Happy, happy boy: came down to Virginia Beach this week. She was only here two days, but still. We had wacky adventures with her and her family together, and did neat stuff like making sand feet and land sharks. Also, I think we made a pretty neat detective team at that murder mystery dinner thing. :3 Personally, I still think the best part of the whole thing was sitting together and watching Eureka in their hotel room on the last night. We cuddled~<3 I want to draw something to commemorate the occasion at some point, so look forward to it. :3

Undeserved Civility: A note to whatever mod gets directed here because they got a flag from me mentioning "bannable" (lol, rhymes with Hannibal) sites, neither am I capable of doing anything nor am I in possession of the willingness to do anything even if it were in my power to do so.

I want to be civil here, and I sincerely hope that such an attitude isn't something you people regard as something worth banning.

The Issue As It Stands: A note from a mod, recieved by a source that I will keep confidential.

"I'll be perfectly clear here-

People who spend time on 4chan or 7chan or any other 'raiding' website have worn out their welcome here along with everyone else who decides to assist them in even the slightest way.

We are prepared to take whatever action is necessary to put an end to it and just like with this last sweep we are not going to bother issuing any warnings and second chances are going to be non-existant. You already have two firm strikes against you due to your behavior in June and July of this year-I've spent the last few days debating whether or not you rate a third chance since your last two bans don't seem to have taught you anything about proper behavior on deviantART."

There are many things wrong with the perspective this person is apparently taking, and if they want to ban me for correcting them and telling the truth, God help me let them. There may not be a lot I can do but I can let people now when something's not right.

POINTS THAT THE ADMINS NEED TO KNOW:

A: First of all, you all seem to be under the impression that 4/7chan are in the same categories. What you need to realize is that 4chan BANS invasion discussions. 7chan encourages them. The majority of your bans have been aimed at people who visit 4chan. If you truly wish to shoot first and ask questions later, then what I'm saying doesn't even matter to you right now. If that's the case, I'm really disappointed in these people who claim to be moderators.

B: Second, you assume that EITHER of these sites are actually ORGANIZED in any way. HA. Forced anon makes for tricky business. Both 4chan and 7chan are collective mob mentalities. You can have a peaceful protest, but there's always gonna be 4-5 jackasses who jump the shark. Ban by proxy is just insane, though.

C: Thirdly, you're under the impression that we're all just such horrible subhuman creatures that your bans would cast us into darkness. If you could see better, you'd see that that kind of thing is what's PROVOKING these acts. You're only making it worse. You can say you've tried being civil, but when someone's banned for happening to post something at the same time as one of these so-called "raids", yet nothing has been done by the individual, you need a serious reality check.

STOP BANNING INNOCENT PEOPLE.

I tried being nice, they'll try being belligerent. I hope my method is the one you take seriously, before the other occurs. That's not a threat because like I've said: I can't and won't do anything, but you need to realize what you're doing. It's a plea.

Not like it matters. If I'm not banned I'll be ignored. Hurrah for apathy. e_e

Side-note: To all the other people who watch my journal, sorry about this. Don't ask any questions and don't get involved because I honestly don't feel like explaining it all over again. See you next update.

STRESS: Yeah. I'm tired. There's not much more to it than that.

Well. Except for the fact that I've got work to do, the thought of which only makes me even MORE tired. I'm having trouble writing a 500 word essay. I'm utterly nauseated by the idea that if I hadn't been put back a grade into GenEd Writing, I would have to contend with 5-page essays. Seriously. Utterly nauseated.

As it is I already feel lightheaded in the morning from having to force myself awake and rush out the door without forgetting my medicine and contacts, and I've forgotten meals on a few more occasions than I'll admit out loud.

I'm not sure if I've lost weight (I never weigh myself. Like it matters. My diet is primarily affected by how it'll damage my teeth, since I fear the dentist FAR more than the scale), but I wouldn't doubt it. None of my pants fit without a belt. Only my really old and raggedy ones come close.

My big concern is that all this "adapting" may leave a heavy dent in my GPA before I can get my wings out. If I can't catch up to speed with the way things are at this school, I'll be in big trouble. THe worst part of all is that I'm the only one who can do anything about it. I'm the only one who can remind myself to get things done on time. I'm the only one who can force myself to go to bed at a reasonable hour. I'm the only one who can remind myself to eat. It sounds so easy but I've always sucked at remembering anything. I'd like to think that under pressure, I can get everything done, but there's no pressure here. Just a looming threat overhead that has my grade average hanging by a rope. I didn't prepare myself the way I should have and I admit it now. I should have taken all of my high school assignments more seriously, put more work into them, with college in mind. It's a tortoise and the hare bit. I didn't really have many problems in High School, so I never had to put a lot of work into it. But now, in college, I feel like I just woke up and found that everything else had lumbered on past me in my sleep.

More than that, this particular college has so many overlapping, inane ways of networking information, having teachers post assignments and stuff like that online on a glitchy website, and you pretty much need a different account for each thing. One for your e-mail, one getting all your registration stuff, one to use the computer lab, and this is in addition to anything else you have. If the site where everything gets posted goes down (and I hear it does every Sunday for some inexplicable reason), you can't get your assignments from it until it comes back up. It's not even a uniform system. If ALL of the teachers posted every assignment up on it, that would be one thing, but no, you have to just keep in mind what each teacher does.

But anyway, whatever. It's just another thing that's hard to keep up with. I'll deal with it and work things out like always, right? Hahahah...

There IS Good News, Though: Um... Wait, no, I got it... Uh.... I'm reading The Shining. :3 It's been a long time since I read a paperback book for fun. It's a good book, too. It's a good, healthy way to spend my free time.

Okay, something better... Eh... Hum. Lessee.... I think I'm improving little by little socially, if nothing else.

Er.... MATH! Math, yes, math! I like Math class. Precalc, which I'd already taken (already taken Calc, too, but private school classes have a really irritating tendency to be insanely different from College classes), but it's alright. I needed the refresher. I often get the impression that the public school system would have prepared me better for the things I have in college. Class organization, study habits, dealing with large class sizes and finding informants from each of them. Just something, right?

Oh, yeah, this was supposed to be about good news... Eh....... At least I'm getting my laundry done without many issues.

School=Inspiration? GASP: I don't know what it is about the fall/winter school seasons, but now that I'm at college, I've suddenly regained my muses and I'm back to drawing and such. Not only that, but it would seem that dispite the lack of activity over the summer, I may have even gotten better! UPDATE: Figures that I said that a month ago. We only just now finished that project, and now have another two to finish. They're considerably smaller, but they're also past their deadlines because of the other one. I'm busy.

However, on eBaum, their work is "submitted" by "anonymous" members and these jerks slap a watermark on it. They claim that if you wish to have your content removed from the site, you can simply request it and they'll have it done. This is sadly not the case. They have proven nonresponsive to such requests, hiding behind the fact that "their" content is submitted anonymously.

What's so bad about that, you ask? I'll tell you, just shut up for a second, alright?

Well, the thing is that these guys are profitting off this content, while the people who actually MADE the stuff AREN'T. If my knowledge of law is correct, that's extortion. If you don't wanna go for that, then it's just plain stealing.

If you're going to be a tightwad and go "OH WELL YOU DON'T HAVE ANY REASON TO HATE THEM," then I just have to tell you I don't have any more reason to hate eBaum than I do to hate Hitler. Just because I'm not affected by the jerk doesn't mean he isn't one. Just give me some credit and read the stuff on that site. E-mails from users who got ripped off, complaints and their responses, media crap, lies and hypocrisy, it's all there. There's even a flash with a catchy tune from Lemon Demon. If you're an eBaum junkie, you NEED to see this. The longer this goes on, the worse it'll get.

....... Actually, it's already gotten pretty far. Apparently Fox is considering making a TV show out of eBaum's World. If you DO know about them, then you know just what a load this is. Not only are they profitting off of their content from the ads, NOW they're going to get freaking ROYALTIES for the dang TV show! You CANNOT tell me that is legal OR ethical.

Please, if there is anything you can do to contribute to the cause; if you know a lawyer(s), if you can donate money to the guys, or even if you know the guy personally and can tell him to cut this crap, JOIN UP. This guy needs to be stopped before this travesty of ethics leads to something terrible.

I'll list a few sites whose users have been ripped off for you: Newgrounds.com, SomethingAwful.com, 4chan.org, Fark.com, weebls-stuff.com, and the list just goes on.

Please, everyone. Don't let this continue. Join the protest. Violence (and haxxoring) is not condoned, advocated, or legal. That doesn't mean you can't lend your voice to the growing number of people who know what eBaum is.

Gaming: Kinda obvious, don't you think? Oh, yes, I've been playing Katamary Damacy a lot lately. I've thought of doing fanart, but it's pretty difficult to draw anything like that, suprisingly enough. Anyway, whatever. XD

Also, my dad just got Halo 2 for our X-Box so we don't have to borrow my brother-in-law's copy of it. Of course, all of this has pretty unfortunate timing, as you'll soon read why.

Tortu... I mean, School Stuff: Ouch. Big freaking essay that I have to get done in a VERY short amount of time. I don't know how big it is compared to what some people may have, but if they have it worse, then I highly pity them. X_x; 1000 word essay I have to have done by Wednesday, and I won't have Tuesday to work on it, so today and Monday are all I'm getting. If I'd started reading the book I'm doing it on earlier, this could have been a bit easier, but not by much, mind you. Anyway...

Other: Unfortunately, because of all the essays and stuff we're being given from school at the moment (for some reason they all choose to pile crap on us now after doing NOTHING all year), I haven't been able to get any decent art done. e.e No sketches, no comics, NOTHING. Sorry, guys. I'll try to work some stuff in at school whenever I can, but what's there to do? This stuff is killing any inspiration I may or may not've had. Ugh.

My big concern is that if this kind of work at home is getting to me so bad, how is college going to affect me? And something I'm even more kinda worried about is what comes after that! But I know I'm just being stupid and thinking WAY too far ahead. That's a lot of time for me to mature and get smarter. I know I'll do fine.

Consumer Report Ooh, I've been a happy boy lately. I've bought S.L.A.I, Resident Evil Zero (started back from the 'beginning after having just finished RE4), Psychonauts, two volumes of Full Metal Panic: Overload!, a few Cowboy Bebop mangas, and another volume of DNAngel manga. I am just that closer to true Nirvana. But since those garage monkeys smell so bad, I think I might just go looking for a different band. Never liked their music anyway.

GamingY'know, I thought I was just a little rusty when I picked SSBM back up, but then I realized I'd always been sorta sub-standard at it. o.o; But then, playing the computer is different from playing real people. Hm....

Maybe Jack Thompson's right. Maybe to practice for the game, I should go out and beat the crap out of random people. Wait, was that how it went.... Bah, no big deal. Wonder if I should go graverobbing to practice for Resident Evil. Those controls and camera angles suck.

TV......TV....... I recently watched some anime called... uh... Kotome High School or something? Has a bunch of delinquint weirdos and a gorrila, a robot, and dude with a handlebar mustache? Well, at first I related it to Bobobo because of its weird randomness, but then I saw another episode of Bobobo, and I realized having a gorilla cooking in a sushi resturaunt is nowhere near as weird as a dude retractable nosehair whips. e_e I.... don't get this show....

The only thing worse than this is that 12 oz. Mouse show on Adult Swim. I won't even go into that. x_x;

In other news, I made the mistake of posting my art on Gaia (some of my best Oekakis, the first few FLCL ones with Canti and Naota). I'm going to graduate at the end of this year, and then I'm off to college. I'll probably be sharing a room and whatnot so it's bound to make being online a little bit different. Not to mention the shift in the way I'm going to be working, and the fact that I WILL be working. After that..... Life, I guess. I have no way of knowing how things will turn out.... I feel I've spent more of my life online than I ought've. Instead of asking my real friends to go places with me I've sat in front of a computer talking to my virtual ones. I love both groups, but I'm going to have to try focusing on getting a life. Now more than ever.

HYAR on a lighter note, I bought a VG Cats t-shirt the other day, and it oughta get here sometime soon. Hopefully. "It's a rat flail!"

1: Yes, Morzox (Me) and Cousin Demento (fat-headed dude, no name change for him D: ) have halos. There's no reason for it, just as there's no real reason for the name being "DuckShot"

2: Their ORIGINAL NAMES (which were on their shirts, I might add) were as follows. The short one, which was a kid, not a midget, was Now. The tall one with the backward cap was Zen. Now and Zen. I got the names from a joke t-shirt company. e.e; Hence the change. My dude didn't ever really have a name, honestly. He was just... well, ME.

3: Why's it named DuckShot? I already said. There is no reason. It would be cooler if it was, I know, but it was a moment of random inspiration. e.e; Sorry.

4: What the hell drug is Cousin Demento on? None. He's just weird. Little Me tolerates him because he's his cousin, but the other two are more cynical of him. Now/Nox is mainly upset because he's no longer the cheerful stupid one. D: But when Cousin Demento's not around I'll let him act like himself more.

But other than that, summer brings with it great boredom and plenty to do with all that time. I intend to do a lot more drawings over the summer, to keep up practice and all. I think I improve little by little with every drawing. If you take a look at my gallery, it's the accumulation of drawings I've done in a period of less than a year. Just think how much better I could get in an even longer amount of time? Or if I'd started earlier, for that matter.

Sketching is one of my favorite things to do if I know what I want to draw, y'know? I have fun experimenting with different techniques, like poses, shading, props, model drawing, etc. It's really cool to see how it'll turn out. I'm always surprised if it turns out better than I expected, because I usually can't see past what I've already drawn. BUT, as I get better that seems to become less of a problem. It's really cool to look back and see how much I've improved. Not bragging or anything, of course.

What I'd REALLY like to be able to do is computer drawings like most of the artists on dA, but I don't have a tablet and I'm not sure how to use PSP7 for that kind of thing. >.>;

Either way, I like my sketches just fine. n.n
