my facebook album, it's supposedly a public link so even if you don't have facebook you should be able to see. Eto... let's see, what else.... Ah! Jess (~Eyespiral) - how could you go to NY and not take a pic of the Apple store there?! It's a giant glass cube, like the one in Reece's animation! ...which you probably haven't seen, since you left before it was finished

(Most of you can stop reading here... unless you really want to read my fangirling) OK, long story short: There's an episode of Hey!x3 from last year that had Nightmare on it, so I downloaded it. Turns out I got a copy of the whole show

but Naito were only on for 5 mins or so ;_; (though Hitsugi freaking out the hosts with his piercings was worth it, oh yes XD ).

Anyway, the guys that were on for most of the show, OMG you'd love them! I'd normally refrain from this kind of language, but this calls for it: kawaii desu ne~~! *insert much fangirlish squeeing here* they are so cute! They're a duo called WaT (if you've heard of them? I hadn't but I've been researching since ^^ kekeke) which stands for Wentz and Teppei (their names are Eiji Wentz & Teppei Koike) and they are just... just... *squees* I swear, I've been squeeing for a good 24hrs straight coz of them, lol. Not to mention singing the song they performed on Hey!x3... it's catchy darn it! (Oh noes, j-pop is dragging me in

Quick, I need a dose of j-rock to bring me back to the real world, stat! XD lol) Oh, and Eiji is half japanese, half german/american. It's a good mix, I assure you XD (though he only speaks japanese). Oh, and they're only a year or 2 older than me

You should all go look on youtube for L'Arc~en~Ciel's recent performance of their new single, "Seventh Heaven" on Music Station. NOW. *prods* I managed to get the clip I had onto my PSP (my poor Pismo can't handle playing videos so well... and I couldn't wait til I got back to my G4) and I've pretty much been watching it on loop ever since XD It's so catchy! Plus pirate!Hyde's dancing, OMG

He just seems so happy, and he's waving his arms around, and shaking his hips... XDDD I can't explain it, you have to see it, lmao. ~~though I still lament the loss of his cute crooked teeth, at least he seems happier and doesn't hide behind the microphone so much now~~.

And while I'm recommending Laraku vids, there's a performance of Hitomi no Jyuunin that's awesome too... no lip synching (coz that just doesn't happen on japanese tv, why can't western tv learn from that?) and Hyde can still hit THAT note o.O;; It's totally impressive. Regarding my little ~~crappy~~ competition, I only got one entry, so I'll leave that going until next week, I don't have time to think about it now anyway. See here for details if you don't know what I'm on about.

As for what's been happening, other than doing work, not muhc has been happening. Other than last thursday, which was an all round awesome day. Why? Well, various reasons :3 the main ones being as follows:

KH2:FM+ got released. Hopefully my copy will be here sometime during next week, and then I'll have my easter break to play it X3

Paul Greene @ UniBar (3rd time in as many years). Yet another freaking awesome show, the man never disappoints. Plus when I was talking to him after, apparently its "wicked" that I come from Culburra and live at Weerona (Paul just moved to Culburra, and he gave a shout out to Weerona at the end of his show - he's a big supporter of us, we're big supporters of him ^^). And he gets extra points for having an adorable daughter (she's about 2 1/2 yrs old and so darn cute!) :3

International food night at Weerona. OMG so much food o.o and so freaking good. Everyone was walking around after saying "omg I'm so full" XD Plus I nabbed a plastic cup full of cashews

I'm finished my multimedia assignment! Packrat discovered he still had the code from his (last year) up on his webspace, so he gave that to me (and pointed out what was wrong with it so that I didn't do the same mistakes). Thanks to him, I pretty much fixed mine. It shows an image, plays music on loop, and sort of animates some text, and the animation resets on a mouseclick. I actually have FINISHED an assignment using JAVA

booyah~! And it's graphics stuff, not just number crunching (or files) like every other program I've ever done

I'm so pleased!

So yeah, thursday was awesome. Friday was fun too, Reece organised a "best of YouTube" night, he set up his imac in the tv room and connected it to the projector and watched funny youtube vids for about 3 hours (and totally obliterated Reece's uni quota, since it was fastest to stream the videos over the wireless network XD hehe). Afterwards I helped him carry his iMac (& peripherals) back to his room, and we started talking about anime... and I found out that he had a copy of the first Death Note movie. So we ended up sitting and watching that for the rest of the night (and into the next morning, techically

) Good times XD

Though getting up early the next morning to catch a train to Sydney wasn't fun. But I did go to Kinokuniya and get my ticket to "A Night in Fantasia", so hurrah! I'm going to get to meet Yoko Shimamura

Plus I bought another volume of Megatokyo, and vol.1 of Mushishi (good manga, will ahve to bribe the anime off Reece). And whilst wandering through chinatown, I found a place that sells asian DVDs and stuff, and picked up copies of the second Death Note movie, and the NANA movie ^^ (probably bootlegs, but meh...). And got more pocky, because you can never have too much pocky XD

Anyway... gotta go, Rove Live will be on shortly, I don't want to miss Rove's return! (for the unaware, his wife, Belinda Emmet, died of breast cancer last year - she'd been fighting it for years. After that he cancelled his show for the rest of the year, but it returns tonight!). And then I need to head back up to the 'Gong D:

On the plus side, I may have worked out why my dial up stopped working - I don't think I can dial out from my phone (I tried ringing my mobile and got a busy signal (like when I try dialing up the net), but I was holding it in my hand, so...) So, I think a trip to Rene (the guy in the office at Weerona) is on order. I need to pay some rent anyway >.>;;

Because I woudln't mind heading out to the show again this year (went last year with some friends) but I've really got no one, they're either overseas *cough*~Eyespiral*cough*, working, or I don't really have contact with them. And I don't really want to go by myself, that's boring XD But it's not going to kill me if I miss the show, I at least got to go to the Nowra Show (Aargh ~Shars I'm still kicking myself over how chicken I was XDDD)

Hello all, I'm back at home on yet another weekend (though it's nearly over), and really only here because of that damn election... stupid rules/laws.

Anyway, as the title says, and as I mentioned last week, I'm going to little competition. Emphasis on little. I don't know what I'm going to do for prizes yet, and I can assure you this won't require much effort on your parts ^^

The Rules:
Well, since this is more for my own amusement than anything, there's not much to this. No artistic skill is required, but you may fare better if you know a little about me

All you have to do, is to pick out as many things/people as you can that reside on my "Worship Wall". That's it. Just tell as many as you can. The person who can pick out the most wins. It's that simple :3

All you have to do is take a look, see how many of the pictures of stuff you can recognise (some are easy to spot, some are a little harder to work out), and send me a note telling me what they are.

Since there's not much to this, I'm giving everyone until the end of the month or so. To be more precise, lets say... don't send me notes any later than 5pm (AEST), Sunday 1st April, 2007. Cutest thing EVER X3 Takanori is too darn adorable <3 It doesn't have subtitles though T^T so I have no idea what they are saying, but they looked like they were having a damn good time XD And considering that Takanori was supposed to be interviewing Gackt, he did most of the ~~laughing~~ talking himself

Ah, good times ^^ Japanese shows are so much more interesting than ours... I swear if they broadcasted Utaban (or any of the others) here, I would watch them pretty much religiously XD Oh, that reminds me... apparently Rove LIVE is coming back on on April 1st (or so Wendy told me?) so I can get back to watching that religiously

Though now it's on sundays at 8.30pm instead of tuesdays at 9.30pm or something o.O; Oh well, when it was on tuesdays it clashed with supper so I never got to watch it anyway >.<

I can't think of much else to say right now, so I might leave it at that ^^ Back to procrastinating by mindlessly surfing the net XD

Coz we all know they suck anyway D:

So yeah... no internet is driving me nuts, especially because I kind of need it to do some stuff for my multimedia subject (we're supposed to do the tutorials on Sun's Java site) as well as I wouldn't mind being able to google some help for my algorithms assignment, but 120mb of quota isn't going to get me far (that's all that's left out of my 400mb, that was supposed to last me all session. UoW is pretty stingy with quota... though we used to only get 100mb per session, so 400mb isn't so bad in comparison, but still...)

So, even if I had something to submit (which I don't, via a combination of being lazy with art & needing to do my darn assignments) I don't really have a means to, unless I go home... but if I do that, I can only take my laptop (the G4 is far too big & heavy) and it's really slow, plus my mum's scanner is worse than mine (and anyway, my pismo won't recognise her printer/scanner, which is stupid coz mum's is exactly the same as mine! o.O )

In more happy/interesting news, I'm having so much fun playing Daxter on my PSP, and FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus on my PS2 lately

Though I need to get a memory card for my PSP (and the guy in the EB in Wollongong totally tried to rip me off... the guy at the one at home said the 1Gb cards were $75 (though they didn't have any), the guy in W'gong said they were $99.95 - plus he reckoned they were SD cards (I thought they were Memory Stick Duo or something?) so I get the feeling he didn't know what he was on about, or was hoping I didn't. So I think I'll be looking elsewhere...) at the moment I'm progressing by the fact I discovered if I turn off my PSP and leave the game in as it was, when I turn it back on it's at the same place X3 But Daxter is so cute and fun though, even if I get totally pwned in nearly every dream sequence XDDD my hand/eye coordination isn't so good, lmao.

DoC is fun too, even if I don't know wtf the story is (it's in japanese! I at least worked out the menu and what the potions/weapons are) though I did find a site with the japanese game script translated into english, but without internet I can't look at it >.< Oh well, at least I saved the walkthrough to my computer. I'm totally going to work out how to get all those G reports things so I can see Gackt - that's my goal~! XD

Uh... yeah. I've now had at least one lecture for each of my classes, and I'll quickly expand on what I've said already:

Systems: Daniel is a nut, and that's why he's so awesome XDDD Boring as hell subject, but our lecturer (the aforementioned Daniel) keeps ranting on about stuff and/or trying to make people buy macs

PLus he was horrified to find a "generation gap" between us and him

(ie he was talking about some computer thing that was around when he grew up, and no one knew what he was on about... but it's not like he's that much older than us, he can't be more than 30 - he graduated (from UoW) in 2000. Hence why he was horrified at the thought of a generation gap XD Poor Daniel, lol).

Algorithms: Dear. GOD. One lecture of this was like sitting through ext.1 maths again o.O; Series, combinations, permutations, and probability

I mean, it's not like it's hard (well, not for me anyway

I was always good at maths) but I've already done this crap about 3 times! Oh well, at least we aren't doing pseudocode for a while, I guess *pulls out Ext.1 summary book* ... *sighs*

Multimedia: this is probably gonna be the hardest subject I'm doing (damn Java! damnit all!

) but at least it seemed interesting. I mean, we make our own (mini!) version of photoshop, and muck around with quicktime (and finally, labs on macs!

) How cool is that?!

Human Computer Interface: this one seems ok... it's a 3rd year subject though (the rest of mine are 2nd year) so I know it'll be a bit harder. It's about interface design and stuff. Oh, and Reece and Packrat (~LordPackRat) are doing this one too, but I don't think they're on my tutorial, which sucks coz the assignments are done in groups of 3-4 with people in your tutorial. Dammit Reece why didn't you say you were gonna do this one?! *headdesk* Oh well... it's probably better for my health if I don't work with Reece anyway, I'm less likely to want to bang my head on the nearest wall/desk without him XD

So yeah... killer subjects, have to wait and see how it goes. Wish me luck...

Oh well.

I can't even remember what I was going to say now... eh. Anyway, last week my orders from Madman arrived, so I've got my copies of the January & February (2007) Newtype magazines, and there was some interesting things in both of them that I scanned in and want to share ^^ Though most of them are for ~Jinnizzle's benefit

And I've already put them up in my LJ, so if you read that you've seen 'em already (~_^)b

Oh, and I'll just put thumbnails, click them for the full size versions. Well, though truthfully the "full size" ones are reduced size ones ...you don't want to know how big the actual scans are XD But I made them so that they should be big enough to read any print on them, and (hopefully) so that they won't take quite so long to load. But they are relatively large, especially the full page scans (or nearly full page, the pages were slightly bigger than my scanner >.> bah) so if you have dial up ~~like me atm~~ they will still take a while

Crash course for why having Daniel is exciting: he's nuts XDDD He's the resident "mac guy" on campus (has a tendency to try and make people buy a mac), he's one of the younger lecturers (graduated from UoW in 2000... he said so in the last lecture), and he's such a geek, LMAO. He almost puts Reece to shame (I do mean almost. Reece is pretty bad, I don't think Daniel has a webcomic proving what a geek he is XD lol). Not to mention, apart from being a lecturer at UoW, he's also the Director General of Computing something-or-other at ANSTO (the nuclear reactor out at Lucas Heights) as well as being involved with Apple. But seriously, he's hilarious, I swear I was writing down funny things he said as much as I was writing notes on the lecture XD I'm gonna put them on my LJ sometime.

So yeah, at least the classes I've been to so far seem interesting (or the lecturers do), have to wait and see what the other 2 are like. But it's still gonna be a fair bit of work this session D:

Anyway, I didn't have class today (I would normally have 2 computer labs, but they don't start until week 2) so I went up to Sydney again ^^ Didn't get to chinatown this time (I wanted to catch one of the express trains back, and I ran out of time to walk over to chinatown) but I had a ball in Kinokuniya

I really wish they had one of them down here, seriously. I spent over an hour in there, I think X3 AND I found some cool stuff. I only went in there to get the 2 volumes of Gankutsuou I needed (and I did get them) but I also at one point randomly looked at this shelf, and lo and behold, there was some FMA books there... so now I own one of the artbooks (zomg pretty Arakawa pics!!

) and the anime profiles book. I could have got the manga profiles book too, but there was 2 of them on the shelf so I figured that could wait, they were hidden pretty well. And in the japanese magazines/stuff I found another one, but it was really well hidden on the bottom shelf (and I only saw it coz I was randomly scanning the stuff, even though I can't read japanese other than a few characters, but I recognised the kanji for ""Hagane no Renkinjutsushi" ^^ hehe) so I don't think it'll be geing anywhere anytime soon either. I also got the second Megatokyo book (I got the first one last time) because there was only one copy

And I found this cool shop down in the bottom of the Victoria Galleries (where Kinokuniya is, though it's on the 2nd level) between JB Hifi & EB Games, that had all these anime figurines and stuff, I founf a FFX Yuna play arts figure in there for just under $30, which I thought was awesome coz in Kinokuniya she was at least $40 (the only reason I didn't give any of the play arts figures in Kino a home was the pricetag...) so she came home with me as well ^^ Though I really was tempted to give the Cloud in Kino a home, since I have Tifa, but... maybe Tifa would like a girl, since all my other figures are guys (Axel, Roxas, Ed...) XD Haha I'm such a geek, considering the feeling of my figures, rofl.

I'm in a different room at college this year, on B3 instead of A2 (the buildings at Weerona are "A block", "B block" & "C block", and the floors are labelled 1, 2 & 3, so I'm on the 3rd floor of B block ^^).

My room's ok, not too small, though I need to get them to switch the bed because I got a long one (there was a tall guy in here last year) and I can't open my cupboard door all the way becuase the bed is too long, and hence I can't open the drawers situated in the cupboard... but that's a minor detail and Rene (dude in the office) said that he can get Kim (maintenance guy) to switch for a normal sized bed, so it's cool

And my room is pretty much right next to the bathroom at this end of the floor, so that's cool too (yes, we have shared bathrooms... seems strange, but trust me, you get used to it). And Phillippe (nice French guy) is my floor tutor (basically, he's in charge of this floor) so that's good as well, I'm sad it's not Simone (my friend, and tutor from first session last year) but she's only over on C3 so it's easy to visit her

Once I've sorted out my room (put up posters/pics/etc) I could take a picture or two and post them up, if people are interested in seeing? (which I'm sure Kai would be

)

However, I don't really have much in the way of internet just yet (I'm accessing the internet via the uni network, so I'm using some of my precious quota (we get 400mb per session) in order to write this and check DA...). So don't expect too much from me for a while, though tomorrow I'm going to go sort my phone out so that I can at least use dial up. Then maybe I'll see if Chariot is still as expensive (Chariot is the ISP that services the uni's residences, and they're damn expensive, and you don't really get much from it >.> )

Anyway... yeah. Don't expect much from me for a while. Though maybe I'll use the time that I'd normally spend surfing the net to draw stuff, all in the name of procrastination, probably XD At least I've got a fair supply of anime and such to keep me going for a while, I bought Box sets of King of Bandit Jing (love it, but didn't own it) and Fruits Basket the other day

And I got vol. 11 & vol.12 of FMA as well (JB Hifi didn't have vol.13, or the ones of Gankutsuou and Eureka Seven that I need D: boo...), and if my orders from Madman ever arrive I'll have the limited edition version of Conqueror of Shambala, as well as Ouran Host Club manga and a couple of Newtype mags. Huzzah! X3

Plus I've been meaning to rewrite (well, write my own would be more accurate) the css for my livejournal, the layout I have at the moment is ok but there's a few things that are bugging me *hauls out css/html textbook* I'll work it out, I have nothing better to do XD And I'm thinking of taking a trip up to Chinatown, check out the Chinese New Year celebrations and ~~find Kinokuniya, and somewhere that sells pocky~~ all that. That reminds me, Happy Year of the Golden Pig everyone!

Eh, while I'm rambling, perhaps some thoughts from people regarding cosplays... you see, I'm thinking about doing some cosplays this year. Well, I did some last year too, but they sucked as they were kind of last minute jobs (though my mum did pretty well considering ^^) and I want to be more prepared this time. Coz I get a few chances throughout the year to dress up :3 Apart from the obvious Supanova, quite a few of the events at my college give good opportunities (and I don't care if no one knows who I'm dressed as XD haha).

So, I'm here's some that I'm considering so far, and thoughts and feedback are appreciated <3

Kairi (pink dress from KH2) ... I'd need a wig for her though, I don't think I'd dye my hair bright red >.>

A gothic-lolita-ish version of Asuka from Evangelion - I like that outfit, 'nuff said X3

Kyouya from Ouran Host Club - though I'd definitely need a wig for him

At least I'd still be able to wear my glasses! Could do this at Supanova (for fun!), especially if ~Jinnizzle still wants to do a Nekozawa... providing you're able to come to Supanova of course Jess ^^

Alternatively, Renge from Ouran is also a possibility... she'd be fun

Nothing much has been happening... I was helping mum out at the uniform shop at my old high school (mum runs it) and got paid, so I have money

yayz. Some of it will probably go to a PSP, I'm thinking about getting a japanese one off Play-Asia, because the asian ones come in really cool colours (like blue!) whereas aussie ones are either black or white, and the games are apparently region free so it doesn't matter (and I couldn't care less about the UMD movies, honestly). So yeah... some of my ~~hard earned~~ money will probably go to that, the rest probably to uni fees. If I can ever find out what I'm supposed to pay >.>

Uh.. yeah. Nothing much else exciting to report at the moment. I move back to Wollongong next saturday, the 17th (no more unlimited broadband T^T boo). The Nowra Show is tomorrow though (uh... it's kinda like a county fair or something? I don't know what an american/international equivalent would be... but it's agricultural stuff, and rides, and all kinds of fun things

) so that's probably my excitement for the next 6 months or so sorted out (until Supanova Sydney, anyway).

Oh, and I need to do some Valentine's pics as gifts for people :3 So keep an eye out. And keep an eye on my scraps too, I put a couple of sketches in there just before ^^ Oh! And I need to get round to doing those Ouran pics for ~Jinnizzle sometime... I forgot about that! *headdesk* How could I forget anything about Ouran?

I don't really have much to report at this point in time. During the week I've been helping mum at the uniform shop at my old high school (she runs the uniform shop, and opens for most of the last 2 weeks of the school holidays so new students can get the uniform) and I'm getting paid to help, so that's not too bad XD Rather boring though. Other than that... doing what I normally do, sitting at my computer either surfing the net, reading manga, or watching anime and stuff

I'm still currently obsessed with Death Note (and not just coz Mamoru is Light >.> *cough*) ...I wish it got released quicker. But I've got the manga now though, so I'm working my way through that, and I'm still reading the Ouran Host club manga as well. And KH:CoM manga. Yes, I like reading manga

Haven't really done much in the way of art though... mostly been making icons in photoshop from my tons of scans and pics of Hyde, Gackt and Mamo, or from screencaps or whatever. Though Valentine's Day is coming up (oh noes, commercial holiday! XD) so maybe I'll do something for that (any suggestions?

). And OMG I nearly forgot about Winter-Een-Mas again o.o (don't know what that is?) hmm... well I have a sketch of Jak X I can finish for that, it'll do ^^

I go back to uni on the 17th of February (yeah, we had a huge ass holiday). I'm still helping mum for the next week, but after that it still leaves about 2 weeks where I'm going to be bored stiff. Gah. Who knows, maybe I'll get up off my butt and do something vaguely productive in that time. Or maybe not XD

Uh... yeah. Still a few weeks until I move back to Wollongong for uni, I'm thinking that during o-week (orientation week, which doesn't really involve me, since I'm 2nd/3rd year) I might take a trip up to Sydney and check out Chinatown (since I now know it's not that far from Central station) and also try and find that Kinokuniya bookstore (supposedly much awesomeness), and see if I can find some manga that EB no longer stock, if I can't buy them direct from Madman (seems EB don't get in any new anime or manga anymore, the one on Wollongong had even less than the one down here WTF). So yeah, if anyone wants me to keep an eye for stuff in chinatown for them, give me a shout (though it won't be til after the 17th of Feb). Plenty of time yet ^^

Hm... Oh yeah, everyone should go check out ~Eyespiral's plot outline for her novella, and the couple of excerpt chapters she has up. Jess's writings are always good (well, she is doing Creative Writing

) and her idea for a novel is awesome. So go check it out, or at least give her lots of love, even though she doesn't come on DA often. She's in Canada at the moment on exchange, and (judging from the 6 page email she sent me o.o;; ) she had quite an ordeal in getting there (mum thought it would have broken a lesser woman to go through what Jess did XD). So I think she deserves a bit of love *showers Jess with love and affection* Miss you!

(and yes ~Jinnizzle, you aren't the only Jess I know on DA XD and definitely not the only one in real life, lol)

Alrighty then, 6 weird things about me:

1) I'm pale, and don't tan at all (just like you ~Jinnizzle!) I just get sunburnt really badly.
2) Again, similar to you ~Jinnizzle, I was really blonde as a kid (and I mean like, white blonde kinda blonde) but now my hair is a dark blonde. It just happened naturally o.o (I wish it'd go darker >.> )
3) I'm a perfectionist. That probably explains why I don't upload much on here, I tend to ditch a lot of sketches and stuff because I don't think they're good enough

4) I'm a MacAddict. Which isn't weird to me, but probably is to most other people -_-; I dunno, my primary school only had macs so I never really used windows until high school. Plus knowing Reece probably doesn't help XD
5) I'm long sighted, and have had to wear glasses since I started kindergarten. Not that weird I guess, but my prescription and Reece's (he's short sighted) nearly cancel each other out XD The boys found that out one day when they were playing with our glasses, lol.
6) I like sweet things and sour/bitter things, but I can't stand anything even remotely spicy >.>;

I dunno XD I didn't think it was going to be so hard to think up 6 weird things about me, lol. I thought I was pretty weird, but maybe not so much

Yes! For those who don't know, Mamo-chan is the voice of Tamaki in Ouran Host Club, and I just found out he's Light (Raito?) in Death Note as well ^^ and he's also Riku in the Japanese version of KH/KH2. I saw a clip and I was like "omg Tamaki is Riku o.o" XD

I've also decided I must have a thing for pretty boys X3 examples... Mamoru, Gackt and of course Hyde (he's prettier than most girls!!)

That reminds me, still need to watch Moonchild >.>; Hyde & Gackt ftw!

Meh, pointless entry really, I just wanted to get the last one off my page. I'm planning some fanart though ^^ I watched the Little Mermaid yesterday for like, the first time in years (that movie is nearly as old as me, lol). It's pretty much my fav Disney movie (if I had such a thing, I own pretty much every disney movie on either VHS or DVD -or both- and I love most of them!)

Anyway, I feel like drawing some fanart for it. And for the sequel (which, like most disney sequels, was kinda cheesy, but I liked it anyway. Max Casella was the little penguin that helps Melody! Kwee~!

I'm not really one for new years resolutions, but all the same I'm going to try and do more art this year (after all, I need the practice ^^). And to anyone I still need to finish pics for (~Jinnizzle, and my friend Michael) rest assured I haven't forgotten, but I should be getting some supplies tomorrow (art shop was closed over xmas/new year) and I'll have them done asap!

In other news, I'm thinking of buying a new phone (not that I really need a new one, but... meh XD) and, being the tightarse I am (well I am a uni student after all) I'm looking on ebay. Now, there's 2 phones on there I have my eye on, but I have a dilemma. While the phones themselves are quite similiar (both have quad band, bluetooth, mp3 ringtones, camera, etc) the main difference is that one is bright red, the other is black. And me, being the loony I am, like naming my appliances (my main computer is Mutsumi, my iPod is Rikku, and my graphics tablet is Mamimi

) and I can't think of a good name for the red one. Which is a pity, coz it's got the bigger hold on me right now since it comes with a charger and stuff but I'd have to buy a charger etc for the black one.

I suppose I should put some pics in here so people can see what I'm on about.

Now, I don't really mind the colour, but damned if I can think of a name. "Ed" is the first thing that springs to mind, since it's small and red *shot* BUT *Keysha-chan already has the "small red phone named Ed" thing covered

The only other thing I can come up with is Ichigo (ie, strawberry) but seeing as the phone is apparently "candy apple red", I dunno XD

If I end up getting it (not sure, I like it but I don't want to have to buy a charger D: bah) he shall be called Kyouya X3 Coz it's black, and Kyouya is the "shadow king" of Ouran High School Host Club (my 'anime of the moment', if you will ^^). Plus, Kyouya sounds cool

So, my question is, which phone do you think I should get, and what could I call the red one if I get it? Keeping in mind, there's not much difference between the two phones other than the colour

Hah, my lame titles know no bounds. Yes, that is the title of a L'Arc~en~Ciel song, because I can't get enough of them and Hyde's voice totally pwns. Especially at this one part in New World. I *adore* Hyde ^^ He's so pretty X3 As well as, y'know, having a dead sexy voice and all that.

Aaaanyway, it roughly translates to "Invitation of Freedom" (I think), and this journal is about free stuff, so I thought it was appropriate

Tifa was $40, I payed $30. Axel was $60, but he was 25% off, so I payed $45 (figures rounded for the sake of my sanity). How sweet is that?!

Guess who's going back next week when she get centrelink to get Roxas? ^^

I'll put photos up later, when I've taken some. Coz I'm a geek like that XD

Well... I gave in and went and got Roxas yesterday instead of next week XD I'm gonna have the same amount of money in my account in the end, so I figured what the heck. And Roxas was on sale too 25% off. Sweet. Sora can wait a few weeks, I don't want him as much So now my figures collection contains:
- a bunch of Final Fantasy gashapon things (Vincent, Selphie, Tidus, Tifa, Rikku, Zidane, and some random guy in a suit I can't identify)
- Tifa Lockheart (Advent Children style)

Alright, today on a whim I went into my local EB Games to see how up to date on manga/anime they were (since I'm totally behind, turns out they are too

good thing I have a stash of anime coming my way courtesy of Madman's 10th anniversary sale

). Anyway, I was absolutely freakin' stoked to find that they have a decent selection of figurines/action figures in there now

I was less than stoked at the prices however.

Aaaaanyway (I say anyway a lot, heh), they have Kingdom Hearts II Play Arts figures!!! Like, Axel (ZOMG

), Roxas, Sora and Kairi. See here or here for examples if you don't know what I'm on about (forgive me whoever's sites I took the pics from, at least I didn't hotlink! [/dodgy attempt at credit]). Well, as per usual EB, they aren't cheap (about $60 each WTF) so, in my poor uni student (on holidays and not getting as much centrelink! T_T) status, I can only really afford one

My problem is, which one?!

This is where you [the reader] come in ^.^ Any suggestions? Help? Support for me and my mental anguish of really wanting at least two of them *cough*guess which two*cough* and only being able to get one?

Oh, and they had a Tifa Lockheart one that is about $35 (or something similar, much cheaper than I've seen her -and nearly bought her for- on eBay!) so I think I'll get her. Coz Tifa's awesome, and though she's bigger than the KH2 ones, she's cheaper

So there's about $100 of my *cough*hard earned*cough* cash gone, if I can ever decide which of the KH ones I like most! T_T

Oh, and speaking of bigger figurines, I have an Ed Elric figurine, and all these others (KH & Tifa) are all bigger than him by quite a bit *snickers* Poor Ed, he's *cough*SHORT*cough* XD I need to get him Al to keep him company, I think :3
