I'm trying to get back into the swing of things with some TDF badges, but it's kind of hard, because all I've wanted to draw is people lately. I've ingested to urge and improved, and now I'm hellbent on drawing Quill hyooman :o
I have a bunch of doodles of my friends, and stuff I've drawn randomly I might get around to putting up (Like, Jonnie Dickhands), but I need to get sweet on my coloring and whatnot again. I'm also now still nerdy over the Hunchback of Notre Dame, so expect nerdy fanarts maybe in a while.

Summer's almost here, so expect much more of that hopefully in the future.

We got a lot of work done, but nothing seemed as fun as last year. I have this sick feeling they pushed us too hard. Our Low Brass instructor was in our faces all the time and made us stand in perfect attention or horns up for an entire four hour evening rehearsal on the field. It hurt SO MUCH, in the first rehearsal of the day, during basics, I'm at one point crying. I couldn't really leave either, becuase we were always cleaning and learning new charts. I didn't want to do it, but I didn't want to be left behind.

Maybe that's what band camp's supposed to be about, but I just know it didn't really get fun for me unless I was chilling with Warren or on skit night. The seniors gave their final goodbyes on their last night of band camp, and came around to each cabin afterwords and played taps.
They told us about what band meant to them,and all this crazy emotional stuff. I've never seen so many people crying at once x.x

I did get to chill with Warren, though, but I ended up wandering around by myself at nights a lot because his friend (who he's turned down twice, I might add) hangs all over him.
The girl was a bitchface that needs to be punched in the ovaries anyway. Otherwise, there were no real problems with my cabin.

About our show, last year we didn't even have the whole opener on the field. This year, we have all the way up until half the closer. I just got back yesterday and there's a football game later today; we're marching the opener at half time.

Not looking forward to that. :/

Sad news, I don't know if I'll be going to band camp on the 25th due to money issues.
Not to sound like a mooch, but I guess I'm going to talk to my director about it. It hasn't sunk in yet, so I haven't been totally crushed over it. Yet :P
If I don't go to band camp, not only will I not be in the marching band, I will be kicked from Symphonic Winds, our top concert band, since Marching Band's a prerequisite. Not to mention it won't exactly be fun staying home while all my friends are partying it up and learning drill and stuff. : \

Firstly, my computers fixed and we're back with Window's XP.

I went to the beach and we almost got kidnapped by a man with a hat, and a Christian youth group tried to save us :]
Eventful day.

As for art, don't expect much. I haven't drawn anything really pretty to show off, just stuff that makes sense to me and whatnot. I've been honing my watercolor skills though, so that might be all I';ll show for awhile. Things like "Waiting for the Thundershower".


And my dreads are looking great.

Since things are going good, all I need is a boy and I'll be all set this summer :D

Not to whine, but I felt like writing it out again.
It's on la Trueform message boards.

So I've been really tearing myself to peices over someone . I've been so concerened and connected to this person, but got next to nothing of the sort in return. So he's graduating. Now that's probably a good thing, because I won't be emotionally attached to him like that anymore. I don't think he wants to keep in touch over the summer.

It turns out now that one of the people I respect in the tuba section (for marching band), and one that needs to get punched in the voicebox on six different levels, think I'm "the most concited bitch I've ever met in my life," "You think you're the shit and you're not. You're not better than us", and that they all didn't like me and stuff.

So I was crying about how marching band was gonna suck next year, and that I wanted to quit.

The good news is there is a new tuba player coming in who is a friend of a friend. He's attractive. I'd like to get the new kid's friends on my side, and possibly go out with this kid.

I'd like to, but I'm afraid the new kid won't like me and this year will be a repeat of last year, except 5/6 tubas will hate me, whereas last year I didn't think they thought I was concited and whatnot.

With people I didn't suspect at all turning out to hate me, and friends IMing me with childish insults daily, it makes me paranoid, to say the least. It makes me think my friends hate me.
It makes me worry that the kid will hate me because of my hair now too, on top of my lack of friends and utter social retardation.

I don't know how to improve my chances for getting with this new guy, because anyone I've ever felt any sort of attraction for either turns out to hate me in the end, or never liked me the same way to begin with.

I don't want to die old and lonely, guys =/

I don't think the community needs a "Therianthropy: for dummies" book; no. I was flipping through the Werelibrary yesterday, and I realized something.
All this time I've been trying to channel stuff that I expirences and learned and felt by disguising it in fiction. Writing about werewolves, vampires, crazy serial murderers... And I wanted people to read that.
But now, as I examine my own continuing awakening as many weres before me have done, that could be a book in itself.



Picture this; a memoir, starting out when I'm like, eightish with a bit of a backstory to it, and the proceeding to present day. That's a lot of ground to cover.
And I don't need to plan out what happens, it already did. Some of the subjects would be covered would be shifting expirences, finding the community, VOEN/EMS, Fluffbusting, vampirism, more soul searching, Dire Wolves, telling my family, living in a house with no freedom that was quite haunted, "weredar", Animal totems, and more.

I'd use pictures, journal entries, excerpts from old conversations, old fourm posts and more to get a real sense of how I felt at that particular point in my life.


But like, I dounno if I'm the right person to write it or not. I'd like to, but maybe a smarter expirenced person could do it better. But then, it was m personal idea, it's my path to hapiness.
Then there's the thing it people would read it or not. I personally would, but I don't know about everyone else.
Then it almost seems concited, writing about myself. But I'm doing it now, so waht does it matter?

People write books about how they were crack addicts and they overcame they're addictions, and girls who turned bulemic. Hell, didn't Ted Bundy even write one?

In other news, I'm in another one act play-within-a-play comedy of Romeo and Juliet as Count Paris. I argue with Shakespere in the beginning and in the play within a play, my pants get to fall down. Haha. I get to go shopping for weird boxers on Tuesday.

We had tag day for band yesterday; where you stand outside a grocery store in uniform and ask for donations. We took it a step further and played; we got aproximately 150 dollars within three hours, and believe that's a new record :3

So I did attend the meeting with the library lady, and I made it. I'm not only going to have my art up there, I'm going to get publicity from several major papers, local TV, and have an opening banquet! I rather excited.

I guess it went well; there was an older woman walking behind me and I held the door for her, and apparently that was Lois, the woman running the whole spheel.
She looked at my art when I put it out on a table, and said I was talented and blah blah blah. Then a random guy looked at them, and then the librarian looked at them, to see what they would potentioally be displaying. They all told me I was good, but the librarian showed a real appreciation for my style, and asked me how I got effects out of some things.
They also asked if "I was an art major somwhere" xD


But, I was dissapointed because I took a slightly different bunch than I anticipated. I was going to show them Thunder's giftart and the new backdrop for my fishtank, but I ended up taking "A new way to look at Life" (more background has since been added) and "The thing that should not be" instead =/

Whatever.

I'm still happy about that. She's supposed to call me within the next week, give me copies of the paperwork, and give me the put-up and take-down dates.

So you'll get uploads maybe this weekend, but for sure over my spring break, when I figure out my scanner. In the meantime, I uploaded my dreamcatcher and a random picture my friend took in the bandroom.

Otherwise, I've been having the weirdest random sensations again, related to therianthropy, and have had to revise my theory about some things I've disscussed. I'l write them out and put them somewhere when I'm done.
I been a bit gloomy too, with the same male related problem I've had for almost a year now, with a bunch of added little stress. I'm hinting at t here because Tawn's not on and I think ten-eleven is a little late to call her on a thursday. I also have to memorize a bunch of scales for Saturday for Honors Band, and I have like, 5 that are melodic minor. I was practicing harmonic minor. I've never even heard of fucking melodic minor! Grr.
And chromatic F in two octaves. Laamme.
Watch me get last chair, I swear to god. I don't even want to go; that's how bad I don't know these scales.

Several of these have been completed specifically created for this occasion; some you've just never seen. Lunar Magick was the only one I artwhored, and pretty much what you'll see is a tribal werewolf, totem animals, and glowy stuff. The loves of my liffee. Depicted are "Dusty" Canis Dirus, A barn owl, an opossum, and more friends.

I started Grove of Owls as my first watercolor/colored pencil combination when I still lived at my other house last year xD This has a cuddly background, but the characters lack my new style, and the shading a little off. But I like it; I don't do all out naturey stuff that often.

Nero was inspired by learning how interesting of an emporor he was when he presided over Rome. Part from Marching Band, part from the history channel. For a brief synopsis, not only was he a self absorbed lunatic nymphomaniac, he was a great admirer of the arts. To repair Rome after the fire, he ordered all the Roman temples robbed of offerings to thier gods to pay for damage and put up massive statues of himself all over the Empire. He also participated in many skits and plays. He kicked his pregnant wife to death, and to make up for that, he often went to massive orgies and spent a lot of time getting drunk. In one of these visits, he met a servant boy which he insisted was a reincated version of his wife; so he ordered this boy to be "made a woman", and he married him. Her. Whatever. The peice is pretty much "Nero fiddled as Rome Burned", but I wanted to capture the insanity and embody the
consequences of ignoring true problems and self-destructive behavior :3

The oriental dragon is intended to be a backdrop for my fishtank after it visits the gallery. He is a gaurdian the Faerie Realm; of the earth, water and sky. He's modeled after traditional oriental gragons, and catfish, my newest friend.
It's kind of in memory of (Dwight) Fry, who died from tail rot and lack of oxygyn =/ We do have two new catfishes, though; Kit and Kat. They're really tiny and adorable :D Everytime I see them, I kind of think they're living embodiments of aquatic dragons; beautiful fish, really.

I do have one more spot open, and I'm concidering "The Future's so Bright", "Another way to look at Life" and "Lady Snowflake". This is all subject to change. Any suggestions or comments or advice appreciated.

I didn't even know we had any sort of 'kin community around here, and poof, pagan store.

That, or a pet store. Even if it was stock or cleaning out cages, tha'd be good.

I need to pay for band camp, plusn some pocket money, so I kninda need something to do soon.


Art wise, the library around here has put out a request for artwork to display in the library. 10-15 peices from one artist for a month at a time. I got up enough courage to give her a call, she took down my name, phone number, media and style, and might give me a call back to come up there and look over what I'm submitting.

I'm submitting some of my better ones like "Reunited", "The Kitchen Floor", and some larger peices. I'd also like to include HC I drew for Thunder, and Blackdawns Draggies, but I won't put them in if I hadn't got them scanned in time. And if you have anything against it, since they're your characters and stuff, just say so. I have no problem with that.

I'm putting the final touches on a peice I started over a year ago called "The Grove of Owls"; I hate the shading and the barn owls look way underdevoloped, but I like the forest scene. Also adding texture to a bigger peice called "Nero", where a psychotic coyote is fiddling away as Rome burns in the background.
If I finish those in time, I was to do a peice with swing dancing Werewolves, and a jazz band.


But I should be working on a narrative for English; since the things that I actually feel I could very well write about, I don't want to, I'm writing about homecoming and the events proceeding it, since I was a damned emotional rollercoaster (and still am, but I've gotten better).

As for stuff I owe people, I think I have an idea of what I'm going to do with Blackdawn's dragon thingy's, and Thunder's HC is already sketched out. Only tihng I keep editing is the face, because kitty faces are hard.

Since I've been listening to a lot of big band and swing lately, because of jazz band, I'm working on a bigbig peice which involves a bunch of werewolves partying it up under the full moon. I haven't drawn something with werewolves and the full moon in a really long time, and the swing dancing poses have me working hard.

As soon as I get the update for my compy later today, I can update you all, once I install my new scanner.

I dounno; I guess I was expecting some sort of miraculous hapiness to come out of the process, but frankly, having it on gives me this faint echo of something I once have, and fustration of the fact it just hangs there.

I was to move it and swing it and clean and and make it feel like a real tail,
but I get this feeling like it's dead and I can't,
becuase it's obviously made of some faux fur and stuffed.
I spent all that time on it and all it's done was depressed me.

I think the only thing that satisfies me about it is the fact that it's cuddly and it swings when I walk becuase I weighted the tip.

Other than that, I guess I'm frankly dissatisfied,
But I'll wear it tommrow to make my friends happy.

I'm depressed now =/

Finals tommrow, 1st and 2nd hour. I need to study for my band one for the day after.

- Practice my jazz band audition (which I haven't yet), and probably the newer music and the Circle of fourths.

I was originally selected to be Grandma, the lead. I decided late that at the time the lines were too much for me to handle, and I talked to a gril I think should have gotten in. She's got the southern accent our director wanted, and she was only an offstage voice advertising for a medication to help anxiety and constant nervousness.

We switched, and I ended up being the offstage voice, the doorbell ringer, the person running the radio (which didn't want to work, ever), moving benches, and whenever someone was absent to rehearsal, I played their part (except on one memorable occasion XD).

It wasn't too good during the 4 matinees during lunch, having people being rude out of the few that went, but th night production went amazingly good.

We get out for Christmas in a week o.o We had to write in letter to the Board of Directors telling them what we wanted for Christmas; I wrote I wanted a boyfriend XD

Other than that, our band director passed out the drum major and section leader applications.
You have to fill out a four page application, listing at least two refrences and at least two stundent leadership expirences. Then you have to write a cover letter explaining why you feel you're right for the posistion of section leader/ drum major, and then write a resume printed on special paper.

I figure what the hell and am going to apply for tuba section leader.
I participated in Peer Mediation last year and the year before, which counts as a student leadership thing. I'm in Symphony band and also Viking Jazz band. I went to honors band. I WROTE the rythmn last years hand drum ensamble performed.
I feel I could pull it off well.

I have a letter of reccomendation from Peer Mediation, and trying to see if I got anything else like that.

I told a former band director of mine in an email I sent out to her work email (listed on her new school's website) all about this and was thanking her for switching me to tuba. I cried as I wrote it, becuase I really do feel like that.
If I was still in the woodwinds, I wouldn't be where I am today.

I may ask her to write me a letter of reccomandation, or ask if I can cite her as a reference; that and my old drama director.

We'll see how things go, though. It's due on the 12th of January.

We went to JoAnn's today, and I gots me some fur for a great deal; I got like, a yard in a half for eleven bucks, when it should have been around twenty-twentyfive.
The fur's actually darkdark brown, almost lke a dark umber, with really thin bluish-green stripes, and white gaurd hairs :3
It almost has a look like a moss/mold.
Why did I get a funky colored fur? For one, they didn't have my colors I needed anyway, and the funky colors I got for cheap.
Plus, it looks really cute :3

I know I can at LEAST get a tail and matching set of ears out of it, and I may try to push for handpaws :3
With the funny colors, I've decided I'm going to be Moldy, Dusty's alter-alter ego XD

Rick Rubin is officially my hero. I had doubts about him at first, but this kind soul is de-laming Metallica.

The little somthing-minor riff to The New Song is horribly catchy; it feels like a new Black Album, with hints of RTL and Justice, but the D tuned guitars remind me of St.Anger.

Come on, I practiced the music like a madman, and just because we didn't have ten dollars for gas, is no reason I shouldn't get to play, seeing as I was at the six hour rehersal on Saturday.

So I showed up and stuff.
The little inside thing going around there was watchign the stage manager trying to capture a sugar glider that had gotten backstage and I was standing around watching his trying to catch the little feller; then I went into the rehersal room, got my stuff out and started warming up.

And I ended up playing because the woman I was supposed to apologize to (and really ended up trying to hide from) noticed I was there as I was walking out to watch the seventh grade band perform.So I was happy and stuff until they started playing.

I don't know quite what it is, but the way the sound system was just scared me so bad; it was like, right in my ear and it sounded too magnified and unnatural. I wanted to crawl down onto the floor and cry, that's how bad it was. It was a combination on the sound board things on the ceiling and the drop lights (little hanging microphones) which made it sound like that, I am told, but I'm not quite fond of it.
So seventh grade is done, yey, clapclapcalp, now the eighth and ninth graders go back to the rehersal room and grab our instruments. We're onstage, everyone finally stoped talking, and we're playing our opening peice "Canticum". I'm good, a little shaken from the sound of seventh grade honors band, but I'm doing okay.While this is going on, the sugar glider from backstage decides to make his apperance by taking a dive at the audience and while we're halfway through the song, the whole auditorium starts talking. That little chatter inside my head is screaming "WTF I'M PLAYING UP HERE >.<". The talking, from then on, just continues, and I can just hear their voices echoing. I don't think they realized that we could hear them, but you could hear our performance level just droop; thats the sickest, rudest, most unnapreciative thing to do to someone is just talk while you're performing.

So I was shaken and pissed now. Everyone was pissed; you could tell even our conductor was pissed. So we did blow the songs that had been totally solid.
And I'm just saying as loud as I can afterwards, "Why were you takling?! We were playing!" And everyones like "OMG U SHOULDA SEEN DA SUGAR GLIDER LOLOLZZZ IT WAS FLYIN!!!"

That was easily my crappiest performance of my band life. I actually got a migrane that started deloloping after I got in the car to go home from the way the sound system was and ended up staying home from school today because of it.
